Nice service. Florentine steak is not just food, its a show. Their tiramisu must be among the top ones in Florence.

Steak Florentine was amazing. Starters and sides were very good. Gunfire, ravioli, and other dishes were great. Service was fantastic. Great place!

If you want genuine Italian food like dining with family, then this is the place to go. Of course, you get the humongous slab of beef prepared to your taste, but don’t stop there. The fish and pasta are fabulous, too, and the wine selection is amazing. Do try the tiramisu, it is second to none. However, it is not a cheap eatery. Quality comes at price - this is downtown Florence after all.

Absolutely wonderful! Best restaurant we ate at in Florence. Service and atmosphere were top class. The fresh pasta was exactly what you would imagine authentic delicious Italian pasta to be! Highly recommend!! We chose the restaurant due to the 4.7 google reviews and it definitely deserves at least that if not the full 5/5!

The steak was just astonishingly amazing! Both the flavour and texture were perfect. Recommend to couple it with a glass of Chianti classico.The tiramisu was also exceptional!A 7 star recommendations for a florentine steak dinner.

Food is amazing. Had octopus which was very fresh and sirloin steak with truffle. The steak was cooked to perfection very delicious. The waiters were very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Italy for over two weeks, but Sant Ambrogio will go down as one of our favourite experiences. The service itself was the biggest highlight as the multiple servers we had were so polite, great conversationalists (in Englishand provided us with nice add-ons to our dining experience (especially the two aperitifs). The food was equally as memorable for my wife and I. The steak is divine and something that any visitor to Firenze needs to consume. Lastly, the tiramisu. We ate this Italian dessert across the country and this was hands down the best iteration we ever had. You have to try it. Thank you to the staff at Sant Ambrogio! We look forward to coming back again.

We have been on a road trip through Italy and this place is without a doubt one of the best places weve been to. Cosy, friendly, great food and a lot for the dime. Highly recommended!

Best meal we had in Italy.Excellent service, helped us pick a great meal and wine without upselling and was warm and friendly as well as professional throughout. The quality of the food was superb especially the Florentine steak which exceeded my expectations being perfectly cooked and delicious with a hint of flair in the tableside carving. Bellisimo!!

Wow what an absolutely lovely experience dining here was. By far one of our favourite meals in europe. The service is exceptional, the staff are so friendly, the food came out super quick and everything was delicious. So happy we came here we will cherish it forever and recommend to all our friends.We had antipasti of Octopus and the cold meats with a delicious cheese, mains were the ravioli and the smokey steak. The side dishes were cooked veggies and crispy potatoes, followed by tiramisu. Yum!!!

Perfect restaurant. If you like meat- this is the palace. Bissteca ala Fiorentina is incredible!!! Best in Florence. Fetucini is perfect too. Unbelievable place for eat! Recommend!

Most amazing service and food! Read many other reviews of other places to eat and people saying “best meal in Florence”. Would love to know where else they had eaten... because we had tried them and left disappointed with bland food. However this place was simply amazing!! Felt welcomed, service was amazing and food incredible!! A 5* review truly worthy of 5* compared to other places we tried!Well worth the walk from our hotel.Starter was amazing from simple ingredients. The duck with orange sauce pasta was beautiful. Finally the desert we shared was like no tiramisu I had ever had!So good I actually bothered to leave a review!

Possibly the best dining experience we had during our time in Tuscany. Both the pappardelle with wild boar and the, delightful smokey, filetto di manza were delicious. Customer service was impeccable.

Delicious T-bone steak, and reasonable price for the quality and quantity. Two options of 48 euros and 58 euros for the smallest portion size of 990g it is still a great price for that much steak.The steak itself doesnt come with anything else so you have to buy a side to go along with it, I got the asparagus which was really good.The place is romantic, quiet and even while busy, able to accommodate. Even with a line of people ahead of me, I was seated quickly.Staff was polite friendly and quick.I recommend this place if youre looking to enjoy some famous Florence T-bone steak.

