Bahnhofstrasse 7, 6003 Luzern, Switzerland, Luzern
Pizzas, pastas & other Italian specialties in a traditional eatery by Lucerne's wooden footbridge.
Tomato soup is too good !Pizzas are averageService is good
Disgusting service. Pizza been laying on top of the table without being served to us with flies on top of it. And then they expect us to eat it.Ah, also they took 30 minutes to get our order.
Average restaurant.. nothing special..
Good pizza, nice environment. In a center on lucern
Yummy pizza, pasta and alio olio we had there
Pretty good, but service was slow and confused.
If there was a 0 star rating, I would have given this place that. Made the mistake not to check online before settling down here..1. Service: Arrogant, slow and just simply not bothered. Sat us down and didnt give us the menu even after quite awhile, i eventually just went to take it myself. Fine no issue. When we wanted to order, the waiter said he didnt understand English and would call his colleague, again no issue but he didnt and we had to ask again. Ask for a spare plate for my kid to eat his pizza, agreed but again never came. The same waiter we asked for our bill, 15mins later it never came and he forgot. Service 0/5.Food: Had 2 kinds of pasta and a pizza. Im not an Italian but that was the worst pasta my wife n myself have sver eaten. It was totally tasteless. Pizza was decent but not fantastic. Pre-meal bread served was cold to the touch. Food 0/5Do yourself a favor, save your money or spent it elsewhere much more deserving of your money
Bad service the waiters keep ignoring us, avoid.
Horrible service, took too long for waiter to come to our table. They ignored us when we called for them. It’s a tourist trap restaurant. Don’t recommend. 👎🏼
They didnt let us sit to drink 3 coffees as we were a group of 4 people! There were many free tables inside! But still they refused to accept us and we had to leave! So disrespectful!
The restraunt is in a prime locationI expected the food and service to be decent but it’s lower than average . I have visited Luzern for the 7th time and every time I used to go to the restraunts at the other end . This time I wanted to give a chance to this side and it failed miserably .My son loves soups and he was disappointed with the simplest of the tomato soups .Pizza was too salty ah but it was spicy to my request . Pasta was average but dad loved his beer.Service is too slow … guess ppl are either overworked or they forgot the usual grind after corona but I wudnt give it another chance unless u r famished and can’t walk a bit to the other edge to some decent hospitalityMy star goes to the location in my favourite city Luzern
Should had read the reviews before we visited Rossini. We came here for a late lunch. We sat outside which might be a mistake to begin with as we were surrounded by people smoking.Firstly the doughs breads arrived. They were tasty and hot. Then our spaghetti arrived. My wifes aubergine spaghetti was average but my spaghetti bolognese was a disaster. The minced beef were smelly & rotten, the sauce was too waterly, and the tomatoes were chopped so big!! I hate spaghetti bolognese with tomatoes not minced or pasted but chopped in pieces. I basically couldnt eat it.We had 4 Italian meals in Switzerland and this one was the far worst we had.I give 2 stars but not 1, due to its staffs were very patient. Despite I didnt make a complaint, they knew I hate food but still remained professional and being as helpful as they could, when I struggled starring at my spaghetti throughout my meal.
Nice place, but service is so so…
Staff is racist and very rude, they send Indians away to accommodate Europeans, so if you want to be humiliated this the place to meet racist hotel staff. They told us to go away since they want Europeans to sit in their restaurant.
The manager told us they do not allow people sitting on the table to share food with each other. Every person sitting at the table has to order at least one drink and one food item of their own to eat and not share amongst themselves.
Expensive, poor service and pathetic food
You order chicken and you get fish pasta. So be careful to check what you order is what you get.
This restaurant is really not worth it. The service was poor and you could really tell that they dont care about the clients, since they are mostly tourists and most likely won’t ever be coming back. The food was good enough. It’s a pity I can’t say the same about the staff. As we came in they didn’t even bother to give us a table and had the least enthusiastic looks on their faces. Please don’t waste your time and patience.
