Ristorante Boutique Vetreria La Vetreria in Florence
Description
Privilege
Fabulous food and wine. Service was great and the right degree of attentiveness. Would highly recommend.
MoreI will never forget this delicious Napolitain Pizza! Also the ambiente of this restaurant is just amazing and beautiful. The service is extremely friendly. If I could give 6 stars I would do so :-)
MoreSimply the best..We had booked to another restaurant but when we saw it we decide to go in.. it was amazing!!The chef welcome us from the frame and the service was very professional. The food was unbelievable and the stuff fantastic . One more reason to go to Florence again. Definitely recommend!!
MoreWe had the Irish florentine steak here and it was wonderful; the meat was just so delicious, as were the sides and the other dishes we ordered (a pizza margherita and the coccoli - fried pizza dough with stracchino). We had an absolutely delicious meal, but the staff were the biggest stars I think. They were so friendly and helpful; we were there with a small child and they were just lovely to him and made our experience more enjoyable.
MoreFreshly made pasta right here. Pappardelle was absolutely delicious. Service was great too. They make their own bread, hot out the oven, complimentary. Steak is great too. Will definitely come back again
MoreVery good service and very good food. Prices a bit spicy but in line with the pretention of the restaurant. I think you will not be dissapointed here. Reccomend++
MoreWe had dinner at this venue, recommended by a local. It was a good recommendation. We ordered the Filetto, a Hamburguer, Evoluzione di Pasta, and a plate of prosciutto crudo (not a menu item-all plates were very good to excellent. The restaurant was full when we arrived and the host gave us a complimentary glass of prossecco to enjoy while we waited for a table, which was ready 15 minutes later. The service was courteous and friendly. The food was fresh, prepared as requested, particularly the meat plates, and served quickly. They also have a full complement of steaks, which I didnt enjoy, but the cuts looked exquisite. When I asked for the check, the waitress offered a complimentary shot of limoncello, which was fantastic! Great restaurant, dont hesitate to have your meal there.
MoreThe pizza is probably the best in Toscana! All other dishes we had were very tasty as well ! Both The pasta with tomato and basil, the pasta with clams were exquisite! Great selection of wines as well ! Highly recommended !
MoreReally welcoming, stylish restaurant. The first visit was not too lucky, waited more than half an hour to order, even after asking twice. Starters were good but nothing extraordinary. Mains: scallops cold and really not enough if you are hungry(no main dish for me,would be better declared as a starterand served cold(they took it off from the bill which was really kind. Burger was ordered medium, but was brought to the table mainly well done. Pizza wasn’t available which was not noticed before we made the reservation. Just were informed while ordering our food. BUT : do yourself a favour and try the pappardelle with meat sauce. They are outstanding!! And that was the reason why we came back a 2nd time. Mindblowing dish, truly! Go and get that!
MoreThe service was amazing, the waiter was super attentive and nice! The steak tasted amazing but it was a bit chewy and we said that after which he brought us basically another big piece of steak as „sorry“! Really, this basically never happens for such an expensive product! The wine was also amazing, quite recommend the place.
MoreExcellent service, quality and communication.
Lovely dinner and delicious steak. Didn’t take a photo unfortunately as was too hungry but very happy with the experience. Staff were lovely also.
MoreWe got their at 11 and they had already started closing the kitchen so we could only get pizzas and starters. The pizzas tasted good but they had to much olive oil and some water was floating on top. The beef tartar wasnt good. It had no seasoning or anything in the meat. Tasted more like beef sashimi. Service was very good. They had great air conditioning. Restaurant ambiance also very nice.
MoreFound this restaurant accidentally, but I’m not disappointed at all. Food here was great, and so was the service. Nothing much to say really, amazing place and you should check it out!
MoreThe service was good (they don’t speak a lot of English and they apologized for that). I would NOT RECOMMEND the tasting menu. The oysters were too fishy and funky and the cod dish was only ok. The pizzas and pastas were the best and we should have just ordered a la carte. Not the best meal but a fun spot for a pizza or pasta and wine. The dessert was amazing.
MoreLocal recommended it to us. Unique dining experience with elevated Florentine cuisine. The risotto is worth every penny.
MoreDuring our stay in Florence this restaurant was highly recommended to us by the locals. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. The service was absolutely amazing from the start and the food was phenomenal. We had the most gracious service from Erica & Kady who recommended delicious dishes and were so kind and friendly. If you get the chance dont hesitate to visit Ristorante Vetreria!
MoreLoved it. Food and service were outstanding. Very good wine selection.
Poor experience, the bread with olive oil was much tastier than the very expensive tiny portion of the scallops. Other portions at the table were “gourmet” size as well so perhaps I wasn’t ready enough for this.
MoreGreat selection of wine and tasty unique foods. Everyone in the family was super happy with the meal. We had the beef tartar to start. 2 pizzas, 1 homemade pasta and meat sauce and 1 eel.
