Man isst in diesem Fischrestaurant sehr gut. Grosse Auswahl an Weinen. Gut gelauntes Personal, nette Bedienung. Unprätentiöses Lokal, versteckt an der Piazza Attilio Hortis.

Poche parole servono per descrivere lorganizzazzione(staff bravissimoe la splendida e buonissima cena passata in compagnia in questa bellissima trattoria! Consigliatissimo, provare per credere.

We turned up without a reservation and they couldnt have been nicer. We ate outside next to the park, and it was charming. Interesting menu with a modern twist on local ingredients and good wine. Excellent service from multilingual staff. Weve booked another dinner on our last night!

Stunning modern food, Italian based but inspired by international flavours. Truly innovative cooking. Wonderful, attentive and charming service but not ingratiating. Fantastic wine and a wonderful Grappa to finish. I cannot recommend highly enough. A highlight of our visit Trieste!

Il mio preferito a Trieste. Proposte classiche ed intriganti, tutte con ingredienti freschissimi e di alta qualità. Ottimo il crudo, buonissimi anche i dolci, tutti realizzati dal ristorante. Possibilità di mangiare allaperto. Personale estremamente gentile e professionale. A mezzogiorno prezzi davvero bassi in rapporto ai piatti proposti. Consigliatissimo!

Shocking staff. A lady was so condescending and she was upset we asked for a salad. Secondly we were attacked by mosquitos and thirdly they gave us something to spray on ourselves to protect from the mosquitos and it stained our cloths. Disgraceful arrogance and poor customer service.

Traditional cuisine with a modernist twist. Everything was delicious and fresh. We were really happy that arrangements could be made for my vegetarian partner (Trieste is strangely not really veggie friendly). The wine menu offers a nice highlight on local premium wines - Radikon, Čotar, Princic, etc. - and other hidden gems for amateurs. Highly recommended.

Il proprietario non è assolutamente normale. Siamo arrivati con prenotazione TheFork ed è venuto a gridarci contro (NB. GRIDARCI!che l’orario da lui registrato era un’ora prima. A nulla è servito mostrargli la conferma, ha cominciato ad urlare di fronte a tutti i tavoli che noi “non capivamo!” - ci siamo alzati, assolutamente non disposti a farci trattare cosí, ha cominciato a seguirci per strada continuando a GRIDARE! quando ho provato a farlo ragionare si è addirittura messo faccia a faccia con me continuando a chiamarci MALEDUCATI. Mio marito stava per intervenire per chiedergli di allontanarsi e finirla con la sua aggressività. Non ho mai, mai, mai visto una cosa del genere. Da denuncia!

una stella per il trattamento dei proprietari nei confronti del personale. durante il pranzo a cui ho partecipato, i camerieri sono stati perennemente ripresi a voce alta, mettendo loro in uno stato di continua ansia e frustrazione e noi, in imbarazzo per i camerieri, tentando in ogni modo di facilitare loro il lavoro. ma non solo, i toni sgarbati sono stati rivolti anche a noi da parte del titolare. per esperienza personale: le osservazioni si fanno lontano dalla clientela e adottare un comportamento lavorativo schiavo-padrone è decisamente anacronistico. questo è uno dei tanti motivi per cui moli rifiutano di lavorare ancora in questo ambiente tossico.

What an experience! Each dish was carefully prepared and beautifully served in a friendly and welcoming environment. Definitely a place to go back to!

Fantastico! Piatti curati e ricercati..le mie papille gustative hanno iniziato a gioire dalla prima pietanza servita (un assaggio offerto dalla casauna salsa di acciughe e salmone, sublime! Una cena completa a base di pesce veramente buona, freschezza del prodotto evidente, e soprattutto di qualità! Non posso che consigliare questo locale, posto in cui si mangia bene, ma soprattutto la gentilezza, cordialità e attenzione di tutto il personale! Se vuoi mangiare di qualità ed essere coccolato, ti consiglio questo locale!

In terms of technique and presentation of the food Ai Fiori surely belongs to the best restaurants in Trieste (though my fish was a little overcooked). Regarding quality of the ingredients they are good but not the best. However, I love their technique and will surely come again.

