Excellent service and food, couldnt fault. Had dressed crab salad and a fish and chips meal... Both were perfection, we happily paid the 10% service charge... Well deserved for the staff. One small piece of advice is to provide bread and butter, especially with the seafood dishes. Other than that well done, Great location, and surroundings, with friendly team and excellent service.

Wow… been passed so many times & not ventured in… but finally did this afternoon … stunning!Food was absolutely delicious, service perfectly timed, & the setting stunning… blessed with a sunset.

I had driven past this place a couple of times whilst exploring the area and thought it looked interesting and my kind of place. So glad I stopped to try it out. Smashing view, especially as the sun started shining. Friendly and attentive team who helped with a couple of special requests. The food was truly delicious and perfectly fresh. I would happily kick people out of my way to go again.

We happened to be passing Rocky Bottoms on the way to the beach and thought wed pop in to see if we could get some takeaway lunch to have on the beach. And lets just say we were not disappointed. My crab salad was amazing and my husband loved his crab sandwich and chips. The lovely owner also made such an effort with our two small daughters (Sophie and Emmawhilst we waited for our order. We would definitely recommend this great place and well be back for more crab 🦀 xxx

Our group of 8 arrived at Rocky Bottoms very tired, at the end of a long day, and loved every second of our time there! Friendly staff, high chair for a small one, and amazing food, to boot! Everyone was full and satisfied and happy - we will return!!!

Delicious, Super Fresh Seafood. Staff were excellent. Smiley, Helpful and Knowledgeable. They made us all feel really welcome ... and they made a big fuss of our puppy

Enjoyed a sequid starter and local crab linguine for mains. Had a table with sea views. Very friendly staff and restaurant allowed walkers with dogs

Great little seafood place. Worth making a trip here. Ate inside but I would have loved to have visited on a nice day and been able to sit outside. All the dishes we had were superb with the local beers and wine menu a perfect accompaniment.

Went here with some very good friends travelling through. Booking was easy "on Line" and the service was good. However the Surf and Turf that I had was poor. The steak was poor quality and the Lobster had hardly any meat. Sent most back. Other meals were only OK. Wine was good and desert was good. Main meal spoilt it. Expensive as well considering the quality, for the price I expected the WOW factor but it was not to be. Nice garden to drink in and plenty of parking. Disabled parking near the entrance. Would I go back........No...... Shame as we visit West Runton a lot.

Though we would go here because we love seafood, only able to sit outside because we have a dog so cannot comment on inside dining. Table serving on when you have booked in where you are given a menu and drinks list? on wine on the list you have to ask what other drinks are available when the staff come for your order. I have to admit I have had better crab is crab but the rest was just not there. Think someone needs to visit The Spyglass in Ventnor IOW to see how it should be done. Plus the Eton Mess was to much cream with less of the other ingredients.

Truly great restaurant run by nice people. Whilst I cant eat most seafood, my family love it and I took them here to treat them. They had all the crab, lobster and seafood pasta they could handle, while they they found me a very fine sirloin (from the surf and turf I assumeand a great local cider from Wells. Well be back whenever we can be!

Arrived as a walk-in on a showery day. Accommodated us very quickly inside when it started raining despite not having booked.Beer and gin options were all top notch.Food was great (went for half lobsters with different toppings). Kids had the creamy garlic pasta which wasnt ideal as it was spaghetti and went abolsutely everywhere! Id recommend going for any non-long pasta (such as penne), and less watery sauce.Great experience overall. Would recommend a visit to anyone. Especially if youre interested in having a decent lobster!

Crab salad was delicious. Very relaxing surroundings and a shirt walk to the beach. Deckchairs in the garden were lovely. Staff and service were excellent

Lovely setting friendly staff. The menu is simple but perhaps too simple and really its super expensive. I dont mind paying for super fresh shellfish but it felt the prices were inflated for tourists. The produce has very little food miles. The food was very tasty the seafood platter awesome in terms of freshness and flavour amazing oysters. I would of expected for something as large and expensive as that a few side to accompaniment it. An expensive side order of new potatoes result in about 5 in a bowl. I just felt I could of visited the local fishmonger and sourced ingredients myself and had a picnic on the beach. Lovely setting lovely fresh tasty food but expensive.

