Always had the best hotdogs in town. Been eating them since I was a kid and Im almost 40. Always clean and friendly. You cant go wrong eating at Rudys.

Definitely a mom and pop atmosphere, which I adore immensely. The hot dogs were delicious! Customer service is great. Cash only.

Absolutely the best hot dogs ever I learned about this place through watching the Tar Heel traveler and every opportunity Ive had to go by there place I have my daughter goes to school in Wilmington and plan on stopping by there every time I go through the people are wonderful I love them dearly and they are always friendly and remembered me when I went in on 8/5/22. The dental office I work at had a get-together in the New Bern office I drove from New Bern to Rudys just for their hot dogs Ive never tasted the slaw but received a cup today with my order and it was delicious too I love these people and Anyone who reads this you are really missing a treat if you dont go by and get one of their wonderful hot dogs! Im a fan for life! FYI I bought 10 hot dogs to bring home while I was there and only eight made it home LOL love you guys! Cheri Dudley, Elm City, NC

Rudys (or locally JimmysFamous Hot Dogs is the kind of place we all search for and delight in finding! Its a small footprint in Goldsboro, NC with a well earned reputation for terrific hit dogs. The menu is limited with burgers available as well. But the dogs are the star of the show. Several toppings are available, but I went with the staffs recommendation of chili and coleslaw. The dogs have a distinctive red casing and are truly delicious. Pair with a soft bun and your favorite toppings, and you have something worth driving for I drove from Chapel Hill just to sample them, and Im so happy I did.The entrance is a little tricky, so watch your GPS closely, but have faith - its worth it!

Talk about customer service!! Not only was the hot dog the best one i have EVER eaten the people are so nice! Mr. James is the best!!I walked in, first time, excited to try a hot dog and i see the cash only sign. :(. James asked what i would like and i said “nevermind i don’t have any cash”. He said “it’s on me”! i am in uniform and he honored my service with allowing me to still try a hot dog and even offered me more when i finished mine in 30 seconds! Love this place and will be back!

Sorry about this review but Its Important! I ate there yesterday & within a half hour I started to get stomach cramps. I ended up spending the rest of the day & night in bed! I had nothing to eat before eating here, so I feel the only thing that could cause this was eating @ this place!

Famous hot dogs! Pretty good burgers too. This is how you know is good, its off the main road a bit, even though you can see it from 70, but it is always busy. Bring cash because they dont take cards.

Passed this place for years. They always had cars in the parking lot. When looking for a place to eat lunch it never comes to mind. The other day we were ready for lunch and it was my birthday, my wife asked what i wanted. I said lets go to Rudys. We were not disappointed. Great food, fast service, nice people and great prices. We will definitely be stopping here more often.

A red hot dog is not my go to but i stopped in yesterday after passing it on a few occasions and peaked my interest. Awesome hot dogs and the price you cant beat. The owners were nice. Its cash only which is fitting for the mom and pop atmosphere which i loved. Will be back for sure. Fed my Whole family of 5 for 20 bucks!!

Fast friendly service. Best Pepsi fountain drinks in town. I was pleased by my Brightleaf chili cheese dog but the real star of the show was the sausage dog. Super flavorful and the skin was cooked just right. They slice it so it is easier to eat, which lets the mustard and onions fall into the slices. So good. Small but very clean bright space. Look for it from the road. Cash only but they have an ATM.

Mom and pop shop. Has a 90s feel to it. Menu is simple and few options but that is the best thing about it, you dont get overwhelmed. Pricing is super good and the dogs themselves were great. Go for the smoke sausage!

We went when it was pretty busy at lunchtime. They got our order out in a timely matter. They sell hotdogs and burgers. You can get a bag of chips on the side. They have very good sweet tea. They have fountain soda too. I like how the owners are faith based and very friendly. The place is very clean. And the the food grade is always above a 95. The prices are reasonable too. A good place to get a good North Carolina red hotdog.

Its getting more and more difficult to find a good dog. Rudys serves the best Ive had in NC. And theyre Good! No fuss, no muss. Good dog served simply.

The hotdogs was ok, cheeseburger want good, frozen patties. The son tried to overcharged. Make sure you get slaw on hotdogs, thats what make them good. Cost 1.70 per hotdogs with slaw and cheeseburgers 2.55.

This family business has been the best for over 20 years for me. My little Poodle had her babies there over 15 years ago! They were the best! They make their own slaw! If you love hot dogs, you have to try James Hotdogs!