Veramente unesperienza di cucina di alta qualità. Forse il miglior antipasto di cruditè che io ricordi, seguito da ottimi secondi, accompagnato da vino di qualità e una serie di digestivi alla fine.Quello che più lascia il segno, tuttavia, sono gli amuse bouche, che includevano tra le altre cose dei pop corn appoggiati su delle gocce di maionese piccante. Mai mangiato dei pop corn in un ristorante, ma... erano veramente speciali!

Business lunch is a must do

Sono stato a pranzo con amici. 20 euro a testa per due piatti. Eccezionali. Pesce fresco e piatti sfiziosi. Seduti adiacenti al giardinetto della piazza. Consigliatissimo.

We ordered home delivery, food came perfectly packed and still warm. Nice and tasty, interesting spices, colors. Cheese cake was superb, risotto with celery refreshing. Looking forward when the restaurant will be open to sit and eat in the garden .

Abbiamo provato questo ristorante per caso e la sorpresa è stata ottima.Cibo molto buono e piatti ben preparati. Anche il servizio è stato molto buono. La maggior parte del menu e’ dedicato al pesce.Assolutamente da consigliare. D’estate ci sono i tavolini all’aperto.

Much more than a cup of coffee in Trieste - Trieste Coffee Festival Menu. I am not really a coffee fan but tasting it with food in special Ai Fiori menu was extraordinary experience. We should try to experiment more often! #triestecoffeefestival

La location è molto carina, portate molto ben presentate, nel menù molti piatti di pesce, ma anche qualche altra alternativa per chi non lo gradisce, piatti originali, buonissimo lantipasto delle crudità, carino sia il piattino di benvenuto che i dolcetti finali, infine la carta vini di livello. Very unprofessional staff not letting me know that you needed Reservation and treating me very unfriendly ~Never ever experienced anything like it ever in my life.

This place looks to be popular and we had high hopes. The service, setting and staff were good. The wine list and wine suggestions were very good also. The food was an extreme let down. The calamari dish was filled with some mashed potato and a potato on the side, no seasoning, tasteless and over cooked. The other dishes were similarly tasteless with the aim being small portions, large plates, low quality. The only good dish was the deep fried anchovies/sardines. When our main dishes arrived they offered a garden salad (as the fried fish had no accompanimentand it arrived drenched in balsamic vinegar.Being in Italy, I felt the tiramisu could not be bad. It arrived on a plate as a deconstructed tiramisu with raspberry sauce and missing key ingredients.What was surprising is that this place had around 4 stars both on Google and TripAdvisor. Both review engines were historically much better. I would however advise fellow travellers to rely on local knowledge, where available.Some suggestions in Trieste from a local resident: Meat: Suban. Fish: Joia; Nero di Seppia; or la locanda di Trimalcione. Ice-cream: Zampolli. Fresh market is Eataly. Fresh pasta: Casalinga in Largo Barriera.

Il miglior ristorante di pesce a Trieste, ottimo servizio, attento e premuroso senza essere invadente. Tutto perfetto, grande attenzione alla qualità e alla preparazione dei piatti, senza eccessi ridicoli o imbarazzanti. Cantina molto ben fornita. Prezzo giusto.

A nice fancy restaurant

Kreative, moderne Meeresküche ist an der oberen Adria ja häufig nicht die Regel. Meistens weiß man was kommt. Ai Fiori ist die große Ausnahme. Wow, was da auf den Tisch gezaubert wird ist schon außergewöhnlich. Scampi-Tatar mit Knollensellerie und Zimt, Crudita di mare, Tonno mit Kokosmilch und Limettensoße usw. Vier Ölivenöle und fünf verschiedene Salze kommen auf den Tisch. Kleine Zwischengänge als Überraschung erfreuen den Gast. Eine äußerst erfreuliche Entdeckung in Triest!

Such good food and service. 18€ flat two course lunch was an amazing bargain for an excellent meal. Spaghetti with mackerel sugo and burrata followed by John Dory with summer vegetables and basil purée. Inexpensive and delicious wine also.