Food and table service was excellent. Unfortunately docked a couple of stars for the following:-1. Service charge automatically added to bill. No mention if this would go to staff or to company so assume not to staff. Naughty.2. Two incidents were a member of staff shouted at young children. Not very professional when the business want to appeal to family. Better to walk over and have a quiet word with the parents.3. No cocktails available but they were displayed on the board. Was still displayed when we left 2 hours later.It has been a while since we last went and the food could not be faulted. The cheese cake was divine. Highly recommended.Just a shame these small points let the visit down.

We had a lovely lunch here in the sunshine. The crab salad and lobster was delicious. Our grandson loved the crab. It was expensive, more than wed usually spend but it was our anniversary!! Didnt book but we arrived just as they opened at noon and they gave us a table with sunshade. Perhaps more sunshades would be good in this really hot weather.

we were passing and saw lobsters so turned in , what a great place for seafood, nice casual service, with great local knowledge.But make sure you book ahead, we got the last table and we arrived at 12.30. you can also pick from specials board, i had sqid and chips and my wife had crevette salad with chips . all well seasoned , chips a little soggy hence only 4 stars however great meal , thanks

Outstanding food and, wow, what a setting. The only slight, and very minor comment, is that the the food did come out very quickly. (Sounds pedantic but a little more time to enjoy the wine). Really cannot recommend this place enough.

Delicious and fresh. Everything tastes and looks thought through, down to the salad and garnish in every dish. Table had crab, crevettes and half lobsters (thermidor and garlicon our visit, all cooked and flavoured beautifully.Gorgeous views, the outside seating especially is perfect for enjoying nice weather.Can be a pricey experience, but definitely worth it.New favourite Norfolk spot to enjoy seafood on a nice day!

Delicious, fresh seafood by people who seem to know exactly what they’re doing. Beautiful views across the bay and lovely outdoors setting, with dog friendly terrace. We got the seafood platter and whilst it has a high initial price I can honestly say it was worth it.

We read all the reviews, some were most uncomplimentary. We arrived nearly 10 mins late, the staff didn’t make a mention of it. We were warmly greeted, taken to our table, introduced to the specials and had drink orders taken before I’d even got my bearings. Service was very quick, the food was very good. Wife had Crevettes, I had the crab linguine. Our experience was lovely.

We were looking for the quintessential Norfolk seaside restaurant and found it here. An artsy location set outside town on a beautiful seaside. We sat in the sun, ordered fish and chips, dressed crab and fried chicken and loved it all. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and the added bonus was the absolutely amazing weather (not really down to the restaurant but it made our day!)

I had heard great things so booked a table here for a special occasion. But was bitterly disappointed! The oysters were “creamy” as they were spawning. A risk we took but I feel a well renowned fish restaurant shouldn’t serve these. There was a misunderstanding with the main courses which I feel the waitress became annoyed about. We were not offered a dessert menu and were left without service for a long time so we asked for the bill & left, but there were also mistakes on the bill & was almost charged extra, thankfully I asked to see the itemised bill first. The main courses were nice enough but it is pricey when the overall experience did not meet our expectations. A real shame!

Nicely situated with great sea views, this restaurant leaves you fully satisfied with its gorgeous menu.From start to finish the food was fantastic.Great staff too only want me to book again.

A delicious lunch with friends today. Throughly enjoyed our fresh fish and homemade lemon posset pudding too and the extra ginger ice cream was scrumptious. If your in the area, a stop at this little gem is a must.

Had high expectations for our visit last night as I had been told by friends that the place is fantastic. Location is great with excellent views. Staff were extremely friendly and offered excellent service however the menu was limited - burgers and pasta was the main offering with no real “fresh food” offerings. So in my opinion this is not a place for foodies but it’s an excellent place to visit when it’s sunny and you want to chill with a drink (or twoand some simple food.

