Im a trucker and I can eat. Never had a bad meal always a stop when in Chicago area for me.

Variety of Asian options mostly Japanese, some Chinese and Thai, we had a group of 5 and everyone was happy. Good cocktails. Good rolls, great okonomiaki. We will be back.

Food was decent Ive had better and Ive had worse I was in and out like in 40 min they served me very quick but that tells me alot of the food was pre made and just slipped together service was quick I was hesitant to come here because of the 1 star reviews but gave it a shot and wasnt disappointed not wowed either bit good enough

Came for a lunch special and loved the food.... the ramen was on point... as were the two rolls i ordered... everything was fresh and tasty. Try it! Good people too!

I love this restaurant! Ive eaten here so many times and no matter what I have, its always delicious. The owner Mark is on top of his game and makes sure his teams are operating in together at all times. Ive eaten their sushi during lunch which was VERY fresh, affordable, and delicious. Their Tai soups are spectacular and bursting with flavor. On top of that, their Chinese dishes are authentic with a modern twist. Each time ive eaten here I truly enjoyed the ambiance and meal. Thank you Mark for creating such a wonderful local hot spot, im looking forward to my future visits.

Customer was not good. We were seated quickly but waited about 20 minutes before the manager came over and took our order. The sushi was loosely rolled and the presentation was not up to my standards. Will not be returning.

Its a cozy little place with really great service. The restaurant is always clean and the sushi is wonderful. Definitely reasonably priced. Our kids always get the bento boxes and its by far the best value item on the menu

Good food, and very reasonably priced! The workers were nice and very attentive. I enjoyed my meal and everything was delicious. Their dinner special is very well priced and will leave you feeling filled. I had the general tso’s chicken and it was fantastic. Great place to come for a dinner :)

If you drop by on Sundays or holidays, you can get a 25% discount off deal.I had the tantan ramen (extra spicyand had some seafood pizza. The soup itself is very tasty and light. The noodles had a great bite and were plentiful. I was a bit partial to the minced beef in the soup, but the seafood pizza was a bit of a game changer.If ramen isnt your favorite, there are still other options in the beer/wine menu.

Service is fast! My absolute favorite is the seafood okonomiyaki. Portion sizes are usually decent too. Weve been here many times!

I have been going to Runa for many YEARS because I loved their sushi, cocktails and laid back environment. Ive never had to wait for service and everyone was always kind. However my last visit on 8/20/22 I was BEYOND disappointed to find a CockRoach casually crawling on the window blinds next to me. I immediately left feeling very disappointed because I knew that was the last time I would return to a place i loved so much. Very Disgusting.

I didn’t even touch my food it was the worst smelling food I have ever smelled the drink was good so I recommend that but I do not recommend anything else on that menu point blank. I’m sick

Frequent Flyer! Runa has a great staff! They are truly happy to see you even when the room is busting and the wait is long. They are happy to serve. The menu is A+! Lots of choices! Nice portions! Good Food!

I decided to come here with my husband on 7/30/2022 because I don’t live far and the food looked great in pictures. I came in, we ordered our food and everything was going good up until we saw a cockroach crawling on the seat next to my husbands while we were still eating, we immediately felt grossed out. We called our waiter and he just pushed it to the floor with his knee, didn’t even try to kill it, he then called another waiter to have him clean the chair(which he never did he just did a 1 second swipe across the chair with a dry rag meanwhile the cockroach is still crawling on the floor, at that point I’m just trying to leave, the cockroach manages to escape without being dealt with and no apologies were given to us, I feel that this is extremely disgusting when we paid a good amount for our food and I’m upset on how they handled it by doing nothing, not even reassuring us that they will deal with this problem. Please check your food next time you order from here!

Ordered the dragon roll, ate two pieces and felt ill almost immediately. Roll was soft, shrimp was extremely soft and fishy tasting. Got "ill" in the car on the way home, had to pull over. This was over 14 hours ago and I still feel sick. I suspect I have a mild case of food poisoning from bad shrimp or it was in contact with spoiled fish. Ive read multiple reviews where people have stated their sushi was also soft/spoiled/not fresh. Im grateful that I stopped after the second piece because Im certain Id be in the hospital had I finished.....not worth ruining the whole weekend! If you do eat here Id stay away from the sushi rolls, everything else it at your own risk.

Went to eat there for the first time and we were excited to eat there. When we ordered the fried rice we had a bug that was cooked in with the rice. We wont be coming back again.

My wife and I didnt enjoy this place at all. The food was mediocre at best, especially the Sushi. The light over our table was dusty and some long haired and bearded man sitting at the bar kept going in and out of the kitchen. He may be an owner or not but sir if you are going to spend that much time in the kitchen at least tie your hair back and put a beard net on to keep stuff out of the customers food.

Been in-person twice now and delivery multiple times: always very good food. Korean fried rice, sushi, cucumber salad, and the pear+whiskey cocktail are all highly recommended. Service is fast. You may come in and notice a lot of the seats are unoccupied. Thats most likely due to how fast they are at taking orders, making the food, and cleaning after the customer. Youll be in, out, full and happy in 30 mins. Bet.

Each time Ive been to this place the service was great, people are very friendly, and the wait time isnt long at all. Fresh and delicious food, I recommend this place!

I had never been to this restaurant before. Had the vegetable tempura and the edamame for appetizers. They were soo good! Had the Pink Lady roll for dinner and it was perfection. I would definitely eat at this restaurant again

They offer a Chinese and Japanese menu, a friend ordered a huge bowl of chicken fried rice he enjoyed, and I ordered a spicy sushi roll and a chicken teriyaki bento box. Tasted great, quick service, and fairly cheap. Good portions.

This is my go-to sushi place even though I live kinda far from it now. I absolutely love their sushi! Food comes quickly and is always well presented.

