I cant believe the experience I had at Rozafa last night. My friend and I had met up in Manchester for a drink and then decided to go to Rozafa to eat because we both like Greek/Cypriot food. Although I couldnt fault the food which was very tasty, I was appalled at the attitude of a member of staff. We ordered wine with our food and opted for a carafe of red wine rather than a bottle which was really nice. During the course of our meal, staff were constantly coming up asking if we needed anything else. At one point whilst I was in conversation with my friend a certain waiter came up and muttered something and before long another carafe of wine appeared despite the fact we were only part way through the existing one. I called a waitress over and told her that we had not ordered this. She apologised and took it away. When we got the bill, I noticed that 2 carafes of wine were included so I asked for the bill to be amended. The original waiter then came over and told us that 3 carafes of wine had been at our table and it was the third one that was taken away. He was very rude and stood there with his arms folded arguing that I was wrong and wouldnt accept that we had only one carafe of wine. I think it was a member of management who then intervened and we only paid for 1 carafe of wine. Why on earth would we order 3 carafes of wine . If we intended drinking a lot of wine then we would have ordered a bottle.I have never experienced customer service like this. It was a dreadful experience and I will not be going back there in a hurry !

Food lovely (hence 2 starsbut hardly a relaxing meal. Felt very rushed. Asked for a 10 min gap between courses but food arrived within 2 mins so had to ask them to take it away as we were not ready. Upon receiving the bill, asked for the service charge to be removed as we werent happy. The waiter with a bad attitude,I believe to be called Jani scrunched up the bill in front of us then went to get another one printed minus service charge. Unfriendly experience. That was our second visit to this restaurant and our last.

WORST experience in Manchester. The menu is huge, clearly showing a complete lack of quality. Let me explain why you should avoid this terrible restaurant. The staff particularly the rude man in the waistcoat insulted the young waittress infront of us twice making us very uncomfortable. He then was really difficult to get hold of to order/get the bill literally sat around waiting for almost 20 minutes. He ruined the experience for me and my wife. The food itself is terrible. Literally the least authentic greek food I have ever had. Embarassing and so so expensive, 2 tiny pieces of Hallumi for £15! I literally didnt finish my meal it tasted like microwave meals. Then the service charge, they add 15% then the rude waittress in front of other customers insulted me when I asked they remove this as I had an awful experience and service. The waistcoat man (manager I thinkthen wouldnt bring me over the card machine and tried to bully me into paying it.I refused and had to go to the till as he refused to come back to let me pay. He threw the receipt at me and was so rude.Theres plenty of good places in Manchester, this place needs closing, terrible food and service!

Groupe of 8 of us popped in last minute while waiting for the delayed coach back home after an awards ceremony. This was the first time most of the group had ever been to a Mediterranean type of restaurant so they did not really understand what everything was on the menu..The staff were warm and welcoming.. not to mention funny as hell 🤣 absolutely brilliant at explaining and asking if anyone had any food allergies, Moreover what exactly everything was on the menu and put the guys at ease. The menu was excellent and food was amazing.Overall good time had by all. 😁

A genuine taste of Greece in the heart of Manchester. Beautiful place, varied menu, reasonably priced, good service, fabulous Greek food. This was my second visit, and a celebration lunch for my daughters birthday. It was well worth it and we left very happy and very full. Thank you Rozafa. Well be back.

Genuine family run Greek restaurant, friendly service and fun ambience, including Greek music, dancing staff and plate smashing! Food was amazing too, even vegan options (although not marked on the menu). We have walked past this place 100 times and not tried it until tonight, but we will certainly go back.

Booked a table a few days before we went. Got there and they had no table reserved even though I had a confirmation. Made me show them before they believed me. Got given the worst table inbetween door and stairs with people constantly walking past. Order was taken and then we waited. Others came in after us and got drinks before us. Eventually our drinks came. Food came out to people that arrived 20 mins after us. We asked where I food was after 40 mins was told its coming. Complained again after 50 mins and then it arrived. Some of it tasted good some average. We got the bill had been charged extra 3 pounds for barbecue sauce which we didnt have and also they added service charge which we didnt really want to pay for such bad service. Prices were much higher than menu on website Wont go again.

Lovely restaurant. Food was beautiful. I had a lamb dish and my daughter had a lasagne . Stunning . Drinks menu was a little limited and pricy . No cider . Very few wines served by the glass . They automatically add a service tip which I dont like .

