Royalwood RV Resort - Golf course in Chilliwack, Canada
Really fun full size course. Some of the best greens around. Great speed. Wide fairways with beautiful scenery. Good price for a nice course.
The sites are so squashed we couldnt get the 21ft baby rv in and said no thanks. The facilities were poor, mainly permanent residency and right next to the road. Look elsewhere.
The golf course was great. Enjoyed playing there
Loved the relaxing ambiance
We love to visit this beautiful tulip festival every year. Its worth the trip from Vancouver (about an hour).
Links style golf , good , fast greens
Everything is beautiful. The flowers took me to heaven😍😍
Went there last week and it was magnificent !
Variety of Tulip and few Daffodil.
Nice place for Tulips viewing, photography and Photoshoots. Parking is free, washrooms are bio toilets, there are food trucks inside as well but we didnt try. Overall a pleasant experience! You need not to book online tickets, up to you.
The course is what you would expect for the time of year. The greens are in really shape and the staff are great.
Worst place in Chilliwack BC. (See web site below)During the Floods (2021in Chilliwack, we called inquiring about two nights or more of accommodations.Their site boasted many amenities including showers and restrooms. When I arrived to pay the owner for two nights. He was "kinda" friendly and boasted of being religious...? I was directed to my stall, where I setup for the two nights. At about 9 pm I went to the shower/restrooms only to discover they are closed/locked and no way to contact anybody, and have been closed "for Covid" (per their typed signfor quite some time...How could a person renting overnight accommodations fail to mention/indicate on the web site or even give the customers a memo regarding NO TOILETS, SINKS OR SHOWERS AT ALL THREE REST ROOMS!Their web site says nothing about this!! On three separate conversations with two of us...the owner made no mention of this fundamental lack, of the very most basic of services.I had to unhook, re-rig and drive (4 kmto a McDonalds.I had to sleep in a parking lot of a retailer with a bathroom, on the second night.Cannot believe this guy, taking advantage of people during the state of emergency from the flooding.I should have known, as his negative ratings are almost 40+% out of a 98 reviews!!This is clearly an action intended to deceive the casual traveler.Do read the excessively bad reviews this person has managed to amass.I have contacted him for a refund, with no results. Charge backs are in order and reviews of the these facts will be made at public forums.
Its beautiful...great people! Contrary to what one review said, we Do have an area for small bonfires, during spring and summer their are fire ban laws all over BC, we have washrooms with showers... and yes...they take tokens which you conveniently buy at office, we are conveniently located right beside lovely golf course , Dukes bar and grill, township of Greendale and city of Chilliwack. Rates are very good , people...for the most part , very nice, but if your rude, obnoxious, or expect something for nothing, keep going. John and Adrian are very accommodating, and work hard to keep place beautiful, clean with no rift raft ! Golf and driving range beautiful with excellent rates and you are allowed small dogs, on leash, and you clean up after them. All in all I really like being here .
Crowded, none of the trailers have numbers on them so hard to find
The tulip festival was nice but only two colors
This place must be run by clowns. I called and left 30 msgs and didn’t receive a single call back. Msged the place via Facebook page and was told by the golf course part that the rv park has horrible management
Had a great time at the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival
Absolute criminals!! Beware all campers as this is a scam. A complete rip off as you are simply put in a parking lot, not a campground. And then when you go to complain, the office is closed and the phones go unanswered. They hide behind a ‘no refunds’ posting because they know they will be challenged by anyone foolish or unlucky enough to book with them. I learned that many other people have experienced thefts at night, likely from the ‘long term’ tenants who look at you like fresh meat as you drive in. It feels dangerous and ‘seedy’ and would not be safe for any family to try and camp there. You would be far better off in a Walmart parking lot than this travesty of an RV Park.
I understand that when reservations are made that sometimes, refunding them is not possible. That being said, when you leave multiple messages during business hours to inform them of extenuiating cicumstances beyond my control that were going to make me unable to use the reservation, it would have been nice to receive a reply from there managment. I did receive the charge for the full amount of the stay. When I called to inquire about the charge, they were happy to tell me they couldnt help me, and essentially Thank you for your money for no services provided. I would have been happy with possibly a credit or something towards my future stays..that being said after being offered nothing...I will discontinue patronizing their establishment and recommend that others do the same! .
Dont even waste your time at this place. "Big dogs" are not allowed I have a 30 pound basset hound. As well as if the site manager had of let me speak cut me off several times he would have known it my mom and she was only visiting. I talked to him over the phone and he said it was ok and clearly changed his mind in a matter of seconds. It was most likely because I was young (27). The site is extremely noisey and crowded huge pigstye.
The park has all the amenities however I personally found the park to be crowded and parking was congested with very little room to manoeuvre.
