Modern Thai cuisine served in a compact, light, contemporary wood-and-whitewashed cafe.
Recommended by my brother since he used to eat this all the time during his uni days. Hands down the BEST pad thai ever! Would not hesitate coming here again :Service was amazing too. Wished the thai milk tea could be more creamy though but still good experience overall
Great foodService was brilliant from TongThere was no tables free when we arrived, but Tong when out of his way to greet us and explained the menu to us whilst we were waiting.Highly recommended.
Amazing food! 100% Thai. Tong is very cool! Excellent service and food! Will come back for shure.
Food was serviceable but not amazing, they didnt have half the starter options so choice was a bit limited. The service was pretty grim though - we had booked and our table had been given away so we had to sit downstairs which is very cramped and old looking - nothing like the pictures suggested.Seemed very disorganised - our drinks order was taken maybe 5 mins after we sat down but took almost half an hour to turn up. As we were downstairs we also unfortunately had to listen to arguments between kitchen staff and wait staff. We ate as quickly as we could and got out as it wasnt pleasant to sit there.Heard another table saying that its not usually as disorganised and its because a manager wasnt in but that shouldnt be an excuse for a bad experience.Cant in good concious recommend the place based on my experience which is a shame as we were really looking forward to trying it.
Food was delicious. Service could improve. We got our drinks with the food instead of getting them before food. Had to ask for a glass of water a couple of times.
It is a tiny place this was second time i have been food is delicious but i it is spicy so it does say on the menu but if I compare with other thai restaurants this one was the very spicy one. I really enjoyed cashew nut stir fry with prawns. My friends order thai green curry this was the very spicy one.
Lovely food spoilt by terrible service when visiting on 30 Oct for dinner. Rude waitress who made no effort. Had to ask for our drink 4 times before it finally came 45 minutes late and after the meal was finished. The prawn crackers came after the meal was finished which I had to ask for an extra 3 times. The manager did reduce the bill and was apologetic, but the meal was ruined by this point. The waitress begrudgingly took the payment without a smile or thank you. Such a shame as great food, but the rudeness and lack of service means I won’t return.
I had a reservation booked for 6.30 Saturday 29th October. I arrived on time to see that the restaurant was clearly full! I was greeted by Billy, the very friendly General Manager. There had been an issue with their booking system which explained the full to overflowing restaurant! Billy was very polite and apologetic and I could see was trying very hard to be accommodating. After a short wait, Billy had found us a table, yay. I have been to most Rosas around London - the food is ALWAYS good - and can genuinely say that this branch is my favourite. Helpful friendly staff and the service was speedy considering it was a Saturday evening. Everything from the salads, rolls, curries, to the noodles and rice is delicious. And of course its all excellent value, particularly for a restaurant in the middle of Soho. I cannot recommend Rosas enough, particularly this branch. Thanks again to the lovely Billy and the team for great service and helping to start off a fantastic Saturday night! See you guys soon. Michelle (Christmas present coming up!)
TERRIBLE SERVICE!Visiting London on vacation and saw they do gluten free, service was polite but poor however the food was good and it was actually gluten free. Decided to come back the next night despite poor service because it was a safe place to eat… we ordered right away and after 20 minutes of waiting I had to ask for the waters we ordered, after 30 minutes I had to ask about our food. We kept getting reassured she was checking on it, after 45 minutes the table of 5 that came well after us received all their food. I asked again and she said they were just sorting the receipts for the order but it’ll be started soon. We got up and left! The night before it took 5 mins to cook our food so we know it doesn’t take that long. Also other tables were getting mad because they couldn’t get their bill/pay to leave. Do not recommend!
