Inventive & standard sushi rolls plus updated Chinese & Japanese dishes in a chic, loungey setting.
The sushi rolls are very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and homy.
Came in with a party of 8.was very rudly told they couldnt help us....plenty of tables were open and we told them we would wait around but noo.
This is a great cozy spot for dinner, the food is great and the service is excellent. Tucked away, great environment!
Highly recommend the 112 roll!
Get some House Sake and sushi and you’re good to go. Such a cute place! Try everything it’s so good!
Spectacular. Just spectacular! This place has made it for over a decade in uptown Charlotte, which has been a revolving door for restaurants. Its quaint, and no frills, except for the food and service. They just grind here. One of the best sushi spots Ive ever been to. Brandon, the manager, runs a tight ship.Go here!
Food tastes good and service can be a little faster as they have limited people working at the hour of pur visit.Had Katsu Chicken for Lunch. Liked the choice of options you can chose depending on your preference. Recommend this place and would have been a 5 star had the service been faster/better.
Place was absolutely awesome, I served sushi for a while and this was great sushi. Along with that we got garlic chicken and that was incredible, also super reasonable prices. Great place to eat while traveling.
Not very busy. Service was good. I like the rolls except for the fact that the tempura shrimp was cold.Highly recommend the 112 roll.
Favorite sushi spot in Charlotte. Great quality sushi at good prices. Restaurant is small but quaint. I would make reservations if joining for dinner
Good food for the price however the lights are still quite dusty.
Great food and quick service, not too pricy and comfortable seating.
First time here. I ordered 2 sushi rolls. Food was good and service was good. I’d like to try some other dishes… maybe next time.
Good food. Menu has some good selections and the food is flavorful and fresh. Big plus for deveined shrimp (sadly enough most places dont)!!!
Great little place for sushi. Had the sushi lover for 2 and it was amazing,!perfect size for that couple to share. Everything was delicious and nice variety. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be a regular spot to eat in trips to Charlotte.
A nice small out of the way sushi location in uptown. Its a nice, quiet, and clean getaway for lunch. The food here is very excellent and the sushi seems fresh. My only current grip is the way the tofu is done. A nice soft quick fry, tempura like is expected, however this came out almost katsu like in texture. While still good, it completely changes the palate.Pictured: Sushi Combo B (Eel maki and Mackerel), Fried Tofu, Volcano Salad.
Excellent collection of food, great ambiance and service. Moreover they custome made all our vegetarian orders. Extremely reasonable price. Could not have asked for anything else.
The food was so Goooooood. The restaurant is very small but very personable service was great.
Awesome hole in the wall for good Asian food. Had their garlic chicken and miso soup. Both were superb. Need to go back and try their sushi.
Tried this place out while in town with two coworkers. The place is dimly lit and has dark decor which adds to the intimate feeling of the space. I made a reservation, just in case it was busy but it wasnt that night. The service wasnt exactly friendly, but they did make sure our drinks were refilled in a timely manner. For appetizers we had the Gyoza and calamari, both were tasty. Then I chose the Pad See Ew for my entree and the taste was missing. The others ordered the short ribs and fried rice, which I tried and both of those were good. Worth a try!
This place is usually pretty good. But I got the just Pete sushi roll today and it tasted like they didn’t rinse off whatever top they prepared the roll on; dare I say, basically dish soap (dirty dish rag?). Spring rolls were good and so were the noodles. Also, the young lady up front was rude. I came to pick up my food and she shoved the bag towards me without saying a thing and barely looking up from her phone. I know everyone has bad days but MISS MA’AM????.. uncalled for.
This place should be called Room 9-1-1 because you will have to call an ambulance. Requested no mushrooms on my mixed veggies because Im deathly allergic and they still added mushrooms after I specifically said no mushrooms over 3 times when placing my order. Ill just stick with Soho Bistro.
