European vanguard for jazz and blues from world's top musicians, in basement club with late bar.
Iconic jazz club based in Soho. Open till late (3am), food is available, though not required. Booking is probably recommended.
Absolutely amazing great time. The energy in the room was well received. I had to reserve my space for the main show, thanks to my hotel for the booking. It was a miracle to even in get in...they stay booked for months. The hospitality was to my liking from the welcome to the goodbye. I had heard of this place from my Dr. and a friend in Paris. When you visit London you must put this place on your to do list. Especially if you love good jazz and blues.
Just the best place ever...great service, tremendous music and fab cocktails. An amazing experience not to be missed on a trip to London!
Such a beautiful environment, good service, great band. Has an amazing night
Great venue, staff are very attentive and helpful. Cocktails were a bit on the expensive side, but ultimately worth it. Sound was great, could hear the band clearly
Great music! The seats are comfy and it’s built so you can still see the stage if you’re on the side and in the back (kind of like risers). I got a great non-alcoholic mixed drink too.
This venue had been on my bucket list for so many years and it did not disappoint. We watched the main act (Georgie Famewho was amazing and then after that even the house band were superb. We would really like to send a shout out to the waitress that was serving us on the 9th of September. Her attention to detail was perfect, say thanks from us (booking name was Hulett).
Not sure what i can say that hasnt been said a thousand times. The sound here is fantastic and the performers very carefully selected. Well worth a visit.
Bucket list stuff. Simply one of my all time night spots in the world. Try the late late show for a more relaxed laid back jazz & cocktail experience. You’ll love it. Tell your friends.
Iconic music venue that occasionally has great acts. Interior is dated but well maintained. Very cramped space, you may find yourself unable to fit behind the side benches. Excellent and friendly staff struggle to cope between doors open and show and the food is good but overpriced for what youre getting. Overall, the venue seems greedy. Guessing the act you came to see will make it awesome regardless!
Ronnie Scotts is always a great place to spend he night. The clientele here are usually very respectful to each other and value the music highly. Staff always helpful and responsive. My only issue is the food, Ive eaten here three times and have made the mistake of forgetting the average standard of cooking. With all yhe options surrounding the venue Ill eat before I go next time.
Ronnie Scotts is a cool venue for those who want an intimate evening and enjoy talented musicians pop their arteries to give you a jazz filled few hours. Food is good enough if not your typical expensive london fare but serving chips in a basket would just not be fitting for this venue. Hard to sit somewhere without a good view, access wise dont worry about the stairs going in, they have a ramp bigger than a double bass and very helpful staff who keep you safe. If you fancy a romantic evening in fashionable soho then go to Ronnie Scotts.
We showed up late but the female door attendant was very kind & let us in after my niece explained I had come from the US having watched utube it was superb all i can say is thanks for the experience it was beyond expectations
Came here with a friendLine was long but the bouncer was kind to get us cutoff the lineOnly thing i would say they need to work on is that the menu needs an upgrade every things fried, could use better optionsThe music was great though they need a microphone on the piano adjusted there too
Went to Ian Shaw (26th august). Place is nice. Tickets frankly overpriced but clearly in high demand.Music was distinctly averageFood was distinctly average.Honestly. They’re trading on the brand and swerving everything else up to mediocre standards. Feels more like a commercial play than anything else.Wouldn’t go again. But probably was right to have been once.
Definitely the place to be if you like to see talent and love live jazz music. You can order light bits such as chips and drinks that are non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
It has been a dream of mine to come to England and go to ronnie Scotts, I came for the late show and stayed for a little bit of the late late show. The show was incredible I couldnt have asked for more. Aside from rare almost blue steak when asked for medium rare and the most bitter coffee Ive ever tried the rest kf the food was fabulous. I highly recommend salmon tatare. Ronnie Scotts definitely lives up to its expectation, I like to think of it as a loving museum. What a great night I had.
What a place, an authentic jazz club at the heart of London. An iconic place for jazz and blues fans. I had the chance to see Fred Wesley and his band. Great night.
Sticklers on door opening time, the queue got very long, fortunately it didnt rain! Once in, table assignment is deftly followed through but who gets what seems questionable. We were jammed into the tiered booths which have a bit of a seedy stalls feel about them and are very shallow, clearly designed for 100lb people. The menu is reasonably priced across the board and the beverage menu has something for everyone. We had eaten earlier and were glad to have done so, food orders took time to be taken and time to be served, we just ordered a dessert, in retrospect we should have just not bothered, a miserable little molten lava cake with ice-cream that was more ice than cream. The music was excellent though, if youre just there for the music, to his is always a good venue. If you we want a more elaborate night out, temper your expectations.