Food was very fresh and excellently prepared. The ramen broth was seasoned very well too. Prompt and courteous service. I will definitely be back. BTW, very reasonable prices.

We come here every few months when were craving sushi. 🍣 We really like their variety, service, and prices. And you can request soy wrappers. :Everything is delish.

This is an Asian fusion place, they have different Asian cuisines including Chinese, Japanese and Thai. So they have 3 different menus. Their Japanese Ramen was delicious and I can’t recommend the dish enough! The service was on the slower side but my water was always filled. The inside is gorgeous, you could make this a fancier dinner or just grab a quick lunch either way the selection of food is great and so is the quality. I would visit again.

The sushi is phenomenal and the have a HUGE variety of Sake. The waitstaff are excellent and the restaurant is very clean. Ive dined in many times and have gotten take-out/delivery, have never been disappointed.

I ordered take out from this spot for the first time. Unfortunately, it was not worth the convenience. The food lacked flavor. The chicken for the sweet and sour chicken was extremely dry. The dryness could be seen and tasted. The sauce didn’t help because it was not good. I’ve never had flavorless shrimp fried rice and egg rolls until today. I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. The rating and number of reviews lead me to try the restaurant, but they were misleading. I won’t be recommending nor patronizing this restaurant again.

Love this place, always a great location for fresh sushi and at a great price. Love their fried rice selection as well, the Korean fried rice and house combo rice are fantastic. Always quick and friendly service, a little sad their weekly specials are gone but those were bonuses. We will return again soon cause we like it so much.

Delicious! Great sashimi portions and I also enjoyed the okonomiyaki. Im excited to try more of the menu. Restaurant is nicely decorated too.

I am really just in shock about how bad the potstickers and ramen was! My gf and I couldn’t even finish barely started and had none of the drinks we tried to order?! What’s going on here I wouldn’t waste time or money here if you’re looking for decent ramen! The bathroom was in nasty condition very sad. Never again!

Everything I ordered was on point.So some sushi places when you order a spicy tuna roll, they will put tuna in a roll and then throw extra spicy mayo right on top, but they did not do that here and I appreciate that. Because they did it the right way and mixed it in.Pretty sure I met the owner as well. Great customer service 👌I was in a rush so I had to order to go.

The best tempura and udon noodles, really delicious food, with a nice presentation plus attentive service. The restaurant has a atmosphere, easy to relax....my daughter and I really liked it!

This place has never disappointed me. Their food and drink selections are amazing! The atmosphere is calm and inviting. The service is humble. The PRICES are quite affordable.I had the Roast Garlic Spicy Miso Ramen with the Firecracker sushi and the Xiangyang cocktail. Loved all of it!!! Thank you for everything!

Ive seen some negative reviews about this place. I think those reviews are wrong! Ive gone back 3 times now trying different things on the menu, and theyve been spot on!! I like this place way better then Hamada. Ive never had such tender pieces of beef, must try!

Pretty restaurant. The ramen wasn’t bad. I don’t eat pork so they gave me miso soup to substitute for the pork broth that comes with their ramen. I had a spicy beef ramen. The beef was thick and juicy. My only complaint was when I went to wash my hands the bathroom wasn’t clean.

First time there. Everything was very good. Price very reasonable. Restaurant was clean and nice ambiance. Definitely will be back.

The food was SO good. Service was great, prices were reasonable, and the servings were pretty big. Its also a pretty chill atmosphere, so all in all, a great experience.

If you dont want to end up in the hospital - Dont eat there!!! Ordered trough the Grub Hub lunch combo choose of 3 and Salmon roe sushi. Salmon roe was spoiled smelled so bad and taste was horrible. They dont even check if the food is good before to serve it to guests. Everything was not fresh even ginger look disgusting. I could not eat it as i also found a piece of plastic in unagi roll. I paid $27 with delivery and tips to Grub Hub for the worst sushi ever. I was afraid to eat it as didnt know what else i can expect to find there. When i called to the restaurant and explained the situation owner refused to return money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE if you dont want to get sick. They dont take safety of the customers serious at all.

I must say the food was really good, I went two days in a row just to see if the same quality was there. Yep it still was some good food. I HIGHLY recommend the Lunch specials.

This was a nice spot. Its located in a strip mall. Next door is a beer brewing place...if you drink beer. And next door to that is going to be a dessert bar...now I will be going there once theyve finished renovating. But back to Runa Izakaya...the asthetics were modern and comtempory in a nice open space. The server promptly attended to us even though he was the only server at the time and it was during lunch time. The server was very attentive. And even though it wasnt after 5:00pm I ordered a Mai Tai cocktail to start the weekend off. There cocktails were really well priced at $6.50. It was well made and they didnt skimp on the alcohol. My husband and I started with Tuna tartar which was well constructed with plenty of flavor, tuna and avacado. However, the Tuna tartar was served with Pringle potato chips...yes I said Pringles. I did ask the serve if they had wonton chips instead of Pringles and he said no, which I found odd since that seems to be a staple in Asian restaurants but we went with it and ate our Tuna tartar with sour cream and onion pringles. I must admit it was different but it was still good. We also ordered a sushi roll called the red dragon...it was basically a spicy tuna roll. We also ordered a sushi dish called the Sandwich made with spicy tuna and crab and looked like...you guessed it...a sandwich.Overall it was a nice experience and will go on my list of restaurants to revisit!

I was there yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised by the fantastic food. The server, after I told him I liked spicy food, recommended the Beef Jigoku Ramen. It was outstanding! The spice level was perfect and the beef was tender and tasty. Looking forward to going back again soon.

The food was good, not great. The service was good. My complaint is the place is dirty. The floors, and walls are gross. If it was clean I was have given it a 4 or 5.