Really cute place. There are a lot of vegan options :))
The food is ok, but overpriced. Maybe it was a one time thing, but it’s not normal to be seen a couple of times waving to only have to resort to raising the voice in order to get a napkin. It was not even that crowded
The food is generally fairly good at Rosas, considering its a chain, but the Soho branch was poor in terms of organisation/customer service. Ive had food here before for takeaway after having a great meal at a different branch, had to wait 35 minutes for takeaway, which I was ok with that day as I was off work, went today, wanted to sit down, but it was full, so asked for takeaway and they said there was trouble with kitchen we cannot serve you at all, no other explanation, just happy to turn customers away to lighten up their work load. Not much else I could say and didnt want to waste my energy arguing just for a takeaway lunch. Please try to get more staff or better organisation in the restaurant, this is no dig to the food, food is good!
I have been to different Rosa around London for quick meals, and this branch definitely standouts in service and taste. The food was very nice. I ordered glass noodles salad, grilled pork salad, and sweetcorn salad from the special menu and they were all fantastic. The service was great. The staff, Billy, was very friendly and attentive.
Food was delicious! The guy that served us yesterday was very arrogant
We had a really nice family meal here, very accomodating to seat all 6 of us in, food was superb, best Thai curry Ive had, service was great, we didnt need to wait long for the food.
Great place for authentic Thai food. Staff gave amazing suggestions for me to try something new. Would definitely be returning.
The food here is amazing, in quantity and quality. Friendly staff. Definitely would recommend this place and will go again.
An OG cheap eats in soho. Had mixed Rosa’s these past few years - Tower Bridge numerous times has not been up to standard - but the meal here this week was fantastic- banging Tofu Mussaman, crunchy corn fritters and fresh summer rolls. It’s an in and out speedy joint, tables close together but very tasty, energetic and cheap. House red was on point. Keep it up….
Food was absolutely amazing! The place is nice and cozy! The waitress were really diligent. Got there without reservation and got a table quickly. Would highly recommend if you want to get some nice and tasty Thai food. I ordered a chicken pad tai and my boyfriend the special fried rice. All delicious.
Hi unfortunately we couldn’t make our reservation yesterday. This was not because of us but because we couldn’t even get in! When we tried to call (several timesno one answered. With walk ins blocking the doorway and on top of that after waiting 15mins to even see a member of staff dealing with waiting customers. We decided to move on as for me if they cannot even deal with sitting customers at tables this does not bode well for how they will manage to serve our food in a timely manner. Really disappointed as this was a special occasion and was looking forward to trying their/your food. Maybe I will try to eat at one of your/their other bigger restaurants as I would not recommend Soho based on how unorganised the entrance system (too small, no staffis. Can’t comment on food as couldn’t even get to that part of the experience! First impressions of Rosa’s not a good one.
I was a bit disappointed with the food. My noodles tasted good but were terribly overcooked. I also found it quite expensive, we ordered 3 main dishes and one beer and spent more than £17 each - I doubt Ill visit again.
It was busy at the restaurant, we haven’t book but they give us a table and the service was fast enough. Food was good and service was good too. Sunny, was friendly and fast. Good
The best Pad Thai!!!! Thai ice tea with milk is super good as well, great prices and good quality of service, def recommended
Delicious food, tasty drinks and service with a smile. I would recommend booking as they tend to get busy, I walked up and luckily managed to get a table outside (there are a couple). Very much enjoyed this visit, will be coming back for sure!
Decent grub. Service seemed slow and no attention was given to the table for water refills etc.
As usual a lovely experience. Staff friendly, I had Thai fried rice with chicken and extra chicken satay, delicious & yummy, and good portions! The home made lemon ice tea is very nice, proper. Tad strong so I diluted it with some water.I come here every once in a while, always a happy customer.
