Wonderful stop over to RELAX during our New Mexico vacation. Quiet, romantic and a little sexy. Clean and inviting as well. Good opportunity to get naked and reconnect.
If I could give this place more than five stars I would! I spent three hours there today. I bought a property pass and soaked in the public pools for an hour, then went to a private tub and soak for an hour, and then bought another hour at the public pools. This place is squeaky clean and so pretty and scenic. The pools are marvelous. I actually think I enjoyed the public pools more than the private. Customer service was excellent. You make your reservation either online or by calling. It’s best to leave a message if you call, but they called me back within five minutes. I can’t wait to come back here again and will go out of my way to do it.
This little place hidden in Truth or Consequences is a wonderful honeymoon getaway! We stayed in the Desert Flower Casita with a hot spring in the front yard that which is all fenced-in and private. The staff is friendly and very informative. I highly recommend this place if you just want a nice little getaway!
I remember the first time we visited this place. It was amazing. The water felt so pure so different. Today when we visited, the water felt like regular tap water. I don’t think we will be back any time soon
Its a must stop if your driving between Albuquerque to anywhere south or vice versa. Guests are polite at being zen. If you do the communal pools there are 5 different ones with different temperatures. They do also offer private hot tubs and all are available by the hour. They do not accept walk-ins, so make sure to book online.
Scenery was picture perfect, and the hot springs were so relaxing.Everything was also super clean and well maintained.I loved every second 🥰Will definitely be coming back!
Amazing experience! The place is beautiful and relaxing! I rented a private pool and it was amazing. However, I have to point out that they say people should whisper, but I could hear all the conversations and laughing from the private pools next to me.
This place is so beautiful, its perfect for a get away. I highly recommend getting private pools! It allows relaxation without anyone around! Sunrise and sunset are amazing!
What can I say about this place? It’s so relaxing as soon as we walk, we were a party of 6. Which was amazing thank you guys for accommodating all of us. The pools are so clean and comfortable. The hammocks were so relaxing. You pay for what you get! Definitely!!!! Recommend this place it’s so amazing! Staff is awesome and pleasant they know what they are doing. The hammocks in the pool was absolutely amazing! Do stop by here, we didn’t do the private rooms as we are a big family but I’m sure they are just as relaxing! There wasn’t that many people around us but we definitely felt so comfortable being there and everyone whispering and meditating is awesome.Thank you ! Will be for sure returning!
What am amazing little slice of heaven on 🌎!Chance brought us to Truth or Consequences and luck allowed us to stay the night thanks to another guests last minute cancelation.Katrina was the main staff member I interacted with and she is a great ambassador for the business.Knowledgeable, witty and helpful getting us settled in and acquainted with the grounds and our room.We met minnow the house cat 🐈 mascot and became instant friends.Really a magical place in a super cool town.
First time there and I absolutely loved it! I went later in the day when the sun was going down and it was breathtaking! The water was hot and lovely! The atmosphere is relaxing and calming. Not expensive at all. A great place to unwind!
Sets the bar high. Private rooms with misters and shower over the pool was great. Ambiance of common area was great and spectacular at night.
We just stopped by for a soak in the hotsprings so I cant accurately review the rooms, but the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotsprings were clean and well maintained. It was exactly the quiet relaxing place my husband and myself needed. They have grapes growing on the awnings, there are plenty of springs to choose from, and even a sauna! (it was too hit for us to try that though).Absolutely beautiful view of the Rio grande! Pet friendly as well!
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time the pools are awesome, different temperatures for those who like it hotter or cooler, private pools are nice too it feels like youre in paradise with the Rio grande feet away, the worst part is having to leave
Me and my best friend came out from Albuquerque to discover another New Mexico gem. We shared an artist room with one comfy queen bed. Big bathroom. And plenty of space for our things. The coffee maker carried my favorite coffee Lavazza. Mini fridge for our tasty drink. The springs themselves were so pretty the river was full as well. Tons of places to just lay around. Didnt use the grill but helped ourselves to lots of free tea. A full moon and rainy days made the place so much more magical. Excellent service as well. Cant wait to return.
Been going here for years and I finally got to return for a visit. The ambience is awesome the look of the entire property is very well kept. The rooms are comfortable and the springs are super enjoyable. Love all of the improvements to the whole experience. You guys rock....
