Riviera Hotel in Mount Eliza

I purchased an Aussie Parma and was not disappointed. Filling and great portion size.

Delicious chicken schnitzel and Seniors roast. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.

I went to this hotel today with friends and family for lunch.The bistro was warm and inviting and a very nice space.The menu was full over wonderful meals that is great for everyone.Try it. Great for lunch with family and friends.

Service is very good and the food was great

Lunch today at the Riviera with hubby, havent been for a long time after bad meal. Decided to give it another go, WOW, we were pleasantly surprised, new menu, obviously new kitchen staff. Love the menu & the seniors menu, something for everyone with different appetites & tastes. We had garlic bread with cheese to start, yummy, I had fish & chips, barramundi, delish just delish, only comment maybe hold back a quarter on the chips, loved the salad & dressing. Hubby had chicken snitzel, real chicken breast, lovely light crumbing, & thick chicken that you can see (not hammered to paper thin then re-crumbed, then re-crumbed againThank you Riv for yummy meals again, & excellent service from your beautiful staff. Definitely will be back again & again.

Decent little tucked away roadside hotel. Classic town pub/bistro. Listed beers on tap, just the standards.

Lived in Frankston all my life, never been to the Riverina until today. Great place. Great food. Highly recommended!! Ill be back many times.

So close to home but the menu has changed so not many vegan options 🥺 Also where is the drive thru bottle o? I must have been their nest customer haha so disappointed it closed as its just down the rd

My aussie Parma was to die for loves every last bit of it. My wife and our friends said the same thing meals were great. Only draw back was the noise it was quite loud in a small space. But the meal over came that. Great service cheers we will be back again.

Nice pub good food

Very impressed with the updated decor. Ample parking and pleasant staff. New chef new menu. The lunch we had was delightful all freshly cooked and not microwaved. I couldnt find anything to winge about not even the prices.

Absolutely top shelf bistro, great food 👌and excellent staff.

Look forward to coming to The Riv almost each week. All the staff are lovely and Emma in the restaurant has been exceptional with our group. The young lady in the pokie area always has a bright inviting manner as well. Importantly, the food is good value and good quality. Thank you guys. Happy customer.

A bit shabby out front but the Riv bistro served good honest pub food reasonably priced in a friendly atmosphere. Perfect!

Popped in here with a mate. It was fairly late, around 1am but the Pokies are open until about 4am. The entry was locked & it took a few minutes to be let in. Im not sure what the Manager was doing when we arrived but he didnt seem pleased about us being there. He mumbled something & gestured towards a table that had a sign in book & qr code, then shoufled away without me knowing what he wanted me to do so I stood there. He came back & asked why I hadnt signed in & I said I thought we werent doing that anymore. He replied "Well were still doing it here".We had a drink & left shortly after. To his benefit, the Manager was a lot more pleasant when as we were walking out. He smiled & wished us a good night. I guess he has to deal with some difficult patrons working after midnight but thats part of the job, as is greeting Customers as they arrive.

Recently moved to the area and visited The Riviera for the first time. Found that it was a really nice pub and had decent food and portion sizes. We had the kids with us and they enjoyed the play area too.

I used to love eating at The Riv Hotel Since management has changed the place has taken a dive. When Costa was running the kitchen the food was amazing. We ate there last night and it was terrible. Roast pork was dry. The crackle wasnt crackle it was sloppy rind. The vegetables were so undercooked they were almost raw! The oyster Kirkpatrick were very average, overcooked and bacon was dry. The calamari was chewy. The chicken parma was fine, bit dry, but nothing special. I wont eat here again. Such a shame.

The service is 10/10 lovely and friendly staff , the meat platter is a winner I so much enjoyed the dinner lucky to live locally

Absolutely brilliant eye fillet. 10/10. Chicken and prawns with creamy mustard sauce very good too. Definitely will return. Friendly and engaging staff too. 😊

Used to work here, has changed a lot now. But still a great place to drop in for people I remember and have a beer. Surely great food, wine etc. Place is now a bit more modern, newer technology etc.

Great place! Stopped for a Club Soda on my ride home. Will definately return for a meal soon.

Popped in here after the beach one day as its opposite the foreshore but has free parking. Fantastic food, couldnt fault it. Went back 3 days later and again, great food, service is good, its decently priced, theres an outdoor seating area to enjoy the sun. Highly recommended as a restaurant, no idea about the other aspects though.

Clean and tidy.Slow to collect order, but, received quite quickly after order taken.Lovely meals and good table manners when clearing dishes.Would recommend the Riviera Hotel to anyone.

I have been going here for 15 years and never had a bad meal. Great value and best of all the vegetables or salads are a delight too

Last night decided to catch up with friends there for dinner. Friendly n helpful wait staff.As for the meal "Roast Pork", absolutely disgusting, no roast vegetables or CRACKLE, meat had been in bain marie, heap of slimy fat on pork n drowned in gravy.ned in gravy, as for the apple sauce, it was brown!!Bit disappointed

We were 4 adults and 4 kids dined in friday night. It really was Great food. Specials menu was very creative and thought full and tasty.The bistro was very loud. They need to add sound dampening to the ceiling and walls. They closed at 9 but didnt bother us though we were there till 930. Great job.

Went for lunch with 3 friends yesterday as hadn’t been for a while! Wow was so surprised by the change in the place. New owners to be applauded and I can say in all honesty the food was damn beautiful!! We all chose different varieties of the stir fry and without doubt it was THE BEST I’ve ever had! Service was excellent and staff very friendly! Def my new favourite eating place and thoroughly recommend!🥂

Had dinner with a friend last night for the first time in quite a few months. Surprised to see a new menu, carpet etc and told new management. Not much range at the bistro and so expensive! I dont know how you can mess up fish and chips but here we are. Sad to see ribs no longer on the menu, a very disappointing dinner. Wont be coming back.

Just had dinner with a couple of girlfriends. One of the meals was a little too spicy. We had a wonderful waitress, Jamie, who noticed and offered to either replace the meal or a free dessert. Very impressed at the attentive service for a pub. It’s the quality staff that make any restaurant. Thank you Jamie for a great restaurant experience.

Delicious Seniors lunch of salmon, mash and vegetables for $18. Good value. Also, no charge for the supply of plates for the birthday cake we brought - thank you friendly staff of the Riv.

Amazing food! Best ribeye steak I ever had and cost only $ 25. Outstanding job from Costa ( The ownerand his team, they will be greatly missed. Only 3 months left, will definitely return weekly until then.

We had a lovely lunch here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a pub and the environment was pleasant. A pub lunch? Well my steak, medium rare, was perfect. Thick, juicy, tasty and cooked to perfection. Best pub lunch I have had for many years and the steak would embarrass many Melbourne restaurants who would serve steak inferior to this but at more than twice the cost .
