River Bend Overlook in Williston

Breathe taking....extremely windy when we were there, but so beautiful 😍.

Beautiful scenery.

There is a shelter here built by the CCC. The views from the shelter are incredible. It is a good place to look over the badlands and the Little Missouri River.

Absolutely breathtaking beauty in North Dakota

This trail allows you to do what you like....short simple hike to the overlook...or follow the trails and see a little more

Dining room was closed before 7 pm.. I drive a 4500 ram truck with a 40 gooseneck.. so I disconnected the trailer to go throught the drive thru. Got food and the kid forgot my drink, sauce and a fork to eat my power bowl with. Food was good , and fresh.

This year has been the first year in a long while that it has been this green and the water level this high. Everything was beautiful. From the green grass to all the leaves on the trees everything is so serene. I highly recommend going for an outing there.

Very short trail to a new overlook deck, or a little further to the 1930s CCC build shelter. Left and right are expansive views of the park, badlands and Little Missouri River. The combination is special and particularly tranquil.

Beautiful stone shelter on the precipice. Incredible views in front of you to the right and left. Best stop in Theodore Roosevelt National Park!!

This is perhaps the single most spectacular view of either the North or South units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It looks down over the Little Missouri river into impressive variations of badlands terrain. From here there is a beautiful view not just of the river but of the valley and the buttes on the other side of the river that lead into the Achenbach Hills. If youre particularly lucky, you may even get a majestic view of some of the wild bison which roam the park.

Just down right amazing. An absolute must see for anyone passing through the area. This overlook is one of many located in the teddy roosevelt national park north. Its also a reward for anyone willing to brave the hiking path this leads up to. The view will take your breath away if the hike already hadnt. Sit and take it in, then start your journey back down the other side.

I almost don’t want to share how beautiful this stopping point is; the CCC wasn’t messing around when they chose its location as one of their projects. The North Unit of the park is so worth the drive though, even for this one view.

Another amazing view point! Some hiking you can do here which looks pretty cool.

The most breath-taking views. You have to take the time to stop and stand still for a couple of minutes to soak in all the beauty.

A place built by the CCC. Overlooking a peice of America you cant find any where else. Its a short walk in northern Theodore rosevelt national park. If you get a chance go and enjoy the view.

In my opinion, this is the best view in the park. Simply beautiful. I thought it was better than Oxbow.

Great view, but not as hilly as Oxbow Overlook. Of the two I prefer the latter-- something about the terrain at the latter is more striking.

A beautiful place to take in views of this national park and Little Missouri River. I went in late evening/morning as I used a TPE for a viewing of Milky Way galaxy. Dark skies around park area, but distant lights did add some minimal light pollution. Daytime viewing are just as amazing! Easily seen parking while driving and a short walk to Overlook points.
