Ristorante Acquapazza - Seafood restaurant in Salerno, Italy
Peccato avevamo altre aspettative. Un po’ delusi. Frittura buona. Prezzi sostenuti, in linea con la costiera .
Location situata in un posto molto bello!Abbiamo mangiato benissimo!
A little overrated, overpriced, poor service, you get what the waiter wants, to say the least, everything is cooked around anchovies, if you like them its ok, we ordered a grilled fish, came out baked and wattery, almost soupy, sent it back, asking and telling the waiter, he was deaf by the way, a la grillia. To no avail. Came back exactly the same. A mound of mushy fish. The pasta was not saucy and did not have a fresh taste at the end. We heard other customers arguing about the bill, we did not try the anchovy dessert they recommended, after seeing the 60 euros for the fish! We ran away!
Really well positioned in Cetara.Food was good and the service was nice. We followed the recommendation of the waitress for the wine and we were not disappointed. The dishes were well presented.Bad point: the chairs were very uncomfortable - I appreciate the effort in terms of visual design but no - just changed them as you break your back after few hours!
What a wonderful night it was, the food, wine & the service were incredible! The best anchovies weve ever had, tuna genevese and sphagetti colatura were so yummy! We will come back to Cetara again just for this place. Gratzie!
Poor service. Fish was not fresh ( polpo was defrozen). Too expensive for the quality. Very small portions.
Great place to watch world go by food outstanding. Do get a whole fish as the entertainment of it been prepared at your table is worth it alone although it also tastes fantastic
Very nice alici
Really enjoyed the food and the environment. The anchovies and the Colatura di alici (Anchovies oilwere tasty and less strong than what I expected. I cannot suggest the spaghetti with colatura, it wasnt great with a plain taste, but I will sure go again for the Gnocchi with Bottarga (grated dry fish eggs)
Top
Enjoyable local food. The local famous anchovies and anchovies pasta which is a little over rated in my mind. The service was great.
Fresh and tasty food, great service.
Food was okay, staff was very friendly.
Every staff and the owner were so kind. They were so professional and explained all the dishes I was having with details. Loved my experience here. Food was so delish. They have their signature anchovy sauce which goes well with bread to raw seafood. Thank you for the limoncello! Grazie!
Simple but brilliant food and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone coming to Cetara.
Real local seafood experience
excellent food and service!
Food was nice but definitely not worth the price. Good selection of wine and service was brilliant. Meal for 3 three with starters, main meals and a bottle of wine was €200, but we were given free lemoncello. Beautiful town and nice outside seating area perfect for people watching. I hope you dont mind the stray cats though! Make sure to try the anchovies, theyre the chefs speciality.
What a spot!We stopped in here for a late lunch and were treated to stellar service and sublime food. The waiter suggested some local wine that was delicious and only €20!To eat we had the tempura cod and aged anchovies. We also got to sample a homemade anchovy oil which is unreal on bread.Wish we could have stayed for more!
Fantastic restaurant, we had a slow lunch of seafood antipasti and pasta and the service and food were great.
Very good restaurant, designed exclusivly and located in a charming beautiful spot
Excellent service, amazing food, and lovely atmosphere. Great seafood, so fresh!
TOP!!!
This place is about Italian design and cuisine, if in doubt please check and let me know 😊😉
Delicious food. Tasty wine. Friendly service. Beautiful location. Will go back if we are in Cetara again.
Very nice
The food was fresh and authentic and the wine was incredible. The service was impeccable. I had so many delicious meals when I visited the Amalfi Coast but this was by far the best and most memorable!!
Nice place to enjoy a good authentic local meal. Interesting wine list which includes local wines. I loved their signature spaghetti made with very few ingredients: spaghetti, "colatura", olive oil, garlic, pepper, herbs, and cherry tomato). Reasonable prices and friendly service. It is certainly worth a stop if you have plans to drive along the Amalfi coast. Found a parking lot up on the hill, a 15 min walk from Acquapazza. Im taking home a small bottle of "colatura di alici".
Nice one but slightly overpriced and overly challged providing speedy service. Highly questionable logo.
Worth stoping in the town only to eat in this restaurant! The food is AMAZING!!And meet the owner.. such a nice and genuine gentleman!
