Rody's Tavern in Greensboro

Had a table of 8 and the waitress Tabitha was the best we have ever had at any restaurant. The food was great.Had the California salad and my friend and my daughter had ribs. Thanks Tabitha for making our birthday party special!

Date night with the wife. We love the drinks and the wings! I also have had nothing thats bad on the menu!

Food was amazing! We got the Salmon salad, wings (rub was amazing), spring rolls and a burger. I could eat those wings all day. Went on a Sunday around 11:20am and didnt have a wait but when we left at 12:30pm it was stacked. Arrive early if you dont want to wait. Service was exceptional.

Removed my previous post because they have reopened. Do not want a negative review to hurt their chance of doing well.Hope this time around is successful for Rodys.

Best Baby Back Ribs!!!We were used to exceptional ribs (Zebs in Colorado Springs and Flanigans in Fort Lauderdale). So, we were looking forward to trying them at Rodys. We were not disappointed.The ribs were winners!! Served warm, tangy and meaty. The side salad was a surprise. I am used to seeing a handful of (mostlygreen leaves thrown on a plate or in a bowl with a glop of dressing. The salad here was attractively arranged, very fresh and the dressing was very tasty. The fries were also delightful.Rodys is one of our two favorite dining establishments in Greensboro. They obviously take pride in the food they serve... almost like it is a calling rather than an occupation.

Tabatha was the BEST server we could have ever asked for on our Thursday night football!!! She was so fun, efficient, receptive and on her game the entire time. Highly recommend her for everyone!!!! Shes the best!!!

Last time we were there (May, 2022), we couldnt get anyone to serve table or acknowledge we were there....left without water, menus, or food after 15 minutes.

This was a great restaurant with great staff and amazing food. My husband and I just found this place and loved going there for our date nights for the last few months. Unfortunately we have been told that it is now closed I hope that that is not the case because it was really a gem of a place

In my opinion this establishment do NOT value customers. Anthony the manager terrible customer service PURE hot head very unpleasant as well as unprofessional. Definitely leading by example as you can tell from some terrible front staff members

Foods great, just dont bring your dog. We arrived with our two pups and requested to sit outside because we had dogs. They agreed and sat us, after ordering they requested we hook up our dogs outside the fence in the sun because dogs werent allowed on premise.

Good food and even better service! My hubby ordered a steak and cheese which came on a pita but it was melt in your mouth good! The atmosphere is very good. It looks like they get pretty busy so be prepared if you come during peak times. The owner even stopped by our table and thanked us for our business.

We were disappointed in our service today. This was not the first time receiving bad service but we tried again because we do like the food. Today we placed a large to go pick up order. We ordered at 12:10pm and would told it would be 20-25 minutes. Upon arriving, I could see they were busy and that was fine because I placed our order early in anticipation of that. But after waiting for more than 50 minutes total to get our food, I was a bit frustrated as this was for a staff lunch and we only have a certain amount of time allotted. When the order was finally brought up I asked about our drinks that should have been with it. The waitress looked at me and said that wasnt her job to handle that and walked away. The girl who was on the front end was by herself- answering phones, seating people and now apparently in charge of fixing drinks, so I hold no blame to her, but once she was able to get the drinks they were all only half full and there was no container to hold them. Once getting back to our office we discovered than an entire order was missing. Mind you its a good 10 minute drive there and same back. I called them and asked to speak to the manager. He was very short, not apologetic and basically I was told Oh we will fix that order and come get it. I did try and express the extra longer wait, rudeness of his staff, and due to their mistake cost of having to drive back (gas being $5 a gallon now). I go to pick up food and once there asked to speak to the manager but was told he was too busy to talk to people and to just wait for my food. I said no I really would like to speak to the manager, finally he did appear. I do not feel like his response or the service was handled correctly at all! We love the food there but the service has left us where we will not return and do not advise others to place take out orders due to lack of consistency in orders being correct and then rudeness of the staff.

I had the pleasure of going to Rodys a couple days ago. I would say the food was mediocre but my waitress Allura was fantastic. She was the difference in my evening being a complete bust. If you go perhaps you will have the pleasure of Allura being your waitress..

Love coming to Rodys, atmospheres great, service is great! The last time weve eaten there the food just hasnt been good in fact its plain and the fries are awful, to greasy and mushy or soft. Southwestern Spring Rolls are amazing and my fav!

First time having a bad experience, it’s Resturant refused to change out my wings, because I wanted something different!! I will never come back here again. The owner is trash, this is not good customer service.

This is a fancy, first rate sports bar with a relaxed casual vibe. Excellent food and cocktails but the key is the friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend you check them out!You wont regret it!

Good food and decent service, just wish the acoustics in the dining room were better. Sitting outside provides a much better dining experience.

We had the most amazing experience at Rody’s Tavern in Greensboro, NC! We had a large group (12and stopped by there to see if they could accommodate us. We had been turned away from several restaurants. Everyone at Rody’s Tavern, from the hostess to the owner, Steve, went out of their way to move tables and to set up for our family. The food was delicious! The Chicken Nachos, Honey Buffalo Wings (the Best I’ve had), Salmon, Salads and Pork Chops were extremely good. Service was prompt and servers were very friendly. Our server, Brooke, was just awesome! I would definitely recommend Rody’s Tavern and will definitely be back! On top of that, prices are extremely reasonable, including drinks from the bar. Loved it!

