I loved it. Being alone and moving around in nature is the best experience for me..I just loved it ..❤️❤️Check out the facts-👇Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Melbourne Gardens has been a treasured part of Melbourne’s cultural life for more than 170 years – much loved by generations of Victorians, as well as by many visitors from interstate and overseas. It is a picturesque haven for recreation and an important resource for education, conservation, science and horticulture. Melbourne Gardens extends over 38 hectares and houses a collection of more than 8,500 species of plants from around the world, including amazing and diverse plant collections such as camellias, rainforest flora, cacti and succulents, roses, herbs, perennials, cycads, plants from Southern China and, in the Rare and Threatened Species Collection, plants from south-eastern Australia.36-hectare botanic garden founded in 1846, planted with Australian species and non-native gardens.

If you go to the centre of the park, near the lake, its very quiet and serene. Here in Melbourne, its not easy to find somewhere quiet or to appreciate nature. If you want to go for a proper bush walk, you need to travel at least 800km to get away from the loud and dirty cars. Thankfully, we have the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Very large gardens only a shot walk from Melbourne CBD. The gardens is all connected via various paths with it moving through a variety of themes. Toilets and drinking fountains were spread out around the park and never felt too far away. Due to the sparse nature of the gardens it was hard to have one path to go and see all of the gardens. Some food stalls are in the park but only proper cafe was at visitor centre.

Absolutely beautiful. It has been the highlight of my trip to Melbourne. We caught the tram from the city and got off at the Shrine of Remembrance and had a short walk to the garden where we had a coffee before starting to explore. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the grounds were immaculate. My camera ran out of power and time absolutely flew. I will be going back tomorrow. Please enjoy some of my photos.

My first visit after completing my taper run for marathon on Sunday was out of this world. I met some lovely speedsters who were getting ready for their taper run. I also popped into the cafe and had a lovely vegan wrap and purchased some lovely gifts from the beautiful giftware shop for my family. Reading the fastest athletes times on the wooden poles was an added bonus.Bumping into Bailey the dog who gave me a kiss was an added bonus during my run.I’ll be back today to absorb the gardens

The Botanic Gardens in Melbourne is one of the most amazing gardens in the world. We spent the day here and wandered around only a small part of it. As someone born and raised in Melbourne, and having walked around our hundreds of times in my life, its still amazing and one will never get sick of looking around. Im sure you wont be disappointed when visiting the gardens and there are so many species of plants here its amazing.

A gorgeous slice of natural beauty right in the heart of Melbourne.Free to visit and explore to your hearts content. Magnificent views of the city to be found all throughout the gardens.Highlights are Fern Gully, Long Island and the Sensory garden.Whilst walking through the temperate rain forested Fern Gully it is hard to believe you are in the middle of Melbourne. One of my favourite places to walk and explore.

I went here for an event. I went here for lights cape. It was beautiful. Loved it so much. The venue has all the facilities. Got loads of food options and it was absolutely a dream to attend. I went to to earlier sessions to get some good photos and avoid the crowds. I hope it will come back again next year. It’s more stunning with its really dark and everything comes to life.

The lightscape at the Gardens was amazing. Loved all the lights and effects. Would have been good to have benches or seats along the way for older and less able-bodied people to take short breaks

LIGHTSCAPE at the Royal Botanical Gardens was amazing - the displays were breathtaking and vivid, with so much variety. The only drawback was that there were very few places to stop and rest along the way, which makes it difficult for someone with mobility issues to manage the whole thing. We could see the park benches but the paths were cordoned so we couldn’t access them during this event.

Amazing place for plant lovers. Diverse gardens with plenty of information about the plants. All the tracks have signs and it is pretty much flat, so no problems with prams or wheelchairs.

Love the Melbourne Botanical Gardens! Last night went to Lightscape Exhibition with friends and kids. Youngest a girl 9 and oldest a boy 15 and we all had a magnificent time. So many lovely photo opportunities and was fun to be walking around the gardens at night. So many people as it was the last day over the school holidays that was promising no rain 😍

I know that this is already a very popular tourist spot, but I still believe that it is understated on how amazing this park is. The gardens are really pristine and picturesque with a really amazing atmosphere. There were lots of people having picnics and many facilities to enjoy. Theres a kids garden and different themes of gardens. Definitely make this apart of your time if youre visiting melbourne. :)

Beautiful garden located right in the city among tall and highrise buildings. Perfect place to enjoy the sun with family and friends, to do some sport like jogging, or just walk around with nature all around. There is a cafe inside serving food and beverages. I highly recommended this place to be visited at least once 😊

Its easy to spend overtime than planned. Make sure to leave before the gate closes.Theres no announcement before closing. I got locked in, by the time, my phone was out of battery.Whoever was informing the park was closed was on a truck and went somewhere else right away, so it wasnt much a help.Plan accordingly with plenty of phone battery 🔋 Or go to another park across the road or near by like Alexandra park. Its still nice, yet you dont have to worry the closing time.

So peaceful in the middle of the city. Its strange but nice. Not many food options inside. But the walks are brilliant, even if youre someone whos not really into nature walks. When the weather is nice, you could spend hours here with a nice book. All thats missing is some good Melbourne coffee shops.

One of the best parks (if not the bestparks/garden which Melbourne have to offer. So much happens in this section as well including the tan where locals and tourists soak up in nature while exercising ( especially running). I thought I would have left a review for this garden by now😬. During different season and in different lawns etc they have art performances from live music to drama to circus. The plants they have is very unique and again have changing sections of them as exhibitions. One of the best spot to walk, picnic and soak up in greenery adjacent to Melbourne CBD!

Absolutely beautiful gardens and immaculately kept. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The man at the infecenter even remembered my name and said hi when he drove by in a buggy hours later. I went on a free tour with Jenny who has so much knowledge about the history of the gardens and plants of all kinds. She has such a lovely warm soul and this really contributed to the quality of the tour. Perfect for families to have a day out with friends and families. Plenty of space to social distance and get some sunshine too!!

This place is still a wonderland to me. Ive been here a few times and still find new places that Ive never come across.Family-friendly and you can enjoy a nice picnic. Its one of those places that I havent been to as much as I shouldve simply "because its in my own backyard" so to speak. On a nice, sunny day, this place would be great to walk your dog or just laze about on the grass reading your favourite book, while eating sundried tomatoes and cheese from QVM.Nothing short of a spectacular walk. Enjoy the ferns and the three rocks with the water fountain in the middle of them. Majestic.

Gorgeous place. Cleverly constructed, accommodating miles of secluded alleys and paths on a relatively small patch of land. Beautiful lakes and herbs garden. I December linden trees are blossoming and the whole place smells divine.Best visited closer to closing time after work. Not crowded, lots of birds feeling safer and behaving freely. If you have pollen allergies take precautions, too many exotic blossoms might cause you worries.

Peaceful walk through the gardens. Came on a Saturday afternoon - note places like the shrine of remembrance and visitor centre close at 5pm. Otherwise beautiful gardens, lot of picnickers, some areas like the Australian forest walk felt like you were being transported somewhere else. Very well maintained. Spent 3 hours walking around but even a short or long walk would be enjoyable. A lot of bathrooms, mostly paved paths and lots of places to sit in shade and enjoy the view.