A mind-blowing performance by the one and only Joey De Francesco Trio! The venue is beautiful inside and no matter where you sit you get a great view of the stage. This place is very recommended for anybody who appreciates the art of jazz.Ill definitely be back. It was definitely one of the best experiences life has brought to me.
This place is amazing. I saw Marcus Miller one of the best bass players in the world. The waiters/waitresses look after you really well. Its worth the price of entrance we paid about 130.
Paid to go in upstairs. Was shown to our seats in a booth with some others, including a couple of drunk teens. There was a pianist on, placed in front of the bar who we couldnt even see as the back of the piano was in our faces. We sat for 20 minutes for table service before I had to go to the bar and ask why we werent getting served. He said I dont know Im not a waiter. I said can you tell one of them? He just looked at me and said no.I sat down and finally managed to get a waiters attention. He came over, we ordered drinks. He went away. We never saw him again. I went to the bar after half an hour and was told by someone else, who looked like hed lost the will to live, that they were short staffed. I said how come others have been served twice in all this time. Must be regulars? He just shrugged. So after more than 30 minutes we left. I complained to the woman at the door. She didnt seem interested. We went elsewhere and had a great time. This place really has changed over the years. Not what it was.
Ronnies is a premium music venue , it attracts great talent, its small, seated and you have a good view from anywhere in the venue. One real plus is that they dont allow you to use your phone during the gig to take pictures so theres no distraction from the person next to you recording the gig on his tablet...... I took a few stage photos before the concert, but youre there for the music, which could be blues, jazz or funk. I went to see Soft Machine (front row), but the Friday before it had been Billy Cobham, however you are just as likely to see young, up and coming musicians as well.(Soft Machine were gifted musicians who played some great instrumental music. Some of the members were from their 70s line up, I loved it! )The table service is good as is the steak and they have a good list of whiskies if youre so inclined. It does sell out, so its best to book online and you dont get a ticket, you go on the list which they check when you arrive and youre then taken to your table. Its rather old school and quite endearing! If you just want a taste, you can always go to Upstairs at Ronnies which still features new music and is usually easier to get in. To be honest, I havent been upstairs for decades, though, but I do have memories of having to lug a bass amp up those stairs! They were quite steep...Ronnies Scotts is an iconic venue and worth the trip. You should go!!
Awesome night out! Viva Cuba was incredible, reminiscent of a holiday in Cuba! Attentive staff and incredible drinks choice! Highly recommended for an alternative night out, friendly atmosphere and the dancing......wow!
I went to this venue for a concert, and honestly, it was one of the best concert I have ever been to. Big and clear sound. Beautiful acoustics. This place is so cozy and the drinks are great! Kudos to this place for being such cool and nice.
Amazing place, super cool!!The cocktails are amazing, you should try the Espresso Martin! The food is great too.Do book though as the que outside was crazy when we went and that was midweek.
Brilliant night here! We walked in quite late because everywhere else was closed, and was a really lovely end to our night. Superb atmosphere and attentive staff. The Jazz music was awesome and a round of drinks were pretty much in line with normal London prices.
Had a great night at Ronnie Scott’s, attended an early show, it was the place my father always dreamt of going and I guess I lived that dream for him.I was surprised at home intimate the place was, my perception was that it would have been bigger inside.Service was by and large on point. My 4 star rating is based around the inability to really cater for Coeliacs, there is this always arrogance that the higher the cost, the less you should be catered for.As a main course your only option if you cannot eat gluten is steak, I asked about other dishes that had no real reason to contain gluten other than laziness and the response was underwhelming. In the end I has to eat a starter and a side as a main, it’s really not difficult to create two gluten free dishes on a menu, that doesn’t mean you have to eat a starter, about 10% of the UK cannot eat gluten and places of the ilk of Ronnie Scott’s should be taking that on board.
Such a beautiful and friendly venue! Amazing shows, incredible music and atmosphere. The layout and decoration of the venue is incredible - one of the most lovely venues I’ve ever seen in London.Super helpful people who worked there, who went out of their way to help me when I’d bought the wrong time showing for a show.Really fast and helpful responses on their email. They answer the phones very quickly.Highly recommend!
Queue to get in was chaos. Bar staff are slow and over worked. But its still a great place to hear music. Prices have rocketed and will deter many.
Superb! I booked tickets for our group of 7 for my birthday celebrations and we were welcomed into the venue. The waitress looked after us and we were guided to seats, drink orders taken and danced the night away to funky jazz, blues and soul, a great atmosphere, everyone was very warm and friendly. It was excellent and a treat we will be hopefully repeating. A wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
This is an institution but no less special for that. Sunday lunch was great - reasonable pottions, washed down with great cocktails.Ronnies was packed but even so, staff managed to serve everyone quickly and correctly
It is a bucket list event for me. Wanted to go like for ever. It was as I imagined but bigger. Legendary. The food and service were second to none. The act was very good but maybe not musically to my taste. I am a huge Georgie Fame fan.
