Ristorante Trattoria Angiolino - Ai 13 Arrosti in Florence
Description
Privilege
One of the best steak and pasta here in Florence.
Absolutely the BEST food in Florence. The steak is absolutely incredible. Im from the US and we cook steak often and produce a tasty meal. How good could this steak be? Better than the highest end steak places in the US and better than me with my sous vide.I ate at another highly rated restaurant tonight and it wasnt even close. This restaurant has largely ruined every other restaurant in Florence for us. I plan on returning. Can I give 6 stars?
MoreA nice non-pretentious restaurant with fast, friendly and attentive (for dietary restrictionsservice. The food we had was a true celebration of simplicity.
MoreThis place was absolutely amazing!! One of the better restaurants we went to in Florence. Kind of hidden/away from the center. Our server, Lisa, was amazing! She gave us great recommendations on everything. We went to zaza as well and this definitely was better and less crowded!! Steak, pasta, wine, desert..all great!
MoreSimply delicious! Very friendly service and nice place!
This place is a must visit if you come to florence. It is not so well known so the wait staff provides adequate attention to the patrons. The price is decent. I ordered tagliata plate for 2 people that costs 42e and it was more than enough. The tagliata melts in your mouth and the potatoes are heavenly. For desert ordered panna cotta and my mouth thanked me for it. Consigliatissimo!
MoreAwesome restaurant with great food...I had the Florentine steak which was cooked perfectly...so big I couldnt finish..our waiter was great and also shared some great places to visit...
MoreBest meal I have had in a long time. Party of 8 and everyone loved it.
If you want to eat good food, Angiolino definitely knows how to do that. We came here before and were very pleased with the quality. But we just returned last night and it was a disaster! It was as if it were under new management. We were a table of 13 that we booked a couple of weeks ago. We know it’s hard for restaurants to cater for big tables and more so to have everything ready at the same time etc, but we didn’t expect nor got explained that half our table would get their pasta dish and the other half of the table would get theirs 45 minutes later. It looked as if they made one part and decided to look after other tables in between and then later finished the other half. Very weird. Been in Italy for 4 years and never came across that sort of logic. The first half of us was politely waiting for the rest to come so we could all eat together but after 20 mins everyone gave up and started eating their cold food. We asked the waiters, who barely looked after us as we were put in the back room, about what was going on with the other part but he told us that it was coming, with his face looking like I was expecting too much from him and that everything was normal. Fake smile and all but no apologies, nothing like sorry it’s been a hard day or we are a bit short of staff. Even some sort of reason would have calmed us down but we got told nothing. Even when we paid, they pretended like nothing happened.Anyway, sorry, long story, it’s just to say don’t bother coming here because they don’t even care about your experience. There are much better places around florence!
MoreAn absolute treat, with fantastic food, excellent service and value for money.Highly recommend their ribollita, the tagliatona as well as the wild boar cappellacci for a blissful Tuscan experience.
MoreWe stumbled onto this place by happenstance. And so grateful we did! We had a phenomenal dinner here, and the service was easily the best we had in Italy.Highly recommend the Capecelli Wild boar (I still dream about it), Tiramisu, and the Eggplant Parmesean (vegwas great even though its "everywhere". Spaghetti Daniel (vegwas delicious.
MoreReally cute place and delicious fresh food. Friendly staff too! We tried several things and would repeat. Fried polenta, Caesar salad, potato filled pasta, risotto, spinach crepes.
MoreGreat local food with excellent wine selection at good pricing.
The best tortaglini we had in Firenze and great chicken and dessert!
Absolutely horrific! The €32 florentine steak was the worst piece of meat I have ever been served. We would not even serve that quality meat to our dogs. When the bill came i was charged €2.5 for bread I did not have. When i queried it i was told it is for using the cutlery and tablecloth! When I refused to pay it the owner went beserk and started shouting at me in the restaurant. It was a horrible and scary experience. This is a tourist trap. AVOID.
MoreComing from a hospitality university I know what good service is. What Fabrizio offered us this evening was above good, it was excellent! Flawless, quick and with genuine hospitality. The food as well exceeded the expectations. Angiolino surprised me this evening!
