Place is old and in need a deep clean. They do not accept Apple Pay and charge more for paying by card. Waited for several minutes at the register before being helped. Bbq was very good but was a little cold when served

Very clean, enjoyable atmosphere as the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The two meat combo was good, but the brisket definitely stole the show with a nice pepper bark. Combined with a delicious sauce it made for a great lunch experience.

Got there for an early lunch and was met with the most flavorless sandwich, Mac n cheese that was microwaved within an inch of its life, and no drinks …

Roosters Texas BBQ serves some great BBQ and fixing. We drop be here fir lunch quite often. Everytime we eat here the food is great, the staff is great and the dining room is always squeaky clean. Hope to see you there!

Ate here today and the brisket was awful. But everything else was great and I will come back soon!

Great BBQ, tender cuts, homemade flavor on the sides, good tea n vibe

Brisket was good! But the worker should have noticed just how old the corn was it was like trying to get through wax. Unfortunately had ordered delivery so could not get it replace with another side.

This place is awesome. BBQ sauce and cornbread were very tasty.

tried for the first time today. brisket had good flavor but had Lots of fat. Sausage was dry...coleslaw didnt look very good and tasted like it looked. cornbread was good and so was the okra. cobbler was heated in the microwave and was super soggy and tasted like it had been there for days. would not go back and pay 19 bucks for this again. not worth it for the price. portions were small for the price. lady who took order was not very nice and seemed to get upset when I asked if I could add something to my order. order was given to me without cobbler had to remind her so lucky I checked my order before I left back to work.

Had lunch today and my first time at this place, I have to say I was extremely impressed with my meal.I had a brisket plate which included two sides. The food portions we’re definitely worth the price and the brisket was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. I am a very picky eater and I am always looking or something new. So needless to say I will be back. I gave them a four-star because I did not try the ribs, once I try those then I will give my review on the ribs hopefully they will be as tasty as the brisket worse and if so I will give another review👍

I have been staying across the street at the Cotton Court for weeks at a time. I have tried to get into Roosters, but the restaurant is closed for dinner during the week. ??I ordered the prime rib. It was tasty. Unfortunately it came to my table coldI was between appointments and had to rush . The waitress offered to redo my lunch.The Cole slaw was meh. The cornbread was sensational. Disappointing lunch

I have eaten at Rooster’s two times. Both times the food was very marginal. Brisket was dry and their sauce has too much vinegar and Clove flavor.

Highly recommend! Food was delicious! They have daily specials. And margaritas by the gallon and beer to go!

Great food! Fork tender brisket! Passing through from Florida and found this place with a big enough parking lot for our travel trailer. Easy in/easy out!

I cant believe Id never heard of this place. I picked up a couple of brisket plates today and they were delicious! Tender flavorful brisket, excellent beans served piping hot, tasty potato salad served ice cold and some of the best jalapeno cornbread muffins Ive ever tasted. I will definitely be back. I was craving a good plate of barbeque and this REALLY hit the spot.

Omg so good! Guy at the register was so nice he made the experience more enjoyable!! wasn’t busy at all food arrived quickly and was so sooo good. The lemonades are amazing and the whole place was very clean and tidy. Peach cobbler was so so good oh my it was the best!! We will be back !!! love it here and recommend it to everyone!

The chicken, ribs and brisket melts in your mouth. Finger licking good sauce. Peach/Mango Punch was screaming. Really enjoyed the food, hospitality, and conversation. Will be back the next time that Im in town.

I love Roosters BBQ. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. My go-to order is the smoked turkey plate with fried okra and potato salad. The cobbler is quite good as well.

The macaroni and cheese is made fresh daily and came recommended by the staff - a must. The coleslaw had the tight amount of pepper and the green beans were well flavored. Wish I could share a picture but we got to visiting with Rooster and his wife Lori. The vibe from owners and staff alike is welcoming and they all truly seem to enjoy their craft.

Pretty good bbq place. I did carry out and arrived home with warm food so good job on that.Lets just score card the essentialsBrisket : ARibs : A+Pulled pork : CSausage : B++Sides : B-Sauce : A-The sides got docked cause the beans need seasoning. And the tater salad was kinda boring.The pulled pork was just a lump of mush.The sauce got docked only because it was cold instead of hot.The brisket was awesome and the slices were thick. The ribs were soooo good but a half pound equated to 3 ribs so that made me sad.Overall, a pretty good BBQ joint with cool atmosphere. I will eat there again.

Very small portions nothing special about the smoked turkey I can get better at the store in a package. Not a single greeting on the owner. The cook was friendly. The salad is ridiculously simple. Not worth 11 plus dollars and 8 + dollar beer

First time trying this place out and loved it. I’m definitely going to be telling all my friends and family about the bbq place. Heck it was better than Rudy’s in my opinion. Quick service and nice staffs:)

The Worst so called BBQ I have had in Lubbock TX will never go back. 2 more friends with me all got different food and nobody could eat their food. Tea was old. Dont waste your money

Just ordered off favor to have delivered. Favor is great as always, but oh my the meat is so salty it’s not edible. I don’t normally complain, but bbq is my favorite and this is just not good at all.

Fantastic little joint with lots of character and friendly, down to earth service. Ribs were alright but the brisket was exceptional. Really tasty juices too.

Man brisket is super tender, sweet tea is perfect not to sweet, and the sauce is perfect. I love this place Ill say its the best bbq Ive had in lubbock.

If you have kids and enjoy the backyard BBQ feel without all the work, this is the place for you.The food was yummy. The jalapeño corn bread was super good. The peach cobbler was a nice treat. The drink station gave the kids many options to choose from. The strawberry lemonade and the cantaloupe drinks were a hit for us. The games up at the front door kept the kids busy for a bit. The back patio was fun. Outdoor games for the whole family. There was foosball, giant Jenga and corn hole. If you want to exscape the rush of the city without ever actually having to leave i recommend roosters.

Took the family here today. Absolutely awesome! Great place to take the grandkids. They have games and toys to keep them entertained. They also ave an awesome patio with the “corn hole” game plus Giant Jenna... that looked like fun. And the best part, ..... THE FOOD! BBQ the way it should be. Service was great too. This is one of those “down home” places that you’ll bring your out-of-town guest too. If you haven’t tried Roosters you need to. Best BBQ in West Texas for sure!

Nice homey spot downtown for lunch. I like the brisket and green chile sausage (but be warned, they arent fooling around with the spice level). The fried okra are crispy without being greasy on the outside or slimy on the inside, which is hard to pull off.

I got the 2 meat plate, with ribs and brisket. The brisket was good. The ribs were ok. The jalapeno corn bread was also good. But the food was just room temperature. And they were "stingy" with the meat....only 2 pieces of each. For the price I thought it wouldve been a little bit more food

Had lunch while visiting a friend. Amazing pulled pork, cornbread and potato salad. The staff are friendly and the sweet tea was some of the best Ive had.

A new Bar b que, they have Cold Beer, BBQ and Live Music. The Location has huge potential. Hope to see more bands at that venue.

Genuine Texas Barbeque! So delicious and reasonably priced. Owned and operated by local veteran. Recommend yall go visit soon. You will be addicted to the food and the atmosphere.

Best bbq place downtown. Large, moist cuts of brisket and turkey, good ribs, good sausage. Try the Killer sauce! They also serve breakfast--one of the few places downtown that does.

I dont like me ribs plate, also potatoes salad is too sour for me. My margarita is taste weird. Place is Nice,. Hubby and fathers in law like their briskets., juicyy.