Not sure where to start. The food - really fresh and really tasty. Good menu with nice specials. Weather was great but as we are camping we decided to eat indoors. The service we got was excellent, attentive without feeling pressured.Outdoors seemed a different story as all the staff seemed to have a different idea of the table numbering system. This lead, inevitably, to some confusion and a lot of eye rolling.It felt like no one was directing things front of house and it is on the detail that a dining experience is defined. Too much seemed to be slipping through the cracks.I would still recommend the place (location, not the fish ha hato anyone visiting the area.To the staff, number the tables, have a plan of the space printed out and have someone making sure things happen as they should.

Fabulous setting overlooking the sea. Our server was Elsie and she was an absolute dream. Oysters werent that great according to my friends. Dressed crab had quite a lot of brown meat. I would go back

Great selection of fresh, tasty seafood. Had the platter but there were many other things I wanted to try. Will definitely go back. Make sure you book first space is limited.

Love this place, the freshest of food done well, lovely efficient staff. booking will be essential this summer though. We previously enjoyed having impromptu lobster and chips on the picnic benches during the pandemic, having to plan ahead less with under 5s is helpful.

Fantastic location with great views sitting outside, very yummy seafood and top staff! Did their best to accommodate us when we turned up without booking and thus couldnt dine in the restaurant as such but a quick trip to their seafood shop (for two delicious half lobsters and the most amazing seafood tart), and a bottle of Picpoul from the restaurant meant we had a great time. Strongly recommend booking during busy times!!! 😉

Very lucky we found this restaurant, high quality seafood with artistic environment. Had a great time. The Lobster and crab are top quality here, can taste the sweetness and freshness. If you are a seafood lover, don’t miss this one.

Lush, fresh daily caught, honest seafood for fair prices! Defo worth the visit/journey!The fish platter is well worth it, we shared it between 3 and it was plenty to settle us for lunch.The crab linguine was also exquisite and the total bill including 4 beers was just over a £100. Which between 4 of us was very good value for money.

Best fresh seafood i have had for a long time. Shared a platter between 3 if us for lunch and it was just the right amount.Dressed crab, lobster, oysters, herring and crevettes. All perfect!Superfast and friendly service in glorious location. We will make this a regular stop when we are in the area.Make sure you visit the crab shack to pick up some goodies to take home!

We had been recommended Rocky Bottoms and previous Reviews were great.Not being able to book, we got there just after 12 and were second in line.Being a little cool, we chose the last available table inside the Restaurant and agreed to share the table of 4 with the couple behind.Good choice 👍Good company.Good service.Loved the Linguine 🦀Shared my partners Crevettes 🦐🦐🦐Would be great to have Garlic Butter or Garlic Mayo with the Crevettes on another occasion.....not sure if this would be possible 🤔

Elite tings. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Got the lobster and crevettes. The garlic and salt seasoning were to die for. The chips were crispy and complimented the dish amazingly. And the settings outside overlooking the sea topped off a 5* experience.

We ordered the seafood platter and the lobster and crab were both cold, which surprised us. We thought theyd be hot... But maybe thats because were not seafood buffs!2. If youre planning on getting lunch, its worth getting there bang on 12pm when they open. Otherwise the queue gets very large.

We had a delicious seafood platter. Serves 2 hungry people very nicely. Its a cold platter but couldnt fault it. Ales available as well.

Over priced and lacking taste. Fish and chips for £16 had no taste or seasoning at all, very plain. Half a lobster for £23 tasted good but was tiny for the price. Would be better going to a local fish and chip shop. Nice view and very polite service but let down by the food.

Our first time visiting Rocky Bottoms and the food was excellent. We sat outside as inside was completely rammed. We had to wait our turn to order food so the kitchen wasn’t over run, which was understandable. Very nice outside terrace and what looks like an outside bar which wasn’t open on our visit. It was so good we even got takeaway as well for the evening / following day, which was delicious!

Great views, service and the food is excellent.Shorter menu after lifting of lockdown but honestly didnt mind as everything they offered looked amazing.Dont go if you dont want to try fish.If you have a dog, expect to be eating outside, but you will be joined by lots of others!
