Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q in Nuevo Laredo

It doesnt get any better than Rudys. I first went to the original when I lived in TX 20 years ago. I was so happy to find the exact same experience in Laredo. The barbeque and sides are top notch,and I love the atmosphere.

Food was good and service was great ordering food and checking out. Guy cutting up the meat in the back and the one checking everything out was good people.

This place is getting cheap!! Have to beg them for the sauces

Today Sunday I went to get food on my lunch break I waited 30 minutes in line they were 5 cars in front of me I call the store to find out why they were taking to long they just say going to check my order was horrible I ask brisket sandwich chopped and they gave me sliced very dry I spend $29 for this bad service no spoons no forks no barbecue

I am handicap, so entertaining I was tripped by their matt. When I informed them, nothing was done. Handicap accessible is bad. Food is good, but not worth falling. I will not be returning.

Today 06/09/2022 around 12 noon a girl who was at drive-they needs to learn what is “no rub” on the brisket. No Rub means NO black burn brisket on the outside. Why can’t anyone just give a order the way it’s ask for? Or is having a BURN RUB REQUIRED EVEN IF REQUEST IT WITHOUT? LOUSY BAD SERVICE!!! And if one asks for MOIST BRISKET WHY DO ONE GET A DRY BRISKET??!!??! Learn to take orders dummies. Geezes

Keeping it authentic, the brisket was fork tender & flaky just like their NM location. Can’t beat the buttery new potatoes & perfectly al dente corn on the cob! The slaw was simple and refreshing. I went for supper on Friday evening. I ordered the brisket sandwich. Unfortunately, the brisket was extremely dry.

My personal opinion. The food is just amazing when you want to have brisket, corn, sausage, ribs and more with barbecue. I just love to eat here.

We never had problem all these years til today. My husband was almost half way out to eating rotten sausage. Like who serves guests rotten sausages!!!! I did warn him because it didnt smell or look right to me. He ate it because he said it was smoked. I said no its rotten.

I could eat here everyday... Actually had Rudys more times in the past 3-4 weeks than Id like to admit.Most brisket is the way.

Good food. Good service & staff was friendly & patient since this was my first time at any Rudys. They even handed out samples to try before I decided. I thought the moist brisket was quite good

If you are looking for a spot to try authentic Texas BBQ, this is the place. They have Brisket (I recommend the Brisket moist since its more juicy), also the baby back ribs are extremely delicious as well as the jalapeño sausage. Also you can ask for potato salad or coleslaw if you want to include some vegetables. Additionally they have like a salad bar but its basically pickles, jalapeños, onions, etc... to eat as a side with your meal. The beer is around $3. Prices are a bit high but worth it. Its A very comfy place to eat with friends or the family. Face masks are not mandatory.

Awesome Texas BBQ, best ever! Not a fancy place but the food was super good. Big crowds and very popular place As on a Friday night it was packed. Will stop by again when I return to Laredo!

Love the brisket moist and corn with the cream !!😩💗 The food would leave you very satisfied and full. It’s a little pricey but worth it. Customer service was very helpful and friendly. The cashier Cris or Chris definitely deserve a raise. Will come again!

Always great food.

Im usually not very picky with food, but we got some 5 brisket and bean burritos and 5 bean burritos. The reason this matters is because once we got home and started looking we ended up thinking they had given us 10 bean burritos. After biting into one, we figured out that they had given us our correct order but they had put very little brisket on the burritos. The only thing I really enjoyed from Rudys thats breakfast related is the hot sauce.

While the food was great as I expected the service was terrible. We had ordered a 10 person meal to be ready the next day at 12pm. At 11:45am an employee called to tell us that they didnt have anymore peach cobbler and asked if we wanted banana or chocolate pudding instead. When we got to the restaurant a few minutes later we asked why they didnt have any peach cobbler for us. They stated that they had 2 unexpected large orders of it that morning so they couldnt fill ours. We asked them if an order placed this morning trumps an order placed yesterday and they told us yes. The manager came to talk to us, and didnt offer us a discount or anything to make up for their bad business practices. This is the worst managed Rudys that I have ever been to. I would have given the food 5 stars, but overall I would give 0 stars if I could due to the management.

This was one of the most disgusting shoulder brisket barbecue I have ever had greasy to the max almost raw looking like they cooked it quickly and look more like a roast horrible that you can get away with this I hope you contact me and could tell you how a good brisket is made I am not a professional cook but I could do lot better Joe hernandez add Joegh18023329.gmail.com PS That brisket barbecue went in the trashcan where it belonged

Not good. I saw the young colored guy in red cap handling the dust pan and broom then went on to handle the foam packaging and proceeded to prepare sandwiches without gloves or washing hands. Is the job too hard for him or is that how he was trained?