MoreOne of the best and warm dinner experiences Ive had.The top notch quality of the food, the ambience, the helpful and patient staff (as I tried to refresh my Italian, in which the waiter was quite helpful and understandingguaranteed a wonderful night.Where there were few pictures of the restaurant offering an insight on where we would have dinner, my company and I were overwhelmed by the cosy and traditional interior. A vintage bar decorated with flasks and empty wine bottles, frescos picturing a view of the Arno and classical lighting ensured the feeling of authenticity. The waiter did a fine job by suggesting wines (theres an extensive list of wines changing by the season and availability, so we enjoyed a classic chianti from the house of Terre di Conio (2014)and made sure to feel as if we were at home. The food excelled and everything tasted fresh. From the melanzane di parmiggiano (highly recommendedas a starter to the bistecca della fiorentina as a main course (perfectly grilled)Id recommend this place to all my friends, ignore negative reviews and youll experience a great night.
MoreDefinitely one of my favorite restaurants in Florence.Excellent food and very very good service. Everything on the menu is absolutely wonderful!Highly recommended!!!
MoreBeautiful setting, authentic Italian food. Open kitchen, you can watch the chefs from the restaurant.
MoreAuthentic Florentine restaurant. Love the service, very professional and attentive as well as the love for authentic and local produce that elevate the quality of each dishes. A must go.
MoreFavorite neighborhood spot! Great Tuscan food, amazing service, reasonable prices… super cozy/warm lighting. All the good things!
MoreDecent food and very good service. This one has an English menu but dont let that scare you away, I wouldnt consider it a tourist trap. Prices are fine.
MoreThis place was perfect! The food was delicious, the ambience was charming. We had the truffle pasta which is a must try, wine, dessert, everything was excellent. I highly recommend Angiolinos!
MoreGreat service.Had the beef & fried potatoes. The beef was tasty but really chewy but the potatoes were fantastic. We had the Panna cotta and tiramisu, both were good.
MoreIf I could give 10 stars I would. Friendly and professional staff. The fresh pasta with truffles was the best pasta dish I ever ate. Panna cotta with berries - to die for. Reasonable prices. Dont waste your time on the mediocre street food at Mercato Centrale or the Antico Vinaio Sandwich - come here.
MoreThere are a lot of very good restaurants in Florence, however this one is great. Some of the best food we ate and the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was recommended by a local who eats lunch there each day and I now understand why. Do yourself a favour.
MoreDelicious traditional food in a nice but unpretentious restaurant. Here I had probably one of the best pastas of Florence, and their lovely aubergine parmigiana for starters which I totally recommend. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, looking fancy but without being snobby, and the staff are all very friendly and attentive.
MoreAmazing place! One of the best truffle pasta I have ever eaten! 😍
Ordered steak from the daily menu for 39€ and got charged 61,50€!!! Same steak seems to be on the regular menu as well. Neither did the waiter double check nor did he ask if we want it rare or medium. Most unfriendly place we have ever been in Italy!! Don‘t recommend going there - ever!
MoreFabulous variety of dishes and all gastronomic.Had to re-book for another visit before leaving Florence.Yes staff are very friendly and English not a problem.Try Osso Bucco with roast potatoes, you wont be disappointed.
MoreQuite disappointing if I am honest. We saved this lovely looking restaurant for our final night in Florence. We arrived a little early (10 minsbut were told to come back at 7..fair enough I suppose. Upon return we were clearly eyed up as tourists with child in tow and were shown to our table in a windowless empty back room next to the ladies toilet. It was the last night and I tried to turn eye as the service seemed quite professional by our elderly waiter..though a little abrupt upon any kind of hesitation (the way around here it seems). We were served some rock hard bread sticks and sliced bread of the non soft/fresh variety. No side plate either. The meal and experience were saved by three lovely delicious bowls of pasta. I took the recommendation (I’m sure it was just chance that it was the most expensive bowl on the list). Eventually one and then two tables joined us in the back as we were about to leave. By then it was too little to late to generate any kind of atmosphere.Around 80 euro for a distinctively average experience.Florence for all its undoubted beauty and charm is not really child friendly and reminds me of a stuffy pretentious clothes shop at times where they look you up and down.If you visit this restaurant, dress up smart, leave the kids at home and I am sure you will have a lovely evening.
MoreDelicious food and friendly service.Tried porcini pasta and tripe, both were delicious. Also try their pistachio cheesecake, which was a bit too soft, but tasty. The gentleman at the bar who took care of us was very nice and friendly.