Decent Bar Food. French Fries overcooked. Ribs were tasty but overcooked. Fish tacos were good. Burger was great.Was out of all draft beer. Bummer.Service was decent.

My fiancé and I came here for dinner. We had a 30 minute wait but once we were seated we were greeted by Tabitha! Tabitha was great and accommodating. Her section was full but she met us with a smiling face and was super helpful throughout. The manager was also super helpful and checked on us throughout our entire time there. Thanks again to Tabitha!

Mya was great! The service is always good here. I had the California salad and my daughter ordered a BLT and fried pickles. Ive never had a bad experience at Rodys. P.S. The fries are to die for.

Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Im at Rodys. Why? Katie! Shell be your favorite bartender. The food is always good and the atmosphere is always great. Steve, the owner, is hands on and makes sure things run smoothly. Live entertainment, cant beat it.

We love the food here and service is always quick. The wings are knockout and they have some yummy salads.

Ridiculous in price for drinks!!! Service was great, but they are outrageous on their cocktail prices!!!! Order of 20 wings and drinks was almost $300 with the tip!? And it was for 2 people! No thank you again!

We had dinner here on Saturday night. I had the chicken tender basket with fries and slaw. These tenders were very moist and breaded so well. They were cooked perfectly!! The honey-mustard sauce they give you with it is delicious. Our server was very friendly and kept our drinks filled.We will definitely be coming here again. Someone else in our group got the Reuben sandwich and potato soup and said it was wonderful.They have alot to choose from on the menu!! Reasonably priced.

Had lunch after church on Sunday. No long wait, the salad was great and fresh. Waitresses was very attentive, prestaurant was clean. A good place for a great lunch.

Husband and I went here on a double date with some of our friends and we got seated quickly foe how busy it was. I had the Alfredo pasta and my husband LOVES their porkchops! Their fried cheese is delicious as well! I do wish they gave bread with the pasta though. Staff is always friendly too!

I usually dont give a place of business 5 because there is usually some chance for improvement (whether it be small or large). However, we are makin history folks! Today, as I have been there three times now, I am thrilled to give Rodys 5 of those beautifully shiny thangs!Just let me brag for a minute before I give my review...Our first time here, we had the QUEEN of all waitresses, Hayley! If I could sit in her section for the rest of my visits, I would! She greeted is happily, made eye contact while taking our orders, and smiled like she wanted to be there. At all times, there was no LESS than 2 glasses of tea in front of me (#SuperHubs also)She made us feel like we were her only table, but I know for a fact that was not the case because I saw her rushing around like a busy little bee the entire time we were there.Now about the food. I have a total of ZERO complaints about the taste, the quality, and the time it took to get it to my table. I could probably compare this place to a similar sports bar in the area but I will not name the name. However I will say that I have warned my family if we ever choose to go out for family night to a sports bar again, we are going here instead of the other place.Though they claim to be a tavern, they still have a great family atmosphere. The place was clean and bright and so friendly!Count us as repeat customers!

This was my first time eating here and it was great!!! We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated near the bar, but it was worth the wait. My cheeseburger was absolutely awesome!!! 😋 We also ordered fried cheese and fried pickles. Delicious!!! Even though they were extremely busy, the service was excellent!!! All the staff was friendly and our server, Kennedy R was awesome!!!

Good food and great beer selection. Service was good. Had a short wait despite doing call ahead. The fries cheese curds are the best I have ever had!

Good environment! Friendly staff, very attentive . This was our second time here. First time, fish and chips were cooked great. This time we ordered onion rings…. Terrible. Oil was oil and onions were stringy.

Friendly, laid back atmosphere for a Friday lunch. I ate every bite of my grilled salmon salad with a vingeratte dressing. My dad liked his grilled chicken salad. My nephew crushed his burger and fries. My sister had some kind of sandwich with 🐐 cheese. She loved it.

I don’t know why I tried this place again. I was hoping my experience would have been better. I ordered to go and had no salad dressing for either salad when my husband got home. I called and the manager said all she could do is replace the dressing. I explained we live 30 minutes away. She said there is nothing else she can do. It would be fine if it was as simple as ranch but I bought two salads with pecans and cranberries with honey balsamic vinaigrette. If I was a manager I would want the unhappy customer to return so I could prove we can do better. She could care less.

