DA Big Moco might be the most amazing thing I’ve ever eaten

My husband and I stopped in for our first breakfast on the island. The doors were still locked when we arrived (island time is definitely a thingand my husband suggested we go somewhere else but I was really excited about the strawberry pancakes I saw on their menu. Standing outside you could smell the garlic fried rice they were making.Sadly when we went in we were told that they were out of all fruit that day so no strawberry or banana pancakes. My husband had Da Big Moco and I had eggs and ham, both with the fried rice. He loved his and we both agreed that the fried rice was some of the best weve ever had.

Great breakfast, at great prices. We easily split one order between two people.

Ono plate is a fantastic sampler of everything they specialize in. Fish and chips were also really tasty.

Food was ok. Very small location with limited seating to dine in.

Rolands Breakfast used so much garlic that it dominated the flavor of everything else. This was our first time there so I might change my rating the next time we go.

Would have gave them 5 stars, but they ran out of SPAM and longanisa( sweet & savory sausage.)This is Hawaii!!! You dont run out of SPAM!LOL!But honestly, food is really hearty and tasty.True Hawaiian Comfort Food.

Fish and chips were fantastic. The sriracha batter and pineapple aioli were delectable.

Loco Moco was huge! I got the regular size. You could get half and still leave full.

Best-of Home Cooking! Would travel for!! Really friendly and quick staff!

This is one of our favorite restaurant in Lihue, Kauai. Everything is good and I mean everything. My wife loves the deep fried pork belly.The plates are big and you will be satisfied.Its by Lihue airport so you can order to go, eat in the airplane and make everybodies mouth water. Lol.

This place is great for breakfast. Visited in 2018 and again August 22 2019. They are reasonable and friendly to the tourist on the island. We ate there 3 times out of 7 days. The food was good and hearty. I would recommend this little gem. Kauai doesnt have as good of our as many places as the other islands so this is an awesome find. I assure you that you cant go wrong in eating here. It is a local joint but thats really how you know its good. I plan on going there when I visit the island again. Its on my list of places because I found it difficult to find affordable food choices that were good and this was one of them.

Food was great, especially for an over the counter service. The Ono Plate was awesome and the burgers were out of this world. Great spot for good cheap eats!!

Great little place to grab a quick breakfast or lunch on the way south island beaches. Nothing fancy, just good home cooking at a reasonable price. I recommend the garden omlett or the French toast. Friendly service.

Loco Moco! One of my favorite things, its delicious and comes with some pork on top! Huge portions and the price is just right! Definitely a must stop! Right next to the old theatre on the highway!

Great local food! Was craving a good plate lunch and this is it! Huge portions! My husband ordered a burger that had to be a whole pound of beef! Try the yum yum fries- you wont be disappointed! Chop chop salad is nice for a lighter lunch. Cant wait to come back and try more! Dont miss the turn - its easy to miss but you cant afford to miss it!

The food here is really good. I loved the pork belly dish here. It was crispy and not too oily or fatty. Their loco moco seems delicious and their strawberry pancakes too. Will totally come here again.

I came here for lunch based on good reviews and ordered the Big Moco. That is an upscaled dish from the popular Loco Moco. This was very tasty and so big that I just needed a small dinner later. I hope to come back again before I leave.

New restaurant in heart of Lihue town. Long time local island chefs creating beautiful mixed ethnic plates ranging from Filipino and local cuisine. Our familys new attraction to food.

Great place for Hawaii breakfast. Not fancy or upscale - just good place for good food. We tried ham and cheese omelette and Big Maco (on picture ).

On our way to LIH airport and stopped by enroute. I had the mini moco loco ($5.00!!!!and partner had the banana pancakes. We were both in heaven. I am a hearty eater and the mini loco moco was perfect for breakfast and the three huge, fluffy pancakes were filled with bananas. Great staff, great service. Would be a regular if I only lived on Kauai. Sadly will have to wait until next visit!

Rolands breakfast was delicious! The garlic fried rice, sausage, and crispy pork belly topped with an over easy egg made a wonderful combo.

Super delicious dishes. A must try for breakfast, the food is great and the staff was awesome. She was really helpful in recommending things and I would have to say that I didnt regret asking her. She did great! Everything we got was delicious. The place is really local and really clean. Not to touristy and not a advertisement outside. Definitely a local spot as that pretty much all we saw eating inside when we went around 8:30am. The food came out hot and yummy! Thank you Rolands Mix Plate for a great experience!