Second time visiting this place and not very satisfied. The service could be much better, the jokes from staff are inappropriate. When we were eating food each staff member was coming every 3 minutes asking us if we have finished our meals, which was very annoying. The food was average, some dishes were quite salty. The price you pay for dishes doesn’t reflect the service and the food itself.Overall, wouldn’t recommend this place. The only positive thing is the young lady, she was very polite and did her job really well.

Amazing! Came for my dads 60th and the staff went above and beyond! The food was perfect, just a shame they don’t have a children’s menu but no drama! Everyone left happy! Food is a little expensive but we’ll worth it! Was 14 of us and the bill came to £522 including drinks and service charge. Definitely recommend

I cannot review the food as I did not get to try any.We were a table of five, ordered some food that never arrived. After one hour of waiting we tried asking the waiters to give us an estimate but they were all refusing to give us any explanation while being very rude (apart from a young lady that was the only one to apologize for the inconvenience and be very nice). If only they gave us some pita bread or anything to just not starve we would have probably stayed and forget about the inconvenience.Very bad service.

Watch the “compulsory” service charge on all bills. We were already spending £20 on mains. Was treated very rudely by the staff, the cost of taking a plate from kitchen to table is factored into the menu. Doesn’t need adding on as a mandatory charge, looks like lots of other diners have the same complaint. You will get plenty of attitude and bullying by staff if asked to remove it, nowhere on the bill says it is discretionary and could be removed on request. The menu has old prices tipex’d out and new prices manually written on - about 25% higher for some dishes.. The service was not that good - we were given wrong items and found it hard to get servers attention. Asking where toilet is were given answers like you can go down the street.. strange humour from the staff and although food was okay the drinks and food were very pricey, with 10% compulsory charge added on top of this it felt like a rip off.

One waiter was very unfriendly as I asked to sit somewhere else as I didnt want to be near the door where outside diners could be smoking. He proceeded to be rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming the rest of the night. Food was passable, service was poor until it was time to pay and then they flew over. No atmosphere just grumpy men. Boxes of produce and plastic containers of prepared food was being trawled through the restaurant all night. We spent over £90 and I did not relax all night. Do not go unless youre the chosen table you will be ignored and be given over priced food

Didnt like it. The place didnt feel right and the food wasnt particularly good. Did feature the worst flaffel I have ever eaten and the one none of us would attempt. We had the mega mezze for 2 plus some other small plates between 4 of us. Which was enough food but the food was like grey canteen food, at the end of a long days trading.

I decided to visit Rozafa after looking for Greek restaurants in Manchester and thankfully I wasn’t disappointed. The whole experience felt very authentic, the menu was large and varied, the prices were fair, and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and you got big portions of each dish. I think I’ve found a new favourite restaurant!

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to try the food. I went with a group of colleagues and we were only allowed to order the shared dishes (only 3 options from the menuinstead of being able to order another plate from the extensive menu. It wasn’t logic at all, they just wanted us to get the shared options which of course, were more expensive (price per person). After we ordered, The waiter did not take my order and a friend (we wanted the meat menu); so when we noticed that everybody’s food arrived but us, we asked what happened. The waiter replied to as blaming us for not ordering, in a very rude tone. Indeed, he started to yell at me saying that I arrived late (which wasn’t true). I asked him why he was yelling at me and he decided to just start talking to the men in the group. Other female friends in the table also felt mistreated by him. He would only be polite to the men in the table and yell or mistreat women, which is UNACCEPTABLE for a Manchester City centre restaurant. In addition, he never apologised or asked us if we wanted to order something so they could bring it now. He was just blaming us and defending himself. Unfortunately at that point we decided to leave the restaurant. I will never go or recommend this place to anyone. Women should be treated with respect regardless of the cultural differences that staff may have with the customers. This kind of violence is not acceptable not here, not in Greece, not anywhere.

Unfortunately, as a Greek person, this was a terrible experience. It’s very disappointing that they use this food to represent the Greek cuisine. They have ‘Greek’ roasted potatoes on the menu, but they are not Greek. The dish contained 3 pieces of a potato and were dry as well. No olive oil, no oregano. Nothing. Just salt and pepper. In addition, my friend is vegetarian and I asked one of the staff if the dolmades are filled with meat and they told me they don’t. When the dish came, as a meat eater, I noticed that it has meat mince. I am sorry for this review. I hope you get this feedback as a way to improve. The staff were friendly and kind and the dancing part and the music made me feel like I was in Greece.