Great food, great service and friendly staff. The beautiful restaurant is located close to the sea and the little harbour. They offer variety of pasta and different fish and a great choice of wine. I had paccheri with rana pescatrice. Very delicious! I will definitely visit again when I am in the area.
Bad service guys. We waited 20 min with no one asking us if we wanted a drink. Had to actually get up and grab a menu ourselves. Waiter just ignored us and what appeared to be the owner was running everywhere like a headless chicken.
Terrible service. We waited for 15 minutes to be given just a menu. Actually, I went in and asked for it. The other waiter actively ignored us. And instead cleared plates from a quiet table. We left of course. They need to hire more staff obviously
The Best Anchovies ..... in the world! We stayed in fantastic Cetara for four nights. On our third night we chose this place. Simply because we liked the look and the location.Little did we know that we would eat whats probably the worlds best alici (anchovies). But lets start at the beginning. After getting a table we ordered a half litre of house wine. Took a while until it was served, but no problem about that. Then we ordered two mains: Pasta with Tuna Genovese and the Spaghetti with colatura di alici (homemade anchovie fish sauce).Shortly after Gennaro arrived at our table. The mastermind, the artist ... or simply: the headchef/owner of this place. He said that we really need to try his famous alici (anchoviesand he will bring us a free starter plate with them. And soon they arrived:The Worlds Best Anchovies - at least so far. Preserved in high quality oil, topped with some herbs and garlic. And then freshly grated Amalfi Lemons on top. Wow...what an explosion of flavours! A feast for they eyes and more importantly: your palate. Never have we ever tasted better and more flavorful anchovies. Try them, even if youre not into anchovies or fish in general. The mains were great as well. Fresh and perfectly cooked (al dentePasta with few, but fresh and perfectly matched ingredients. The Tuna tasted great and the colatura alici was delightful. Not too fishy and smooth. Great stuff (Gennaro does produce it himself). We were so happy that we returned the next night and made a reservation right away (can get packed on weekends). We got a nice table - and again our dog was very welcome. This time we ordered a nice bottle of White: a 2010 Ester (Greco Di Tufo). A fantastic wine, deep yellow/gold color, but at the same time not too sweet and a perfect match for pasta dishes. Then of course: two servings of the brillant anchovies. For mains we had Pesto Pasta (handmade - very fillingand Gnocchi with grated dried fish roe! What might sound fishy is actually just a bit salty, very balanced and delicious. Another great dinner here at Acquapazza. Gennaro came by our table again and had a bit of a chat. Great guy!First night we paid 48 Euros, the other 70 Euros. Fair prices for dinners of this high quality. Innovative Italia food, but still faithful to its roots with few but great ingredients. Some of the best dishes weve had on this Italian Road Trip. Highly recommended!
Would normally give 4 stars for food, as it was pretty good. The constant swarm of flies didnt help. But the service is what really brought it down. We ordered and immediately got our appetizers. Then it took an hour and 15 minutes for the pasta to come out. The owner said its because we ordered different things? Nothing we ordered was special, and they refused to apologize or acknowledge us as all other tables sat were served and left in the time we waited. Not worth the ok food.
A enthousiastic owner, nice place and very good fresh and typical Italian food! A recommendation for every fish lover.
Incredible vibe, food and service. You cannot go wrong here. The street / area is lively which only adds to the ambience of the restaurant.I highly recommend the tuna!!
We absolutely loved this restaurant. The host gave us a free glass of prosecco on arrival and sat us outside right in the heart of the courtyard. The fish was incredible and the vibe was fantastic. Highly recommend. You may be waiting a while for a table if you want to sit outside but its definitely worth the wait.
Wonderful antipasti, superb first dish ( paccheri with pescatriceand great wine yet payable wines. Excellent services. Only comment: stay away from the second fish dishes unless you have the platinum Alex card with you😀
This is the place which you exactly have to visit if you would like to try real Italian seafood. Foods were great and staffs were very nice and kind. Our family has visited this restaurant 8 years ago fortunately and we never forgot foods we had here. So ,we came back to Italy and visit there today! Foods were great as we remember!!! Dont miss the chance you can have fabulous seafood in Cetara!!
The service was very good. And the desert is very recommended.
