Roe Outfitters - Tourist attraction in Klamath Falls, United States
I took an out-of-town guest to Crater Lake Zipline and she loved it. In the afternoon we rented paddle boards from Roe outfitters. They drove the paddle boards down to the dock at Rocky Point. When we were done we gave them a quick call and they popped on down to pick up the paddleboard’s for us. very convenient. Was a beautiful day all the way around.
We went kayaking yesterday with ROE Outfitters. My friend had never been before and was a little scared. The guides had a great many tips and fun stories. There was another family in our group with rowdy daughter who kept "accidentally" falling out of her kayak. They handled well. By the time we got back in the van, after two hours of paddling my friend felt like a pro. This tour is for familys and novice paddlers. Well Done!
Edited upon time reflection. Hes a good guy...a bit expensive of a "float" trip. Paid a lot for a "day"...got around 7 to 8 hours. Im spoiled by Montana guide trips where its a "full" day on the water i.e. on by 7:00 AM off around 8 pm .Montana guides provide a shore lunched of bar b que salmon etc not a home made bologna sandwhich served while still floating. Darren , while knowledgeable, was at times gruff almost talking down to us like inexperienced at fishing. out of the water by 5:PM after "floating approximately 5 to 6 miles? I still havent recieved promised hat lol.......Will try someplace different next trip
This is in no way a local experience. Charges as much as possible for the bare minimum using untrained employees. Next time I will support a true local business who values a great experience.
Amazing people
I hope we will have a good hunt
Had a fun time a couple years ago but have taken other fishing guides since that are better and a fraction of the cost. Haven’t been with any other fishing guide that makes you pay for all of the equipment and every fly that gets tied onto your tippet. That was a little suspect now that I’ve been on quite a few guided trips.
I look on their website for their hours and only then do I drive over. Repeatedly. But silly me - theyre not open when the website says, "Open". Other times the OPEN sign is lit and theyre closed. What.. I need to call first? Now thats great customer service model? Do I need to call them to complain about the poor service just to be able to patronize the business? No thanks!I realize theyre focused almost totally on their zip line business now, so I guess that this part of the business is not important enough to manage well. Hope they do a better job of running that business after not supporting this one.Karma is a powerful thing, folks. How can I buy flies, tackle, clothing from them when theyre not there to sell it?Upset? Yes. Terrible treatment. Forget about my ever scheduling an adventure outing with these guys.Go anywhere else. Support local businesses that care about their customers.
Booked a kayaking session with Roe Outfitters a while back. They privided everything needed for the trip. They drove us a good half hour or more to further up on Klamath Lake. The guide explained kayaking to all 15ish of us (there were several groups). We entered the water surrounded by butterflies and reeds. Kayaking fairly independently in a stretched out group we spent around 2 hrs on the water. It was a great tour. Only complaint was the guides attitude. He made negative comments about other states and places which bothered me since I travel and see so many different people and places. He was friendly but his comments were inappropriate. Otherwise, it was beautiful and I definitely recommend it.
