Burgers & other fast-food options at a regional chain named after a legendary American cowboy actor.
This is one of the cleanest RR but the worst when it comes to food qaulity and taste. The pancakes had a sour taste and the French toast sticks are over cooked and they dont put the powdered sugar on them like its supposed to so when you ask about they tell you a lie so they dont have to do it. Dont ever go to this location and yes my issues here have been on more 3 occasions so at this point its who they are.
I wanted my chicken fresh but felt bad because there was only 1 cook to service everyone so I had to settle for the precooked chicken so she wouldnt get behind which was my choice butMgmt should staff schedule a little less tight as this shift was
Food is good, never really busy, always clean.
How do you not have chicken 45 minutes before you close? you have the entire places cleaned up and ready to close early but no chicken? come on yall do better.
As usual, their burgers and roast beef were so overdone that we couldn’t eat them. Threw the whole order in the trash.
Excellent food and service. Good value for the money.
Today marks a sad day for big boy Rogers. Roy Rogers used to be one of the few last bastions of fast food.Everytime I went there, it was like going to Mecca.I used to give it a 5 star review. Now, I must reluctantly give it a 4 star rating. They have increased there price, which wouldnt be an issue if they havent also reduce the food proportion.I ask everyone to read this message to join me in prayer to the big RR in the sky to help fight this American recession. It looks like now I have to start eating healthy.
A nice Roys at Aspen Hill. Food fresh ... fixing bar crisp and fresh...chicken fresh up was good....I downloaded the new Roy Roger app.amd got 5 comp food for downloading their New app.
Great service clean place ....love the gold rush chicken sandwich along with a strawberry shortcake😋👍
Why is the fixing bar empty and all cleaned up by 815 if they close at 9. Also no chicken after 8.
As I drove up, I was on the phone (Bluetooth of course). As I sat there on my call, I observed many people walking in. I remember thinking "great, now Im going to have a wait". To my surprise, there was no line and my food was ready before I could fill my drink and my fixins cup.
Customer Service is great. The food is not all that.
Bought 2 lg roast beef sandwiches the other day and they were perfectly thin sliced, juicy and de-licious. Ill be back tomorrow. YUM
Use to get fresh chicken all the time here but their quality has gone down a bit, last time i went with my mother she got old dry chicken and yes they gave a new batch and switched out the old but still wasnt that fresh, we left and for the first time didnt get a strawberry short cake😔 sorry roy rodgers you have s special place in my heart but just had to let someone know.
The spicy chicken sandwich, although not really spicy, was great
Love the menu. Great garden salad that looks smaller than it is. But they get something wrong when its delivered. So bummed out right now.
Darn, they were out of roast beef in the late afternoon, but their chicken and burgers are pretty good
Went in for coffee. They don’t have coffee in the afternoon. They also didn’t me in the afternoon. Went to Dunkin’ next door at 13874 Georgia Ave., where they always have coffee and breakfast.
If youre nostalgic for public school lunch hamburgers. Roy Rogers is the place to be. Taco bell is in the same shopping center, and waaaaaay better.
Always excellent customer service when we come there. Great staff, well trained!
The roast beef is always tough and well done. I always ask for medium rare and juicy, they try but they cant seem to get it right. I suppose the tempture of the au jus is too hot.
Roys offers a break from the static menu offered elsewhere. Chipped beef, strawberry shortcake are just two items found nowhere else in the world of fast food
You really cant go wrong with Ole Roy when you eat in you can fix your burger with all the dressings you want at the amount that you want.
Chicken is one of my Favorite things to eat. For one you know what your eating lol...But this is a Fav place to get tasty, delicious chicken and biscuits are everything SERIOUSLY...
For fast food Roy Rogers is 1 of the best. Love the sourdough ham egg & cheese breakfast sandwich!Lunch roast beef, double R burger, fried chicken is excellent too. And dont forget they still have the Ham and cheese sandwich 😋. Not on menu but ask and you will receive 😉.
Going here brings back memories. It used to be my favorite fast food place before they closed alot of them. The service was good the food like I used to remember!!
When I decided to visit I go after 5. Chicken is always fresh..employees are always friendly...place is clean. If you get a chance check them out you wont be disappointed..😊
Consistently make the Double R Bar burger perfectly! Fries were average this time, but service was fast and friendly. Ill eat here again.
It was nostalgic for me I remember eating this place as a kid and it didnt disappoint. They had all the classics like the double r burger and even some new item like the chicken sandwich but all in all great place.
Always a fantastic meal from this Roy Rogers. Thankful that they came into the area a few years ago. Roy Rogers was my childhood till McDonalds ran them out of the area in the 90s. So glad to have this one back. Double R Bar is the best burger out there.
Stopped in there for breakfast on impulse. We got the cream chip beef. I though it was salty my mom thought it tasted like they added too much sugar. Their home fries are good.
Ordered Roys Fried Chicken and a Strawberry Milk Shake, started drinking my shake and Its Tasted like pure Milk!!! I allowed the Supervisor(Hispanic young lady in her early twenties)of this , and if possible to have another one made, she was very unprofessional, unfriendly, loud, Nasty, disrespectful unempathic, I worked at Roy Rogers for over 12 years as part of the Management Team some time ago, so I am quite aware with the knowledge of how a milk shake should taste like, My senior friends and I promises to NEVER venture there again. And thats a Promise!!!!!
