Patio de Banderas, s/n, 41004 Sevilla, Spain, Marbella
Landmark Moorish royal palace with fountain-filled gardens, ornate arches & 16th-century tiles.
Absolutely fantastic Palace. So much to see here. You could really spend hours just in the gardens. The Palace itself has so many different rooms and sections too. Also lots of lovely peacocks and ducks around, beautiful flowers and trees. Great value for less that €15 per person.
What a wonderful place to visit. We loved everything there.Tip: check for the tickets on time. Online you can find it on few websites. Advice would be to buy tickets day in advance. Dont get into the queue more than 15min in advance. You wont be allowed to get in before your booked time. You will find many people with "INFO" t-shirts, just ask them if you have any questions...
A beautiful royal palace in the heart of Seville. There are so many gardens and rooms to explore, so be ready to spend a couple hours if you want to see everything.I went on a guided tour with Feel The City, which I think is a good way to learn more about the history of the palace (and skip the queue. I went on a Saturday and it was very busy). Some of the exhibits have explanations in English, but not everything does.
Beautiful old palaces and gardens! We went with a tour guide who was incredibly knowledgeable about all the history. There’s a hydraulic organ (1 of 4 in the world!in the garden. Make sure you stand near it on the hour to hear the song.
If you do just one thing whilst visiting Seville it simply MUST be a tour of the Royal Alcazar with a good guide. Essential to book up and avoid the often lengthy queues. Amazing history, truly stunning and also over seven hectares of beautiful gardens.
Beautiful with lots to see inside. The queues were horrific so i recommend getting tickets before if you can. Too many tourists. Also dont follow google maps for the entrance. You need to enter from the side of the cathedral
Must visit if u came Seville.Really stunning place. Im so enjoy to looking all the building.Join a tour will make u know more about the history. I will recommend to join a tour. But even u doesnt want to, still good place to visit.Big garden which can sit inside. They have peacock in the Garden as well. Please buy tickets online to prevent a long queue.
Went on a Monday evening at 6.30pm. The architecture is pretty interesting to see. Recommend you leave at least 2 hours to see the entire place end to end. It’s not that big but there are some interesting rooms to see. There is also a huge outdoor space that’s really nice to visit and take in
Absolutely breathtaking. How is it possible?! I cant wrap my head around it. I highly recommend hiring a private tour guide. I got way, more out of it than I would with any audio guide. Some tour guides are licensed, and I recommend those. Our tour took about three to four hours.
Beautiful Architecture and art work through out is something else. Everything is decorated throughout. Loads of photo opportunities. Thorough security checks before entering with a body metal detector and bag x-ray machine. The only negative point I have to add is it is not clear where to get tickets as the ticket office is not at the entrance point and the maps throughout don’t tell you where you are which would be handy as the place is huge. Definitely a must see attraction if you come to Sevilla. Reasonable priced. Get your camera ready! And get ready look up.
Love this beautiful monument!Make sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid the long qeue however no need to buy the skip the line tickets, the line moves fast. Get your free audio guide with a qr code, however the people offering guide tours are also very competent - some of the free audio guide is nonessential
Stunning!! I would go in the middle of the day if you can handle the heat. Less crowded. Bring water , snacks to enjoy the gardens. Spent 3 hrs there. Entrance was about 12-14 euro
Wow the architecture is beautiful! Tiles are so colourful! And the grounds just go on and on and on. Be sure to prepare a few hours to get through this palace. We were there for over 2 hrs and didnt cover all the gardens. Its a very beautiful attraction and must see! Also cant forget Game of Thrones!
The historic Center of Seville has lots to offer including the Seville Cathedral and the Royal Alcazar. The latter is a great place to spend a couple of hours enjoying the architecture and beauty of ancient Seville. There is usually a queue to get the tickets but it is worth the effort. The place is huge and has a number of areas including a few gardens. The only drawback of the place are the lack of proper directions - some of the rooms have multiple exits which lead to different places and as a result one tends to miss areas.
