Mountainous national park with wooded hiking trails & wildlife including bear, lynx & eagles.
Fantastic National park
Beautiful.
Great park with the interesting educational trail and many more informational signs along the route. There is no information on the website that entrance is paid🤑 We discovered it only at the entrance. There are some trains going to Delnica. Its 10 km to Risnjak. But, the buses are only on week days, and the shedule is not that good. With the paid entrance there could be some buses offered by the park itself.
Beautiful nature, what more you need.
Beautiful forest, many species of mushrooms in this season
Its nice to spend a day, walk and have a picnic
Source of the River Kupa, amazing scenery during every season. So beautiful, so colorful, so peaceful. Enjoy it, listen to the nature and preserve nature.
At first we came here a little bit unprepared. So the people there advised us to not do any of the long hikes. So instead we went to the Izvor Kupe. Which was really beautiful. The clear blue water almost looked fake. And guess what the water was really cold. So dont swim there :)
Very doable park, but the routes arent properly displayed.Path itself is okay mostly on the further regions. It feels safe and well designed for anyone who knows the route. On the schack route "something Dom" there isnt much place to rest for those who might need a rest. The education trail is fun to do with childeren to learn, but very short and easy to lose the trail and get far off.Other than this, beautifull nature and well maintained park.
The drive is technical, but scenic. The park itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The playground is not suitable for the smallest of children, but looks fun.
A great place for hikes and beautiful views
Even the air here is comfortable to breathe, not to mention the look of green pine trees and sky 😍
Very nice escape from the hot hot beaches.
Amazing for walking; hiking or biking and a lovely restaurant to refuel before and after - recommend the palacinka.
Totally beautiful. The nature the quiet walk are really good, although could be uncomfortable for some people. When you think you are near the top and get first sight of the peak - now that was a surprise!
Great day walk with medium hiking. A nice fairy tale story along the way and a great little bit of scrambling to the top with views well worth the climb.
Beautiful nature. From entrance about an hour of a walk to Schlossers home, the climb is not too difficult. The Vilje entrance is not very well marked, so you should be careful when you turn off the main road, if you come from that entrance to the park, you will be charged a ticket at Schlossers home. From the home you have a great view of the top of Risnjak and its rocks. Its beautiful at the top.
It is great place for hiking. It has relatively good marked trails. It is not too demanding, only the final few hundred meters is bit harder. There is also not too many people. Nature is beautiful if you like forest.
Wonderful national park, for hiking and enjoying nature.
We visited in October. Magical forest, and lovely long hike to vrh Risnjak peak 1528m. Total hike 6.5hrs approx 20km as we did the ‘loop’ back via Horvatova Staza rather than retrace our steps. Note - this route back is much tricker underfoot rather than the main route. Zero visibility at the top, and the last 15 mins is a scramble (fun in the wet!). Very glad the hut was open for warm break and bean &sausage soup!
Just pack your bag, seize the day and go hiking✌Planinarski dom Schlosserov dom..Risnjak
If you want to recharge your batteries, Risnjak is the right place to go. Magical forests and clean and fresh air is what youll find there. Theres no noise from civilisation, you can hear the silence. You can hug trees or, if you pay really close attention, you can feel them hugging you back.
This park is breathtaking, the mountains are really rugged but the trails are very well marked, making them easy to follow. Make sure you do the hike all the way up the Risnjak Mountain and stop by for some food at the hut at the top.
Visited Leska path with two kids 4 and 8 years old, it was very enjoyable experience. Afterwards visited source of river Kupa - drive and hike to/from the Razloge village was a bit more challenging, but definitely possible. From there tooks about half an hour to get to the river and about 40min to get back up.
Excellent National Park. I emailed the park to ask about hiking to Snjezik and they gave the a good starting point and a link to buy my ticket online since it wasnt near the park ticket office. We ended going to Crni Lug to the park entrance anyway and did the educational hike. It was interesting and pretty as well as very easy for kids. Fun ropes course behind ticket office- nice restaurant as well. Highly recommend.
We hiked from Vilje to Veleki Risnjak and then back down via Cajtige.I took us, avid hikers, 2h30, including a 15min break at the top. It was definitely beautiful and fun to climb to the top, but less fun than Palenka park. The time they told us it would take was also a bit overestimated (4h in comparison to 2h15 of walking).
Good for hikers who could climb up to Risnjak and Snjeznik peak, visit source of river Kupa or just wondering around inside the forest which is populated by bears, wild cats, foxes, rabbits, boars, deers, etc. For begining start at Crni Lug NP headquater and explore the nearest area.