Just an overall very relaxing place to be along the Rio Grande. Relatively cheap. We spent 1 hr in the public paid are with multiple pools and a sauna. Many places to relax and sleep. Then spent an hr in a private hot spring which is very nice. All the pools are hot so be prepared for that. Worth the stop!
How on earth do reviews get removed?Maybe they paid somehow...Inform yourself - hop over to Yelp to read more.I too had much higher expectations when we arrived. We felt mislead after viewing the exuberant reviews on facebook, where the photos looked professionally taken. We planned to stay three nights but left after one. We were on an extended vacation, and were glad to know they had rv spots. I cant find how to post our own pics, but I can share them on that other travel reviewing site, that starts with a T... When we checked in, there was a line of customers. Okay, no big deal - but when I heard different spiels given to other folks checking in, I started to listen closer. The "please whisper when soaking" was not provided to all customers, which could have made our stay more enjoyable. Jake, the manager couldnt have been more rude, walking out with us, showing us where to park, saying most people unhook their rv to go into town. I assured him we simply werent most people, and certainly not going into town for dinner. He continued to strongly suggest that we unhook, and I emphatically said we would not, mainly because the information was not provided prior to making the reservation. Our rig was nearly in the road, and I had wondered if wed be hit or not. From the rv sites - only 6 - you have to cross a frequently traveled road, and the locals there are none-too-respectful of the speed limit - also not mentioned before we got there. The rv sites are sooooooo close together, we couldnt even enjoy the tables provided, without sitting directly in the bushes. Again, not mentioned before we got there. And the price for an rv spot was outrageous - double - compared to nicer resorts having with plenty of room! Not very interesting or relaxing watching the maintenance person going about his business. As in other posts, I dont have anything nice to add about the staff, so I wont add. Maybe Jake should stick to the insurance company, but then again - his unprofessionalism would surely get him booted from there. We were grateful not to have needed to spend any more money in their town.
Great place to stay, friendly staff. Will definitely brag about this place and be back for another stay! Super clean from the rooms to all soaking areas. The staff really keeps this place looking good! Very relaxing.
We spent time in the private pool and common pool. Its a perfect 2 or 3 night get away with friends or significant other. Service is great. Free hot tea bar and ice is available to refill.
Great place to relax and very accommodating crew members! I missed my private pool reservation and they were able to send me to public pool! Enjoyed every minute!
We stayed at one of the private pools and were absolutely blown away! absolutely beautiful! a perfect setting to melt away all of the stress of every day life. if I can suggest any way to make this experience bet would be to book at least two sessions because one is not nearly enough!!❤️
Great experience...we had the courtyard room...perfect spot. Nice hotsprings and lots of heat options. Ada accessible. Thanks again.
I booked a back-to-back private soak and visit to the common pools. The grounds and facilities are pristine and welcoming. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The private soaking tub was beautiful and hot (I really love the option to turn on the cooling mist and the cool rain bucket shower over the hot tub is a perfect touch). I could have happily spent the day in the tub gazing at the Rio Grande. The common tubs were also lovely next to the river. I hope to come back again very soon.
Loved every minute of our time there. Met and exceeded our expectations. Staff was friendly, nice shower and bathroom area to clean up and change. Price was ridiculously fair for our time spent there. We did the one hour private room. Room and pool was nice and clean. Water felt great and you cant beat the view. Cool water sprinkler bucket overhead, misters if you need them as well as a fan. Nice, private and quiet. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go back.
Always a great experience at Riverbend. Far enough from El Paso yet close enough to leave at 5 pm and be home by 12am after a good, relaxing soak. A variety of public baths to choose from from varying degrees and the private pools are special when you need them. A great way to refresh the body and soul.
Excellent place to go to get some R&R. Its great if you want to go alone or with company in the public or private pools. You could definitely do some meditation and reconnect with yourself or a partner in the private pools. The view of the river really sets the mood and I was told that the lights in the rooms look really good in the evening. They have cool mist to contrast once you exit the water and a over head shower that also has cool water while youre in the pool. A privacy curtain can be used for more privacy as bathing suits are optional and people use the river and can see into the rooms. Very affordable but you have to plan in advance as they do tend to be book for weeks in advance at times.
