Food was great and service was quick

Service was extreme slow. I was the only customer in there yet 3 staff were talking to each other n took 17 minutes to prepare my food.

By far my favourite wings . The BBQ, Mexican and Lebenese flavours are amazing

My son came in to get some food after his basketball game today, and he was treated with such a kindness and respect! Staff was very friendly to him, best feedback from one happy teenager! He loved food he got! Thank you thank you thank youKindness always wins :)

Thanks for selling coal black chicken fully burned. You dont know BBQ, dont know tender well cooking flame. Stop making people cancer. Better for you to quit from job and go into mining charcoal business. But I dont think you can also make easy money from there anymore as it is not sustainable anymore due to fossil fuels not demanded anymore. Otherwise I would advise you to produce electric from burning chickens

This place is number one ripp off in Reading town centre unreasonable price for muffin size burger and £1.79 for can of soft drink is a joke and very expensiveI would definitely avoid this day light robery take away

They call their mashed up burger meat "premium beef strips" 😅

Without a doubt the best Piri Piri sauce in town. The wrap was delicious complimented by their chilli sauce. Great strips.Oh and the fries were great 👍🏽 - Definitely recommend if youre around in the Reading area.And a shout out to Faizan, service was swift, friendly and polite.

Their chicken wraps are nice but the big boss burger was awful and didn’t taste nice, meat was over cooked. Will never order again

Awful, the order from deliveroo hasnt arrived despite the status being update to delivered. Called restaurant and they told us to wait and call back. Called several times over the space of 40 minutes from two different numbers and there was no answer.

Great service as usual with fantastic food yes you have to wait a while but the wait is it worth it

Very bad customer service, I placed an order and was told to pay for the a tiny tub of sauce, and was told the boss does not care about customer service! On another occasion I ordered a delivery and half the order was delivered. When I called up there was no apology what so ever!

Roosters used to be great. Since the last time I went a couple of years ago. They have over doubled the price and the quality of the food is substantially worse. Instead of using chicken breast in their pitas they now use "mini fillets" which all had the tendon running through the middle of all of them as well as other chewy sinew. Garlic mayo replaced by garlic mush that just overpowers everything and the chips were almost hollow from over cooking. Paid £20 for two pita meals of which I threw 2/3s of mine in the bin. Avoid.

I asked for two halloumi wraps as I’m a vegetarian and they gave me two chicken wraps instead. Then when I called them about it they tried to blame me and said they asked me twice when they did not and NOT ONCE did chicken ever come up in that conversation. Unfortunately, I couldn’t even go back to rectify their mistake as I was on the train home by the time I realised. Don’t bother going here, would give them 0 stars if I could. It’s one thing to make a mistake but to try and blame the customer for it is ridiculous! Will not be going here again.

I always get my lunch or dinner from this place.Is something incredible!The food is really lovely, I never get enough.Ive had tried many roosters or peri peri food, this one beat them all!!I think is the best roosters in town.The only advice I can give them is to improve a little bit the customer service.Thank you for the amazing food.

Unmanned staff, no common sense, extreamly backwards and slow & rude, no people skills or customer services. Also hygiene issues, no gloves or any PPEFood itself was OK but with bad customer service like that I definitely would not be going back.

A true Nandos competitor has finally arrived and might I confidently say even better than them. Reasonable price, good quality food and portions. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavour packed into the peri peri whole chicken, chips and rice!!! Keep up the quality and youll go far!

Right I have been reading a lot of reviews and I have my own opinion as well as respect everyone elses?I believe the customer service is ok may be slow but they are cooking the chicken again what does take time and gives it the flavour. Best option is to go inside and order it not delivered? You want good cooked food then always compliment them by saying good things about their quality and I am sure they will give you what you require.

