Very quiet and secluded. Worth the visit though. Walked to the birdwatch. As we were about to leave the wild horses came walking up to the water. They were so quiet that we didnt even hear them. It was a beautiful sight

Such a private little gem, amazing views, will return to photograph wildlife and the horses.

Love to go walking here to do a bit of bird watching or to look for the wild horses.The wooden walkway needs a bit of attention in places, but its still pretty safe to walk on.Take a picnic basket and enjoy a quiet outing in nature.

Such a beautiful place to walk. Last time I was there with my grandparents we saw the wild horses. I love horses and I used to horse ride so I definitely loved it there

Fantastic outing with the boat.

Our cycle club rode out to the birdhide for a sundowner. What a special experience with the wild horses froliking in front of the hide, pelicans on the lagoon and the amazing sunset.

The wild horses is a sight to experience. Loved the moment when I encountered them. Amazing place to visit.

Great bird life. Wild horses a first for us. The 5km walk not well marked, and involves either bare foot slush or gum boots.

Wild horses and great for bird lovers.Don’t miss the turn off from R44 as the sign is right at the turning.Look for a sign that says HOPE FARM and follow the dirt road all way to lagoon.The walkway is Wheelchair accessible

Estuarine area recovering from Port Jackson infestation. (Needs a followup). Nice hide and birds.. terns, gulls, ibis, flamingo, heron, oystercatchers, egrets and a variety of estuarine waders. And wild horses!

I live across the lagune in Fisherhaven. There has been a camping party since early 31 December with music so loud I can hear it in my Bedroom. Ongoing now for 27 hours.

Wow, a gem in the outskirts of Kleinmond. The board walk is awesome and the wild horses a sight.to be seen. Great that we have these amazing attractions on our doorstep!

Dry season so there was no water, but the bird hide is very well kept and spacious. Looking forward to coming back when there’s some water.

What a gem. Well worth the visit. Not much birds, think it will be better during winter when the water ljne is higher. We did get to see the wild horses, and that was magical.

Relaxing atmosphere in nature.

A walk/run in beautiful nature. Well kept boardwalk and informative birdhide, to watch the birds from. And we had a spectacular variety of them to observe.

Horses are just to far away. Very few still left. Very nice to see the wild houses. Walkway is very good and well done

Lovely place. Unfortunately seemed slightly unmanaged as there were people with dogs and alien plants. But all in all very nice. A gem.

Clean n quiet shore n the views are spectacular.

The variety of waders was phenomenal. We saw Sandpipers, Greenshanks, 3 different Plovers, Sanderlings, Avocets , Sandpipers,Stilts and Greater flamingos, amongst others.Also a range of ducks & geese. A couple of Marsh Harriers, 3 Jackal buzzards and a black shouldered kite. Malachite & Orange-breasted sunbirds as well.

Feb 2019 Enjoyed the walk but did not choose a good time to visit. Water low not many birds

Great nature reserve very near Kleinmond...nice stoll to the bird hide. Just be careful to properly lock your vehicle and hide valuables from eyesight.

Beautiful place to get away from the city

Good spot for a drive and for bird watching. Lovely board walk along the Botrivier lagoon.

Great birdwatching from the shores of the estuary as well as from the well positioned bird hide. An easy walk to the hide. We even got to see the wild horses and our first ever Denhams Bustard.

Wonderful location, specifically for birdwatching! Just a pity it is clear that there is not maintenance taking place! The exotic invaders are taking over!!😢
