Rogue Bistro in Brisbane

We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time last weekend and it was a real treat!Service was really great from the front door and all throughout our meal. I do love the fact that they explain what we’re eating - that was a nice touch.Kingfish, pork belly, spanner crab, and smoked butter were the best highlights for us! So flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth worthy.There was the option to add caviar to the spanner crab which we totally intended on asking for but we got sidetracked ordering wine with our server - would have been nice to been asked if we wanted to add it on but not a huge deal breaker :)The pet-nat was gorgeous and we appreciate our server making sure it was suited to our tastes. We were really looking forward to ordering their chai cocktail as seen on their drinks menu on the website but didn’t seem to be available on the night.Overall, really great night and we came out perfectly fed! ☺️

Service was the highlight here, so friendly and welcoming. A great ambience to the venue as well. A few of the dishes were excellent, but the rest were just ‘pretty good’. Not too bad overall for the price.Highlight was definitely the Spanner Crab snack and the Kingfish Tataki.

Hands down Brisbanes best dining experience! With Bree being Brisbanes best waitress.From the presentation of the dishes, the ingredient and flavour combinations, to the dish size of each course - everything is exquisitely done.I love that the menu changes monthly. The atmosphere also cant be beat. See you next month!

The pork belly is properly cooked and seasoned.also I love the duck with all the fresh Ingredients and vegetables. I will definitely come back to try the menu of different months.

Great staff and exquisite dining experience. Rogue bistro introduces great combinations of flavours and generous seasoning on all their dishes which will leave you coming back for more. A great attention to detail is given to every dish and every drink which I witnessed firsthand. A truly unforgettable meal!

My husband I went for dinner to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. Very ambient space with dim, cosy lighting and the food was phenomenal! The wait staff were lovely and informative. The cocktails and wine were great. Highly recommend.

Great service and the food was ok. Well presented and very prompt but the meals didn’t hit the spot with flavour or the portion size. The waiter was very interested in honest opinions of the meals and they even offered to cook one of the meals again to improve.

Our group had a wonderful experience with the well judged degustation menu keeping our taste buds well engaged. The menu caters exceptionally well for people with food intolerances

If i could, I would rate this a 10/5 as my partner and I had the best meals of our lives at this fantastic fine dining restaurant. We 100% hands down will be going back for another evening or 3 or 10. We especially loved the adjusted menu options for allergens and the wine pairings were wonderful and some of the best wines weve ever had.

Really delicious food and friendly staff, and a wonderful ambience. This was the second time we have been and we will be back again! So many menu choices to suit all dietary requirements! Great for special occasions

My partner and I have to Rogue twice. The service is exceptional with friendly staff who are willing to step you through the menu and actually know and love what they are serving you.Can also confirm I have audibly said loudly “Oh get f*cked” upon the first bite of at least 4 of their dishes on their set menu.It’s just that good.

Amazing food and exceptional service. I will be going back as often as I can. The food is well priced too compared to so many other degustation meals.

We gave this restaurant 3 stars due to the overall experience. Choosing this restaurant based on reviews we can only think that we were there on the wrong night. As we couldn’t get in on a Saturday night we opted for Sunday. We booked for 7.45 so not late. We had cocktails to start & then our first part of the meal arrived. We were served our entree not long after. By the time our first main the duck was served the kitchen was already packing up. Most other diners had already left upstairs where we were seated. We then had to watch staff washing dishes, listen to the clatter of cutlery being dried & put away, see the downsizing of the kitchen through the dining room, plastic tubs being transported to storage through the dining room & lots of cleaning up noise. It was totally disruptive to our intimate dining experience. The duck was served at below room temperature. We were told because it’s more of a salad. The Venison we could clearly see already plated well before being served. It was delivered to the table with over piping hot potatoes & warm Venison. All the while the cleaning up was going on around us. We felt we had become an inconvenience & as we thought & had read was supposed to be a overall exceptional dining experience, wasn’t. To be fair the service from Jasmine was exceptional. She was, friendly, professional, attentive & apologetic. It was the overall experience & some of the food that let us down. Understanding it’s the end of a long week for staff. It’s still no excuse to pack down a restaurant around clients at any stage until they have left. We were offered a table downstairs to have dessert so we wouldn’t have to endure any more disruptions. To have to move tables half way through a meal so staff can clean up, with a $350 bill is unacceptable. My recommendation would be don’t make bookings upstairs on a Sunday. With a further note, we had the matching wines, with a disappointing end to discover the dessert wine matched with dessert (my favourite part of the meal was deliciouswas actually a digestif, not a delicious sticky to compliment the dessert but a bitter drink more suited to after dinner. We couldn’t drink it & on top of the $100 wine pairing, had to order a suitable matched dessert wine & pay extra, that we did enjoy. We do appreciate that Rogue does have top stars & good reviews. That’s why we were so excited to be dining there. Unfortunately our experience was less than expected & lacked finesse & love on the plate from the kitchen.

