Ristorante Pizzeria Gaetano Adamo Napoli in Villaricca

Kind of strange place. Food was ok, but the service was dissapointing. The waiter forgot one of the orders and when he realised his mistake he hide in the back of the restaurant and we did not see his face again.

Great place, only few meters from Garibaldi square….Restaurant is very nice, stuff is great, like a price….and pizza is wow….one of the best pizza I ever eat!

I went to this restaurant with my daughter. The Pizza was delicious. However, I will give 0 stars for customer service. The waiter ( male, about 25 years oldwas extremely rude. The first time, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However, the second time, I realised he was not well-mannered and didnt know what customer service was. It doesnt matter how great the food was, but the experience was unpleasant. Therefore, Ill not recommend this restaurant because dining out is not just about the food; it is about the whole experience.

We found Gaetano Adamo randomly, tried multiple dishes, everything tasted great. The place has a good atmosphere and the staff was nice too. The smell in the entire restaurant was heavenly.

2 stars not for the pizza but the rude service. The waiter did not take our takeaway order at first and then quite rudely asked to get out and wait. So much for manners.

The pizza Margharita we had was very good - one of the best I had in Naples.The concept of the restaurant is not really clear. The have 2 separate cards at the same place. So when you have Pizza then you get another menu and it is not possible to order a bottle of wine from the restaurant list. That was our experience and also the service was not very good - maybe they had a bad day. We didn’t feel very welcome. The pizza oven is directly in the middle of the restaurant and the pizza chef was very nice, had fun and let me do some pictures.

Everything was fine, but … they divided the restaurant in two - a pasta restaurant and a pizza place. Not in the location or service, but in menue. So if you want to have a pizza, you cannot drink the wine from the other menue, which is related to pasta. When you have pizza, there are just 4 types of wine and less selection. That’s kinda annoying and unnecessary imho. On the other side the food was delicious. One of the best Pizza Margherita I had in Napoli. Wine tasted fine as well. Prize was really fair (4 glasses wine, 1 bottle water, 2 Pizza Margherita= 45€.Service was good as well. Location is easy to reach from main station. Looks small from outside, but has plenty of room inside (several rooms appear after enteringI think it is also good to access wheelchair. There is just one step to get in, everything else is even.So please get rid of the hassle with the menues and you deserve 5 ⭐️

Waited for food more than an hour with 2 of my friends. Food is eh, okay, nothing special. If youre in Naples for a few days, avoid this place. If Vesuvius erupts and this is the last place to go to for food, you may then eat here.

Awesome host. Took the time to explain ingredients for his pizza. He is very motivated to make the best pizza, and his pizza reflects the quality he strives for!

My point is 3 out of 5 because the food is very authentic and delicious but the service is just awful.

The pizza here is delicious! They have so many choices and once you order it only takes a few minutes for the food to arrive. You can absolutely tell that the quality of ingredients are above average and the person making the pizza takes pride is his skill. It truly was some of the best pizza in my time in Italy.

Really disappointed. My moms pasta was so salty she couldnt eat it. My pasta was OK but upset my stomach. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant.

The food, the service and the restaurant is perfect. We had dinner here four times and we were never disappointed. The food was delicious. The waiters were friendly and helpful, the place was clean. We will definitely stop by next time when we visit Naples again.

Speechless. Really struggling to find words to describe this place. This is not pizza, it’s culinary art. The chef should have a Michelin star. Goosebumps with every bite.What you see in the picture is a Vesuvio pizza.Edit: I was curious to see the bad reviews after our experience was so great and must say that the service was like clockwork, super polite staff. (although we arrived there very late, almost at closing time). The food also arrived quickly.A hidden gem in the heart of Napoli.It’s the type of experience for which I’ll likely buy a plane ticket for a day or two just to experience this again.