Good for gluten free. Although quite rude staff (we were told on entry we would only have our table for 1 hour, even though we’d booked for longer). Food tasted fine-good, but I think others are better
This has got to be the worst example of Rosa’s Thai I have ever had the misfortune to come across. We hadn’t booked and it was Saturday night in Soho, so after wandering around looking for somewhere to eat, we jumped upon the familiar and comforting sight of Rosa’s to stop the tummies grumbling. We were pleased to be given a table as it seemed busy. This was just before 7pm.We sat and chose our drinks and food. The waiter arrived and let us make our order before telling us there were no starters. NONE.Ok.Toyed with leaving, but couldn’t bear the thought of wandering around hungry, so soldiered on with just an order for mains. Then we were told no white wine.Well, no Sauvignon Blanc or house white anyway. No other options offered, no apologies.Just laughter at how hilarious it is to go in a restaurant and find out (after you’re welcomed in and already sat downthat over a third of the menu and the white wine is missing.Order a red wine and a beer. And tap water.Beer arrived - no glass, no glass even offered.Food came very quickly.Tap water didn’t come at all.Food was lukewarm, insipid, watery and marginally tasty but I put the taste down to the hunger and need for it rather than any skill involved in its creation. While we sat there we heard the order next to us. Again allowed to enter, sit and order before being told no starters. And now no pork either.Unbelievable. At least warn people before they start ordering.Never again. I’m now off Rosa’s altogether because this may be how they all operate now? After this, I couldn’t take the chance.
Tatsy food with great vegan options. Got the sweetcorn fritters and a tofu cashew curry.Visited with a group, tables are quite small but large enough not to be uncomfortable.
Excellent meal at the Soho branch in mid-July. Its a small informal dining cafe, ideally suited for a quick bite to eat before a visit to the Theatre.
Had a lovely dinner with a friend. All the food is delicious. The variety is not huge, but one isnt left without options. Big fan of the summer roll.
Slightly annoying trip. First went to use a sharing platter voucher but turns out you had to book in advance… Fair enough, our fault for not checking, but you would think that at 9:45 on a Friday the manager might let it slide. The waitress came back 3 times to get our order correct: gave us a glass of wine instead of a carafe, almost charged us for the sharing platter even though we cancelled after not being able to redeem the voucher, also almost charged us for egg fried rice even though we cancelled that as well. The cherry on the top was that when asked to split the £49.16 bill in half, the manager said “is £25 each good with you guys?” Never really had a manager ask for more money that was on the receipt. Was an odd experience.
A nice Restaurant in the middle of the Westend with very busy surroundings. The food is excellent the staff are helpful. There is a downstairs seating area, so if you look into the restaurant it may look busy but you could be seated downstairs. If you love Thai food you wont be disappointed.
We went today as a post theatre meal and because we had their free platter voucher. Honestly the 2 stars are for the voucher as I definately wouldnt pay full price for the service. The food was good but....we were given dirty plates which the waiter was hesitant to change, my drink glass had a lipstick stain on it and the toilets were absolutely disgusting!
Service was very very poor, A/C was turned on to the lowest temperature and everyone was freezing. The waiters kept ignoring customers, maybe they are shy or something, but it was definitely a very uncomfortable experience. Food was amazing though, nice presentation and tasty, but cold after a couple of minutes due to the slow service and the a/c.
Great food with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Also wide range of spice levels from mild to heavy, highly recommend sharing dishes across the entire group.Recommend reservations - Soho district gets crowded in evenings. There is extra seating located downstairs.
Excellent service & convenient location.Food is good & the Monday to Friday express lunch menu is good value.
Excellent food and excellent service. But it is small and it is busy, but that it is so busy is a testament to how good it is. I think given the current inflation pressure the food is reasonably priced and is incredibly tasty. It is well decorated and I really enjoy the colourful aesthetic. I was happy for the amount of King prawns I received with my pad thai and the crispy onions in the pad thai absolutely took it to another level.
Food was great but Im not eager to go again. I think its rather ridiculous that you need to pay extra for rice (as in it doesnt come with your meal). It was also very cramped and service was a little slow. But the Thai lemonade was delicious
Great food, lovely stuff and a really nice place!Perfect for a little break.