This dining experience is one for the ages and not to be missed. A sublime food extravaganza equally matched by impeccable service and restaurant atmosphere that oozes a moodiness befitting of some of the cleverest food Ive eaten in recent times.

If there was a sixth star to give, I would. My husband and I have been to Rogue 10+ times for their degustation menu, and we have never once left with a feeling of "that was pretty good". Every experience has been unparalleled and blows our expectations out of the water.Rogue is our benchmark for dining out, and we struggle to justify spending similar money at other restaurants for pretty good food. Rogue has flawless customer service, immaculate food and a beautiful, dimly lit venue that gives you a sense of privacy at every table - With a bonus of ample, free street parking.From start to finish, dining at Rogue feels like its worth a whole lot more than the price per head. I highly recommend the paired wine menu too, it really elevates the whole meal, again, the value is outstanding for what it is.Treat yourself.

My partner and I went to Rogue Bistro for his birthday last night, and oh my goodness, I think this has been the best restaurant we have been to in Brisbane to date.The service was impeccable, and every course delicious. Some of the dishes I was sceptical about (e.g with aniseedbut everything was well balanced and a pleasure to eat! We will definitely be adding this to the list of our favourite restaurants and will be back very soon. Thanks Rogue Bistro!

We had the most amazing experience for my mums birthday at Rogue Bistro. We booked the restaurant through their website and they really catered to our dietary requirements. The food was amazing and delicious! Its the first time having such delicious food so finely crafted and delicate. The flavours were well balanced and you really do get a bit of everything. I was extremely please with the meal and and we had a fabulous time there. The staff members were also incredibly welcoming and friendly. I cant wait to go back to try their other menus.

Rogue. Must book!This place can’t go wrong. Satisfying degustation menus for everyone (meat lover, vegetarian, GF etc).There are many things that make this place wonderful. One fundamental thing is that the seasoning and portion are just spot on.Book for special occasions.

Our dining experience was faultless at Rogue. Perfectly blended cocktails enjoyed whilst waiting to be seated, thoughtfully balanced menu of flavour profiles, textures and presentation as well as considerate and attentive service. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday evening.

Just returning back to my review after now 3 degustation visits to say that Rogue is my favourite dining experience in Brisbane. Thank you to the chefs and waitstaff for time and time again making it an unforgettable experience.Rogue has quite possibly the best degustation menu in Brisbane (they also don’t charge an arm and leg). Incredibly unique courses, beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff. These photos were from my visit last September.

Amazing experience at Rogue Bistro. The entrees were absolutely delicious my favourite was the cauliflower it had a beautiful combination of flavours. For mains we had roast duck, roast pork belly and squid - again all of the dishes were amazing our favourite was the pork belly it had great texture combined with great flavours.To top it off our waiter Sam was absolutely superb, he provided some great banter and was very knowledgeable with the food and wine menu throughout the evening.To conclude, during our time in Queensland Rogue was the best restaurant we dined in. Definitely recommend the pairing wines to complement the food!

Never had these kinds of quality food before, that I have never seen and heard.I love not only the atmosphere but also food and their staffs.Looks like they change their banquet menu every month. I am definitely going to this restaurant once every month to try new menu.I can not point out only one best menu there. I loved all the menu i had.

Ive been to rogue bistro twice now, and both times have been exceptional. They have an interesting and very flexible menu that caters to a wide variety of different dietary requirements without compromising on quality or creativity.This is honestly such a good value degustation, if you havent been - just go!

There are not enough stars. Constantly updated and clever menu. Your meal wont be these dishes, but itll be equally amazing.

Great experience. I think the service is why I thought this place went from great to excellent. They should also be commended for their range of dietary menus. This is such a great asset and puts them well above their competitors.

Delicious! My favourite month so far. The snacks are delightful, and the pasta is heaven. I really enjoyed the Wagyu and pavlova also. Definitely try and make it here before the end of October.

We had dinner here for our anniversary. The atmosphere was good, service was good, all the staff were nice.The warm cocktail brew my mind, it was the best one I have had.Food taste really good, plating was beautiful. the prawn and pasta was a little salty and the strawberry meringue dessert was a bit too sweet to be honest, I wish it had a little sour element to it.Over all, we were very happy, and we had a very good celebration night.Would love to come back for different menu.