Long wait time for a table, it was about twenty to thirty minutes during lunch around 12:45 on a Monday. There were 5-8 empty tables that needed to be cleaned off so I assume they’re understaffed because it took a while.I did notice about 15-20 to-go and delivery orders sitting on the counter so I figured this place must be good!It was very much worth the wait because the food came out quickly after we ordered and it tasted great! The waiter was as attentive as he could be during a busy lunch. They have a simple and easy to read menu with good portion sizes.I tried:Side of brown riceSpring rollPhiladelphia RollThey were all perfectly plated and I will be back to this place for sure. Maybe order for pick up during lunch though. Why only four stars?Because the rest of the employees were in their own worlds and not very welcoming. There are no waiting seats or areas and we had to just stand in a line in the hallway of the lobby for a long time. The restaurant is short staffed.
I actually like this place but I tried to just place an order to go tonight and they would not serve me. They said their kitchen is closed at 8:56pm yet online they dont close until 10pm... What place says we close at 10 but stop serving food at 9? Just close at 9 then!
Mediocre. Raw Scallops were kind of gross and it Definitely needs a deep clean in there too, Floors and Menus were sticky.
Dined here recently with my girlfriend, the food was tasty, and the service was wonderful! However, I should have never looked up... I could not get over how much dust it on the light fixtures above each table (not just the one we sat at). We still ate, really enjoyed our meal, and had a nice time. I should mention the score was a 94.5 so I was mostly happy with my experience. Just hope next time could be a bit less dusty.
Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere was very cozy and intimate. The restaurant is tucked away inside a building and kinda hidden so its pretty easy to miss however definitely worth looking for! The food was so delicious and the service was very quick.Everything tasted amazing and was served quickly. The decor inside was nice and the restaurant was not overly crowded.Everyone not eating was wearing a mask.I greatly appreciate the fact that the nori can be subbed for soy paper here. Looking forward to coming back!!
My favorite sushi spot in Charlotte! Love this place. PLEASEEEEEE make your Yaki Udon a menu item. I used to come just for it and now sadly you guys haven’t had it. It’s amazing. Recommend it to everyone.
I don’t like the staff they have hired. The sushi person literally had to push the woman out of the sushi area. She should not have been back there with her hair swinging around and not covered. She handled the register and everything else, she then handles food. I was turned off. We normally go during the afternoon. Going at night showed me something else. I’m starting to think they have a different owner now. Not sure that I will be returning. My recommendation would be to get more authentic employees. It’s not a burger joint.
Great food, great service, fair prices. Have had sushi world wide. Commercial from Nobu to Morimoto, and local holes in the wall. Very fresh, amazing sushi, highly recommend the lower Manhattan and soul of sensei sake pairing
I love Singapore noodle!! and theirs is the best in town. My mother had the beef&broccoli she loved it so much she ordered another to go. Cute place, great food.
Really great tasting cuisine and chill atmosphere. The manager/owner was extremely polite and respectful. We had a large party but was still served quickly and graciously. Thanks so much Room 112 for making our dining experience extremely pleasurable! You guys rock!
I have to give this restaurant a 5 star. I waited one hour for dinner at a restaurant down the street and was unsatisfied. I called room 112 20 minutes before closing(i was late by a few minutes and they waited on meand when i arrived my food was waiting hot and fresh! I had the tofu veggie Lo mein, which was a fantastic choice . I would definitely recommend this dish and restaurant.
Glad to have been able to eat here. It was game day, and everywhere else was unable to take a party of 5. Unfortunately, the service was very slow. It took 50 minutes to get our food. Im sure theyre understaffed. Who isnt?! Plus a larger party. But it was unfortunate. Food was okay, and nothing more. Hopefully things get a bit better for them--staffing wise!