We ate here because it was close to our accommodation, close to the train station in Garibaldi Square. We largely chose it because of the reviews which seemed pretty good, but we were sadly disappointed. Initially, we were welcomed warmly, and seated towards the rear of the restaurant. The menu was only accessible via qr code, there was no paper menu, but the waiter took time to explain the menu as best as he could. Up to this point, this is why my review has earned 2 stars. Following our order, service was slow and we were largely ignored, the food when it arrived was bland and tasteless (Spaghetti carbonara and Amatriciana, which was supposed to be spicy, it wasnt). Requests for extra pepper were ignored, the atmosphere was non existent, and after 2 weeks exploring the Amalfi coast and Naples region this was easily the worst restaurant we have eaten in. Only the warm welcome and initial help with the menu warrant the 2 stars, otherwise Id give none at all.

got a pizza and a cup of wine for 23eur, the taste was good, just an average pizza of the region (in other places in the city you will find better, cheaper and biggeranyway I was still hungry and for less I have eat more. They charge extra for sitting.

Just had our very first pizza in Naples at Ristorante Gaetano Adamo. The pizza was amazing and needless to say we were both very satisfied and happy.The restaurant itself is quite clean and presentable and the staff are welcoming and accommodating. This place was insanely good. Ricotta stuffed crust? Yes please. And not only that but it’s the creamiest ricotta I’ve ever had. Sauce was delightfully savory, yet light. Delicious toppings all around. Also cute, clean atmosphere, a legit pizza oven, and AIR CONDITIONING. 10/10

We have had our 3 dinners in a row here in Gaetano. The pasta and pizzas were amazing. Margarita is by far the best pizza I have ever eaten! Definitely must go! The staff was friendly! Gracie!

This was my favorite restaurant in all of Italy because the people are nice, the pizza is delicious, and the pasta is something I will dream about. If you are looking for Napoli-style, wood fired pizza, this is the place! Very clean and reasonably priced, too.

Voted best pizza in Italy! By me! Let me explain. My wife and I traveled the entire country on scooters (6000kmin spring of 22. We started in Milan and visited approximately 100 cities and towns and stayed at about 30 hotels. We had some form of pizza almost every day. We werent on an official search of any kind, just looking for decent food that stood out. We had some good, some terrible but one place stood out WAY above all the rest: Gaetano Adamo in Naples. We found about this place as an accidental reference from a hotel manager who lives near the restaurant. He told us "go and tell Nando to make you a great pizza". We did just that and were blown away! The taste of every ingredient stood out, even the crust had superb flavor and was cooked perfectly. We liked it so much we came back each day! I took the time to talk the owner, Nando about his concept. Simple he said: the best ingredients, regardless of cost and "light" pizzas - no overwhelming ingredients, not too many at once (most pizzas have 2-4 toppings). I can only say he pizzas win best in Italy, no other place comes close. Oh, his restaurant is spotlessly clean and very well decorated with a simple and bright feel. Just like his pizza! His pride is overflowing and it shows in every bite!

We visited this place 3 times while staying in Napoli. Food was excellent every single time, but service got worse every time. On 3rd visit, after our order was taken, we were forgotten for 1 hour. And when I asked when our food would arrive then answer was always Right away. Finally it did arrive but second course first, then pasta and appetizers were forgotten at all.

Hidden gem in Napoli! Pizza and past were so delicious that we had to come back for more. Owner is super friendly and we had a great time spending our dinner there. Just love it!

The table wasn’t clean. The digital menu only had pizzas but i could see pasta dishes in the restaurant so maybe it was in a separate menu that wasn’t offered to me. I tried the potato croquettes and margarita pizza they were both nice. The staff is friendly and i asked them to delay my food as i was fasting and they managed to bring my food at the right time.

I have never had a pizza like this before. They have all the classics (and there were Italians in the restaurant, so they have to be authentic), but we wanted to try how a pizza with zucchini puree instead of pomodoro would taste like. Ill definitely have it again. :)

I dont understand why anyone on this feed would put anything less then 4 star for this place thats a dam lie! This place is amazing Ive never had such a unique and quality pizza all in one. I had the seafood pizza which was amazing and I also had a pistachio pizza which was amazing too. If your around try this place out dont be fooled by these dam ratings trust me this place is great!!!

We had a very good, original Napolean stone oven pizza. Two Capricciosa with two cokes for 20 €. The Pizzas was as thin as it has to be. Staff was very friendly and tried to speak English

Fresh bright Italian pizza restaurant with fast friendly service. With limited English on their part and limit Italian on our part we managed to order a couple of delicious pizzas in no time.