Tip: avoid the long lines and buy your tickets online ;)Beautiful place, well worth the money. Stunning architecture and amazing gardens with many peacocks! You can walk or just sit in the gardens reading a nice book. The only thing missing is some water fountains, as the only place to buy water is a bit expensive.
Obviously a must if youre visiting Sevilla! The magnificence of the architecture as well as the beauty of the different gardens will sure transport you! I advise you to take your tickets just before going in order to avoid the queue. You can count 2h30-3h to visit it completely. Anyways, it was my favorite activity to do in Sevilla!
Amazingly gorgeous palace with the most beautiful ceramic patterns I have personally ever seen. It is absolutely a must-see in Sevilla, for both its interior and gardens which are filled with beautiful architecture, various birds and flowery bushes and trees. The visit is free on Mondays after 6pm but it is only open until 7:45. For us, this was sufficient, but if you really like to take your time to look at everything, you may want to go earlier. Absolutely recommend for anyone visiting Sevilla!
If you want some culture to take in, well worth a visit. Moorish and Catholic religion all combined into one. Very popular tourist attraction. The architecture is amazing and the gardens even more so. Highly recommend to visit
Stunning. The Alcázar is a marvellous royal palace in the middle of Sevilla. The architecture is amazing and recall the Arabian style. There’s also a outstanding garden rich of plants and birds. The visit lasts at least 2 hours and there’s a free audioguide (you can find a qr code at the entrancethat guide you through the main area of the palace.
Beautiful. Old Islamic architecture has so much attention to the finer details. It is absolutely stunning. We visited in July. It was too hot, temperatures were 49°C plus. We were not able to see all the gardens due to it being so hot. Would not recommend visiting in the summer months.Plan on spending at least 3-4 hours just to look around. More if you would like to relax and appreciate the palace and gardens.
Gorgeous venue, audio-guide are free (remember to scan the QR code at the entrance to enjoy it!and the place itself if well maintained. I definitely recommend visiting it if you pass by Sevilla.
This place is absolutely amazing!! Dont miss this when you visit Seville. Make sure to wear your best clothes and bring a fully charged camera/phone because every room and courtyard youll want to take pictures. We spent almost 4 hours here. Before you enter you can scan a QR code for a free audiotour. This makes the visit even more fun since you get a sense of all the history and tradition. Tip: bring your own earphones so you can better listen to the audio. The royal bedroom tickets you have to reserve weeks in advance so make sure to do that.
Wow! What a great palace, all the walls and the ceilings are having different types of decorations, symbols and colors. Very impressive right from the first room. But the one quite beautiful is the Hall of Ambassadors, which have paintings, on the walls, of the monarchs that ruled in Spain with info about their time on stay on the throne. Superb!
A very beautiful palace to visit in Seville. When you walk inside the palace, you can directly feel the mediterranean style found on the accents of its interior. It was indeed a very nice palace. It is also known to be one of the places where "Game of Thrones" was filmed. The palace has a very big garden area where you can spend a lot of time - it is very beautiful. I recommend you to buy tickets online. This is a must visit place if you are travelling to Seville.
We bought tickets for right when they opened at 0930. We showed up at 0930 and had to wait in a long line, though it moved rapidly and took 15-20 minutes to get inside. The Palace itself is gorgeous inside, though only some of it is open for general viewing. The gardens are quite extensive and you could probably spend an hour or two just in them. The famous courtyard (where a scene from Kingdom of Heaven was filmedlives up to expectations. Overall its a fairly chill experience with some pretty sights.
My gosh, we were absolutely awestruck by this place. Its a feast for the eyes and the imagination, with all of the colour, detail and design to please even the most casual visitor (as opposed to a seasoned historian or architecture buff). Yes, its #1 of places to visit in Sevilla and it lives up to that ranking. Book your tickets online...its easy, affordable (shockingly so, given how spectacular this place is compared to other historical or tourist attractions Ive visited), and definitely saves you time because there WILL be a queue when you get there. To get the most from your experience, give yourself half a day, wear comfortable shoes and prepare to be amazed. If youre into taking pictures, this is one of the best places. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, as there is so much vibrant colour, intricate detailing, stunning architecture and signs of the strong Moorish influence on this city. We didnt pay for the audio tour or to have a guide, but if thats your thing then both options are available. Its easy enough to wander around on your own, but Im sure that the tours provide lots of information about the history of this spectacular site. Dont think twice about visiting, its an absolute MUST!