Im not sure what happened. I usually have a good experience but my last visit there I ordered a cheeseburger meal and after two bites I could tell burger was pink and totally under cooked I ended throwing away my sandwich.
Service was awful, my burger was dry and just barely warm. The French fries were mixed half old and cold and half freshly cooked. Very disappointed I remember the Roy Rogers from the 80s. When the food was good.
As always, we had a great experience with the Aspen Hill Roy Rogers. Rahim was quick & friendly and the young lady (who I believe is the managerwas wonderful as well. We ordered a burger meal and chicken. Both meals were hot, came out quickly and very tasty. This location is not super close to us, but we make the drive for the service and the great fried chicken!
Decent fast food, that almost makes you forget its fast food. People who work here, have always been pleasant and helpful for several years for me. One of the very few fast food businesses, that have stayed consistent with their quality of products, and staff. Almost makes me forget that Marriot no longer runs the show.
The young lady behind the counter should maybe consider another job. She made me feel as though I was bothering her. Not the right personality for working with the public. I suppose she could have been having a bad day, but I doubt Ill be returning to this location.
The woman serving me was polite, and this review isnt on her, but I was rattled that an order of tenders and 2 fries was 20 bucks. I left the place. Not sure if covid was the reason for high prices, but I cant recall things being so expensive there
Service was superb at this location! Friendly, kind, knowledgeable staff. Order was ready within one minute and chicken was hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned -- as can be expected at any Roy Rogers. Clean and pleasant dining room.Only complaint: unlike at the Virginia locations Ive been to recently, this Roys did not have a paper towel dispenser in the restroom and had no foot-pull to open the door without using hands. I am skeptical of food service places that dont have paper towels in the restroom because that means the employees are pretty certainly touching the door handles upon exit, immediately dirtying their hands.(Why this matters: Because there are always some people who dont wash their hands, bathroom door handles have mad germs on them. Theres even a sign in the restroom showing that you should turn off the faucet with a paper towel -- the faucet is automatic, so this is not an issue, though the sign is right that that would be the clean way to turn off a handle-operated faucet -- yet ignores that people will then be touching a germy door handle with their just-cleaned hands.)There are paper towels above the sink in the food service area, so hopefully employees are washing their hands at that sink every time they re-enter the food service area. But if there were paper towels in the restroom as well, or a no-touch way to open the door, thatd be better. Thanks!
Staff in front were great 9/4/19 @ 5:30pm but whoever is in charge of the cooking is lucky to even receive a 1 star rating. The food tasted old and semi spoiled especially the new bake potato. Roughly 4th time realizing food quality has gone down in the evening time. Hope they fix this because it will soon be another CLOSED Roy Rogers
Ehh not entirely impressed with the menu, I’ve heard their chick is suppose to be good. But the prices, this is still fast food but they’ve got restaurant style prices. The interior is very outdated and gives off retirement vibes. Overall not in the top 10 of chicken places.
Friendly staff as usual. Had to wait a little longer this time, but I think it was because they were short staffed and they were also transitioning from breakfast to lunch.I witnessed an employee coming back apparently from an extended absence. I watched how everybody hugged her and welcomed her back. I like to see that type of camaraderie at a worm place. It makes for an easier and friendlier staff.I will continue to some here.
Bread on roast beef sandwich was soggy. The whole thing just fell apart, but the flavor was good. Nice service staff but keep the water off those floors in front of the soda fountain, folks!
Just thought the food was OK. I had the Gold Rush chicken sandwich, and while the sauce and bacon were good, the chicken patty had a distinctly school cafeteria texture to it. My kids thought the burgers were just OK, too. Im from the South, so thought it would be very close to or exactly like Hardees. Definitely not. I might go again, but probably not. Would much rather go to Jerrys subs down the street, or look around for a Wendys.
Stopped for a fried chicken and milkshake fix. I was late, only 2 staff, but the guys were terrific, very nice and quick to get my order together. The chicken, even though it was late at night, was tasty, like fresh from the fryer tasty. The milkshake was good - Edys ice cream and real milk - but not as good as it should have been. But thats a tiny complaint. Meanwhile, the guy who took my order rang it up in such a way that I got a meal deal instead of paying per piece, which was so nice of him. Theyre about a mile away from me. This is my new permanent late-night foodie fix spot.
I was in a rough spot. I needed some good chicken and they were about to close. They stayed late and made me some fresh hot fried chicken and made my pregnant wife so happy that night and came through in the clutch. I will do nothing but sing the praises of this Roy Rogers location.
Super clean and friendly. The chicken skin is nice and crispy but the meat could be more moist
Clean and food is OK. The problem is about an hour before they close they will not make anymore food. Once I wanted a roast beef sandwich and was told no. Another time I wanted white meat fried chicken and was told no. Both times I had already paid and was waiting before they informed me they didnt have any cooked and wouldnt make anymore. Also they let their frys sit to long.
Excellent service and clean dining room.We enjoyed the Double R burger and Roast Beef. Very tasty! We shall return and often! The Team on Jan 10th were concise and worked well together!
Its pretty good, but on each visit the fried chicken was a little dry, like it had been sitting too long in the heated cabinet after cooking. Still, burgers and fries are fresh and tasty and the premises are bright, clean, and spacious. Ample parking.