Got some takeout. Food was nice, I had lamb burger and halloumi with sweet potato fries.The staff was nice, but the shop was quite empty and I didnt mind waiting.I chose lemon and herb seasoning as I dont like spicy food but sadly it seems the paty has chilli in in anyway. It wasnt bad but the seasoning may not be for me.

came in today and collected a £48 order. food was average/good quality however service was very bad. waited almost 45mins for a order i had phoned in advance. i ordered 3 meals and a single platter and appetizers. they gave me the correct food however only 1 can of coke for the 3 meals. charged me for the meals . i asked for some chilli sauce and garlic and was told had to pay for garlic but then gave me 2 garlic dips.i regularly order out this was a special occasion should have gone to manzanoes or the branch in cemetery junction . this place has had new ownership recently and this the 2nd time they have messed my order up so decided to post review and suggest alternatives as plenty of nice chicken shops in the area Nandos is slightly more but worth it u get good service and food

I ordered and paid. I waited for my food over 3 hours, and had to cancel my order. I now started to cook dinner for my family, and its almost 10PM.When I ordered the promised delivery time was 35-45 minutes. Very dissapointed.

Tried other roosters, they are a waste of time for taste. Reading branch is spot on the chicken is cooked perfectly with the right spices. The chips are great and the salad. 5 star for quality in this branch only.Come from Slough to Reading for this branch.

Disappointed - guy at the till mumbled so much I had to ask him to repeat himself 3 times.Chicken wrap was good even though my order was wrong. In fairness i was offered a replacement.The fries were gluten free - good for those who need it but shouldn’t you offer a choice ?

would give 0 if possible. Ordered through just eat was given 45 min wait time, this was then upped to an 1hr 15. Over 2 hours after ordering rang and was told they had no drivers and it wasnt their fault. They claimed just eat sort out the drivers. This is a lie (just eat confirmed this to be a lie), over 2 and half hours later managed to get a refund through just eat. We couldnt cancel directly through the app as they had put the food as being out for delivery after an hour, again they claimed this on just eat.Do not order from the restaurant

We ordered Chicken Wrap, Chicken Burger and 1/2 Chicken lemon & herb flavour with peri FriesGarlic mayonnaise a must!!!!!!Lip Licking Luscious meal enjoyed every bite was reasonably busy got our meal in good time and excellent service.....Well deserved 5 Stars.

Ordered twice in 2 days burgers very dry it took very long to prepare the order, on second occasion I told the guy at the counter the burgers were dry last time however the the burger was still dry it looks like they dont care about service or customer loyalty. No value for the money you pay.

We ordered two mega platter meals for collection.When we checked the food at home there were two chickens not given to us !!We had to wait three hours to deliver it.Needs a wash basin for dine in.

Use to come from 9 years.Very expensive now. Now you Wont get any thing with main meal no souce no drink no bread have to pay separate for each thing.Chicken was good .but service specially male staff is so rude. Confusing Manu. Will not visit again.

Food tastes amazing everytime and that has too take the lime light! The shop gets quite busy at times and therefore wait times can be quiet long. I was left waiting for 45mins for my meal, whilst at least 10 other customers came in after me yet got their food before me. Still I would recommend.

You put Coke cans for £1.29. I can get a litre bottle for that much. Also you’ve reduced the amount of fries per side. Your not a fancy overpriced restaurant. Change these things!!!

One of the tastiest chicken wraps Ive had in a while. Good size with plenty of meat in the wrap and sauce adding just the right amount of heat. I went for medium. Yes it takes a while to get served, yes the shop front is tiny and theres usually nowhere to sit down but compared to what it was like before its 10x better now.

So, just been here after the Revamp, the store looked more nicer and cleaner from the previous store, which is comforting. Ordered a platter in store for takeaway! Waiting time the person on the Till said was 40 mins. The grill when I looked was absolutely empty. That just shows how unorganised they are with food preparation to ensure customers don’t wait for too long. The chicken was still steaming! In the oven!! Not happy at all!When we brought the chicken home, some pieces of the chicken were still raw!!!