This place is no good, was told I could rent a storage spot with a credit card, being debit visa, I then had my unit towed to the storage in their grounds and the guy running it started freaking out because its a visa debit card not a visa card.. I then had to scramble to find another spot on the fly.. .I would be sceptical about coming to this place for any reason other than maybe a days golf. The guy running this place is bat crazy I was lucky I was even able to get my money back from them. Go ahead and stay here if you are wanting to put up with fake people who are not stable mentally and will leave you hanging in a heartbeat
This RV and Golf resort is situated right on the highway so there is quite a but of traffic noise. In spite of that we still slept well. The sites are nice and level. Wide enough we could out out the awning although not a lit if extra space. Adrian in the office is a nice young fellow and very informative about the area. Havent golfed yet but course looks nice and is affordable. We will return!
Best vets office Ive been too
Fairways are in rough shape. But not an expensive course either.
Unless you are a seasonal camper, golfer and deaf DO NOT CAMP HERE. There appears to be only 3 pull-through overnight sites. None have a picnic table or are wide enough for one. The highway noise is EXTREMELY loud. You might as well just be pulled off onto the shoulder.
We stayed at this campground for only one night, which was our luck! I would not recommend it to anyone... the spots are small, no tables/fire pits or whatsoever. The reception only opens at 9.30 so quite strange if you are in need of shower tokens.
i Have tried to get into cotton wood 4 times before I move to Royal wood the woman an man at the office both very rude snappy and not interested in me . I had just bought my trailer Brand New lm a senior they wouldn’t even let me look around at the park so I went down the road to ROYAL WOOD rented a spot Two weeks before I moved from AB John was nice very helpful . I didn’t like my spot so I moved 2 times in the same park they were very helpful I have flowers out side real steps a shelter Small dog Very relaxing here. A place I can afford other places rates are very high We have a service station at the top of the road you can pop chip etc They have showers laundry machines they also have Rooms up top of office you can rent rates are great large kitchen and balcony very clean the golf course have a dinning room food is great . Winters mild summers lots of flies great view .
Very small sites, no grass or picnic table, not accommodating
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Sites are very narrow.
Great place to stay! Very friendly staff and super clean
It is very well kept. The people here are friendly and its children friendly. A great rv park.
Wow beautiful family and friends get to gather area for one month only
Early bloom. Very muddy now bring boots.
It is inexpensive but they only have a few campsites available for drop ins. Most live permanently. 2018 they have changed rules and now only allow 2000 or newer rigsWhich for us is a disappointment as we have been going there since the conception from a gravel lot with no office buildings
Came here when the tulip and sunflower festival were held. Had a variety of activities when the events were running.
Parking was way to tight as there was no places for people to park there vehicles.Sights are very small. We had to ask people to move there vechiles so we could park and leave.Garbage was piled around the garbage can for 2 days.Laundry was expensive.Located right beside the noisey highway. This is not a resort as they call it.Staff on golf cart cut us off twice while trying to park.
Clean. Cheap and quiet place to be
The golf clubs are priced too high, i think they dont want to sell them and keep them for display only.Nice course.
Good course...still a little wet...good greens...good $ value...Cheers
The guy/operator of the camp group was absolutely rude as heck. Zero PR skills. The “campground” was mostly a pavement/gravel lot, with RVs parked so close together, you’d be able to smell your neighbours morning breath. It was a filthy RV Park, with garbage strewn everywhere and unkept rv/ trailers everywhere
Basically. A basic gravel parking lot
If you want cheap this is the place to come if youre looking for a pristine Golf Course dont go here
Calling to inquire about availability for a long term RV site and I was connected to a very rude man who didnt seem to know any pertinent information about the RV park or seem interested in answering any questions and then proceeded to hang up on me. It looks to be a nice RV park from the photos on the website, it is hard to know why they would have someone so rude answering their phone.
Extremely rude and inconsiderate management. Stay away from this place unless you want to get yelled at for no reason.
Inexpensive for full hookups (hydro, water and sewage Nothing special. If you are looking for a weekend in the area or a stop over on your trip it is perfect. Showers, laundry, etc.... I would recommend it for that. Not a family get away and no play equipment for kids. Just a staging area.
Horrible management. I have seen the owner yelling at people for as little as where they parked. He lost it on me because my dog was barking at him as he walked by. Never go there he will make your life miserable
All good except having hard time getting on. Wfy
Thank you for providing a place to stay for the " One More Step Walk " for Awareness of Invisible Illnesses
its really a parking lot has no trees no grass gravel ,most time no attendant around does not show up before 930 am leave often during the to toke up leaves often by 430 pm lots of year rounders in old campers stay there year round and most of all the putrid smell of pig manure from the pig farm next door will gag you