Our first afternoon in Florence and had lunch here. They were not busy but our server, Leo was very talented. His works (wine cork artdecorated the walls and his friendliness, service and patience won us over. Food was also good. Definitely a place to go to.

Not sure where all the people with great reviews went but this is a pretty disappointing place with poor quality food. Starters took 2 seconds to show up in our table (octopus and tartareso the quality was not good at all. Main course was pasta and the show went on. Best thing in the restaurant was the wine so try somewhere else

Everything is special. I went to this restaurant with my Japanese friends and had a precious time. They are friendly and gentle. Their dishes are so great. If you wanna have a special night, you should choose this!Attention. In my opinion, you should order desserts. So many people skip it but if you do , you’ll regret it.

One of the best meals I ate on my trip in Florence! I was with my family of 10 members and we were ordering stuff to take out for New Years Eve. The restaurant staff was amazing about it! We came in, gave them our order (which was quite large because we were 10 people), then they let us sit across the street at the hotel with a glass of wine, and only 20 minutes later ALL of our food was prepared and ready to go. I was pleasantly surprised. And the food tasted just as great as it looks in the pictures. I HIGHLY recommend coming here, the food is definitely worth it!

We ate here several times during our stay in Florence, we kept coming back because the food is so amazing! Every time we came we were served by Leo, he is so charismatic, fun and informative. All of the staff will go out of their way to make your experience the best. This is a local, family owned restaurant and we met the mom and several of the brothers that run the restaurant, they are all so nice! And again the food is absolutely wonderful, everything is incredible!!!

The best resturant we went to on our trip to Florence. Food was exquisite, atmosphere and music in the background were great. However the thing that really made it truly stand out were the staff. Some of the most friendly accommodating staff anywhere. Well worth the cost.

Very good dishes, specially the steak with foie gras, truffles and Porto wine.. The service was very thoughtful and the place is very chaming... prices are high but correct for the quality. Possible to reserve through the fork which is a plus!!

Pleasant stylish restaurant with delicious well presented food, quick service, attentive staff & reasonable prices.We were a family of four (two teenage boys& all enjoyed the food & the occasion.Only minor quibble was - our table & the table beside us were both delivered meals intended for others due to understaffing (although this was efficiently resolved).

Easily the best meal we had in Firenzie Impeccable service combined with truly delicious flavors. Every course stood out as a shining example of what happens when food is lovingly crafted. Most notably the risotto was absolutely perfect and the steak took it to another level.

Fantastic dinning experience for the cost, we had antipasti, il primo, and due secondo, for under 80 euro, in addition to wine and coffee. The food was fresh and delicious, the style of the restaurant was more of an Italian fusion.

This place feels a bit odd to me. Nothing really Italian about it. Music in English, menu in English and a pretty ordinary menu. The food was nice and service good. But the place was almost empty and those who were eating were mostly from other countries. No Italians in sight. Felt a bit like a tourist restaurant.

Decent service. Thinks its fancier than it is. Definitely overpriced as far as quality. Food presentation is nice. Desert was relatively disappointing, but edible. Pork dish and potatoes were fine, but the relatively simple pasta dish in our party was pretty disappointing/lacking. Other stuff was fine but fairly unexciting. Bit of a tourist trap, I think, as it looks pretty nice/promising from the outside. Not the worst place to eat, but there are definitely better places to spend your money. If you dont mind a Pescatarian (vegetarian except for fishmenu, Ruths (a lovely Jewish placeacross the street is probably a better bet, though not traditional Italian fare, obviously.Wouldnt go here a second time.

Lovely place with a very pleasant environment. Both the dishes and the service were perfects. We liked it so much that we have repeated the experience. On our first time we tasted the famous t-bone steak and on our second time we ordered a risotto, a tagliatelli with mushrooms and a grilled beef with roasted potators. At the end they offered us a limoncello. Definitivelly a must go restaurant during your stay in florence.