Can’t say enough about Rudy’s if you love barbecue you will love Rudy’s located all over but my favorite is in Laredo Texas the people were extremely friendly it was very clean the price is awesome and as I said the food is delicious I have no problem giving this a thumbs up and a place you must go to in Texas

Not sure what happened but the pork loin and turkey I ordered in pounds was extremely dry and overcooked. Manager didnt seem to care to solve the issue when I told him about it. Dont go here if you want good service and food.

Used to love this place. Went today to get some of the Green Chile stew that I love. It should be renamed Green Chile Soup because it had little to no ingredients. The turkey sandwich that I ordered as well was tiny, two small slices for sandwich that is $6.49 is a ripoff. The turkey was dry and just not tasty. Last time I ever going to rudys bbq.

Baby back ribs WAY OVER COOKED. Too dry.. Yall should pull the membrane off the back. Did yall change the beans? They taste like yall opened a can of pork and beans. Not what I remember. The only good thing was the cold beer. What a waste of 17.00

Very long wait. Two different people took my order multiple times. No eggs in an order where everything should have come with eggs. Coffee is cold. Asked for extra spicy sauce and red salsa, but received a mix of bbq sauce and only one salsa for two tacos.

Been going to Rudy’s for 20 years now, they’re my favorite consistent fast food bbq in tx. Ordered here a couple of times but my order yesterday required mentionOrdered lean brisket, and it was mostly gristle and fat. The flavor was off, rancid tasting. Threw it all away with how bad it tasted.Gave it two stars because the turkey is always moist and great.This location is just not as good as the others in Texas. I’ve had a couple experiences here with the quality being subpar, namely the flavor not as good as other locations. But this most recent brisket experience was just awful

A really nice BBQ place! Decided to come here on a whim for dinner and I was not disappointed The restaurant was big inside and out, clean, and easy to navigate, with the so called cafeteria like make actually assisting with how you moved and ate. Service was A+, friendly, social, and very patient with you upfront! Food was great to, from the great Brisket with Sauce, potatoes, potato salad, and even pickles! My only real complaint is the table I sat at was sticky but other than that? Worth every penny!

We had two brisket sandwiches and the brisket was extremely dry despite sauce, and didnt have much flavor. The peach cobbler was very bland as well. The best part of the meal was the potato salad (addictiveand the banana pudding (but a little too much whipped topping). I was supposed to get bread and didnt. We did a takeout meal and I dont think we will again. This might be better for a sit down meal. Ordering online was very easy though so if you are a fan, I highly recommend using it with curbside. They have the process down.

The brisket and turkey are quite tender and tasty! The potato salad and cream corn were good. I went through drive thru and did not receive any condiments as in the bbq sauce, bread, pickles, onions and jalapeños. Honest mistake I believe but still... I got off and grabbed everything I was missing plus utensils which is a plus! The pictures were at the end so not as good looking as before we dug in.

It’s really good and sandwiches are nicely filled. Cream corn is amazing. Only to go orders now (pandemic)-but dine inn is open I believe. My to go order has been right each time. Recommend using the app since their drive thru lines are usually long. But don’t worry , if you stop by drive thru they won’t take that long. :pretty quick.

Very good BBQ for a chain. The loaded baked potato with chopped beef is my favorite. I have to eat here at least 2 - 3 times a month.

One of my favorite places for BBQ, I love the sauce, I always order moisty brisket and a side of sweetcorn. If you havent been here you should try it without hesitation.

This is an unmisseable place to go to eat when you visit Laredo, TX. Food is great for the family. Me and my 2.5 years old son really enjoyed the turkey and sweet corn cream. The beers at the queue line really got me, specially when we talk about Laredo´s heat. They also have "drive in" service but I rather to eat there. I don´t five stars to this place because of the big amount of "one time use" things they have for the service.

I had the ribs. They came right off the bone and were amazing. Was really impressed with the quality. Ill definitely be enjoying more in the future.

Absolutely loved the creamy corn & there brisket sandwiches with there signature Sissy Sauce! This real All American atmosphere is Devine to my eyes and ears after being over the road for thos last long hours! Will definantly be bringing family & friends back here, Thank You...

First time visiting Laredo on business. Checked out Trip Advisor for top restaurant reviews. I list eating as a hobby, so I do not say this lightly: Rudys is some of the best food I have ever eaten. The brisket, the chicken, the pulled pork, the cream corn, the beans (they let you sample it before you buy it!)... phenomenal. If you like BBQ, Rudys is a mandatory stop. THIS is how you prepare BBQ!!
