Ruian Soy Milk - Restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan
The food is delicious and not expensive at all. It is definetly not just for breakfast (in my opinion). I really enjoyed my dinner there. On the table are different sauces to try and the also sell 2 tea/milk drinks.
24 hour breakfast joint with a variety of selections. Perfect spot to go for soy milk after a weekend night out.
Grouchy service, always open, many ways to increase carb and sugar intake
24/7 place. Serves all kinds of breakfast items. Very nice salty soy milk. Prices are fair. Constant queueing in the morning. Must try if you like this kind of food
I like the tang bao. old obasans running the place are friendly in an old school Taiwan kind of way. nice place to watch cars and enjoy the atmosphere
Very good selection of local food, dumplings, noodles and drinks. Delicious and a really friendly service!
Standard selection of items for this chain Restaurant, but I feel the taste is better than in other branches. I like the layout of the shop, somehow nesting in between two lanes, providing a resting space in between busy Taipei. For the 鹹豆漿 the chunks of 油條 could be a bit less friend and cut into smaller pieces, they barely fit on a spoon.
Great breakfast and late night supper spot. The corn egg roll is so tasty. Worth a try!
Good choice for late night food. Love the special 培根蛋餅 they have. Usually crowded around 10-12 at night.
+ : 24h, convenient, nice service, good food, open during new year, open during Typhoon day, tea milk- : some dish not great
this place is always busy, but very efficient with a fast paced working staffyou can find most breakfast items on the menumost importantly its quite clean compared to other places, both taste and environment
Awesome food. No English menu but the staff were super helpful and patient with us. Start from the right and work your way towards the till on the left.
Great local food with cheap prices, the breakfast wrap is a must try!
Great food, even when i had no idea what was in the dumpling. The warm soy milk is great, the cold was not as good as the warm. Place is hard to find, didnt have coffee (other places on same corner dis thoughbut an excellent place for the first breakfast in Taipai.
The food is delicious and good for breakfast.
Wonderful spot. Menu is only in Chinese but don’t let that stop you the food is worth it and the staff are pretty good at understanding basic English. They’ll even teach you some Chinese as a bonus.
My favourite soy milk place in Taipei. Can be crazy busy with students late at night. Great atmosphere. Everything is tasty and cheap.I agree with other reviews from foreigners that this place can be intimidating as there are no English menus and the staff only speak Chinese. They can be curt when its busy and they dont have time to be helpful. If you are stuck try ordering "tang bao" (soup filled pork dumplingsor "shao bing jia dan jia paygan" (pastry with egg and bacon inside and sesame seeds" and of course "bing doh jiang" (cold soya milk to drink). Or just point to things that look tasty displayed on the counter!
This is a place that is visited by many locals, so do not expect any menus in other languages! In my opinion, they serve quality 豆浆 soy milk and decent 油条 (dough fritters). That’s what they are famous for. However, the 蛋饼 (egg pancakewas under expectations after trying others in the country. Other than that it is a quiet place and not overly crowded too!
First stop in Taipei - a real taste of traditional Taiwanese breakfast. Tried the pork floss in rice, the salted soy milk with vinegar and the pastries. No regrets.
definitely the best of the 24 hour taiwanese breakfast spots, everything is delicious and cheap too. skip yonghe & come here instead!
Cheapest xiaolongbao in Taipei. It cost only 60NTD for 8 bao. My favorite drink is the 20NTD milk tea. Wide variety of dish and it also open 24/7. Always go here whenever me and my classmates finish a long day at school. Full of 台大 students. Menu is all written in Chinese and the Ayi is not really helpful, so definitely not a foreigner friendly restaurant. If you are looking for similar kind of restaurant that offer English menu just go to Yong He.
If youre looking for traditional Taiwanese style breakfast/brunch fare without the all the clueless tourists, this is one stalwart to try. Nothing too fancy but very heartwarming and satisfying. The warm staff patiently guided me (a first-timer at their shopthrough their ordering process and also informed me of my options (do I want to add an egg?). I really enjoyed this local experience.
