Rocky Point Park - City park in Walnut Grove, Canada
Rocky Point Park is a nice outdoor venue for a stroll along the seaside or to bring young children to play at the playground. There is Pajos fish and chips or Boathouse Restaurant in the park to serve to the hungry visitors. There is Rocky Point Ice Cream for the sweet tooth. Then there are the many microbreweries just across the street for the beer lovers.
It is a nice visiting point people were enjoying by their own boats, some with hiring boats, some others enjoying to see them and other natural scenes. It is also a pinic point .Children were enjoying in parks and with water showers.
We went walking with stroller and we had a wonderful morning.Nice to get our 6000 steps in a beautiful location.
Saw many Canada goose in the park, enjoying the sunshine and eating grass 🦢Alongside the river, there is a trail for casual walk. Just be bear aware 🐻If you saw them, stay calm, stop and back up slowly. Don’t approach or feed them 😌
It is very nice and lovely parkThe trail is amazingClean and neatThe only problem is the parking lot is very small and always full during the weekend! It has lots of places to buy food and ice cream.Great placeHighly recommended
Great park for the whole Family and kids.. could spend the whole day here.
If youre looking for a convenient place to go for a walk followed by bevvies or ice cream, Id recommend Rocky Point Park! Easily accessible by SkyTrain, and lots of parking nearby. After your walk around the inlet, visit Rocky Point ice cream or visit the local breweries for some patio drinks
been going here for a decade and the view never gets tiring. very often seals will come visit just off the pier, wonderful trail.
This park has everything! Open space for pups and kids, shaded picnic benches, a concert gazebo, kayak and paddleboard rentals, a waterpark, a boat launch area and plenty of food around. I bring my inflatable dinghy to row out, which is nice because theres a cove away from speedboats so its safe for smaller vessels and you can even see otters swimming around.Ps, they have a pilot project to allow discreet alcohol consumption in the park so do it responsibly and please dont f it up for everyone else 🙏
Wonderful place to picnic and day out with family and friends. This place has boating facility, park, party benches and barbecue reservations facility, swimming pool, play ground, cycling tracks, and many more.
I couldnt find a spot to leave the car, the parking lot its so small.Today i made another intent, this time after wait 10 minutes i found one spot, but im not so sure if it worth it...
A great spot in Port Moody! Playground, splash pad, lots of green space, washrooms, paths along water and in forest. Nearby ice cream and food trucks on most days. And even a public pool in the summer. Were not local but love stopping here any time were in the area 😊
Didnt get to explore much of the area but will be going back again soon to do so. The bathrooms were well maintained and near the centre of the park. Parking was quite plentiful in the morning but it filled up quickly. Definitely a popular spot.
Beautiful place to spend the day with kids. Kids wont get bored. Sprinkle park, lovely lake, beautiful garden and delicious ice cream.
Rocky Point ice is the best. Lots to do, the Pier play ground, pool water park trails, grass picnic areas, beach, boat launch bike park dog park. Jogging and bike routes.
A lovely park with grass, picnic areas, and view of the inlet. You can launch boats from here. There is also a kayak and paddle board rental place. There is a public pools as well. Make sure to try rocky point ice cream! The line is worth it. They even have a doggy cone for your furry friend. I havent eaten at any of the restaurants here but there is a fish and chips shack and the boathouse restaurant, as well as several bars and restaurants and food trucks across the street.
Great place to spend the day, lots of green space to set up a picnic, play with kids or just enjoy the view. Playground and splash park for kids, washroom just next to the splash park.
A beautiful park with beautiful surrounding scenery. Theres a really nice water playground for young kids, and throughout July and August there a series of very popular music concerts every Sunday afternoon.
Well kept park, plenty of seating space for family picnics and playing space for kids. The sprinkle park is well maintained and such fun. Always a great time here. So many benches spread throughout.
Rocky Point ParkA great park to spend day in Port Moody to picnic, kayak and spend your summer evenings! It has1. Playground for kids2. Vast picnic areas and picnic tables3. Icecream joint (Rocky Point Icecream)4. Outdoor Pool5. Boat Launch6. Lakeview walk7. Casual hiking trails
Kids had a blast at the water park. Beautiful walk and friends were very happy with the kayak experience. Definitely recommend it for families to enjoy a day out. Parking is difficult to find but once you get a spot it is all worth it.
Community events or a quiet walk along the shore of the inlet, cool off with a frozen treat or dive into some tasty fish and chips. Lots of shady spots to get out of the heat.
Beautiful park with scenic trails. Went here most recently for the Ribfest 2022 festival which was great! 😋
Have been going here since I was a kid and now get to take my son ❤ love this park. Awesome playground, water park and much more to do. Also swimming pool, fish and chips place and ice cream place as well. My son loves going through all the trails, as do I.
Amazing spot to have fun in nature and take amazing pictures.
Love this park.family friendly, water splash, pool, nice pier to walk on, good scenery, years ago I did wedding photography for our friends.
It was amazing to be there on Canada Day and the day after. There was concert and dancing, food and so much more. People were there there to sing along with a band, dancing on the lawn etc.The organizer really put their efforts in the celebration, and the park is perfect place. I only feel the park might need a bit more parking spots.
Great place to go for a walk along the water or have a picknic.
Great boat launch except for price .22 dollars is a complete Ripp off.