MoreFood was ok here but the service was very ordinary and waiter (middle aged Italian bloke with short hairwas rude and pushy for 1. Drinks; 2. Payment using cash - his specific words were: "In Italy, we dont accept cards". I didnt have cash anyway so he ended up taking the payment by card; Not sure how they still managed over 4 stars. People dont realise they are being charged €5 for ordinary bread which they didnt even ask for, and they dont even bring out a plate for us to eat bread. Clearly as you can see we ordered Spaghetti with Chicken Liver (€14Pappardelle Home Made Pasta (€16and Spinach as side dish (€5). That comes to a total of €35, and the receipt shows we are charged €40 so the extra €5 must be for bread. I am expecting an explanation from management and this waiter to be reprimanded / dismissed or I will tell my wife and friends who also dined here to about the poor service.
MoreDelightful experience. Had the famous T-bone steak with delicious roasted potatoes as a side and it was amazing. Panna Cotta with caramel was as good as it gets (caramel lover). Staff was very helpful and polite. The chefs loved to the watch customers enjoy their meals. Great ambiance and lovely vibe.
MoreI loved the service and the food there, I did eat delicious pasta which tasted like an Italian Mama would have done it 😉
MoreGreat find! Traveling alone was out looking for a bit to eat. Rain clouds were building so I went into this eatery. It was fairly early but crowded but they seated me immediately. Had the eggplant parmigiana as a starter followed by the veal steak. Both wonderful. Very pleasant staff and environment. I will be back.
MoreEasily the best meal I had in Florence. Get the steak... you won’t be disappointed 👌🏽
MoreA very nice family dinner. The eggplant Parmesan was terrific.
What a gorgeous little restaurant. On a quiet side street away far from the madding crowd (!is this place. Fantastic service and home cooked food. The wine...exemplary. Worth a visit for dinner.
MoreRelaxing and pleasant environment. Best Florentina I ever ate, melted in my mouth. The tomato soup, potatoes and chefs special dessert are delicious as well. I highly recommend that you stop in and eat here if you happen to find yourself in Florence.
MoreThe food at this trattoria was good, but the wait staff as a whole was rude. We have had great experiences during our stays in Rome and Florence. My husband and I are both friendly and have had very positive dining throughout our trip except for Angiolino. I actually felt that they didn’t care if we stayed or left. It ruined our last night in Florence. We ate quickly and went back to the hotel early.
MoreGreat dinner for one. First, in a city that is difficult to get a table for one during prime time, this restaurant knocks it out of the park. I was fortunate enough to get a booth but if you’re not, don’t despair they have a few places set at the bar.My food was fantastic. The chocolate torte was the perfect end to a pleasurable meal.Thank you!
MoreNice placeGood simple foodGreat service. A little pricey but worth it.
Four of us had dinner here. Two out of the four meals were good.I had the ravioli with/ truffle and it was excessively salty, I would not order it again simply because of the level of salt. The spaghetti w/ clams, prawns and cherry tomatoes was missing the prawns. It was loaded with clams. It was nice but wouldnt write home to mom about it.The veal steak beef slices dishes were great and the roastie potatoes were amazing! "Probably the best potatoes Ive ever had" -SallyThe service was quite slow at the start but once we ordered our meals were out quick. The pistachio ice cream as dessert was delicious. All in all I would return for a second meal.
MoreVery good authentic Tuscan trattoria. Maurizio was great!
Quick service, good food, OK prices. Muricans seem to be complaining in the reviews because theyre only used to the $8-burger joint around the corner, but the Trattoria Angiolino is definitely recommended!
MoreThe service was very friendly. The flavours are a bit strong, so if you like strong flavours this would be good.
MoreFabulous service, very authentic food and interior ambiance is cozy. The spaghetti arrabiatta was phenomenal, along with the cheesecake. As is typical in Florence, no wine by the glass, but you can get a half bottle, ~3 glasses.
MoreGreat service and some real deal local food!
A friend of mine from Padova sent me here for the T-bone (Florentine styleand it was AMAZING. It was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. It was more food than I should have eaten but I noticed 3 desert dishes arriving at the table next to me and the waiter said all were great but I should try the cheesecake. It was a great way to top a great meal is all I can say. If ever in Florence again, I will make this stop.
