Robinson Falls in Kuala Lipis
Description
Privilege
If you come here by google map, when u arrive u will see a huge damp, then there’s electric house. There’s a white house, you follow the yellow-paint-stair trail behind the house, up until u find a trail. It’s a 25mins hikeHowever don’t come here to mandi. The water is not clean at all. The waterfall is ugly hahah
MoreThis place contains loads of plastic waste swirling around. Easy to reach spot bynthe way
MoreThere is a saying that keeps playing in my mind when I reached the actual Robinson Falls. "The journey is more important than the destination." The falls was a big disappointment. Probably the local council has to make a daily inspection. However, the short hike from the start of the trail was a good workout. Do remember to wear proper footwear as the slippery ground may be dangerous.
MoreFirst thing, Google directions are wrong .. the entrance is behind the animal feeding centre just out of Tanah Rata so if you want to go, set the animal feeding centre as your destination otherwise youll end up at a power station that you cant walk through and will have a half an hour drive back.Second thing, if you do find it, wear decent shoes. The path is really slippery (where it hasnt already fallen down the cliff.)Its not very accessible so only go if you have a decent fitness level.Third thing, personal view, but Ive seen better waterfalls without having to chance falling down a steep hill.
MoreVery stunning view, many food stall around the road. Beautiful scenery you can also enjoy the waterfall swimming
MoreThe waterfall looks cool and the way there is nice, but it is not very well maintained. The road is broken and full of grass.
MoreEasy hike to get to. Loved the view of the fall, however, littering has left this place with full of plastics and smelly water. Sad scene to see really! Hope the local government can do something about it!
MoreYou can reach there with a short walking getting off from the car. The path is paved but slippery. I found some dogs residing there. Initially got scared of these. But eventually could reach to the falls bypassing those dogs. So called development has not destroyed the natural look of the site. You can hear the murmuring sound of the falls. Worthy of visiting.
MoreAnother jungle track must to walk at cameron highlands visit. Its from tanah rata to boh road junction..Trial 9A & 9B..9b is my recommendation..
MoreIts a short 10 min walk from where youd park. Worth going at least once
My friends and I are a bunch of idoits and nearly died climbing from the back. Hella fun.
MoreDecent 30 minute walk from the town centre and fairly enjoyable up until the waterfall. The waterfall itself is not that big but still enjoyable to see. The downside is the large amount of rubbish at the bottom of the waterfall and just ruins the experience. Hope the local council or government does something about this soon.
Moresmall waterfall, worth the hike. but didnt go for a dip. its so isolated, might not be safe for a small group.
MoreNice waterfall but nothing special. We came there by trail no 9. And we wanted to continue with trail no. 9B. But we changed our mind because there were wild dogs running to us and barking. There are many nice wild dogs in Malaysia and these seemed to be dangerous. We were lucky to escape. So instead of it we went by trail no. 9A and it was OK.
MoreI would highly discourage anyone from going to Robinson falls because of wild dogs on the trail no.9. One of them bite me and I am now getting after-exposure vaccination. Not worth the risk.
MoreIt is a waterfall in the middle of the jungle. There are multiple hiking paths to get into jungle which will eventually lead you to the waterfalls, but choose wisely as some are more difficult than others. The falls was beautiful and the water is cold. The area is clean with some small insects around the ground and grass. Please do bring sufficient water with you as dehydration is not something you want.
MoreInteresting walk through the jungle from the Rainbow Garden Centre in Tanah Rata. There was a sign to say beware of dogs, but didn’t come across any dogs. Some parts of the footpath is unstable and broken.
MoreWe walked there from the north side. Pavement has been well furnished unto the fall. Then we continued walking on rough path down to the power station.
MoreGreat walk for me and my brother, the awesome feeling of living in the nature, and the fall is great too, many kind of tree and mushrooms and scenery in the way that have me stop to take many picture, I recommend everybody to take this walk, beautiful
MoreMy first time trekking at Cameron Highland. The trail is not that bad, but our main intention was to reach at the bottom of the fall. My sister in-law used to have picnic there unfortunately, the trail to the bottom already closed long time ago due to landslide & other reasons.
MoreIn very close proximity to the Cameron Highlands town center. You could reach very close by a vehicle and there is a 10min hike reach the waterfall. Waterfall is sounding is not clean. There are lot of garbage laying around. Water fall looks nice from far. But if you go very near the amount of garbage lying/floating just below the waterfall will dissapoint you.
MoreA beautiful view waits for you when you reach this place. However, take precautionary steps as this place is quiet and slippery after rain. I went via jungle trail no.9 and stop midway and turned back as it started raining. Nevertheless, if you have the time and guts, give this place a try.
MoreOne of my favourite spot in Cameron which i reserve for last. Its a fall and trek combination. There is generally less info of the robinson falls, so you need to keep your eye open as some of the landmarks are rubbed off. Once you enter the area..there are some locals living, you can walk for around 300m and see the waterfall.Lot of people return back from this waterfall. But if you want to have some adventure, do walk a bit further and you can actually have a jungle view. Make sure you have people with you as this is a remote area.