Let me say it was very well worth it, we should of been here a long time ago. The Hot springs are awesome, relaxing and beautiful view of the river and mountains, honestly I didnt want to leave but I know that I will be back. Had a a great relaxing time.
Truth and Consequences might not be the most beautiful town to visit that has hot springs in NM, but if you find yourself close by the Riverbend Hot Springs are gonna be the ones you want to visit. They have a very nice view of the Rio Grande River (I cant imagine other hotels/motels/hotsprings have a similar view based on location). I went to the public hot springs, meaning I didnt have a room or a private pool but it barely mattered. The changing rooms are really clean and nice. The public area pools are enough to allow for the different groups that enter at the same time as you. The premises are just NICE. And for 15 dollars/hour? You cant beat that. Im totally gonna come back with my husband for another afternoon of relaxation.
If you are looking for a true hot springs experience, you need to find your way here. It is amazing. Im not into the hot springs things, but this is a beautiful, well run experience. It sits right on the Rio Grande River, with beautiful landscaping. All the pools, which there are several and with varying temperatures, are rock-linded. We staying in one of their 5 available full hook-up sites right across the street. As part of your site fee, you get access to the springs. We went twice. The second time was in the evening and we had the pleasure of watching a near full moon rise over a mountain with its glow shining across the water. Beautiful! They have several rooms for lodging as well. A brew house and a couple places to eat are within walking distance. This is a well-run absolutely beautiful place. Well worth a stop, even if you arent "into the hot springs thing." Nothing Ive seen in Pagosa Springs can compare.
Love it so much. I suggest going when its cooler cause water Is pretty hot . Also I suggest the day pass if u really wana go when the temperature is warm/hot. I also suggest to plan in advance so u can also get a room if u are traveling from far.
Had some time on Sunday evening and wanted to introduce my friends to Riverbend for some soaking in hot-tub. Soaking by reservation only- made reservations for public pools over the phone. Big pool has a wooden canopy cover and is wheelchair accessible via lift/ swing chair. Clean, updated and well maintained facilities. Staff as always friendly and courteous.
The best actual oasis that I have ever found. What a great place to spend a couple of days to unwind, relax and soak in some natural hot springs. Good livin, I stayed in the RV lot across the street. Each site is level gravel and divided by green shrubbery. All the hookups needed.
Such a peaceful beautiful place. We took the private 50 minutes session at night. The stars were pretty!the one piece of advice I would give is to make sure to book in advance.
This was such a fun experience! The pricing was way better than I expected. My boyfriend and I drove 2 hours just to see what it was like and we will 100% be back! Everything was clean, quiet, and VERY relaxing! We just did a private soak and it was so worth it!
I was not looking forward to this because Im usually not a "hot springs" person but Riverbend Hot Springs changed my mind. We did the private room so it didnt feel gross like it can when you are in a spring with a lot of other people. We did an early time and it was amazing!
This place is amazing! The hot springs, scenery, relaxing music and with my babe💜 was one of our best date by far. This is the place to come relax. We will definitely be back. Thank you Riverbend Hot Springs.
Very pleasant and relaxing experience. This was our second trip this year using the private room soak (50 min). Reasonable rate. The facility is clean and well kept. Staff was professional and friendly. Would highly recommend River Bend to family and friends.
GORGEOUS VIEWS! MUST DO! I loved visiting Riverbend with my boyfriend. It was so romantic. Their whisper policy was helpful in enjoying our time. It was clean, pretty, and had showers. Definitely worth the money!!! If you get too hot, there is a little bucket shower in the private hot springs to cool down. I would recommend getting a private tub if you have the extra $10
I would spend all day here if I could! In the shared soaking pool space that overlooks the Rio Grande, there are multiple pools at different temperatures so you can find the one right for you and not feel crowded by other folks. The pools are stone with seating around the edges. One has hammock chairs hanging into it. That was the best! There is a covered space with hammocks, chairs, and tables up from the pools. For those staying at the resort, you can spend more time relaxing in the pool area. Next time Im in town, Im definitely going to stay here!In May the honeysuckle is blooming and the scent is heavenly! As the sun goes down you can see the small blue laser-like lights pointed down into the pools so you appear to sparkle and they project the same lights in green across the river to the bushes. It creates a magical look to everything. For our second hour we had a private luxury pool. There is enough privacy to be clothing optional. It has a large infinity pool that overlooks the river. There is a waterfall shower that falls into the pool - very refreshing!I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
Riverbend is a little slice of heaven. Well manicured grounds, and affordable, we just wish the waiting list was shorter :We love the private pools as well as the shared pools, theyre all amazing. Riverbend never disappoints and the staff is always helpful and awesome! Were already planning our next visit!
