Riviera Crab Cabana in Batticaloa

One of the must try restaurant in batticaloa. The dishes are so delicious. Especially that crab curry was simply superb. The rooms and swimming pool very neat and clean. The ambiance beautiful. They have Very natural environment and nice view. Customer service and hospitality is good. If you want to enjoy with your families and friends you can come here.

One of the worst experience received from a restaurant. We mentioned twice to serve three beer bottles and bytes but still they failed to do that so we didnt have any option other than leaving.We DONT recommend this place to anyone else.

Waiters and manager are not quite well with customers. we waited around 40 minutes for your order and we reminded them twice but we didnt get the order. Great view and Nice Place(🍃🌊to visit but we are so disappointed today.

Place is very nice. Foods good and arent expensive . Staff persons also good ,but they only know tamil language . So it is a issue to communicate . Pls fix that.

Very orribile food portions ridiculous....Answer :OK, I already knew that. I ordered two portions of grilled pork and I got a large 10 cm tray containing microscopic cubes of cooked pork on the plate ... so I have two restaurants in Sri Lanka and I know what were talking about. you want me to tell you good, no sorry, I was expecting a restaurant of a different level ... try to take care of the customers, they are not chickens to be robbed ... good luck

Best Restaurant

The food is average at best. Whatever you do. Do NOT order the fried cuttlefish.Their service at the restaurant leaves a whole lot to be desired.

As a westerner I asked for Sri Lankan hot.... And it was as though they were saying... You like hot...I will show you how hot! The deviled fish was tiny pieces of fish with 90 percent whole chillies..., The fish curry was good but make sure you understand the menu as it says 100g of fish and it means exactly that. You need to order 200g for a meal portion. But the location is lovely, it was not expensive by resort standards and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A good hotel for a night stay. The lagoon is very beautiful and calm here. As the rooms are spread all over the land, whoever stays they could enjoy a very private place.The food is also nice but spicy. Theres a nice private pool which you can enjoy the lagoon with a nice bath

Ужасно! Не ходите сюда,не тратьте свои деньги, нервы и время! Подача элементарной еды больше часа при том, что в ресторане мало людей. Сок из лайма даже пить не смогли-как будто в стакан зачерпнули воды из бассейна... креветки не свежие,холодные, как резина, да еще и положили 2 порции на 1 тарелку, так как 1 порция - это буквально 5 мельких креветок. Просили жаренный рис без овощей с курицей - принесли рис с жаренным луком... Суп был вкусный, но после более чем часа ожидания - настроения уже не было. Счет оплатили. Высказали свои претензии менеджеру.

We stayed in the resort for 3 weeks in August 2015 while visiting family in Batti. We ate at the restaurant at least 1 meal every day, across breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the food was delicious and well presented. The restaurant seems hygienic and the staff courteous and friendly. The resort and restaurant are particularly worth a visit because of the fantastic pool, overlooking the lagoon, which we had a dip in every day, without fail. Looking forward to going back.

Twice we stayed here. Such a lovely place. Great place to relax and the food was extreamly good. The staff was very helpful and we are planning our next trip this year. Love to try the crab curry.

We have always stayed at Riviera When we visited Batticaloa. We really enjoyed the service provided to us. The Staff woke us up in the morning at request with fresh Coffee. Breakfast was Excellent. The Rooms were very clean and Homely .We will recomend everyone should stay at riviera and enjoy the best comfort and the delicious food cooked by the excellent Staff.

The Best restaurant for Crabs in Batticaloa. You get to taste really juicy crabs for very reasonable price. Love the place.

Lovely resturant. I enjoyed the food many times. Not only delicious they are also very much hygienic in condition. High hygiene standards are essential in food preparation. Riviera is one of the few places these standards are ensured. Come and have a meal and feel the difference.

I had the pleasure of staying at Riviera Resort last July 2015 it was a heartwarming experience to be surrounded by trees and lake. The management staff was very help getting us the rate specially replying to our emails timely manner which helped us to plan our trip to Batticaloa without any issues. When we got there rooms were excellent, food was mouthwatering enjoyed the taste of Batticaloa food. Looking forwarded to come and enjoy the hospitality again.
