Overpriced food, taste and amount is less than expected.Bad service, we waited for almost an hour.
Came in for lunch on a weekday, it wasnt packed most of the guests were your typical well to do titas. The service was good and the decor is that modern upscale Cafe look. The food was good but not great. The entire menu is your typical modern Filipino Cafe food in Manila, nothing inspired.
Look for server Chris, he will treat you like a king. We love the pinaputok na tilapia, halo halo, lumpia
Food was ok, and nothing special. Ive tasted more delicious Filipino food in other restos.Staff were quite friendly, attentive, and responsive to our groups needs. They were quick on their feet and gave good suggestions on what to order.Ambience was homey, as it is a home converted to a resto. It had lots of historic photos of Carlos P. Romulo during his illustrious career.
Being born in the town where CPR lives, makes me feel comfortable to recommend Romulos Café as a dining pleasure for those who want a good food. Dinner was Great.
Great food, ambience, and customer service. The old photos of Carlos P. Romulo with various historical figures are a treat for history fans.
Excellent food. The service was reallt customer focused. I didnt have to call a waiter. The crispy pata is to die for. Right crispiness and absolutely juicy delicious meat. I could have finished it all by myself.
We were already at the restaurant only to be told that its for reservation and they can no longer accommodate us. You should have put that in your website to call first. Hirap pa naman ng parking nyo and yet you are not able to accommodate walk in diners.
The Food is Good and Delicious, pinoy Pride , service and place are good too.
Had our wedding here. It was not the most elegant of a ceremony but for a couple who had to endure the perils of coronavirus just to get married, this is the right venue for us. Just memorable.
Nice venue with historical vibe. The restaurant itself was classy but not overly decorated. The food was ok though nothing really stood out for me.
Good food and good event and meeting venue as well. We had the Pinoy nachos, ginataang kalabasa with sitaw and crablets, and crispy pork binagoongan. All were delicious and uniquely presented.
Interior looks and feels homey with tables set apart to establish distancing between guests. The place is conveniently located at the corner and is not so hard to find. Among the one way streets in the Scout area, this restaurant sits along a two-way road so getting there is not a problem. There is limited parking at the establishment but roadside parking within the vicinity is available. Food is good. Not too strong flavors on the kare-kare but good nonetheless. Overall, the place offers great ambiance and genuine Filipino taste—one that doesn’t scream of too much sodium.
ordered beef caldereta and baby squid..the taste nothin to rave about, theres better tasting beef caldereta and baby squid out there and much cheaper ..expensive menu..but the place is cozy and attentive staff
Great food will surely come backI like the baby squid with lots of garlic
We had an event here and the schedule is from 5pm to 9pm. We still have 1 hour left remaining but some waiters are already clearing the tables and other waiters are impatiently standing beside us. They even turned off the aircon while we are still inside, 30 minutes before the end time.
The place and food is superb. You get what you pay for.
The taste of home-cooked meals at its finest! Romulo Café offers the comfort of eat-in food at the dine-out setting. Even the restaurant gives a feel-at-home vibe where you can relax and spend some time-off.
Swift service, courteous & attentive waiters. Follows health & hygiene protocols. Pomelo salad together with Tinapa roll was very good combination! Hipon sa Gata with Kamias was perfect! Pancit Puti was so-so. However, Ginataang Chicken Adobo was salty. Monggo was watered-down thus it lacked flavour.
A cozy restaurant in the sulok sulok of scout area in QC. Food is yummy. The rellenong chicken is ❤!
One of the best filipino restaurant and a cozy homy place good for family dining.
Love the Filipino food and ambience!
One of our company directors treated us lunch at this place. As with the other restaurants in the area, the place used to be one of the big houses in the place. As such, it has a very relaxing and homey vibe.Street parking is available. We ordered sweet potato chips with nacho cheese as appetizer and it did a good job in preparing our appetites for the main course. For main course, we ordered the following: Boneless Crispy Pata, Chicken and Pork Adobo, Ginataang kalabasa with crablets, baby squid, ginataang manok, toasted noodles, and plain rice. The boneless crispy pata is served with fried eggplant and bagoong sauce, so it is supposed to be eaten "pork binagoongan" style, and it is very good as such. For those who want a traditional way of eating crispy pata, you can ask for vinegar from the service crew. Whatever way you eat it, their boneless crispy pata is good. The chicken and pork adobo is served with the sauce separated from the meat. For me this is good because it prevents the sauce from mixing with other food items on the plate. The diner can also adjust the strength of the adobo flavor by the amount of sauce placed on the meat. As with the crispy pata, this dish is also well prepared and very good. The ginataang kalabasa and sitaw with crablets is also very good. The veggies are fresh and crunchy (the sitawand the crablets are placed on top so that it will maintain its crunch. Also very good. The baby squid is fresh, and also very good.Their ginataang manok consist of boneless pieces of chicken with coconut creme sauce. Its my first time to try chicken cooked that way and I am surprised about how good it is.The toasted noodles is also very good. Considering the other items we ordered, I ate the viands with rice first, and then ate the noodles so that I can appreciate it on its own. The sauce of the noodle is perfect for the noodles and the toppings placed on it (Shitake mushroom, cauliflower). The plain rice we ordered is perfect for the viands we ordered, since some viands have sauce. The rice is cooked properly. After lunch, i had sansrival for dessert and it perfectly complemented the brewed coffee I ordered with it.Eating at Romulo Cafe is a very good experience and i am glad to have tried lunch at the place. I will definitely go back to the place but since I live in Mandaluyong, I might try its branch its Makati branch together with my family.