We were in Luzern for 5 days in late February. We went for dinner two days back to back. The restaurant is located near the water which is beautiful. The food are delicious. The service was excellent with our experience.
Delicious food and great service! A gem and will definitely return!
The view of the river is nice, the food was pretty good, and we didn’t have any issues with the service some people seem to have. We had pizza and an appetizer and it was pretty good.
The restaurant is located near the water which is beautiful. The food is not too bad but the salad could be presented in a more appealing way. The pizza and the pasta was great, but the service was absolutely terrible. It was my birthday on that day and I made it very clear when I reserved a table. They had nothing organised, so my Mum asked them to prepare a nice dessert for me. They prepared something, but they served it to the wrong person (my cousin sitting next to me), although my Mum made it very clear who has the birthday, (it was me, not my cousin). Over all very impolite and nervous waiters, they dripped the wine down on our clothes while pouring it into our glasses. I would not recommend anyone to go and eat in this restaurant. The Italian charm is not there and I felt very uncomfortable. Not recommended.
Very bad service. Food nothing special. I definitely dont advise you to waste your time/money at this restaurant.
The food was great, the customer service was a little slow but in general the experience was very good.
We ordered a pizza and some drinks. Food was good, but expensive. I would put this closer to $$$.
After tiring day I really like the restaurants we ordered pizza pasta and gnocchi ...and we really liked it
Really liked the outside seating area, the waitress was friendly and nice. Food came out pretty fast and was quite delicious. We ordered the pizza, saffron rissotto & mozzerella salad. All were amazing, highly recommend
I won’t recommend this restaurant to you. In case you‘re planning to have a pizza here, expect to get your order one year later. The pizza was okay. Nothing special!
Nice food specially the pizza, and they have a good location near the river.
A typical tourist restaurant. Low quality cheap ingredients. Menu said prosciutto and funghi and came out cheap cooked ham and raw champignon. Cant get any cheaper quality products I bet. Pizza cheese was low quality and cheap, the type that makes you feel sick after you eat it. I picture they just want a low food cost and dont care about finding better ingredients. Typical around the tourist areas in Switzerland. There is incredible pizza and Italian food outside the tourist center FYI.
We have eaten a very tasty pizza, fresh salad and an amazing Panna Cotta. Well done..
Waiter brought the wrong food and forgot our drinks. Manager refused to take back my girlfriends dish - which they had already brought in - we had to waite 20 minutes for my pizza to arrive. My girlfriends dish was too cold to eat by then. No meaningful apology offered. The worst customer service Ive ever seen in Switzerland. Stay away.
Great location near the water. The food is good and delicious. The service could be improved, I sat outside the restaurant and I waited for too long. Dont sit outside if you want to well served. It is bit expensive!
So, I’m not mad, but I certainly want to make sure you don’t go here if you want Italian Food or good service.1. The appetizer came with the meal, and they claimed that’s how it was stated.2. One of us ordered a Margherita Pizza but got what looked and tasted like a plain cheese pizza (should’ve taken a pic of that, but I didn’t know then that I would take the time to write a review about this place). They claimed that’s a Margherita pizza!!3. Some of my penne (in lemon Alfredo saucewas stuck together (picso I know they just whisked it up after throwing the ingredients together.4. No one came to ask if everything was OK after putting the food on the table.5. Waitress asked for tip even though everything is included in Switzerland6. Last but not least, food was average. All in all, filled our tummies and that’s about it. Certainly not worth CH117. Agree with many negative reviews.
The pizza was very delicious, truly an Italian pizza. The beef entercote was also very good. Other dishes were okay. Staff were not very cooperative, but that may be because of the many customers around at that hour. A bit expensive in comparison to the quality of the food.
Excellent location, right by the waters and the ambiance is great. Food though was average. We got two pizzas - Salami and mushroom, a risotto and a pasta. None of the dishes stood out.
