Ristorante Buca Niccolini in Florence

There’s something here for everyone. They’ve got steaks, pasta of all kinds, gnocchi, lasagna, they even have soups and salads, a sight for sore eyes for me here in Italy! The cream of asparagus is delicious. I cannot recommend it enough. The spinach gnocchi is tasty. Oh, and the portions are really well sized. For the price? You can’t go wrong with this place!

The food was good and I would say the price is good as well. I had a big giant steak and its only €18.50 you wouldnt get that in the US. The service was excellent. The staffs are attentative. Also this restaurant is close to the Duomo so you would have a nice view of the church.

Great food, good service and good vibes. I was suspicious at first when I saw the never ending menu, but I was surprised that the dishes were so good.

Perfect restaurant. Surprised me and my wife . Super nice waiter, We sat outside, order 2 primo piat, perfect macaroni 1 with seafood and other with mushroom and sausage.Incredible cheese cake with chocolate.

Surprisingly enough this place was amazing and was not a tourist trap (like many of the restaurants so close to the Duomo can be)!The service was great and the salmon penne and crostini al mare were super!

Excellent restaurant! They managed to accommodate 40 of us the night before our wedding. service was excellent as was the food. will eat there again.

We ate here one evening as it was near our apartment, it was exceptionally delicious food and so we returned the following night. The staff seem happy and like they are enjoying themselves also which creates a happy environment to dine.

Pizza was very goood. We really like and the staff very helpfull. The only bad point they take service fee. You should consider !!

the best food, we ate scalloppine al limone and traditional bistecca a la fiorentina and of course the best tiramisu ,the best position, the best staff...everything was perfect...we will be back!!!

The food here can be best described as okay. I ordered the risotto but it wasnt properly cooked. The rice was stiff and not as creamy as it should be in risotto. My wife ordered the carbonara and the taste was a bit thin. The service was good though.

The place looked fancy but service is not as good as it seemed. We, a family of four, ordered a lunch. 3 meals came at a usual phase but they got mine wrong. I ordered calzone, but they made a pizza. Thus took more waiting time. The pastas seemed to be microwaved. Not the experience I was hoping for

Really good dishes, and reasonable prices. The staff is nice, and 10 seconds away from Piazza Duomo. The Florentine style beef steak is a must try. Delicious and juicy, even for those among you who like your beef well done.

Loved sitting indoors as the ambience was relaxing. I had the lemon sorbet which was very refreshing on a hot day.

We had breakfast here (California Chick and Lovely Sharing). It was good, the service was pleasant and fast. The orange juice was a little bit watered, but what we ordered was overall filling and satisfying. The pancakes were my favourites.

The restaurant is absolutely amazing. The staff is really nice and caring. The food was amazing we had the vegetarian lasagna and a portion of a normal lasagna and both were extremely delicious. The food is also for a good price given that its in the city center. I was really surprised by the amount of choices they have for vegetarian meals and normal meat meals as well. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone vegetarian visiting Florence.

First "family" meal in Italy. The staff were friendly and funny. The food was pretty good. I got the steak covered in a pepper sauce. The peppercorns really made the dish sing. Also, had the melon and prosciutto appetizer. Very tasty. Melon was perfect.

BEWARE- Both my colleague and I received horrible food poisoning here. Got one of their “specialties” that was so over cooked it was inedible and then a few bites through our pizza we discovered that there were hundreds of tiny sardine bones throughout the Entire thing. Only realized after sharp spines in teeth and throat. Then we both threw up less than an hour later and 3 days later still recovering. Old fish or improper handling. Completely disgusting and worst food I had in Florence by far. Go outside tourist central, do some research, and get some real food. 0 stars if I could

Gluten-free Pizza is ok. You can choose any pizza to be gluten-free, but its 2,50 Euro more and they didnt mention that... Service and Waiting time was ok.

Fantastic breakfast with a very kind and courteous waitress named Paola. 12 euros but includes eggs, bacon, toast, salad, americano and a delicious desert! My wife’s truffle omelet was truly exquisite. Highly recommended! My kids can’t stop raving about it!

