Rivergate - Shopping Centre in Kilmarnock, United Kingdom
Good selection of shops quite busy today
Not the worst,reasonable ok
Really nice place to go.
Busy place with plenty of shops. And clean toilet facilities
Easy to get to and easy to walk around plenty to look at
Average shopping precinct. It never changes much. Dated. A couple decent shops.
Ive never liked rivergate mall it looks old fashioned inside and out shops are closing down in the mall as for the Costa coffee it takes up too much room in the middle of the mall and could be doing with some new shops to attract people back
A great selection of shops and products.
Good shopping centre with free parking unlike the ghost towns of Ayr and Kilmarnock. Freckletons is a friendly cafe to have a coffee in.
Visited a few times, not a huge selection of shops, but find the primark to be a better selection than my local, will visit again
Nothing special, hasnt changed much since it opened! Avoid this place on a Saturday, the carpark is awful.
Lost anything it ever had, would shop hereof absolutely necessary.
Dont go if you want to get away quickly. Been stuck in the carpark for 40 mins making a snails pace exit. Terrible place to escape from and will never be back. A horrendous shopping experience.
Great shopping centre, different choices for all
I like the mall but more shops are closing
Its a good shopping centre, but things that could be improved are:Keeping lift and escalators on, Its very annoying when the lift and escalators are switched off and you need to use the stairs, as that is a lot harder for a lot people, including my mum... why do you do this? Please keep them on longer...A lot of shops still keep things turned on unnecessarily such as lights or music even when they are closed and nobody is there, and some shops still have old monitors still running even though the shop is shut Down. This is just wasting energy and money, which is very unnecessary... If the shop is closed, they should turn stuff off. save energy and money...
Took a quick train ride down for a whirl around the shops only to see that half of them where now closed down and the shops vacant. Far too many discount and pound stores but thats the same as most of these shopping centres now. Made for a change of venue than Glasgow for a day though. 🙌🏻
Got everything i needed under 1roof great a will be back
Nice to see all the shops open and busy never seen a Greggs so big brilliant
Fist time here very well presented clean helpful staff
Shopping centre with public walkway from one side of irvine to the other. Has public toilets with a range of different shops
I am originally from Irvine always like 2 come back down every weekend, everything you need under one roof what more can we ask for a bit of everything.
Clean and pleasant to walk through, with good clean toilet facilities. Compared to other shopping centres recently, Id say this one has a pretty good amount of shops still up and running. A few closures which is always disappointing but a lot less than most of the other local areas. Overall worth visiting and coming back to.
Bog Standard shopping centre. Thats not a criticism just all the usual suspects there. Nothing remarkable. Though nice to see ASDA still has a Cafeteria unlike Toryglen Glasgow. ☹
Quite a few empty units in and around it but the ones that were open busy enough.
Leagues better than Burns Mall in Kilmarnock, but to be honest that isnt saying much
Good selection of shops, nicer towns in Ayrshire but not bad shopping.
Huge place be warned if your mobility isnt so good grab a trolley to walk with.
No WiFi and half the shops were empty but ok
I live in Irvine and I would recommend this shopping centre its a really nice place and has nice stuff.
Good shopping centre. Its not Braehead or Silverburn but its local undercover with a good selection of shops
Never been before , great mix of restaurants and shops .
Under cicer shopping x great wee cafe up the top end lovely tempura lunch was had x
Needs to bit of clean up but otherwise fine
Rivergate mall is well tidy with Billy and shug cleaning the centre my support workers and family never had no problems parking its the heart of the town the centre
Seemed to be okay at the start but the further we went on it was clear that its very run-down in places and needs some attention.
alot of good shops within the Rivergate and good parking in the adjacent multi storey
Very nice
Great choice of shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit if you are in the area
Warm and bright. A few shops closed but a good varied selection of shops. Not a lot of people wearing masks. A good experience.
Theres not much here, its a few shops nothing special, there a boots, superdrug, body care, quiz (very small), wilko, new look, cex, greggs, costa, holland and barret, pound shop, timpsons, Warren James, jd and specsavers theres a few more but they are the main ones I would say, it is right beside a decent weatherspoons and an asda though.
A lovely shopping centre, lots of different shops and cafes. Pretty clean except dog poo as people take dogs through. Toilets clean and not crowded
Really only use it for Wilko and Primark, not much else of note although it also has Boots( which is the worst Boots i have been in), New Look and Deichmann.
Went to asda in Irvine and spent 4 hours in the place. The layout is quite all over the place and not very organised. Its also quite expensive although I still spent £300 plus which I kinda grudged after coming home and going through my receipt. It was a good wee shopping spree but I feel I could have got much much more for my money.Unfortunatly not the best review though Im sure others will have different opinions.Sorry Asda.
None of the really big names are left in this centre now , Boots and Primark are probably the most well known . Truthfully , I own use it as a walkway across the river to get to the Retail park and Tesco . On a plus side it is undercover so if there are shops that cater for you in Rivergate , then its ideal on a wet day .
Got a few decent shops but the atmosphere of the place is not so good. Took a walk out towards the high street and the former shops that thrived here are long gone. The building that had Kings Arms pub is shockingly ruined, used to love a wee drink in here in the 1990s. I live just outside Kilmarnock and its a lot worse than irvine.
Not been here in about 15 years. Somehow even better than I remember. Lots of great shops, very clean and lots of parking!
Irvine shopping centre is busy most days and is open 24/7 so u have access to weatherspoons n asda and the retail park .free toilet facilities n free WiFi.kept really tidy by team of cleaners
It’s really looking tired now, probably due to underinvestment. Busy enough for a relatively small shopping mall, but it really could be so much better. The Irvine town centre looks really run down apart from the Portal and the heritage sites. It’s as if the place is trying to be all things to all people and in the attempt, loses its identity. There is something here, but it hasn’t been found yet.
Good range of places to shop