As a person who has traveled abroad and the US, their menu choices seem quite varied and nice.Price points vary between reasonable $8-10 and pricey $30+ for the 🍣 deluxe for two.I ordered the oyster tempura and soft shelled crab to try. The crab is waaaay cheaper than in the Northeast, hopefully its as good though. Then the teriyaki from the grill, miso soup, and some pad thai. Will update after we get to eat. Wasnt posted online that Take Out only so have to go on an impromptu picnic at the benches outside since i already had my heart set on the sushi and heard they have good quality.Problem is, the tables inside are sticky. Even if take out, i expected the tables to be clean as we sit and wait for our orders.FOOD QUALITYSashimi slices were decent and looked kThe eel avocado sushi tasted really niceOyster tempura was GREAT! Good size and tasty, only negative is was supposed to have sweet chili sauce for it but only had tempura sauce. Still tastySoft shelf crab was kinda smaller than expected, but it was pretty good. Enough meat, not hard breading, and had some seaweed and fish eggs in the middleFrom the grill chicken was k. Portion was good and rice separate from the chicken and veggies so didnt look ewwPad Thai was for home, so thats another updateCovid CareEveryone had a mask, even the dude that seemed repairing things. Except the cashier had hers on her back and kept either rubbing her eye or face every so often. She was friendly and pagod attention to the orders and double checked (ourorder that a dude stapled close after he checked, well it seemed something was still missing from it.
This place has the best sushi in the city hands down. I have lived here 7 years and tried just about every sushi place worth mentioning in Charlotte. Room 112 is just better and very inexpensive considering the quality of their ingredients.
I was craving sushi and figured I would try this place. I ordered the Super Crunchy roll which was delicious. The restaurant was nice and clean. My order was to go but didnt take very long to getmy food. I would definitely revisit.
Quality of sushi is great really enjoyed it and I think will be back in the future if I want to stay in the city and not drive around.
Really good sushi spot! Good amount of table seating + bar seats. Friendly staff & quick service. Ordered the ‘Pink Floyd’ and it was amazing!
Loved it. They customized the menu for my vegetarian taste bud and it was really good.
Uptown Charlotte needs more places like this! Sometimes the food scene in uptown can be one of two extremes - it’s either fast food for work lunches or it’s your fine dining Ruth’s Chris. These both have their place but sometimes you just want restaurant with great food that will only cost you $15-$20 and you can wear a sweatshirt inside without judgement. You aren’t gonna be blown away but you don’t need to be with every meal you eat. Take a breath, enjoy life and come here!!
Some really good food, no complaints. Place is a bit small though, if youre planning a quick easy dine, might want to opt for a carry out (which they are prepared for better than most places during lunch rush)
Smallish serving on teriyaki plate, chicken was a bit dry and the vegetables were nearly non existent. Sushi was great.
Excellent food and service. I ordered a variety chefs pick with the 112 Deluxe. It was tasty, fresh, and fastly delivered to my table. The staff were friendly. Definitely satisfied my sushi craving. I would go here again.
My favorite sushi place in uptown Charlotte. They’re very affordable and super tasty! Their lunch sushi comes with a salad too! A combo of 2 sushi with salad for 10 bucks and the other meal on the photo is only 8 bucks! Pretty good deal. Fast service but could possibly wait if you come for lunch. Goes to show how good and affordable they are!
The food was delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good sushi!!
Been to this place few times during busy weekday lunch hours and still, these guys do their best to make you visit them again. Great food and prices. Little busy though😊
Disclaimer: almost all of my reviews are positive aside from this one.I was very disappointed in the service and dishonesty of the staff. I have eaten here many times for lunch and decided to try it for dinner. The food has always been "ok" for the price. This time we didnt get very far. The manager and waiter lied to our faces when we asked them a few questions about our food so we never made it past the appetizer (crab), sent our sushi back, and closed out.
Sushi was good but nothing over the top for the price. - the presentation was probably the best part. Our server was nearly impossible to hear but seemed to do a good job. Make sure to make a reservation because there is no waiting room.
Good food with decent service. It would be better if the environment is a bit more sophisticated. Overall, it is a decent place for Japanese cuisine with affordable price.