Great soy milk! Compared to Yong Kang, this brand has better ventilated seating where you don’t end up smelling like grease. It’s not centrally located BUT highly recommended for those who can read/speak mandarin and want a better quality soy milk.
Friendly staff and good food!A bit disappointing that they packed everything already so it’s not possible to have a no-plastic option.I had to order hot soy and rice milk because that is the only option to not have it packaged.Really inconvenient in this hot weather but the atmosphere is nice here.
It has many kind of delicious food. Fast serving. However they really need to make English menu since many foreigners are coming here:(
Didn’t feel welcome at all. Tried to order food by showing photos from the other Google reviews. Had to go somewhere else to finish eating breakfast. The other place a few blocks away is a lot easier as a foreigner. Wouldn’t recommend coming here.
Caution to foreigners:- No English menu- No one was interested in helping us- Didnt feel welcomeWe had to order food by referring to photos posted by other reviewers.Go to Yong He Soy Milk King, which is a couple blocks away. A much better experience.
this is one of my favorite place to go for a midnight snack. It serves delicious traditional snacks and the soy milk is absolutely terrific. It’s a great place to hang out with your roommate when you’re both starving at midnight. Usually it’s packed with students but it’s not too noisy
Staffs were super friendly and foods were super nice! Also the price was very cheap!
Open 24 hours, a good place to go anytime when hungry.Has a large selection of choices and most dishes taste pretty good.Pricing is fair and the service is above average. One of the better breakfast places I like to go!
Many foods for selection, dumpling 🥟 was very juicy. A+++++
My go-to place for traditional Taiwanese breakfast without long waiting line. Food has very stable quality and the salted soy milk is quite tasty. Friendly staff with fast service and bargain price, what else you can ask for? (maybe English menu)
收錢的人沒洗手直接做飯糰覺得很不衛生。Cheap, delicious food. Large selection. Fairly clean interior. Sanitation is questionable, however. Lady at the counter handled money and made my rice roll; kinda gross.
Very good dumplings fried or steamed. Highly recommended!
So cheap and tasty with no wating too long time
Pancake is not baked with triditional barrel, can’t compare with 阜杭 at all. Soy milk is plein . Will never go back.
Hot delicious soy milk available 24 hours. One of the places that we as muslim can visit to hang out.
I have tried a few things here and it does not disappoint. They serve more than a dozen of breakfast snack and they are opened twenty four hours! Guess that is the Taiwanese version of all day breakfast? The soy milk is very good too. Come and enjoy cheap and good food any time during the day.
Cheap and traditional food. Perfect for a quick bite.
classic Taiwanese breakfast, soy bean milk, bun, minced pork noodles which I personally like it very much. located near the mrt station as well, easy to find.
A normal and traditional breakfast vendor near National Taiwan University. Be aware that it is always crowded at night near 0:00. All the National Taiwan University student will go there to have their late-night supper there.
A large menu of genuine Taiwanese breakfast foods to choose from at an affordable price. Love their sugar-free soy milk, meat buns, and mushroom porridge!
Hidden Gem. Very nice even though they dont speak English. We had the empanada stuffed with chive and bean sprouts fried with around it. Delish. Will come back.
Comfort food! They have complete Taiwanese breakfast menu. Try the Hot Soy Milk + get one of the meat buns! So good
Delicious breakfasts offered here. The selection is plentiful and it is open 24 hrs. Plenty of seating available and close the the MRT station. Definitely worth trying if you are in Taipei
This place is great and the food was so tasty. Open air restaurant, fast service. No English but you can figure it out easy enough. The place was busy the whole time we were there.
Opens 24hr, decent food place with reasonable price.
I have no idea what Im eating but its amazing for breakfast. This place is open 24 hours and its always packed. This cost me about 68NTD. I dont think the staff speaks English but they have the food out on the counter so you can point to what you want to order!
The food is good and the ladies there are nice, not to mention the price is very cheap. I love Taiwanese food so this is a perfect place for me. Early morning or late night, theyre always open - thats pretty cool.
A place for locals to get a bite any time of day or night. Theres a big menu, and most things taste pretty similar, but its mostly all good and very cheap. Ordering food is a hassle and when theyre busy all you can do is shout and hope someone hears you.