I went to this spa for several years and always loved it but the recent changes to their “whisper only” policy prevent any communications between people while staying there because it’s impossible to hear someone over the running water when only allowed to whisper. Even a very low voice earns a warning of expulsion from the facility. It felt very uncomfortable , restricting and feels depersonalizing. The new painted facility looks commercialized rather than authentic like it was before. Only having access to a concrete sitting area prior to the admission was disappointing. I was sad to see the changes and I don’t think I’ll be bringing my family back here again. We had a much better experience for about the same price at La Paloma’s and the lodge with much more personalized interactions.
The water was a bit too hot, but you get used to it too. The view is AWESOME. I think thats why you pay what you pay. At the end of the day though, if you take a friend with you, its pretty affordable (ie. less than $20 per person during the off season). I would recommend taking your own towels to save a few bucks, but the drinks arent overpriced. I would recommend the coconut water. Its nothing but real coconuts and goes well with the relaxing atmosphere. The place seemed clean, well staffed, and its a good atmosphere to relax in. There was light relaxing music playing in the background, but you could barely hear it. Its just the right volume to relax with. I found myself mezmorized by the river for a while, just staring off into the water without a thought in the world. Its serene.
Awesome place! Very peaceful and I loved the hot springs. My only wish would be that there had been a couple more tubs or maybe more limited attendance - it felt weirdly competitive to try to get into one of the smaller pools (like waiting for a table at a busy coffeeshop). Great location and ambiance. Next time I visit T or C, Ill want to stay here!
Nice spot. The hot springs pools were great and the overall feel and ambiance was relaxing. Unfortunately, the vibe from certain staff was unfriendly and creepy. They ruin the resort feel at Riverbend. Had a nice time but wont be back again.
Used to love local and this was our favorite place to go with our family, and we went often. Quiet and beautiful. However it is under new ownership and has definitely changed and we will no longer go. The new owners are clearly anti-family. We moved away but we’re back on a visit and called to set up a soak time. We were turned away because our family is now “too young” for the public pools and “too big” for either of the private pools which only allow a maximum of 4 people, even if not all are soaking. They were decidedly unapologetic and couldn’t have cared less about how their changes impacted long time patrons. Disappointing, and we’re taking our “big” family elsewhere in T or C where people are truly welcoming and kind. At least we had good memories of this place.
Absolutely 💯 Incredible! I called two or three hot springs in Truth or Consequences and this one was the most accommodating. Im glad I found them. Very zen like atmosphere. Incredibly relaxing, clean, well kept facility. I can see why theyre the top rated hot spring in this town. Totally worth a stay to soak your troubles away! Ill be back!
Calm and clean. Easy parking and easy to find. We did the private soak. Everyone was super sweet but after you check in you’re left alone. All the other guests were very respect of their volume. We felt like the only ones there! Super clean, and they have everything you need if you forget something at really reasonable rent prices. We brought pillows for the lounge chairs and next time I’ll bring a plastic water bottle because I had to work to make sure my metal one didn’t make noise. The wildlife on the Rio is even so amazing! Can’t recommend enough.
The hot springs here are amazing. Ive only ever reserved private soak time but its very private and the price is reasonable. The pools are very large and comfortable for 2 people and they have hotter and cooler pools depending on what youre looking for. Also ceiling fans, cool misters, cold overhead showers and great views of the river. Its a beautiful property with friendly staff.
I booked a soak for the wife and I, in the private hot springs area for an hour ((You might not think that’s a lot of time, but it was perfectly all we needed)). The springs water temperature was perfect, it even had a “cool mist” ((A pulley that can “rain” cool water overhead.)NOTE: only offered in warmer months, when booking ask if it’s available. ((Great touch by the way!)The view from our private room was looking towards Elephant Butte it was a gorgeous view, All areas I saw was clean including restrooms/showers ,staff were friendly and helpful! When we come back to NM we will be booking again and again!