Love this park and the walking trails to and from it. Ice cream and restaurants on the property. The kids water park will be fun once the hot weather starts. Great place to have a picnic or take pictures of all the boats entering and leaving the boat launch.
Very nice place to picnic with family and friends. Casual trails for hiking, cycling and dog walk. Must try the famous Rocky Point Ice Cream! Many flavors and large scoop! Two scoops are way too much for me.. Fish and Chips were alright, 4 pieces of Halibut with fries were actually enough for two. No need to order extra pouting, feels too much. Be aware had to wait for a long time for the dishes to be ready... Overall scenery is great and lots of activities to do in the park.
A very beautiful place to go with the family. Covered picnic tables available for reservations, and lots of grass space to set up a picnic and games. They have a charcoal disposal bin which I think is amazing for safely throwing away used coals. The spray park was a good size! There is a food concession if you dont want to bring your own food, and Rocky Mountain Ice Cream! All in all, I give this park 5 stars!
Beautiful place.I like to take fish and chips at there. However, there is no enough parking.
Amazing park in Port Moody. Spectacular views, with kids area, a long walk beside the water and a restaurant.
Always a nice spot , lots of parking , places to eat , huge playgrounds and access to the ocean .
Lovely place. Nice and easy trail around the water. There is washrooms in there. Free parking for 4 hours. There is a nice playground and picnic tables for seating. Highly recommended.
I love coming here for a walk or a bike! Rocky Point park has lots of things to offer from trails, dog parks and even ice cream! The trails are well maintained and are clean same goes for the entire park I also love going on the dock. But today was the first time I saw the water this low, Ive been coming here for about 8-9 years and Ive never seen it this low. Here also has the best ice cream I highly recommend trying their ice cream if you havent! Also if you ever get hungry from walking on the other side of the road there is a pizza and taco food truck!
It was a lot of fun walking along the Rocky Point Park! Took a lot of photos . There is dog trails, children’s playground, ice cream shop and the famous fish and chips!
Located in the suburbs about 30kms from downtown Vancouver, this a beautiful park in the city of Port Moody. A nice change of scenery if you wanna escape the hustle bustle of the city, generally not busy as most visitors are local residents.
Good park for smaller kids.very well maintained by trails.Easy walks/hikes.Lots of wildlife.Anything from birds (many different species)fish, frogs, sea lions/otters.friendly people.
For me, it is one of the best place at metro Vancouver to appreciate outdoor activities and a good beer/ice cream, depends on the age!
Nice to see the area rejuvinated. Our last visit 30 years ago, park was still a great place to go with our family. Glad to see the pool that our kids took lessons is still there. French fries still taste the same.
This park has plenty of activities including a children’s park, skateboard park, outdoor swimming pools, kayak rentals, walking trails, and boat launch. There’s even an off-leash park for your fur babies. I imagine it’s a beautiful area to sail your boat through the inlet for the day. You need is a day pass to launch your boat. A peaceful walk on a Fall day with a view of Burrard Inlet. It was my first time here and I enjoyed the walk through the Shoreline Trail. It’s an easy flat trail that is 6 km round trip. There are a few eateries around. We tried Pajo’s Fish and Chips and weren’t disappointed!A nice local getaway to learn more about our amazing local parks! Less than an hour from downtown Vancouver.
beautiful place first time there I will be going back asap. best if you have a boat to see the area.
Beautiful park, a bit crowded, but amazing views. Here starts the Shoreline trail which is a 5-6 km.
This is one of the best places to go for canoeing and very beautiful park around the corner. We spent time with canoeing with our 5 and 10 years old boys who enjoyed a lot. We saw so many sea lions jumping around, they were so beautiful and entertaining. After we done, kids went to play at the water park where they had so much fun. Recommend everyone to visit this place.
Easy to find., pretty good ambienceRocky Point Park at 2800 Murray Street is Port Moodys best-known park. Its a popular destination where you can enjoy the Burrard Inlet from our ...Aquatics · Trails and Paths · Boat Launch
I went paddle boarding and it was really nice. Rocky Point is a beautiful park with a pathway, dock, water park, ice cream shop, and kayak/SUP rental shop. However, the parking is HORRIBLE. There are a lot of parking spots only reserved for cars with boats attached. There is not enough parking spots for people who are planning to walk around the park etc. Rocky point park east access has overflow parking, but the lot fills up quickly. The first time I came here, I was lucky and found a parking spot at the boathouse. The second time I came here at 6pm and drove around for an hour trying to find a spot to park (my friend had rented a paddle board so I couldn’t leave). I didn’t want to park super far away, since I had to carry my heavy paddle board. It was so frustrating that there were so many empty spots reserved for boats, but not for other visitors. I was about to park on a side street, but an officer said he was ticketing people parking there because they had no boat attached! I don’t plan on coming here anytime soon until they fix their parking. Awful experience.
Beautiful shoreline trail for your nature therapy and a chilled out weekend afternoon with friends or family in the park. Freshly squeezed lemonade on a hot afternoon, delicious fish & chips and lip smacking Rocky Point Ice-cream. Cant expect a hot, lazy Saturday spent any better. This place has a complete package for a fun weekend.😍
Its very relaxing to do a small hike. Their health protocol also really good. Most of the trial is one way direction. The park offers various activities from playground, skateboard park, hiking, etc. Another plus thing, they have Pajos Fish and Chips there. So yummy 😊😊
