Delicious and fresh food! 5 stars!

Very good and fresh food! Romantic setting and vibe, Lovely service, very thoughtful when mentioning allergies. (Prices are more than correct.on walking distance from Hotel La Mariposa.@the owners, the place is listed as a bar and not as restaurant om google. Therefore I didn’t find the restaurant online when I searched for ‘restaurants in the neighborhood’. When we passed by, we saw the place and visited. And came back for a second time 😂🤤

Always great to have dinner at Roots Spirit. Lentrecôte is always delicious and cooked as you ordered. The service is excellent. The place is cool. Highly recommend.

Went there for dinner and was highly pleased with my order. I also like the way the owners/managers have adapted the setting to transform it into a restaurant with open air dining.Some days there is a live singer who comes over, he does a really fine job, not too loud with his loudspeaker system and plays his own keyboard. His only flaw is performing too many French songs ;-)

Open-space Restaurant & Bar with the sky as its roof, very chill place with mostly locals, ordered the Tiger’s Tears, definitely the best steak I’ve ever tried, I couldn’t get enough of it I almost ordered a second serving.Asha is amazing to speak to, she even asked her husband, Brandon, to offer me a ride to my place since rarely a Taxi passby their Restaurant street, he agreed without a thought and even went outside his own way to drop me by my place, both are cool and perhaps my visit to this Restaurant is the highlight of my stay in Mauritius.Would definitely visit again and recommend anyone I know that plan to visit Mauritius to do so.

Got there at 20.10. Server came to take our order at 25mins later - we ordered main course and drinks right away, but our food was served at 22.15! More than 1.5h waiting time!! All other tables had to wait this long! But, neither the server, nor the owner advised us of the waiting time. Cannot rate the food, as we barely ate a few bites and asked for take away.Not even an apology from the owner. My first and last time there and will certainly not recommend to anyone who asks.

Honestly not the best restaurant except the owner who seems very friendly - Staff looks a bit young and not motivated enough to even tell you what is the tigers tear on the menu... "cest le tigre... il a une larme" and leaving while laughing.... Beer came without bubbles and no apologies while switching for a new own - honestly you cant see when you serve a beer without foam in a glass???Finally ordered that tiger thing without knowing and surprise - spent all the weekend in the bathroom....2 star for the owner Brandon who was friendly and needs to change his staff! Kitchen should check the freshness of their products!

Order the tiger tears... Its the most phenomenal steak you will ever eat in your life! Be sure to wash it down with a spicy rum!! The owners are fantastic and chef Asha is amazing! Great staff and good vibe.

The chef is fenominal. Tiny little lady with incredible food. Do yourself a favour and order their tiger tears or the beef burger.You will thank me later..

The seared tuna is the best Ive had in the island. the service is slow, but thats pretty normal in Mauritius.Great vibe with outside seating.They also often have a band which adds to the atmosphere.

We just recently travelled around Mauritius on our holiday. Generally all our food we ate out was very good but this restaurant just topped everything! The food was incredibly tasty and the whole atmosphere (including the live bandwas just incredible. We highly recommend this place (-:

We had a wonderful evening with a very tasty three-course meal. They had live music in the reggae-genre and lots of instrumentals. The owner seemed like a great and humble man, with his lovely wife as chef. Everything was top notch! Absolutely recommended!
