Ottima cena, locale accogliente in pieno centro. Abbiamo scelto il menu di pesce, antipasti e primi ottimi. Dessert spettacolosi da non perdere (noi abbiamo scelto zuppa inglese e crema cotta)

Went for a bolagnese and a lasagna. Both very good, we appeared to be the only tourists here which was a plus. Seeing all the other dishes coming out for other people made me drool a little bit...

Un bel locale, vivo e dinamico. Un posto perfetto per una pausa pranzo anche veloce, ma non obbligatoriamente. A cena suggerisco di prenotare. Cucina sapiente, attenta e gustosa. Un bel assortimento di etichette completa unofferta appagante.

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant abseits der Touristenströme ein paar Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Wir kommen wieder!

Un restaurante magnífico para una cena tranquila. Espectaculares los cozze (mejillones), no solamente están buenos en Galicia. Pedimos también tagliatelle al ragú y riquísimos.

Eccezionale, abbiamo mangiato li ieri sera in due.. Il tris di marinati è delicatissimo è i fiori di zucchine ripieni di mousse di gamberi sono qualcosa di speciale.. In primi sono fatti con materia prima di qualità e freschissima.. Purtroppo non abbiamo assaggiato i secondi perché eravamo già pieni con i primi, il dolce crema cotta con le noccioline è una festa per il palato, se andate al Matusel Consiglio che concludiate il vostro pasto con un bel liquore al fichi dIndia FATTO IN CASA che è unico il servizio è veloce,presente e cordiale ma soprattutto professionale..il cameriere Peppino sa il fatto suo. Consigliatissimo

A me non è andata troppo bene. Forse perché era una cena di più di 10 persone. O era una sera no. Risotto ai funghi impresentabile. Orata al cartoccio non allaltezza. Vino rosso in caraffa freddissimo e non sufficiente. Speriamo vada meglio la prossima volta...

Che dire il Top. Grande professionalità, gentilezza. Un menù ottimo, pesce buonissimo. Sanno consigliarti con estrema sincerità. Vini buoni. La prossima volta che tornerò a Bologna sarà sicuramente una tappa, obbligatoria per il gusto. Complimenti

We have a very pleasant experience having dinner at Matusel. Food was delicious, the waiter (a friendly guytook his time to explain the menu to us and gave nice suggestions.We made a reservation online, easily, although when we arrived there was plenty of space.A place to come back when visiting Bologna.

The service was very helpful and explained the whole menu, but could have given more time for us to decide.The food was delicious, yet more vegetarian dishes would be better, for second course they could only offer cooked vegetables.Overall the restaurant gives you a warm atmosphere.

Friendliest staff with an english speaking owner served delicious seafood, and are wonderfully accommodating. I cant eat gluten or nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, eggplant - I know...what am I doing eating out in Italy of all places?!which was in the majority of the dishes, so the owner grilled me an entire orata in olive oil and then even deboned it perfectly for me. So moist and flavorful. I asked for a veggie contorni and he brought me broccoli and spinach. yum. I started with the spiciest and largest serving of pepata in cozze ever while my husband dug into his cernia ravioli. Both great. He had the fish in potato secondi and loved it.Great wine selection and we chose a sulfite free red. We ended the meal with homemade licorice and mint amaros. Dont miss out on these treats. I recommend the restaurant if you are in Bologna.Have opinions; Will share.

Delicious food, very nice staff. Exceptional and creative meals that you don’t find everywhere. Unremarkable from the outside, but what is served inside matters! Total recommendation and we’ll dine here again for sure!

È stata una bellissima scoperta. È un posticino bello nuovo e arredato con ottimo gusto. Abbiamo mangiato due antipasti e due primi di mare più i dolci. Tutto buonissimo 😋. Il proprietario ed il personale è molto cortese e molto simpatici. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Amazing place, really nice decorations and interesting paintings. The waiters were really nice and very helpful with their recomendations. We shared little octopus (which was delicious), tuna and shrimp tartar and mussels. For the main courses, to me the best one was the tortellini, but all of it was absolutely delicious. We toped the night with some delicious desserts (chocolate cake my favoriteand Limoncello. If you go to Bologna, 100% recommended.

Bellissima scoperta! Personale cortese e attento, pesce freschissimo e porzioni abbondanti. Rapporto qualità prezzo perfetto. Avremmo potuto saziarci anche soltanto con il secondo di Polpo per due, un vero e proprio piacere per occhi e palato! Lasciate un posticino per i dolci perché meritano anche quelli. Bravi!

Firstly, I want to say that we waited for food long time, mostly for local people not for tourist. And the worst thing there was a hair in my food. Staff were unfriendly. And the street seems crapy.

Great restaurant. Was a bit empty when we were there but the food more than made up for it. Would defintely recommend if youre looking for seafood in Bologna.

This restaurant has a small street terrace but also a nice patio garden at the back. The menu has a good range of excellent choices so you will find something to please all tastes. There is an extensive wine list with some good local wines as well as other regions of Italy. The busy staff take time to make you welcome.

Excellent service, delightful food, good prices. I strongly recommend their tagliatelle with ragu (for non Italians this is the equivalent of spaghetti bolognese), also delicious were their tortelloni in cream/herb sauce. I dont have a picture of their mini octopusses because they disappeared before I was able to take out the camera. For dessert I strongly recommend their semifreddo. Also panna cotta was great. But grape schnapps (grappa giallamade my day; so smooth and tasty.

I went there with two other people. Their 3 tartares out of menu were really nice. Unfortunately my ravioli with seafood were not only at the same level, but probably frozen and not exactly tasty. Also my friend shrimps and calamari werent good. House wine was good.

I have been there while in Bologna with my partner and friends and we absolutely love it! Thanks to a local friend of mine who showed us the place, we had the chance having an amazing meal here.The service is professional and extremely friendly. The waiter and the owner spoke excellent english and the menu is translated, so dont worry about the language if you plan to come here.Also I suggest to ask for the house wine, they have an amazing Pignoletto, which the fizzy version is the closest thing to prosecco you can find! Oh I almost forgot to mention the house wine is not by the bottle, but by the quantity, they have it on tap! You can easily ask for a litre of white and one of red (Lambrusco is my suggestionif you cant make up your mind.The quality of the food its amazing and this is the only restaurant in Bologna where we had a meal twice!The tagliatelle with ragù are mouthwatering but my favorite were the Ravioli, stuffed with Grouper and literally covered in seafood! Spectacular!If you never had deep fried courgettes flower, give it a try as a starter to the ones they serve here: they are stuffed with prawns! Just gorgeous!

The food at Matusel is so delicious, and the nicest people work there! The restaurant was once a brothel, and the decor tastefully alludes to its sordid past. A favorite in Bologna!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. The food was wonderful (seafood-stuffed fried zucchini blossoms, gnocchi with clams and artichoke), the wine advice perfect, and they didnt make a solo diner feel like a leper. Just wish Id discovered it earlier.

Oh yes, what a wonderful place. The Matusel is in a small alley, its easy to miss it, but its worth looking for it. The service was top notch, they were nice to our kids, and the food was really really good. The interior is kind of crazy, but nice. Totally worth checking out.

I ate better tagliatele al ragu than here. I was expecting more because is the traditional dish of Bologna.

We stayed 4 days. The nice waitress recommended so nice things. Loved the cuttlefish with aubergine. Best among we went.