The food was good. It worth five star. However, one of the staffs was very rude to my colleague. Rather than apologizing the mistake, the staff rudely argued with him. It didnt give the vibe of welcoming everyone.

I went with my Greek friend and she told me that not a single dish that was served was good. For the Greek roast potatoes, they literally just gave us 3 pieces of dry potato and charged 3.50 pounds for that. The only thing that was good about this restaurant was that the experience was nice and the servers and chef were doing traditional Greek dancing. They also told us that the dolma was vegetarian and it was filled with meat mince. I am a vegetarian and I unknowingly ate that. Not going again.

Had a light meal there with my wife. Was surprised by the prices - higher than some trendy places in Central Manchester! Funny bit: they change the prices on the menu by hand. ;)Salads - Greek and seafood - were pretty awful; too much vinegar, copious amounts of red onions, and pretty average dry feta.Vegetable moussaka was quite tasty though. Also, they brought still water instead of sparkling. The staff are friendly. The disabled toilet is clean and convenient. The music however is very loud and annoying. (Why?)

Good first time experience at this Greek restaurant that we always walked past. Their food is more expensive than food in Chinatown but they have a non-exhaustive menu! Got decorations in and out of the restaurant too. If you are going for dinner you might want to go early as the wait can be REALLY long around 7-830 pm.

We found this lovely restaurant recently and have eaten here twice both times for lunch.I recommended this place to a friend who visited on Friday 15th 1p.m. They had booked a table for 6 but only 5 were able to go.They had a lovely meal but were not happy to be charged a 20% service charge. I checked my receipt to discover we paid 10% sevice charge which was fine. Just wondering why the difference? Needless to say my friend was not impressed with this and will not be visiting again or recomending you to any of her contacts.

Food was lovely and nice location, however, the serving staff need to learn how to be less grumpy. We are students, dont have a tonne of money, but even so, we are paying money for their food, drink and service, so this should be appreciated enough to not suddenly get this bored and grumpy attitude as soon as we ask for the cheapest wine and turning down the £35 chefs special for something more reasonably priced.

Look no further for superlative Greek sit-in food in central Manchester. Welcoming and attentive service, carefully- and authentically-prepared dishes, and portion sizes that denote a rare and excellent value for money. The homemade chips, Athena pitta, and tzatziki are musts.

Decent food, reasonably priced but nothing special. The service was slow and the waiter vaguely unpleasant. Astonishingly we had to pay in cash, with no explanation beyond some muttered response that wed been informed of this beforehand (which we hadnt). We managed to find £80 from somewhere but we will never visit this restaurant again. This is the only negative review Ive ever posted but the service was so poor I felt obliged to comment.

The best sea bass Ive had anywhere in the UK! The lemon and dill on it made for the perfect flavors. It was perfectly filleted and perfectly cooked. Id get it 100 more times if I could. My girlfriend got the yemista which is basically stuffed peppers. She absolutely loved it. The drinks were great and most of the staff were very kind.Very fun environment while still managing to keep the romantic side intact.

The food was stellar and we cant wait to come again. We had Taramasalata, Hummus and Baked Feta all with hot pita bread and they were very tasty, fresh and filling. We completed the meal with a chicken kebab and feta baked beans. Again very fresh and tasty. For £10 per person for 2 courses, its a bargain. We will definitely come again 🤩

Oh.... my..... bloody..... God!!!!Me, my birthday girl misses and our two daughters have just had the most authentic, tasty, beautiful Greek food ever. Its like dining in a Greek Taverna in Crete, rather than on a main road in Manchester. The staff were extremely welcoming and Janni made my other halfs birthday meal there extra special.Thank you for having us, we spent a small fortune but it was soooo worth it.I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. 🇬🇷 😊😋

Food was wonderful, probably for "less salt" lovers will be too salty, as for me and friends - was perfect. Portions are big, do not worry about leaving hungry. Tip for Razafa itself - those "heads down" Roses on tables better be freshened up or removed at all + be careful with the humour, some of them made us confused.

The staff were really helpfull and friendly and they made us feel welcome. The restaurant was clean and well design, as well as the greek music that gave a nice atmosphere. The food is traditional and really tasty, I enjoyed everything. Also, the portions were big- I already felt full from the starter so it was difficult to finish. Glad we took some time to eat here!