The worst food I had in Florence by far. Pizza was made by the waiters - it was flavorless and tasted like material. Rest of the food was very questionable looking. I don’t know how this has such a high rating nor the photos looked like what we ate. Would NOTTTT come jere

Great restaurant. Surprised me. Menu is super long, reminded me of The Cheesecake Factory in the U.S. with their long list of choices. Food was good tasting. Super nice waiter (and musician). We sat in the lower part of the restaurant. Nice ambiance. As we walked to pay for the meal, the nice lady gave us a Limoncello drink. Just because.

We had the most amazing dinner at Buca Niccolini this evening! The food was superb and the drinks perfect. The waiters were all charming and helpful, especially Kevin. We were even treated to a free Limoncello to end our meal! Such a treat to end our stay in Firenze with this delicious and enjoyable dinner! Grazie mille, Buca Niccolini!

We loved it! We stumbled upon this place by mistake, wondering on the streets of Florence, and it instantly lured us in. The experience was exquisite: kind and friendly, yet professional staff, quick delivery of orders, DELICIOUS food, a vast menu, fair price-quality ratio, movie-like florentine ambiance, discrete lighting, candlelight, great wine...will definitely go back!

Ate here like 6 times during our stay in Florence. Food was great every time, tiramisu is a bit different to what you find in Rome, it wasnt to our taste, but the other deserts are top notch. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with great prices (especially since it is in a rather touristy location). They have plenty of vegetarian and meat options so everyone will find something they like. I loved my pesto gnocchi and the caramel panna cotta. Definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area.

We had dinner and it was so good that we went back for lunch before we leave the city, Kevin was our first waiter and he was beyond amazing he made the pizza for us (it was his firstand I am sure he will be the great, the pizza was beyond good.The second time we had a cute and great waitress Maria, the kind and the very helpful guiding that she had is just perfect and give the amazing touch to this incredible and highly recommended place to try.

Ordered the spaghetti Ubriachi, a great portion and compared to the other things ordered on the menu, one of the strongest dishes they have. The seafood however was not fresh, probably frozen, which is understandable since Florence is not a coastal town. A reasonable price for a restaurant literally steps away from Il Duomo. I had the Lambrusco for wine which is from the Lombard region but it was pretty good.

This is my favorite restaurant in Florence! They are always so warm and welcoming. They have the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. I ate here tonight, they were full but brought a table from the basement to make space for me. :-cannot recommend highly enough! Grazie !

I came here several times over the course of my study abroad trip. The food is delicious and the service is the best. Mika, Comino, and Diego always take such good care of us. The view is amazing right next to the Duomo. If you’re in Florence, you have to come here.

Excellent food, prices as youd expect. At first I was afraid of the size of the meal, but it really settled and Im full even 2h after.Man working there with smile on his face, very pleasant.

Amazing quality of food. Tons of vegetarian options and Also many vegan options. Great house wine. Fresh products and friendly Staff. Vegetarian and gluten free options are clearly labeled.

We sat on the street with its lovely view of the cathedral. We were apprehensive at first due to the touristy look of the restaurant. However, our waitress was attentive and we were served incredibly quickly! The bread was hard and the crust not good. Couldnt tell if this was the way it is, or just old. Besides that, the food was AMAZING. We had 2 steak dinners and a liter of wine for under 50 euro. The steaks are MASSIVE and were cooked rare just like we ordered them. So good we came back the next night for pasta and pizza. The truffle ravioli was exceptional, and we were greeted by the same great service. Would return on future trips to Florence

She was very friendly and attentive to our requests as we have peanut allergy. We got a pizza and seafood pasta. Both were exceptional.. prices are really good and seems so cheap for what your getting.Thank you for an amazing meal..

Great spot for breakfast! Great value for the breakfast for two! A little bit of everything: eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, coffee/tea, and a fresh squeezed juice. Fun motto: make food not war.Our waitress was very sweet. We would eat here again!

Friendly staff, great dishes and quick service. No baby change available and toilets are small but theres a great gluten free menu available. They double checked any menus with the chef to make sure that itd fit our needs and were proactive but not pushy.We didnt make a reservation but if you go around popular times, I would try to make one.Pizza is very well made and staff spoke perfect English.