MoreI took path 9 very steep, 9 a was less steep but just a bit longer, more exciting though since the path was more intact. Then you reach to the farms . The Boh tea farm is 7km up on the hill which you can ask for a ride. Scenes in that hill was so beautiful
MoreAfter walking less than 500m there were two barking dogs blocking the tiny path, one of which actually came running at me. Given that another reviewer reported getting bitten here, I highly recommend bringing some dog treats 😉 We didnt want to risk it and turned around. Two stars for the story to tell and the first bridge we made it to.
MoreA good place to visit ( on a sunny day)
Natures way, trekking along the path ajustant.. Robinson falls takes one hour whereby there is a power station, vegetable farms then comes the road junction to Boh Tea and on the right Habu.
MoreWent trekking solo to Robinson Falls (trail no 9after the rain. I strongly recommend that you have a buddy to tag along. Be extra careful esp after the rain, bumped into 2 couples that slipped and injured themselves on my way back. While walking in, there is one waterfall which is not maintained. Plenty of rubbish and plastics. There are a few red and white plastic markers on the trees and branches (recently added by the authorities to avoid getting lostwhen you reach closer to the bigger waterfall, the trek becomes steeper and was slightly challenging going up and down (imagine doing it alone, silly but i did it). Once you see the waterfall, stay for a few minutes and head back the same way. Locals and police advised not to head down further to trail 9A (plenty of robberies reportedThe waterfall is pretty dirty so avoid swimming😂 I met one pregnant dog and she was not aggressive. Heading back was alright, do visit the flower garden on your way back! Entire trekking took less than 1.5-2hours after the rain.
MoreWater is not very good clean, cant swim, rubbish everywhere. The forest walk to the view point is nice, but the waterfall is definitely one of the worst I have ever been.
Morethe trek is a little steepy but the scenery is calming. there are water bottles not collected in the rivers.
MoreIt was a amazing experience, the water is so clear , u can see fish everywhere. But be careful that dangerous stone , it is harmful. Enjoy
MoreThough it is a short hike. Strongly recommend not to go after a rain. The path is pretty slippery and there are several areas without any boundaries protections. Not suitable for young children and elderly.
MoreIts a wonderful place with a great sound of water falls, quiet place, you can walk and discover the place by yourself. I advise anyone to visit that place. But there were a dogs in the way and no signs to direct you to the place.
MoreRobinson Falls is one of the few popular places to visit. We can enjoy the gushing sound of water flushing down the rocks along the way.If you are nature-lover, I thing that you must go here because here is amazing ! We an enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Besides, we can picnic at waterfall too.Guys, enjoy the journey at here for relax yourself.
MoreEasy access by only a short hike from Thana Rata. The area is full of rubbish and this is disappointing. The water had a smell of dirty laundry water. I would recommend maybe adding this to a larger hike.
MoreAn amazing waterfall in the heart of forest. Just 15 minutes walk.
Beautiful waterfall and pleasant easy walk to it.It is easy to walk there - but only in good weather. Avoid when raining and obviously dont hike at night.
MoreLarge waterfalls were cool to see after a long hike, but the water smelled and was full of garbage. Its nice to see if youre already there but I would not go out of my way to see it.
MoreNice falls, you need to walk through the gated bridge. It looks like someones house but you need to walk through. Walk about 15 mins or so from the bridge, past jungle trail #8. The trail is mostly red and green cement blocks but then turns to sandbags close to the falls. What a nice walk. Be careful it is a bit slippery.
MorePlace great for nature walk
Very nice waterfall but I would really recommend the local government to work on apicking up the trash along the way and bmaintaining the way a bit better (can get very slippery)
MoreAbout 15 minutes walk to the fall, we continued the trail for another 30 minutes and the trail is getting wild growed and we turned back.Overall the main attraction should be the Robinson fall I guess, you will be surrounded with amazing rainforest during the 15 minutes walk before the fall.
MoreIts alright. A short walk in not so impressive. We werent even sure if we reached..
MoreOnly short walk to nature trail to see nice and quiet waterfall. Not crowded with tourists so you can enjoy your time surrounding with nature!
MorePretty ok. It is a 15 min walk away from the Main Street and a good staring point for a few hike trails.
MoreROBINSON FALL is very nice small waterfall in the Jungle. However don’t have a big expectation. When you saw many bigger and more monumental water falls. This one will not be definitely very breathe taking for you. For me it was nice beginning of hiking the BEREMBUN Summit. One of the highest mountain in walkable distance from Tanah Rata.HIKE to BEREMBUN PEAK: My hike as I sad started from the Robinsons waterfall (hike no.8). Path was sometimes quite challenging. Surface was muddy, slippery and terrain was quite steep. For the better imagination see pictures. On the summit you will be probably little bit disappointed because there is almost no view. But don’t worry! You will climb peak in Camron Highlands! There is a lot of options how to get on the top, just check the google maps and pick one you like.Enjoy!
MoreOne of the best jungle trails (No. 9at CH. It takes about 15 minutes of trekking through the forest to reach the waterfall.
MoreGood place, but not maintained properly. Need some attention from Govt to take responsible.
MoreLovely waterfalls to see and you can trek through Jungle Walk no.9 here. Very calm and nice route to go throughMake sure you have sensible footwear as the path can be a bit slippery
MoreVery close to see the first sight of the waterfalls. Thrre is a pavement path, takes only 3 mins of walkong from the small bridge. But to see the full waterfall one has to walk through the jungle for around one hour using very narrow path (no pavement). Be prepare. Take water, wear long sleeve clothes.