UPDATE 12/3/21. What a gorgeous day to sit outside! We chose the outside patio with umbrellas. Kennedy timed everything perfectly, remembered the extra ranch, kept our drinks full and was very accommodating. I asked if I could have the Red Goat Chicken (red pepper jelly, goat cheese and baconsandwich but with a burger in lieu of chicken. She said no problem without batting an eye. It was delicious! We started with the Hot Buffalo Shrimp app and it was phenomenal ! The shrimp were huge, crispy and tender. I wish the tails had been removed. Hubs got the Bacon Cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. We both had the burgers cooked medium and they were spot on. The fries were a little dark for my preference and they weren’t crispy. I’d get a different side next time. Still love this place!!My friend and I went here for first time on Saturday evening. They have two outside patios. One is completely open with umbrellas and one is under roof but open air due to large garage style doors that they roll up. Great idea! Both are non smoking so Yay! Our server was Samantha and she could not have more accommodating! She gave us samples of their house made chicken salad. It was delicious!! Just shredded chicken, mayo and seasoning. No onions or pickle relish, so another Yay! We were torn between the chicken salad and the California salad so we said we would just share. Samantha had them split both dishes in the back and there was no extra charge. Ive NEVER had that happen. She gave us two dressings. The balsamic was my friends favorite and I loved the orange dressing. It was so light and fresh!! The live music was setting up, including a full drum set. We left before they started because we felt it would be too loud to talk. They have TONS of big TVs for the sports fan. I will definitely be back for the service, food and under roof patio seating. All staff seemed attentive and all the food I saw looked great.

Best place to eat in Greensboro- hell- in the entire triad. I’ve been here 100 times or more and it never ceases to satisfy. Friendly, great food, great beer and always clean. The manager, or owner (not sure), comes around every time and asks if everything is up to standard. As always, a fantastic experience. See you soon 🔜

Service was great. Standard bar with bar food. A lot of drink specials. Food was pretty tasty. Will be back.

I have to admit the food was thrown together with no real care, but sometimes messy things are great. I decided to try their backyard bbq burger and it was decent quality. According to the staff, they use 81/19 ground chuck. Im glad they dont use a frozen burger. It was an amazing value. I will definitely be back to try something else.

Rowdy’s has good food, great deal on beers and drinks for each day of the week. Never a long wait time, and the service is excellent. The manager is always going from table to table making sure everyone is happy with their meals and service. I can’t wait for the live music to start back up.

Phenomenal fish tacos, not shy on loading up the fish and the onion rings A+, a must try if already havent thanks Rodys.

The service was good especially for how busy they were. I ordered the ribs with shrimp onion rings and fries. The onion rings were not rings they were just thin strips, didnt have any flabor i was disappointed. Same with the fries im not sure why everyone is going to these really thin fries, they were a lil soggy for my liking. I like fries crispy the way they should be. The bbq sauce on the ribs was really good, the shrimp was a lil salty but good

Wife and I went to Rodys and got the Red Goat sandwich, but as a burger, and the fish and chips. Both were excellent. I enjoyed the fries especially, as they were long and thin. I ate em with a fork. My water glass was never empty.Only thing I can say is that I would not go there to try a new beer, but they do have my favorite beer on tap so that is not an issue for me personally.

Wings, drinks and salad. This visit was great, service good and wings tasty. Its a sports bar and meets the expectations. Some apps can be a.little salty rhough.

Great pub-style food and drink. Sports-themed atmosphere with live music at least 6 times per month. The hamburger was fresh, delicious, and tasty. And the fries are crisp and delicious. This is a great place to hang out with family and friends. 🍻

This was our first visit to Rody’s Tavern even though we live down the street and pass it frequently. I’m not a fan of the whole pub/sports bar atmosphere, but overall our visit was ok.We were seated quickly and our waitress took our orders just as quickly. All of the staff that we encountered were nice and courteous. The restaurant was clean.Although our food was better than similar chain restaurants it was not exceptional (my opinion).My daughter said her chicken tenders were not as crispy as they looked since on first glance they looked over cooked. I assumed the cooking oil needed a change. But she said they were good.My son enjoyed his salmon and sides. The portion size was good as well.I had the grilled chicken salad. The ranch dressing and red bell peppers made the salad. My chicken was under cooked and had to be sent back for little more grill time. Medium steak or salmon is ok, but not chicken.I don’t know if the ranch dressing and honey mustard sauce were made in-house or not but they were really creamy and delicious.We’ll give Rody’s another chance soon and let you know how it goes.

Service is attentive and the food is fantastic! Our last visit my husband got the fish tacos. He said the breading was light yet crunchy, fish was perfectly flaky. I chose the California salad. It was crisp and the chicken perfectly seasoned.

Our first time ever visiting and we were pleasantly surprised. From the decor and atmosphere all the way to the wait staff and food. My wife ordered the Fish Tacos and I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy. We switched off one half of the sandwich for a taco. Both were very good and the portions are huge. Were fasting this month so we had to stick with seafood but we will definitely return to try more selections from the menu soon.

I like this place. I was living on this side of town when they opened.All of the food Ive had here is good and fairly priced. Its a nice typical shorts bar atmosphere.Also, this is a location for paint nite, which was the reason for my most recent visit. I overheard the instructor say it was his favorite venue for the event and I have to agree. Its always a good time, Savannah (waitressis always on top of the ball and takes great care of the participants and the instructor.Overall, very nice place albeit a bit out of the way.

Got the baby backs, wife got the fish tacos. Ribs were cooked well but relied on the sauce for flavor. Wifes tacos were crisp and huge but again, not seasoned. Baked beans could be an entree. Delicious, with hamburger and onions baked in. Fries were so so. Eating outside includes allot of traffic noise.