I have been dining at Rogue three (ishtimes a year since July 2015 and the menu just keeps getting better and better! Being a part of Rogue’s evolution has been the BEST “foodie” experience!

A great date night at Rouge Bistro, enjoyable food and really awesome staff. They have different menu every month, we can’t wait to visit again for more flavoursome dishes!

Second visit. This visit was an exceptional Vegan degustation. All dishes were very clever and fun to eat. BUT a big shout out to the gorgeous waiter who got a meal change for us (without us askingbecause my husband mentioned a food allergy. Our first experience was good, but this visit was flawless.

What can I say! Amazing degustation menu! Never disappoints ! I’ve been here twice and it’s been amazing both times. Very good service 10/10 and the food ! Just wow !! The staff noticed I really enjoyed the entree bread and spread so he offered us more! Now that’s what I call going the extra mile! Thanks again and it was a wonderful experience ! Overall, very happy with the dining experience at Rogue Bistro. Welcoming and friendly staff. Busy Saturday service, but staffs were prompted and attentive.Reasonably priced degustation menu, which cater all dietary requirements. Perfect amount of foods. Relatively cheap wine pairing. I’m happy with the quality of the food.The only complaint I have was the food was a bit salty to my taste.Have already had a booking for next month with a different menu.

If you want something a bit different, Rogue Bistro is certainly worth a go. Really pleasant, easy experience. No bother ordering, you just have the degustation menu. They will adjust for all sorts of dietary requirements. Attentive service without being over the top. Interesting flavours and textures you probably wont get elsewhere. The cauliflower soup and short rib were real standouts. We has a selection of their wines by the glass, which were all great. The cocktails we had were excellent - can recommend the margarita, gin and tonic and espresso martini. Kyla was our waitress and she was funny, attentive and readily chatted to us about the food. A must if you want to have a unique, tasty and fun time.

Rogue Bistro is one of the places I frequent the most and every time it never fails to deliver beautiful and well balanced food. My go-to for special occasions, or even just for a date night. The waiters are lovely and they are so knowledgeable on every single component of each dish. Love that they use Australian natives as well!

One of my favourite restaurants in Brisbane hands down. Beautiful moody lighting, perfect for a special occasion or a date. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, service is welcoming and accommodating. Well presented waitstaff know the monthly menus and optional wine pairings back to front. Dietary requirements can be noted when booking and the $85pp degustation has never missed the mark, with optional wine pairing is around $45pp.Between deliciously well prepared plates, grear wines the intimate and inviting atmosphere. Rogue is worth adding to your list. Meals are great with a cocktail if youre not a wine person.Rogue is absolutely not suitable for children. This restaurant is delightfully child-free

Amazing food and service. Not a "cheap eats" venue but excellent value for such high quality. New menu monthly and definitely worth coming back.

Loved it. We have been here several times. Always a high standard that never falters. The venue is clean, well presented and although all tables were taken, you never felt crowded. The service is outstanding! Our waiter, Sam, had served on several occasions at Rogue..... Fantastic, funny, genuinely cared for our thoughts on each dish.

My fiancée and I visited Rogue Bistro for our anniversary this evening and had an amazing 6 course dinner. We chose the paired wine menu and thought they really nailed the pairings as well as the food. The 6 courses flowed well and were all delicious, there is nothing I would change with any of them. Our waiter was extremely attentive, happy and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back to this restaurant again in the future.

Great restaurant in Newstead. Had the degustation menu with matching wines.Firstly, the food that formed part of the degustation menu was all very good. My favourite meals were the salmon tataki and the lychee granita with dragonfruit and lime sorbet, both of which were exceptional.Secondly, the matched wines were all really good and matched exceptionally well with the food. My favourites were the Ye-Ye Rouge Western Australian red and the French rosè cremant.Finally, the staff are friendly and efficient. This restaurant comes recommended.

The tantalising flavours at Rogue bistro can be surpassed only by the warmth of their staff. The dishes all boasted deep consideration and daring creativity. The plates all presented an outstanding calibre of design. Our only trouble was the indecision caused by a magnificent menu.

Nice and relaxing date night out.Its definitely not your usual dinner, and it does come off as a bit pricey. But what you pay for is great service and a enjoyable experience with tasty food.The tartare was sensational, and I really enjoyed my gnocchi. Little crispy but very tasty with the truffle. Just a nice time out somewhere different.Desserts are always worth it