The venue feels a bit cramped but the warm interiors, lovely food and lovely staff more than make up for it.I had the spring rolls and massaman curry with rice, along with some excellent Thai ice milk tea. It took just minutes to arrive and had all the right flavours and then some. Would recommend.
My only words for this restaurant are “not bad” the food is alright and the service is not bad, although the atmosphere is nice they messed up 2 of our orders! The food was good, but lacked flavour, but the drinks were great, for pricing it’s not bad at all and a wonderful place to bring your friends for some mid week Thai food. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick bite. As for COVID precautions, they offer hand sanitiser, although the servers do not wear masks it is still a nice experience!
Food is very good and staff is helpful. Not five stars because I’ve found egg on my dish after asking if it could be made vegan and the staff said yes. When I mentioned it, they fixed straight away and they didn’t charge me for the dish which was a very nice gesture.
More of a 3.5 stars. The food is good but a bit unmemorable. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here but if you’re in the area and are craving Thai, it’s a good option.
Its a small(ishrestaurant with a limited outdoor seating area. The food was lovely but the service was really slow. When we arrived, we were told our booking had been cancelled (we didnt cancelbut luckily, we were still seated. Although we moved tables once another couple had left their corner table, it still took a while to take our order. When we wanted to pay, we again had to wait some time. In the end, my friend stood in the middle of the restaurant to get their attention.
Food overall was ok the Thai red curry was good in flavour. The starters were also good. Downside is the service was quite slow and feel there isn’t much selection of meals
Small place and busy but serves consistently great Thai food. Been to Rosa few times and theyre always friendly and great portion. The coconut rice is my favourite as you can really taste the coconut unlike most places where the flavours are subtle. The massaman curry and chicken Penang is recommended along with a starter of prawn crackers.
Small place with great food. The pad Thai was incredibly tasty. They had these vegetarian crackers (like prawn crackers but not animal basedthat were the best I ever had... Ever! So addictive. The staff was also quite thoughtful when we let them know we had someone with a seafood allergy in our dinner party.
The food was really nice and very good portion. Price is also very decent. Ordered tea with my meal and it stayed hot for a very long time. The waitress was polite and served use efficiently. It’s a really cosy little cafe with more seating downstairs. I will definitely be going back.
Went to celebrate my friends birthday here. We called to put a reservation but we found the employee abrupt and rude. Since we really wanted to try eat at the restaurant, we didnt make it a big deal. Then she told us we need to put a deposit of £10 per person to hold a reservation which we did. The day came and we arrived at the restaurant. We were still trying to enter the restaurant as it was cold outside and the restaurant was tiny, the one at reception and one waitress was very rude and just shouted at us shut the door and tried to push the door whilst 2 of our friends were still trying to enter the restaurant. We informed them we had the reservation for that time, the staff looked as they didnt know about the booking. The booking was for 12 people but they directed us to be seated in the area where they just put 3 tables together. They looked like they were not prepared for our group reservation. On that day, probably luckily there was 8 of us as 4 of our friends didnt make it. We were also told that we had the table for an hour and 15 minutes whilst the rest of the guests we came in with had at least an hour and 30 mins... We understand that the restaurant could be busy but why the different times of guests and different treatment? We were then seated and given the menus. It was also rude for one of their waitresses to just move one of the tables with another guest without even informing him just to squeeze a group of 8 in 3 tables... yes 3 tables... a tight squeeze for all of us.We were given the menus and not one even bothered to ask us if it was our first time to eat at restaurant. They came to take our orders just after a minute from handing the menus to us. We were not yet able to look at the menu properly that time. Nonetheless, we were still very patient with the crew. We asked them to give us 2 more minutes to organise our orders as it was a group order...Thankfully the young waitress who came back to take our orders had etiquette and had a smile to her face. She was the only person smiling at us whilst the rest of the staff were very rude. The food was not bad. The main thing that put us off was the attitude and the rudeness of the staff, except for the young waitress. Would probably eat at a different branch but would not come back to this branch... The restaurant management should look into improving the staff attitude.
