Roko's Restaurant - Restaurant in Apia, Samoa
Hard to eat with your fingers!!! No forks, knives.....Ordered med. well, got very well done. Green beans need to be steamed at least a little bit. Portion great. Lovely cold mushroom gravy. $60. ??? Sorry, no.
Great location...just down the road. Great improvement in upgrade...love the atmosphere.
Una cena muy rica. Todo muy bueno y un servicio excelente
Lobsters were nice!
Great staff. Great food. Worth your tala! Spacious and you get a great scenery of Samoa’s much greenery on the mountains. Breezy and comfortable.
This is our second visit to Rokos, last time was a year ago when we were last in Samoa. We arrived at 7pm to watch several staff setting up tables for a group, and a few tables on the side. A bit confused as to why they wouldnt have done this at 4 or 5pm, but we waited (around 10minsfor them to have a table ready to seat us - almost no other customers present, they are not busy serving anyone. Friendly waitress. We order bruschetta and Thai spring rolls to share (after being told the oka, poke and sashimi were not available), which were both tasty - 7/10. The coconut cocktails we ordered were a little small, but good - 7/10.I ordered the Surf n Turf - bad idea.NZ ribeye steak (ordered medium rare), with prawns, green peppercorn sauce, baked potato, steamed vegetables - WST 75.I am served one of the worst restaurant meals Ive ever experienced - reheat baked potato (dry), sauce not available so have to choose another which came out as a literal cup of melted butter, small portion of steamed veges, undersize (not 300g!and well overcooked steak - completely forgot the prawns so have to wait another 15 mins. Unhappy with every part of the dish, I decided to take it back to kitchen and politely said no thanks (never done this in my life). They came to table and said they wanted to make another one, I said no thank you, they insisted (the chef really wants to rectify), I said no its ok but thanks, they insist further and finally I reluctantly agree. Wait at least another 25 mins to receive the replacement dish, which was equally terrible - a thinner steak (now undercooked), another dry baked potato, prawns in cup of melted butter. After a few bites I refused to eat it, and left soon after.Really disappointed that after 2hrs at the restaurant and now after 9pm, I still havent eaten a meal - I go back to hotel and decide to try my luck ordering a NZ sirloin steak with.... baked potato and salad.A little anxious, but within 15-20mins, out came the most intense sizzling steak I can remember being served - tasty, right portion, moist baked potato, delicious salad, at only WST 50. Go figure! My friends found their meals ok - 6/10.Whats annoying is that they pressured me to give them a second shot after I said no, twice. Fixing their mistake is for their benefit - not mine. I then had to wait to receive another bad meal, and finally they let us pay for it.Friendly service is not enough - the food must match the price. I hope this message gets through. We will not be back to Rokos, there are several other great options in Apia serving similar menu - no need to try our luck here again.
Good food
Well executed meals. A combo of Samoan and western fusion. Wide open area in a surprising setting above the tree canopy with some views of the city and ocean, not obvious from the front of the building.Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Good for a romantic evening or large groups.
Ottimo cibo ottima visuale sulla foresta al quanto magico, prezzi nella media e personale molto preparato, da provare assolutamente consigliatissimo top
Great food and staff would recommend 👍
The fish and chips were great. Thr natural setting is very nice. The rice was quite dry.
Disappointed with the meal. Rubbery steak that should have been an eye fillet.
Delicious food, beautiful setting and atmosphere. Food was quick to come out. Our waiter was top notch. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a great night Rokos!
Great food with great staff. I will definitly recommand this place!
Delicious food in a gorgeous setting with amazing cocktails and a fantastic waiter. Perfect end to a perfect day. Highly recommend.
A hidden gem! Very good food and reasonable price!! Fast service. Will definitely come back again!
Fantastic food. Great service. Mark is the man!
Fantastic hospitality and food with a great view. Definitely recommend for all to try.
Best Rawfish dish on the island. Sometimes they dont have whats on the menu in stock.
Beautiful views from their deck. Service was good, as were the food and drinks.
Best menu in Apia- excellent service - try the oka.
This evening was really amazing. Exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Rokos. We will certainly be recommending you to other people :)
Best meal in Apia. Great view, AAA quality food, this place is a must, and still reasonably priced. Defo recommend.
Very good food and nice views
Great meals and serviceWe visited on our last night in Samoa, had a section of the deck pretty much to ourselves, played cards while we waited for our meals. Service was quick and friendly and there were no problems with the requests by our picky eaters. I have the Chicken Lupele which was gorgeous. Id definitely go again.
Nice view if on deck looking West over valley & sunset. Food is great & reasonable prices. Bar selection is ok.
The deck area is nice place to sit in, we had a prawn entree that was good but I did not like the mains of tuna.
Frozen seafood extremely greasy. Tasteless risotto. Overpriced. Not recommended.
Food 5/5, had pasta marinara and oka. Good price here, if in apia must try this place.
Excellent tuna with mash and fruit
Good food. Theres a nice vegetarian menu available. Beautiful back deck to sit out on.