I would recommend booking tickets online a few days ahead! I was able to skip a very large line because I got them a few days prior. I would recommend going early in the morning because the heat makes it hard to discover the wonderful and large garden and you really dont want to miss it. I had a very nice visit and loved the beautiful architecture!!!
Beautiful Royal Palace! The influence of the Arab culture is nicely visible throughout the palace. We walked around for about 2 hours and it was well worth the €14.We bought our tickets online, so we didn’t need to wait. Came 20min to early but we were granted access.Audio guides, and real guides are available if you would like that.Overall a lovely visit to this monument.
Also and absolute must when in Sevilla. We took a guided tour as well and so glad we did. You can spend hours marveling the beautiful grounds and palaces. It’s amazing how well maintained the grounds and each and every room are. It’s nice to have the tour because you get to understand the history. Really fun experience and unique.
Very beautiful place to visit. Here I feel that I was traveling on the time. This place have deep history. The price of the ticket: 13,50€ is nothing for the hours of pleasure that I get here! Is wonderful and I think everyone who visited Sevilla should come to this place
Amazing way to spend a day in Sevilla. The grounds are well kept, the building stunning history and the crowds kept a manageable levels. For me, the gardens were the most spectacular, accompanied by peacocks, ducks and fish.I’d allow yourself a few hours here, not least just to sit in the extensive gardens in the shade and explore the full extent of them. We’d purchased tickets online, didn’t need to queue and were able to enter 5 minutes before our assigned time so no need to wait the full wait time.
Incredibly beautiful, make sure to take at least 2 hours here, but preferably 3+. Buy the tickets online, and when you get there you can download a free audio guide. Make sure to spend some time exploring the gardens too
A magnificent place right next to the Cathedral! Free audio tour in 6-7 different languages (no Hungarian though 🙄 🤷♂️), very informative and detailed stories about every corner of this "little hacienda" 🤭The interior was nice and cool even with the 40° outside. Got my ticket in advance but still had to queue up which did not take long but was a bit annoying. The there are ao many gardens and they are huge with friendly ducks, ducklings and peacock families roaming around the place, taking an occasional dip in the fountains. 🦆It is a must see and definitely worth a visit!
Fantastic Islamic architecture envelopes your senses from the beginning to the end. buy your tickets in advance to avoid queueing. The price per adult is ~14EUR. Theres a free audio guided tour by scanning the QR codes at the entrance.Dont miss having a brief about the place history. The ceilings, walls and floors are decorated in the most beautiful design.Sitting in the gardens and enjoying the serenity is a must do and adds a very nice touch to the visit. There are some ducks and peacocks roaming around the place which were adding a lot of fun to the kids in the place.
Such a spectacular site, the architecture in the San Pedro Palace was amazing and completely different from anything Ive seen before in Europe. The gardens were beautiful, and so big that they felt peaceful and quiet even with all the visitors. Particularly loved the sound of running water everywhere.
Wow wow wow.Very beautiful but one thing i would recommend that you should buy tickets in advance like 3 week before if you want to visit all royal rooms. I got only general ticket because all royal room ticket was booked for 3 weeks already.I do like the gardens. There was a lot of gardens. You should spare 2 to 3 hours to see all tha palace.
This is a must see and plan on 3 hours minimum to see castle and gardens. So many beautiful rooms and courtyards. It’s in such excellent condition and historically rich and spacious.