MoreTomato pasta and pizza was so good!I forgot to take a photo of pizza😂
Very nice staff!Amazing pizza!Great wine
Had a great time here, with great food, ambience and highly attentive service! We went here for a date night and shared a 1.4kg bistecca which was cooked beautifully and well seasoned, and 2 entrees being the beef heart and mullet sashimi, and the beef tartare with foie gras and truffle which was a standout!
MoreWe had a decent meal here. Lovely wine, food for us was a little underwhelming. Asked for a smaller steak when it was presented and felt forced into it when we stated it might be a little too big. Sure enough we couldn’t eat it all. Service was nice and attentive but needed some work on delivery.
MoreGreat service, best pasta Ive ever had. A bit pricy, but I thought it was worth the money
MoreIt was so good we went back twice! This place has fresh pasta, some of the best pizza we’ve ever had and really good wines to match. Other than that the atmosphere and service were fantastic (Khady spoiled us with lots of little extras and her lovely personality!). Would definitely go here if you’re looking for a fun and delicious night!
MoreGreat Restaurant, very friendly staff! The „La Bistecca“ was fantastic and the Pizzas for the kids as well. Highly recommended!
MoreBeautiful experience thanks to tasty food and perfect Italian service (meaning "smiling, passionate about food and helpful in choosing the best dishes"). The menu is a little bit more sophisticated that you might want / expect in central Firenze but if you start getting a little bit fed up with pizze, pasta and bistecca, give this place a try. Nb. Despite being this close to the Duomo, the price range is strangely totally ok.
MoreExcellent in every regard! Our table of 4 shared everything. We had pizza (the best we’ve tried in Florence without a doubt), duck (marvelous, served with apple reduction), a pasta dish with meat sauce, and a T-bone steak, locally sourced (so good, mild, perfectly prepared). Excellent, kind service!
MoreFun atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend.
My wife and I just had a wonderful meal at Ristorante Vetreria . I had noticed this beautiful small restaurant as it was only a block from San Firenze Suites our hotel. Very modern and contemporary interior with enough of the old facade that you knew you were still in Firenze. My wife ordered a special pasta and as I had had pasta for 7 days straight I ordered their gourmet burger-It was amazing with their special Italian Mayo . We have been fortunate to visit Firenze three times in past six years and this is now our favorite ristorante
MoreWhat an incredible experience. Wonderful food and service. Our waiter recommended the risotto for me and it was delicious. We also enjoyed the octopus as a main course and the coccoli starter.
MoreWhile walking through the streets of Florence this place caught our eye so we decided to stay and have our late lunch here. It turned out to be a great decision, because first of all the service was very nice, polite and fast and second of all the food was amazing. We’ve started with the pizza (yes, we were pretty hungry), continued with a bistecca, potatoes and fresh bread, accompanied with a Chianti Classico from Villa Montepaldi and nicely finished with a pistachio tiramisu. What can we say, it was extremely delicious, we stayed there for about 2h just enjoying the food, the wine and finally having a chit chat with the owners, which are very nice and also food passionate people. We recommend anyone to come here and eat, you won’t regret it. It’s definitely a place where we will always come back when in Florence.P.S. We already came one more time, since our first meal there and the quality and the service were again outstanding. Thank you so much guys for your hospitality.See you very soon. Oana & Bogdan
MoreFor the past year I have been following Veteria on FB, as it was started by a team connected with one of my other favorite Florentine restaurants, Fuocco Matto. Wow, it was worth the wait. First the decor is a fun assemblage of modern and 20th century retro set in the space from an historic glass works. The setting is a little edgy and completely comfortable at the same time. But go for the food!Fantastic Italian cooking with great, creative twists. Our party of 4 went there 2 different nights during a week and every dish we had was worth having again. If you love Italian food and are willing to be lead on a little culinary adventure by the enthusiastic and friendly staff, you will love it.——-2022 update. Still amazing. Our best meal in Tuscany by far.
MoreGreat place to eat some italian food but with a modern touch.I tried the veal tongue (delicious), parma ham, risotto with ossobuco and pizza with carpaccio 👌🏼
MoreWe discovered this restaurant in July 2020 during the period between lockdowns in the Netherlands. Where we had originally planned to go for lunch was closed and we stumbled upon Vetreria, peeked inside to see local business people having lunch. Hands down the best pizza ever, crafted by the master, Donato. The wine selection is curated by Alberto, and no choice has ever disappointed. On our second visit, we learned that the predominant pizza menu was due to Covid and the full menu returned when we visited again in October. Unique dishes that are anything but typical Italian. Refined presentation, uniquely prepared excellent ingredients. We are sure to visit at least once when we are in Florence. Vetreria has become more and more popular, regardless of the day of the week so be sure to make a reservation.
