Great Food but wasnt given a Dessert Menu or Offered Coffe or Tea.

Food doesn’t taste good

Received a delivery order and meal was still hot & super fresh. The Basmati rice was fluffy and mango chicken curry extra creamy with great amount of spice for Hot. Really good portion of chicken too! Very tasty, and the poppadums are always so crispy - love it!

The best Indian Restaurant in the Tauranga region. Excellent food, ambience and service.

It might seem a bit pricey at first glance, but it is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I have had. Weve had 3 times now and each time has been wonderful. Well worth the price tag

A wobbly table and a sticky floor with a semi broken chair was not a good start . Korma was great , other dish was a bit dry ,staff friendly and good service .

Panner did not look fresh or cooked well and was overcooked. Not ordering again from here

Ive ordered here a few times but last week they forgot my mint sauce with two dishes and today I end up with a chicken saag when I asked for lamb wont be coming here again

Possibly the worst biryani I tasted ever. Cheap rice mixed with uncooked lamb. Never ordering again.

First time ordering from Royal taste since moving to the area a year ago. Was probably the worst Indian takeaway Ive had and more expensive than where I usually order from. My chicken Punjabi was full of water after dishing it up all the water separated and made my meal disgusting. My wife ordered Lamb Bhuna, the meat was dry and over cooked and it has huge chunks of onion throughout that were bigger than the lamb. Overall both curries were bland and we did not enjoy at all. We only order out occasionally as a treat and this was a let down.

If you are asking an Indian, this is the best place to have Indian food in town. Period.

Great food but not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Will be back.

Update 2 days later, I currently have food poisoning..Have had many curries over the years from this place all were delicious although there must have been chef changes at times because I order the same thing each time but what I recieve is rarely the same! Sometimes its orange or tan in colour sometimes its green, the flavours have also ranged so much I joke Ive forgotten what a korma tastes like.Overall though they have been stellar up until this evening.2 naan ordered and one was missing, the one I did recieve was half the size it should be and for 4.99 a piece I felt a bit miffed but decided to let it slide in favour of the steaming goodness before me.Unfortunately the korma was the most disappointing Ive ever had. It was watery and lacking in creaminess, the depth of flavour was there but I had ordered hot and got a mild at best. The meat was perhaps the biggest let down, good sized pieces but dry tough and grisly.I only allow myself a cheat meal like this once every few months and it was definitely a complete let down.I wont be ordering from here again for a while but for their past meals that were delicious Im willing to give them another chance at some stage and hope that it was a one off.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Restaurant. I had a 2 curries, with a couple of beers. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups. Thanks chef and pardeep for the best dinner

Fabulous butter chicken..lovely rice..thoroughly enjoy good service...didnt like naan bread as it was too bulky

I like the taste and friendly staff a lot. I pretty much go here 3-4 times every week. Im a vegetarian so love paneer kulcha and paneer dishes here.

Do not order online. Waited an hour and a half for our food to be delivered and tried calling multiple times to see where they were at with it, no one was answering the phone. Ended up having to drive up there and ask for refund as they hadnt received our order. Really disappointed as it seems like a busy local spot.

Best curry in the Bay! 10/10 highly recommend trying it, I always go for the korma or butter chicken and the garlic & cheese naan is amazing too

Since the new owner takes it over the food quality and quantity is gone down by half and price is very according to other restaurants in town. I use to go quit often but now i dont recommend anyone to try this one.

My Husband and I love authentic Indian Curry.. we have a fave restaurant in Tauranga and tend to go there mostly, but thought we would try Royal Taste.. Im sorry but we were sorely disappointed. The waitress was sweet but unknowledgeable. The 2 Currys were mooshy and stodgy, overly sweet and very underwhelming in their flavour profile. We asked for med to hot and medium and both curries were mild. We asked for the chicken to be from the tandoor.. that was no problem, but the chicken was dry and overcooked, it looked like breast, rather than thigh. The Lamb in the lamb dish was very nice.All in all we left feeling very disappointed.. and we are unlikely to go back.

ordered butter chicken & lamb rogsn josh via Uber eats tonight.....paid nearly $20 per meal & we were lucky to get 8 pieces of meat in each dish!!! very disappointing for the price. wont be recommending this place, nor buying from here again. 👎

Not the best night... had better eating at this place... but tonight is the worst...Delivery was very late.... paid almost $100 for 3 people plus few sides...Ordered online before 6pm... estimated time for food to be at my house is 6.45pm... didnt get it till 7.24pm waited outside almost an hour...Food was a little cold... and the worst part food was all over the place...Have photos of proof... but hope they get better than this cause its not on... 🤔🤔 not satisfied...

We ordered takeaway. One butter chicken had 3 pieces of chicken in it and the other had 5. Very little really and the sauce was bland. The Tikka masala tasted like something was burnt in it and was a very dark brown. The naan was very good. Order arrived cold which they said was uber. However they came straight from the restaurant to our house which is a 4 mins drive. They were quick to answer my message regarding this and offer a small butter chicken however I would not order again.

Once again beautiful food and awesome service.It was well and truly worth the trip across town will definitely be back for what would have to be the best Indian takeaways in Tauranga

I highly recommend this indian restaurant, from the the best naan bread we have ever hade to the delicious tandorii chicken with the cheap kids drinks and meals it made a nice family evening that I know all familys will love and best of all we got to watch the chef making the stuffed naan and placing it in the tandorrii oven then flicked it out all freshly made. 🙂

Visited this restaurant for the first time for dinner party & it was amazing. Food was very delicious specially the starters. Naan were exactly the same way as I always want (very crispy ). Overall I just loved your food and definitely I will visit this restaurant again very soon. Also I will recommend this restaurant to all.

Visited Royal Taste Indian Restaurant in Pyes Pa for lunch today, presentation and food were above average. The duty manager was friendly and informative and made us feel very comfortable in a unfamiliar environment. Our experience with Indian cuisine was truly enjoyable......loved the flavors, would definitely recommend this Restaurant.

Went for the first time to this restaurant last night and it was the best curry we have had for a long time. Good choice of menu. Friendly service and we didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommended.

Used to be Cardamom which was excellent went for lunch today and had the lunch special. Good to see the standard is maintained. Just $12 for rice and main plus naan bread and a soft drink. Excellent, I had mango chicken came away totally satisfied. Most definitely recommend

Wish we had an Indian restaurant like this near our home! We live in London and have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the city and the UK. This one ranks with the best of them. Awesome quality and very ample portions. Would be a regular if we lived here.