Love their food and upgraded menu, however service is terrible. Staff on our previous visit seemed confused and incompetent, unable to handle incoming orders whilst queue grew longer. We had to leave after 15 minutes in the queue as they had completed many other orders wrong and there were tables full of waiting customers. Not the most professional standards of service either. Please invest in your staff, pay and training - it makes a difference to your business.

To be fair the food is pretty good but the service! Im sure youd get a warmer welcome at a prison canteen. The level of disdain that seemed to radiate off the girls serving was almost comical. No hello, no thank you, no eye contact, no goodbye. I almost wanted to laugh! Still, chicken was pretty good

It used to be my favourite place to eat tasty, good portion and at the right price. Even took my friends to this place as I was sure they would love it too. Since the refurbishment the place changed completely, its like new place but lost that special quality even my kids dont like it any more. The menu changed so did the portions and the price went up. I would have kept the same old menu but made the kitchen smaller to get more customers in, I think the owner missed the trick here, if its not broken why fix it!!why would you make the seating space smaller it just dont make sense.

Best value for money in reading town. The food is literally finger licking esp their chicken wings.. New menu is great and but needs a bigger resting area as its always jam packed.... cant wait to go back.

This one of the best priced and tasty food in Reading, had friends coming from different places just to try their burgers. Now is totally a different brand, you cannot recognise the menu anymore, price went very high. Looks like the new director have no experience on how to handle a business. When mc Donald make good customers and try to change things they never change all menu and prices, they keep old menus and same prices then add new menu to attract more customers, what Rooster did is totally the opposite, they lost all old customers by introducing different menus and prices, igniting to listen to their customers voice and that customers have the power not the director, now the place is empty it use to be full of people all the time, customer doesn’t recognise the place anymore and went somewhere else.What make you up is those customers that you now ignored, let’s see now without customers how the brand goes down

i gave 2 stars extra because of the fact they now sell grilled beef strips which taste great but come on mate how can you not give pitta bread or sauce with the meal??? that doesnt make sense and you will lose customers because the meal is already expensive so why should people pay even more it should all be included.

There is a saying "if it aint broke dont fix it". This is not the same Roosters as it used to be. Since the new look Roosters has reopened prices have gone up massively and the meal prices do not include a drink. The new menu is confusing. What is this shop now trying to be and who is it trying to serve? Food is overall disappointing as the taste now does not compare with what is used to be. Overall not impressed.

Me and my partner LOVE Roosters but since they’ve started their new menu the portions are tiny! I ordered prawns and rice and I got 4 little prawns, 3 prawns alone were the equivalent to one chicken strip therefore I felt I should have at least got 9 prawns. My partner and I were still hungry after our meal that we decided to stop off at KFC round the corner! Decent food but super disappointed with the portion sizes.

Terrible experience will never go again.I paid for my food and the guy never gave my receipt he gave all my friends their food and I waited patiently I then asked how long my food will be he then asked what I ordered and if I was sure I told him what I ordered and that I was sure, to which he replied 2 mins, I then waited another 10 mins and went back to the till to ask whats going on, the guy then accused me of not having ordered anything and verbally abused me several times and asked for my receipt I said I didnt have one given to me so I told him to check the system where it showed that I had in fact ordered and paid, this was half an hour after I had arrived at the place, he guy realised him mistake and despite this I received no apology the guy at the till gave me dirty looks. When I sad that I needed a refund as I didnt have the time to stay he swore under his breath. This is the worst place I have ever been to in my life, I will never go again.

Good food taste but painstakingly very slow service. The store is low on staff. Hygiene and store Maintenance is poor, seats are ripped. Customer Service is not a priority and the owner is just here to make quick money

Best piri piri chicken in town, great price. no idea what the one star reviews are talking about; staff are great and Ive been going to this shop for 6 years; not once had or even seen a problem. some people just like moaning for the sake of moaning, if you want a five star service with a butler and someone to fold your napkins for you; go to a restaurant.. this is a fast food shop, and an extremely busy one at that, how you expect people that are constantly on the move to take the time to meet greet and seat you is mad.
