Cooked breakfasts, sandwiches and hearty staples, served in an Irish pub with old-fashioned decor.
RIP Rosies. It was always a great late-night haunt. The only place a sensible person could get into after 12am in Perth. You will be missed
Rosies seems to be reclaiming its old vibe , live bands and a good atmosphere have once again made Rosies a good night out for the more mature party goers , a great selection of beers but can be a worry trying to get served sometimes even with ample staff .....Havent called for a beer in a couple of weeks and was stuck to the floor when I called mid week after been at the sibin up the road and drinking magners for 10 bucks a bottle to be hit with 12.50 at rosies ...So sad to hear this institution is closing next week .... its had its ups and downs over the years but what a loss to the Irish community this will be , a sad day indeed , just when I thought 2020 couldnt throw up any more surprises.....
Great place to catch up with people , have a pint of the best , listen to live music on a Saturday Night , and see and hear all the chatter. From James Neil Tremain under Joom and FacebookNeil Tremain under GOOGLE MAPS
Top little bar, great, friendly staff. Fantastic spot to call in for a cheeky pint and a feed
I took the Snug bar for Saturday night for a wedding craic and Scott and his team made it all very smooth and easy going. I really appreciated his follow up call prior to our event to confirm the booking and he gave me a discount for ordering the platters. Thank you thank you Scott and Rosies for enabling our happy night. great facility, fantastic service. If I could give 10 stars, I would !!!
First place i celebrated St Patrick’s day and what a day it was . It might have been a few years ago now but it’s always a great memory. Great place to have a drink even during the day when it’s not as busy as St Patrick’s night. Would love to return one day always happy memories of here . Just wish i had taken a camera with me
Only 1 ladies toilet in the restaurant area is a bit poor on a busy night. They also didnt have any alcohol free options which is disappointing
Great venue for small to medium gigs. Some good beer on tap and decent pub food
The daily specials are the best value for money.Chicken curry parmigiana is the best. Great size.Venue is old but great location
Great atmosphere, cosy. Friendly, helpful staff, speedy service. A great venue for a catch up drink, or just because. Disappointed I didnt get to try the food, but Ill be sure to when I return! For the meantime, 4 stars!
Classic Irish pub with an authentic welcoming atmosphere, Went there to watch Simon Taylors stand up comedy during perth fringe and was not disappointed!Drinks are reasonably priced a pint of Magners Irish Cider along with a half for the missus came to $17.50 a decent price considering the location. They also serve classic pub grub and have a good range of beers and spirits no surprise Guinness is one of them!
Typical Irish pub with vintage carpets that reek of very old beer. Heaps of seating with a bar upstairs and downstairs, though upstairs seems to be closed unless theres an event on, and there usually is. Very average pizza with a base from Woolies, similar to a school canteen style pizza. For some reason it came with aioli on the side, and turns out the aioli improves it a lot! It was hot and filling, but tasted average, wasnt cheap, and took about half an hour to come out, so all around passable but not great. I would only recommend getting food here if theres a special, or youre already drinking and dont want to explore the many food places nearby.
Great food, service and price, more perth pubs should learn from these,36.00 for 2 meals on a Saturday night.amazing.
If you are looking for a true Irish pub experience this is the place to go! Everyone is friendly and welcoming. A great place to go hang on a Sunday and yes they pour a mean Guinness beer!
One of the best pubs in Perth great people always a good laugh
Was there for a Xmas party. Food and drink was quite good with a large variety of both. Service was a bit slow sometimes as we were in a back room so they were focused on the main bar but all in all a great experience.
Totally a place to come have a drink and a meal . "WARNING" The food is amazing and very generous ... If you are a big eater you will be in heaven🌬🌬🦄🦄
I used to love this place, probably fuelled by nostalgia and home sickness. Its gone a bit downhill though. It still gets a decent crowd but the place is dirty and the band were pretty average. I dont remember them singing one Irish song
Good atmosphere on the Friday night I went! Live music, dim lights, the classic pub feel.
Great food, great pints, friendly atmosphere
They do a lovely Irish curry, food is reasonably priced, good atmosphere and $6 drinks for happy hour mon-fri between 5pm-6pm and friendly service. I now go here often.
I kinda like this place. Feels authentic English with the funky carpet low ceilings and dark scrolled wooden pillars. Lots of choices between draught beer and lagers. Went there for the Pint of Science talks in Rosies Back bar called The Boston. Theres some very neat historical pictures of the hotel from when it was first constructed on the wall near the water closets entry
Decent pub has a nice private bar for functions, not bad selection of beer, havent tried the food so cant say much besides clean and tidy, nice old style to the place
Bit down at heel these days. Some customers were swearing and noone from bar staff said a word to stop them. Disappointing attitude.Only had beer and cider which were fine but chose to go after one drink as didnt feel comfortable.