Amazing place! I came in with a bunch of allergies and my waiter listened and confirmed the questions I had asked. The eggplant GF penne was delicious! Would definitely come again. They were attentive to not only my service but everyone around them it seems. Got constant smiles from other servers and constant making sure I am doing ok. Wonderful service!
Excellent Italian pizza and pasta. Went to this restaurant twice in four days, very nice place and good service. Recommended if you like Italian cuisine.
My husband ate lassagne which were so tiny that they looked like an appetiser and costed 25 CHF and my rissoto was so tastleless and plain, it was only rise with safran, no other spices, herbs, nothing. That costed 27 CHF, riddicuously expensive for this kind of "quality".
As someone who spent their career in hospitality I have to say this restaurant is severely lacking in the service department. A single woman, seated in the middle of the room, I had to repeatedly ask for basics like a menu. Over a 10 min period (no exaggeration nobody approached me to take an order so I grabbed the sleeve of a passing waiter to get service. Given no choice he politely took my order. My wine and food did eventually arrive (I had the meat tortellini). The pasta was ok but quite bland. The wine was nice.Again, getting the check required several requests from various people (busboy, other waiters, floor manager). At no time did anyone come to apologize for the mistakes or try to smooth things over. Prices were high, but that is common in that riverside (ie touristypart of town.I got the feeling they were annoyed a single woman showed up there. They weren’t nasty but I felt like an inconvenience instead of a customer.
The service is great. The ambience is ok. Only alternate tables will have lit up candles. So only if youre lucky youd get to have a candle light dinner with ur date. The food is a little below ok. I ordered a chicken pizza and there were hardly 5-6 chunks of chicken in it. I expected it to be better specially given that i paid about 30 chf. Tastewise it was just very ok. This is noway authentic italian stuff.
We entered this place seeing the good ambience but were fairly disappointed with the food. We ordered a chicken pizza and white sauce pasta. The pizza had barely any chicken and the sauce was watery and the pasta wasnt cooked well. Woudnt recommend this place for the quality of food for its price.! Slow service
Italian restaurant with old styled interiors - perfect थीं crust pizzas. Overlooks the river and the flea market, nice outside seating, worth a visit!
Amazing dishes, good services and super awesome staff, good sitting both inside and outside and good location👌🏾
Just left this place after having a "four seasons" pizza for 25 00 SF.. about $30.00 Australian. It was the worst pizza I had in my life. And believe me , in the last 2 months away from home I have had heaps of over priced horrible mealsOn a "four seasons " they split the pizza to have the ingredients only on one quarter of the pizza. Two olives..two small pieces of ham..two artichokes... two pieces of mushroom. On each quarter.I couldnt believe it.If you wish to be amazed and ripped off at the same time.Pay a visitThey see tourist coning at 1000 meters. Thus is a very poor recommendation for the city and staying hereRichard Blanch.Newcastle.AUSTRALIA
5 if us ate there. 1 order came wrong. And one the pasta was so hard just couldn’t be eaten. But because I ate the 3 baby shrimp out of it the wouldn’t discount it or give me my salad. 1 person raved about his lasagna and the rest of the food was just something to fill ya up with. Maybe they just had a bad night. I won’t go back. Service stunk also
They dont have good food, either good service mind. Dont order their Schokolade especially. It comes with heated milk with cocoa powder lol and thats not real Swiss hot chocolate at all. And they said "Swiss way" lol sorry, thats not true my friend :(
The food was ok although my sisters seafood pasta had only 3 prawns in there. The service was very poor. The staff seemed completely unbothered to take our order and check things were ok. We asked for bread and the waiter acted as though we had asked for a pot of gold. Strange to see such poor service in a very busy tourist area. Only good for a quick bite before catching a train.
Great pizza and pasta friendly chef nice atmosphere friendly staff I would absolutely come back again here
Food and service were both excellent. We enjoyed the Gnocchi & their signature Rossini pizza. Both were delicious and beautifully presented. Reasonable prices (particularly for Switzerland), and staff spoke English. All in all, a very pleasant experience!