Definitely purchase the tickets online, if possible a day before, to be able to choose a preferred time for your visit. We went to the ticket office at noon, a 20-minutes wait under the sun and the earliest available hour was at 3:30 pm. But the place is absolutely worth everything, wonderful gardens and also great buildings. You can expect to spend at least 2 hours inside and it would be a good idea to prepare some snacks and a couple of beers ;)
Beautiful architecture, historical gem with a very relaxed atmosphere, dont miss this - must visit! On a nice sunny day this takes you back in time to the gorgeous well kept grounds and gardens where royalty used to hang out. Booking online is recommended and you can turn up approx 20mins before your time slot. The photos only show half the story, the close up intricate details are often missed if you dont pay attention, look up, down around, everywhere! Peacocks roam the gardens and come up to you for food. Spend time sitting in various places just enjoying the atmosphere!
Absolutly wonderful! If you tend to take your time and go slow (like meplan on this visit being at least a solid 2 hours of your day. Everything is SO beautiful it is amazing. I didnt get the ticket that includes the royal rooms because those get booked up in advance, but dont worry if you cant either, the general ticket is so worth it as well. Dont miss this on your trip to Sevilla!!
Mindblowing beauty!! The palace has some of the most ornate and beautiful work in the entire world. It is unbelievable. The gardens are very peaceful and pleasant. It needs several hours to see everything.
Amazing way to spend a day in Sevilla. The grounds are well kept, the history as rich as it gets and even the crowds seemed tolerable. The gardens were occupied with peacocks and other small animals and the ponds were filled with fish and ducks. Overall a nice refreshing visit to Ottoman influenced architecture while in Spain.Tickets were available to purchase when we arrived. Our time to visit was just 40 minutes away so a walk around the church grounds was sufficient before lining up. We were able to enter 15 minutes before our assigned time so no need to wait the full wait time.
We went on a bright sunny morning, it was absolutely beautiful. We walked through the gardens and enjoyed the views of the palace. We did not have a guided tour but were still able to appreciate the merge between eastern and western artistic influences.A must see if in Seville.
A very beautiful palace to visit in Seville. When you walk inside the palace, you can directly feel the mediterranean style found on the accents of its interior. It was indeed a very nice palace. It is also known to be one of the places where the TV Show "Game of Thrones" was filmed. This palace has a very big garden area, and it is very very beautiful. We went here during the winter holidays, and we queued for around 15 minutes to enter this place. Outside this palace, you can still enjoy a very beautiful architecture, and you can have a ride on the horse carriage if you do have the extra budget. A must visit place if you are travelling to Seville.
Bought tickets on line but very quiet the day I visited, so was able to walk straight in. Some stunning architecture; dont forget to look up and check out the beautifully ornate ceilings! One of the highlights for me was walking around the gardens. Free entry, but not until after 4pm, on a Monday; may try next time, but for a first visit, give yourself plenty of time to wander around leisurely. (I was there for nearly 4 hours - recommend you take drinks and snacks, to sit and enjoy in the gardens).
It’s an absolutely breathtaking place. You can’t stop falling in love with all lines an ornaments. Take some time to enjoy the park (better take some snacks with you). Also, I advise to book your ticket online instead of wasting hours in the queue to the ticket office.
Lovely beautiful historic palace and grounds. The gardens are fantastic, very disappointed that the well reviewed maze was closed due to Covid. The gardens were exquisite, really good back drop for photos and really relaxing environment for a pleasant and calming visit.Absolutely lovely tile exhibit
Truly stunning. Could spend a long time in this place admiring the architecture and beautiful gardens. Try to visit on a Monday when tickets are free after 4pm. You have to book the tickets online and pay €1 admin fee. Would appreciate more written information but probably may have got this from the audioguide.
Beautiful place at the city center with many rooms and gardens from different times in history. Even game of thrones was filmed here!! We really enjoyed our day and we found it more interesting than Alhambra... although it didnt have the view like in Granada. We got the audio guide but barely used it as there were signs for each room which were quicker to read than listen to the audio. I recommend taking one per family. We ordered tickets online but still had to wait in line to go in, so add a waiting time to your visit.
Im always unsure whether it is worth to spend €13,50 for visiting such places (in the quiet season you can by a ticket near the exit, not just onlineand after visiting I still doubt whether it is worth it.It certainly is a nice place, and some of the architecture is nice, but I was somewhat disappointed about both the interieur and the garden. There are certainly way better palaces and gardens to visit (not in Sevilla though).