MoreBest ristorante in Florence, and one of my fav in Italy.Food it’s delicious and worth every penny.Cremoso de miele it’s another level of dessertsHighly recommended
MoreThe service was very good. I had the spaghetti "martelli" and they had a disappointing monotonous sour flavour. The fiorentine T bone steak on the other hand was delicous. Overall have I been to better restaurants in Florence, it was very nice but not perfect.
MoreIve died and gone to heaven here. Had the oysters and gnocchi stuffed with bleu cheese. OMG! There are no words for how wonderful it was. Best food Ive had in Italy.Im back for a second time. This time Im trying a specialty of the house: a Carmelized terrine of Jerusalem Artichokes
MoreWe had dinner at Vetreria, five of us. Amazing Fiorentina, great Chianti, excellent service. It is difficult to find a good restaurant which does not simply aims the tourists. Vetreria exceeded all our expectations. Will certainly go back.Highly recommend 🔝⭐️.
MoreNice outdoor serving situated a little away from the restaurant but never forgotten by the staff. Lovely view. Pizzas and grilled beef was the best options for us.
MoreImmaculate.Without a doubt, the most hospitable restaurant I have had the pleasure of eating at.Atmosphere is great, food is AMAZING.The kitchen is run tough, detailed, and driven with tempers, joy, and PASSION. This is what ultimately brings the kitchen together to deliver and perform at the highest quality everyday.But.... I have not even mentioned the best of it.The level of service, friendliness, and individual care the staff was the the very best I’ve had in my life and I do not say that lightly.I say this after eating there 3 times! From Barcelona to Sydney, from Los Angeles to London, you will not find chefs that will make you feel more at home - even when miles away from it than the ones here at Ristorante Vetreria.Once again my compliments to the staff and chef. This pizza I’m eating is perfect 👍🏼
MoreThe steak Florentine was pricy but superb. Worth every bite. Excellent service and nice ambiance as well.
MoreVetreria is a special treat just around the corner from the Duomo. I stumbled onto Vetreria while looking for a pizza for lunch last Summer. One peak inside told us this was not your typical tourist turn-and-burn joint. Our pizzas were a delightful twist on traditional recipes, while not deviating too much.Vetreria has an extensive Tuscan and Italian wine list and our waiter (who we later learned is the ownerwas extremely helpful in helping us pair our wine with our meal, as well as suggesting something different for the next bottle. While I found the pizza to be one of the best I’ve ever had (after many trips to Italy, New York, Chicago etcthe owner informed us that the menu had been dramatically pared down in response to Covid. We returned a few days later to a wonderful menu. We enjoyed delectable appetizer of salmon & salmon roe which was designed for Firenze Cocktail week. Our main courses were short ribs, and pork belly and a ravioli stuffed with foie gras with a duck sauce. On a follow-up visit we enjoyed an amazing leek appetizer and a delightful twist on Gnocchi. We are constantly editing our restaurants that we return to in Florence, Vetreria is bound to stay in the top three for a long time!
MoreBelieve your waiter, he knows better than you.+Waiter was very friendly, you might feel too friendly if you are not used to it. But his recommendation was perfect. Harmony of meat and wine (both was choiced by waiterwas simply amazing, best meal at the florence. Count on him, he is good.
MoreWonderfully done, excellent prices, friendly and attentive staff as well as a flavorful and intriguing menu. Definitely get the prawns, the Florentine steak(Italian), and a bottle of wine. You wont be disappointed looking out onto the Duomo.
MoreIt was my wifes birthday and they gave us a free dessert and lemoncello! The food was great, the pasta is handmade. We had a great time. Thank you, Ari!
MoreAmazingly delicious and unique meal coupled with fantastic and friendly service. We had the caprese, prawns, stuffed pasta, and Ostrich. All were delicious and filling, especially the ostrich. The ambiance of the hotel was unique and inviting. If you’re thinking of doing anymore than two glasses of wine, opt for the bottle. The pours are a little light and you will get your money’s worth out of a bottle.
MoreVery nice understated restaurant in Florence. We had the obligatory steak prepared in the Florentine tradition. Wait staff very attentive, almost too attentive. Try their tiramisu. A very good version of the Italian classic. I would go again, but there are so many restaurants to try, most likely we wont.
MoreIncredible experience! Stopped here for lunch randomly after hopping off the train; we were hungry and not looking for perfection but we got it. Craving rosato and couldnt find any on the wine list but the waiter found what was left of their last bottle and divided it among the four of us, only charging us for three (since there wasnt really four full pours in the bottle). Things just got better from there - very creative menu items that were expertly prepared and absolutely delectable; the bread salad with basil ice cream may sound weird but it was delicious. And the hazelnut gnocchi was the best gnocchi Ive ever had. Desserts all sounded great so we ordered them all and had no problem finishing them; delicious and rewarding without being too sweet. We were expecting the bill to match the experience but were pleasantly surprised that it was far more reasonable than wed braced ourselves for. Best dining experience in Italy so far!
