Royal in Luzern

Hotel Fantastico con panorama mozzafiato sul lago di Lucerna, grande Holl accogliente con terrazza fronte lago, camere molto belle e molto pulite, Personale molto molto cordiale gestito da una famiglia.. davvero gentile. Per me il miglior hotel di Lucerna!

Beautiful views and comfortable room. A short walk from the centre of town but nice and quiet. Had an amazing stay and cant wait to come back.

Lovely family owned hotel friendly people. Good breakfast . No evening meals .

This gorgeous Hotel Royal Luzern (Lucernehas pver 100 year history and character. The family run staff are hands on and very pleasant catering to detail. The unobstructed view of the mountains and lake Lucerne with the boats are amazing to watch throughout the day from our corner suite on the 4th floor. Thank you Mark, Geizel & Mo for a very warm welcome and pleasant stay.

I just love Lucerne. 4 last times out of my 5 visits to this amazing city; I stayed in Royal. Do I need to say more about Royal? 😃 great location, amazing view of the lake, the friendliest most professional staff and the best and coziest breakfast 😋 One can not ask for more. The rooms are spacious, simple and comfortable. the halls in the ground floor and the balcony are so beautifully designed and decorated. I hope I can go in the summer of 2019.

Stayed on 2019.08.10. Part of cycling tour:+ Very large room for bikes for which my access was supervised then locked+ Staff very friendly and helpful - faultless+ Breakfast was included in price when booking directly - bizarre that this is treated wasnt mentioned until Id virtually finished my online booking. It was great+ Close to town centre, elevated so that terrace has great view over the lake for drinks? My (cheapestroom was a little dated, but clean- My room didnt have air-conditioningDeducted 5th star as Swiss hotels seem expensive. Probably unfair to expect modern decor when it was almost the cheapest place I found.

Gute Lage

No AC, no fan, no iron, no refrigerators even the weather is hot!!!We have to open the door to get sleep with noisy on road but we can’t turn on any lights because mosquitoes flying into room!The viewing is good

Satisfying experience:- Clean room, particularly the bathroom , it looked like it’s been furnished recently- Basic toiletries provided (shower gel,soap.. no toothbrush)- Great Lake view- Breakfast: Different kinds of bread, yogurt, veggies, cut cuts (ham), cheese, and order scramble egg, great compared to Swiss standardAbout the location:-Need to take a 5mins bus ride from general station, or can walk across the bridge-only problem: it’s located up the slope but very stairs

Das Hotel Royal ist ein Hotel, was in Luzern am Berg liegt und wo man einen schönen Blick über den See hat. Auf der Terrasse kann man sitzen und zum See schauen. Das Hotel selbst ist wirklich urig, der Eingangsbereich großzügig und klassisch stilvoll und hat richtig Potential. Die Zimmer sind dagegen leider etwas karg, aber sauber und zweckmäßig, die Bäder recht neu. Man könnte vermuten, die Zimmer wären mal in den 80ern renoviert worden mit abgehängten Decken, damit man den Stuck nicht mehr sieht. Wenn man den Eingangsbereich des Hotels sieht, weiß man, was man in den Zimmern für ein Potential schlummern könnte. Dann natürlich zu ganz anderen Luzerner/Schweizer Preisen. Das Personal war superfreundlich und ich habe dort wirklich gerne gewohnt. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Es gab in meinem Zimmer keine Klimaanlage.

I believe Royal is a boutique Hotel thats family run. Im not sure if the entire front office support belongs to this family, but I can vouch for the fact that ALL of them are very nice, courteous and helpful!The best thing about the Hotel is the view from the front side rooms, an excellent Lake View! Yes, the Hotel is located at a height and overlooks the Lake! Since its a small boutique hotel, theres no rush of tourists and the Hotel is very peaceful indeed!One negative mark, none of the Rooms have an a/c or even a fan. Since Lucern does get very hot in summer, this can really make things uncomfortable in the room, specially in the afternoons so ometime! But then this is true for the entire city, I was told.On the whole, I would recommend this hotel to everyone

Felt like I slept on a cloud last night, beautiful soft bed, luxurious down doona and pillows, with a view looking out over the lake... wonderful. Staff here are so professional and helpful. The man at reception yesterday took time to thoroughly explain how to get around Lucerne, buses, etc., Helped us with hot water so that we could enjoy cups of tea in our room. The dinning room staff, are so efficient, polite and enthusiastic. They seem to genuinely want to give us a good experience, which is fantastic. Walking distance to the lake and a short 15min walk to the center of Lucerne along the lake, which is well worth it.

A good hotel in its category. The rooms are big as per the European standards and the hotel is not very far from the center. The bus stop is hardly 150 m from the hotel but do keep in mind that there is a very steep climb when walking towards the hotel. The hotel is family owned and they happen to be very nice people.

Stayed here for one night as part of a tour group. It was beautiful and cosy. It is an old style hotel so it isnt flashy and modern but it is very clean. We had dinner and breakfast there too which was lovely. Dinner included beans, rice and a chicken stew. Breakfast was a buffet of ham, cheese, croissants, cereal, fruit and a variety of bread. Beds had doonas, was warm, our room opened up with a balcony and view of the lake. Pillow was a bit flat. Room had enough space for two people. The people who worked there were lovely as it is a family owned hotel. You can easily walk to the town centre in 15 mins.