One of my favorite Jazz club in London. At this time , I saw the live at Upstairs. It was so amazing Jazz swing live. And all staffs were so friendly and it was really fun and exciting place to enjoy the real jazz 😊
Iconic venue in the heart of London’s Soho. Comfortable seating and good atmosphere to see/hear the entertainment with great food available.
Incredible atmosphere. Would highly recommend! Definitely worth the price.
Brilliant place. Great drinks.great food. Wonderful staff. Beautiful decor. Lovely atmosphere.
One of the most amazing clubs hosts magnificent bands that mezmerize you with astounding music. Service is great, staff friendly as can be! Loved every second of the show! Thanx everyone involved you really know how to give people one hell of a good time!
I enjoyed a great experience ever. Ronnies Scottss atmosphere was so fascinating. And cocktails were perfect. I highly recommend this cocktail which is called the Ronnies sours. 🍸Severs were very kind and todays performance of "Marquis Hill" was absolutely amazing 👏 I cant sleep tonight.
Saw the amazing Curtis Stiger, a great performer, singer & saxophonist. Had a wonderful evening at Ronnie Scotts. Great service, excellent menu and good and cocktails. A brilliant place for couples or group of friends as its a very intimate smaller venue which gives a really wonderful more personal service and connection to the music and artist performing. Ive been 4 times now and loved each time Ive been.
The most iconic venue in the world to watch Jazz. Didnt have food but the drinks are ridiculously expensive. Would mske more money if they were reasonably priced.
Amazing venue!!!!! Nicola Conte Spiritual Galaxy Band are fantastic. We had so much fun. The energy and vibe from the band and audience was great with a real flow between us. All the members of staff are lovely and attentive. Absolutely fantastic night!!!! Must go :)
Fabulous Sunday Lunch jazz venue. The food equalled the great music. Very professional and friendly service team. It all exceeded our expectations. Recommended 100%
Ronnie Scotts is absolutely fantastic. Great musicians, great staff, food is tasty and reasonably priced. Theres something for everyone and I just loved the vibe upstairs when I was there for Benoit Viellefon. Cant wait to come back very soon. Highly recommended for an evening out.
Fantastic live performance without a doubt! For someone who doesnt listen to much jazz, it was still enjoyable. However the venues nibbles and drinks fell short of expectations.
A MUST! If you’re in London you have to catch a gig at this Jazz Bar ! Wow I saw Reuben James and what a talent! The ambience and the drinks are so good! I didn’t have food but it looked so good will deffo have to come back and try!
Saw the sublime Vanessa Haynes here last night. She and her superb band were stellar!Having not been to Ronnie Scott’s before, we were not sure what to expect. The seating is different to other jazz clubs we’ve been to. The ‘standard’ seats are tiered long seats each sitting 4 people facing towards the stage. A ‘premium’ seat gets you a proper table with a good view. There is also ‘restricted view’ seating (there are 2 columns on one side of the club. Check out the seating plan on the website). We were very happy with our standard seats, despite arriving 10 minutes after the doors opened and being at the end of the queue! All in all a fabulous night of soul and jazz/funk.
We were very excited about Ronnie Scotts and had booked tickets for 4 people at 6pm. We queued at 5.45, doors didnt open til 6pm, and after a temperature check, was shown to our premier seats. Lovely spot, fab decor and atmosphere. Staff were very busy and didnt take our order for drinks and food for half an hour. Prosecco was over priced but we thought it was a special occasion so we splashed out. We ordered 2 courses which was lovely, despite not being able to see it due to the lights being dimmed as the band started at 7pm. Band were brilliant! They played until 7.45, then we were promptly told to pay our bill and leave so they could clean the club ready for the next house to arrive!! We thought we had until 10pm to finish our very expensive bottle of prosecco, meal and enjoy the ambiance!! So, if you dont mind paying £500 for 2 hours experience this is the place for you! The club should inform people of the time limit because we would not have ordered a 2 course meal!! Used and abused!!
A brilliant night of entertainment fantastic atmosphere grate music. Me and my daughter had a lovely time will go again worth the cost. Drinks are well over priced but thats what we expected. If you like live jazz go.
Absolutely INCREDIBLE!I adore jazz and am 100% coming back. A great night out and an even better place to celebrate a birthday! Ronnie Scotts has an extensive cocktail list and very friendly staff, we saw W3 Funk Sessions and cant wait to see them again!Cant recommend enough 🥰