Amazing nature, great trails. Low price ticket for entrance.
It was beautiful, but the hike was preety hard and there wasnt a lot of food options in the restaurant.
Beautiful nature!Final piece of trail just above the mountaineer home is EXTREMELY UNSAFE. You are on your own there if you slip or role a rock on someone head down below. Place needs attention of someone who understands safety of people you let in there is important.
Wonderful nature, beautiful views. Since its a national park, the walking paths should be more cared of. For example, there were some old rotten trees fallen over the path. Other than that, everythings perfect!
Absolutely magnificent. This Croatian National Park full of beautiful nature is called after lynx (croatian: ris), a wild cat that lives in this area of Croatia. The highest point, Veliki Risnjak with its 1528 meters above sea level and relative proximity to the Adriatic sea is SPECTACULAR viewpoint!! At times of bura wind you can see everything in more than 100km radius! The price for 2 days is 45kn (cca 6 eurosand for students it is 25 krones (around 4 euros). For this price, this is absolutely must see! Every season, winter, spring, summer and autumn has its own magic, so dont worry about the time of the year. Enjoy!!
Absolutely worth visiting. Amazing hikes views and rivers and very friendly staff in the different visitor centers. For a small fee you can enter the park and have access to the whole.park for two days. Definitely worth the fee and the time!
Beautiful national park with pristine nature.Lots of hiking trails, mountain lodges, hotel etc.Definetly worth visiting if you are near. Take one day and explore this Croatian gem.
The ticket price is 45kn and the ticket is valid for two days. There are numerous well marked hiking trails. From the national park entrance near Crni Lug (682mthere are two hiking paths (3 hours hiking timeto the Schlosser lodge(1418m). From there its another 20-30 minutes to the Veliki Risnjak peak (1528m).
Great walk around Leska trail.
A much longer hike then anticipated. The signage needs recalculation as several parallel paths exist. Some trails much easier than the other! We were told at the start going up, their is only one way up. Yet, going down, we were told there is a much easier way down (or up for that matterparallel to the path weve just taken up.We strongly suggest you ask very specifically which path is easier as they say it takes only 3 hours either way. It took us (average hikersover 4 hours up with minimal 5 min. water breaks. Knowing that its somewhat easier going down hill, we thought will make it down in 3 and 1/2 hours. However, the parallel path only took us 2:30 which is way to much of a difference considering its just about the same length. Its just much easier legwork.Even though this peak is slightly higher and the weather was great, their is much less of gran views as the forest is all around you the whole way up and down. Only the top reveals stunning pictures and views!
Extremely beautiful nature. Eventhough it was Saturday very few people on the way. Having a break on the very peak of Risnjak is everything.
Deep forest interspersed with krast caves in all its glory - a must see part of Croatia far from any bigger city. If you plan trekking, bring your own food and drinks, not many restaurants around.
Beatiful park, clear signage. Too bad the mounain hut was closed during our hike.
All the time path is going trought the woods, but last 100 meters to the top is magnificent, the view is spreading to the lake Lokvarsko, Adriatic sea, bridge and even the island of Krk.
Beautiful place. In Leska You should rent an electro-bike. Just next to entrance to Park is Pension with really nice staff. Recommend!Another magical place is Izvor Kupe. We moved to Razloge by car and from there it takes about half an hour of walking to get in. That is real paradise on Earth.
It is always an adventure to visit the Risnjak National Park. The nature is awe-inspiring and the Schlosser hut is just a MUST visiting the Park.
Amazing nature! Kid’s andrenaline park, restaurant, parking place, entrance fee...
Beautiful park. We dig the walk from Crni Lug (you just have to go there, park your car and follow the signsto the mountain peak. Takes you 3 hours to go up, but really worth the effort. You have unlimited view ! There is a refuge on the top where you can sleep/eat. We did the round trip on one day. Bring good shoes(a lot of small rocksand a lot of water ! Height différence around 1000m :)
Great place to spend a day or two, the staff is very friendly and the place is overall stunning. If you enter at Bijela Vodica, there is a lake with very friendly ducks so bring some bagel for them. There is also a restaurant (havent been thereand bike rental. On the top of the mountain Risnjak, there is a small cabin where you can spend the night and eat for very cheap.
A place for walk in the woods, either short, few km long, around the entrance to the National Park, or longer walks to rocky peaks such as Risnjak, Snježnik, Guslica etc.
Beautiful forest with fantastic sceneries. One of my favourite croatian national parks!
Beautiful place. I would recommend visiting in the spring when its not that crowded.
Very charming. Services few and far between, but getting better.
