MoreGrear place for walk in kilkenny

More2km walk with tarmac so ideal for bikes or buggies. Benches along the route. Dog friendly park. Public lighting up to a certain stage of the walk.
MoreNice walking track
It is a nice walk and the equipment is okay but you are doing the dog mess dodge most the way around so its not the best place to take small kids.
MoreGr8 place peaceful and quiet😘😍😘
Lovely walk with my daughter and really appreciate the autumnal day by the river
Looked good, place to walk.
Lovely clean park. Noticeably free from dog mess. The whole walk was on the level, so very suitable for buggies, wheelchairs and kids on bikes/scooters. Two paths running parallel to each other, so plenty of room for everyone. Outdoor gym equipment in a couple of places. Our only complaint is the river is hidden for the majority of the walk. Only a few places to view it. Even the benches are just facing a wall of vegetation. A pity.
MoreFab place to swimDogs will love itLots of places around to walkSplendid scenery
Its A Walk and its Outdoors. Get outta your bloody house and off the street.
When the new Riverside Gardens and Linear Park are joined this will be a good walk.

Nice quiet walking place💓
Good for a walk, jog, kids or the dogs. Outdoor training equipment available.
Love it when I take long walks there
Its a beautiful and peaceful walk by the river which stretches the length of the city of Kilkenny. Many people walk their dogs there. Most go walking, although there are cyclists too. It can get busy at certain times of the day.
MoreVery pleasant walk, lots of people jogging. Air gyms available.
Fantastic walk by the River Nore, with an added bonus of some history of an old suspension bridge.
MoreBeautiful walk highly recommended
A nice lunch time walk. Great for little kids on bikes and scooters. Good for the evening run and fitness. Just a great place to be.
MoreSuper clean, and life guards on duty if you want to get in the river for a swim.
Absolutely lovely for any age and ability . Ramps at entrance for wheelchairs and prams, children hop down the stairs . Although, its hard to get them by the exercise machinery, located just beyond either of the two entrances. You can go down to the river and have a swim, its shallow enough in several places to just waddle in with your toddler and watch the spiders glide over the water. Or perhaps see some dragon flies . Or just walk along, listen to the murmur of the water gliding by,sometimes it sounds rather like louder, as it pushes over some hindrance . Then the birdsong is drownded out. Different trees and bushes grow near the water, mostly alder, willow, hazelnut. Try to check under the leaves, to detect the hazelnuts. Elderberry can be picked, as well as plenty of blackberries. Havent met any stray dogs. Opposite the waterfront are fields and just natural habitat for lots of butterflies,birds,insects...you can go and walk a loop , or back again. The walk is level and not tiresome at all. And you cant believe, that you walked so far. Or jogged. Enjoy.
MoreWant to get into the wilderness? Then go down the canal/linear walk.
Lovely scenic walk with great variation of views culminating to a walk around the Castle ground.
MoreAn absolute haven of biodiversity! Im seeing butterflies, insects and colours I have never seen before. The sound of crickets and bees fill the air. Wildflowers are flourishing and the Swan pair have another brood! Herons and ducks are regulars. Beautiful wild natural spot, may it remain so. Oh yeah, ye can swim and exercise down there too. My only thought for the place is for more bins, the humans are making a right mess on the sunny days.
MoreLove this walk anytime.Especially great for walking my dog.Very social space for canines.😁