Our family dines here when we’re craving for modern Filipino dishes. Food and ambience are great! The only problem is the poor cell service in the area along with their lack of WiFi. 🤷🏻♀️
Reasonable price. Away from more crowded areas. Food was ok. Service was good. Nice place to celebrate with friends
This a traditional Filipino food with some minor twist from its original cooking that a lot of people will love and some will hate. The ambiance is typical Filipino home)house with a driveway entrance, typical Pinoy living and dining areas in different sections with a front open area. The choices are abundant from appetizers, meat, fish and seafood, vegetables and very good desserts.
Very pleasant and best place for events such as baptismal or birthdays
A very cozy place, great ambiance, comfy seats, great lighting and many more great sightings. Staffs are accommodating and courteous. Parking is quite limited, only few vehicles can park in front of it. Food is great, if youre finding great delightful Filipino cuisines, this is one of the great place to go. Highly recommended!
The most delicious Filipino dishes Ive ever tasted. Must try their chicken reneillo...their pako salad, baby pusit, lechon wrapped, and escargot are delicious. Churros is also nice. I went to their Quezons branch. Nice old house.
Food served are delectable. =D Nice and comfy place to take your family for a good dining experience. Staff are accommodating and the location is easy to find. If its not because we came early, i think parking would be a little problem, though you will be assisted by the corteous parking staff.
This is a very nice and quaint place to have lunch or dinner. This was dedicated to the first Filipino UN Secretary General, Carlos P. Romulo. It is hidden along the busy food and party district of Tomas Morato in Quezon City. The place is large enough to accommodate big groups. You cannot go wrong with their food either. Kare kare, Kaldereta and Fried hito are just some of their main fares. Dont forget to leave room for dessert and their fried suman sa latik is good as well. Definitely a gem!
The food was great. It was a great place for good Filipino cuisines. The ambiance was warm and promotes good conversation with your family and friends. Definitely a perfect place for an intimate reception for family and friends.
The place has a crisp and homey feel. Everything we ordered (from starters to dessertwere delightful! Their sinigang na bangus in guava, pako salad, ginataang kuhol, beef salpicao and Suman sa latik are awesome...I heard their humba is delicious but were not able to order it when we visited.. So definitely coming back to try that. It takes a while for the orders to come out but theyre so worth the wait.
Food is very good. I came home barely able to walk because to take another step meant to puke on the floor after having eaten that much good food here. I love that photos of former president Romulo were displayed on the walls here; that gives diners a glimpse into the life and travels of the man. I have a little complaint about cleanliness, though. The wood at the restroom had cracks and all that. But nonetheless, a very nice place to dine.
A private one :)Chic and historical restaurant. This is one of those ancestral iconic house turned into a beautiful resto with an upscale vibe. If this is your genre then this must be on your to go and eat list.Parking area is a bit of a challenge for they have few slots..Though you may opt to park somewhere nearby streets.. just make sure their guard can see it or i dont know..its better to be safe though the area is pretty fine.Food is mostly family filipino dish. Sinigang, hipon etc. And zerts are like any other cakes. Sorry but to me, the food and taste are not that different..Just that you get to dine in a beautiful place.
Good Filipino food accompanied with good ambiance. Boneless binagoongan crispy pata is a must try!
Classy, clean, good variety of food
Good food. Big servings. Perfect for family and friendly gatherings. They have VIP rooms you can reserve and with own private restroom. The outside area also have a good ambience, cozy and nice place to meet and socialize. Price is fair given the big servings.
Delicious food, easy to locate and good service. Especially their best seller, Kare-kare is the bomb! I highly recommend it. I could say 1500Php is good for 3 people. Good think Booky made it more price friendly.
Been here with a friend last year: The food and interiors are very good--- you will truly get what you paid for. Went here the second time around, this time with my family. The resto still delivered just like the last time I went there, its just that the place was crowded during our visit. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and others.*didnt took many pictures as we were really hungry. Took some shots of the place for viewing.
Good food, friendly service and nice atmosphere.
Romulo Cafe is our go-to restaurant whenever there are big family dinners on special occasions. They have recently expanded so there are more tables that can accommodate big groups, though I suggest calling ahead to reserve a table. The food served here are yummy classic Filipino dishes. Try the deep-fried tilapia with three different condiments/sauces, seafood kare-kare, and baby pusit in garlic. Based on experience, the service here has varied. Sometimes they serve the food on time and sometimes its slow. Sometimes the servers are friendly, sometimes not.
Great food. Filipino cook is great at this... all Filipino dishes are tasty; Ive been here more than once that should tell you something. Service still a little on the B grade. Enjoy.