Me and my friends like going here before we head out to the clubs, its a nice chill place to have a few drinks, they are average price though. Clientelle is mostly older couples and men.
A friendly and welcomin staff. Food and drinks at good price. Live music, stand ups and other activities happenings on days. Small and chilled out irish pub. Been there twice and each time the experience got better. Encourage to give that place a visit.
Clean, neat, well staffed, they picked up your dishes and empty glasses quickly, had current sports on the tvs and a great variety of beverages.
We were wandering around the Fringe Festival and saw a $6 happy hour beer. That waS GOOD.Then a show upstairs. also good. But then we ordered a burger. One of the worst meals Ive ever paid for. And it wasnt cheap at about $19. A frozen patty that had been deep fried into a rubbery texture. No salads, onion etc. Supposed to have bacon, but not in sight. The chef should be ashamedGive this place a miss.
Nice to visit an authentic Irish pub for a Guinness and great (slowfood. The Whiskey Chicken Wings are unusual in Perth & excellent! The fish and chips are not greasy or overly battered and the veggie burger is tasty!
Great service, always friendly and welcoming. Never had issues. When people drunk generally down break the law and just throw them out but give them water and help them, well what I have seen.
A busy Saturday night at Rosie OGradys. Great beer and great company - without too much misbehavin. The band was rocking with a Cartman lookalike from South Park.A great place to people-watch as all sorts roll by down Lake Street as the night goes on.
This place was so cosy and was the 3rd stop on our Irish pub crawl. We got a bit hungry so decided to try out the Irish curry parmi. OMG a must. It was so delicious.
I have been here a few times, havent been here in a while though but the times I was here I enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, decent range of drinks, great live music on weekends. I hope to go back sometime.
Decent pint of Guinness and a mucky carpet with a pub musk which gives the establishment a nice homely feel. Will definitely visit again!
Traditional pub offering meal deals through the week, happy hour and live entertainment.Great staff.
Home to Celtic supports club.....happy hour between 5-6 daliy.....food always good!
Rosies has a good, traditional pub sort of atmosphere, and has enough separate spaces that you dont need to shout over the events or other patrons if you dont want to, even while live music and sportscasts are available. However, Id warn that they can have a fairly limited selection of beers on tap at times, and you will be paying a lot for food that is ultimately not all that great.
Wonderfully unpretentious Irish Pub. The main regular staff are such genuinely wonderful people that they will always have a loyal following. The happy hours are great value too. The atmosphere is so friendly, warm and relaxed and they exemplify what a good old fashioned pub should be.
There used to be a heap of these Irish pubs in Perth, but clearly fashions have changed.Rosies has not changed so if you like an Irish pub, you will like Rosies.
Rosie OGradys is a place i frequently visit during Fringe shows, this year they did not disappoint. I love the fact you can have a few pints while laughing my head off at the acts on stage and if the comedians arent funny well at least Ive gotten myself a good beverage.
Only reason for 3 stars is due to the serving of battered pork sausages. For $15 u only get 3 mini battered snags that aint nothing more than the ones from the supermarket aWith a bed of unsalted thick cut chips on the bottom. 3 MINI SAUSAGES!! Dont try it guys.
Incredibly friendly classical pub. The owners make an effort to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We work nearby and Rosies is a great option.
I really enjoyed Rosie OGradys, live music had brilliant setlist, drinks were reasonably priced and service staff was quick and polite. Clientele were nice and talkative and bouncers were respectful and friendly
went to watch a show here. But they had no eftpos at the bar Which sucked! So you had to pay to use the ATM. Good location but needs a bit of a re-vamp
The Kilkenny tasted like the fluid they clean the pumps with and the food was awful. My husband steak sandwich was fatty some of the chips were still frozen. My daughters chicken pizza ,the chicken tasted old . I dont know why these pubs dont go back to old fashioned do their own homemade cooking instead of frozen processed shite. It was not cheap , get yourselves some delicious homemade soups going and some decent chefs. The beer was that bad I could not drink it and ended up having to get a bottled beer. Biggest waste of our hard earned money ever. Voting with our feet will never return and be sure to tell all our friends.
I was there just in time for happy hour 5 till 6pm, all wines $6 a glass, made me a very happy traveler.Service was great, both the Irish bar tenders were a but hot which is a bonus.
Cheap on certain days and happy hour, reasonable the rest of the time. Staff are great. Food is proper pub grub, delicious and always quick.
My hubby and me have been frequenting Rosies for years. Were in our 60s now so not as often. It does a fantastic value for money feed...very tasty too. Staff are very friendly and we like the atmosphere too.
Pretty average irish themed bar.Beer selection is crapFood was average at bestStaff were friendly and fast at least...
Backpacker or quick lunch spot .... no doubt a overseas mock Irish Pub feel but it does the job. If you get there when theres a crowd its a great spot .... did I also say its mostly Irish.
