Perfect location, attentive staff and great food

We were delighted to be served by the young man as he was very attentive, he whom took care of our table, second-questioned any concerns, also if were unsure on specifics. It is a welcoming atmosphere, staff were polite. The menu was amazing and portions were utmost impressive. We ordered barramundi, salmon, roast cauliflower, risotto... all which were extremely delicious. The birthday chant by staff toward the end of the evening, was superb and put the icing on the cake. A must dining experience that youll never forget and the stunning views by the water shows an authentic dining experience well never forget too. Thanks to our main host too. (Italian accent)

Stunning view. Glorious to sit by the water with a cocktail! The food is always really impressive. The only things I havent liked much have been fish dishes. Theyre good (lobster spaghetti and salmonbut not brilliant. Everything else is AMAZING!

I had a dinner party in the very lovely private area on Saturday night. The team at Ripples, from the event manager, the waitress in charge and all the staff, were incredible. On the night the team made sure everything flowed smoothly and provided great service. Many friends commented on the amazing quality of the food too. Thank you for making it a perfect evening.

We had our wedding reception there with 24 guests in attendance. The waiter assigned to us was Mirko. My partner and I had dinner on a Wednesday night and had the barramundi and risotto. The location was beautiful, but the food was terrible. The wait staff were accommodating but the chef needs to check his food before sending it out.The risotto bland, the fish was under cooked and watery.To top it off we both fell ill that night with my partner bed ridden for the next 24hrs after this.So overpriced for what you get.

Beautiful location , beautiful setting , service not to bad but food quality was terrible. Oysters were off and they were masking them with a mango purée, absolutely disgusting , sent them back. Even asked waitress to try and she refused that’s how terrible they were.Rest of the food was below par, I would rather of had fish and chips by the water than waste my time with this place . Dear chef do yourself a favour and taste what you are serving to customers or better yet find another profession.Terrible .

A standard favourite go-to for any occasion. The location makes it feel like its a special secret. View is gorgeous in any weather. Staff are lovely, and the food, wine & cocktails are always amazing.It can be a little tricky to find if youre not familiar with the area; if you drive through the national park, its at the very end of the road, or you can access via the stairs going up from Clifton Gardens Beach.The beach and walking trails around it are beautiful too.Most importantly, there are seals living in this harbour bay!! Seals! Its very cool.My 2 cents:- view: if you appreciate a gorgeous view, perhaps ask for a terrace table as you cant see much from inside (indoors is still beautiful though).- kids: this is one of the very few places we dont take them to, only because they love the beach and park below and would keep trying to escape to get down there - and seeing the icecream truck doesnt help (parents will understand what this is like, Im sure lol).- byo: last weekend, I heard people saying it was byo with $15 corkage (good price), but Ive never done this, so you might want to check first.- parking: paid parking is available at both the beach and the national park.Anyway key points are... food is incredible, staff are lovely and thoughtful, view is gorgeous, beautiful areas to explore afterwards, and seals. Wow! Fantastic setting, wonderful staff and superb food - with the added benefit of BYOB. The resto is in a quiet bay that was apparently an old naval base. Quiet and picturesque. Not really a kid place for dinner. Dressy casual attire. We were here for a special adult birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. If you are able, take a water taxi from Circular Quay to Ripples to add to the experience. Will we be back? 10000000%

Stunning venue. Good food and the staff were wonderful. Attended as a wedding guest would love to return and try it for a dining experience.

Had a delightful luncheon at Ripples. Staff attentive, professional, pleasant and knowledgeable . Food and drinks presentation, taste and variety was spot on and will be definitely visiting and bringing friends. A thoroughly enjoyable experience all round including the location.

I previously left a review regarding being charged $24 for water. Later found out there was some miscommunication. The restaurant manager reached out to us and refunded the amount in an effectively manner. This restaurant has great view and it’s prefect as a midpoint stop during the costal walk for a meal & drink! Highly recommended:)

Came here for a birthday function and the place was beautifully set up and looked awesome, tucked away with great views of the water. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was however, somewhat average. The prawn starter was miserly and the chicken liver pate was pasty with very little flavour. My sirloin steak was rare as requested so that was good but would have better if there was more jus. Nevertheless we had a great evening all in all!

We came here for their truffle dinner night. You cant go wrong with truffle night :Everything was amazing!The service was impeccable! The food came out super fast and the portions were decent! The matching wine was okay, but we enjoyed it with every meals of ours. We were full by the time our last main course came out. The area was beautiful. Will definitely come back for lunch next time.

We found this restaurants location is super hard to find parking. I would recommend to arrive at least 15-20mins before your booking to just find a parking spot. The restaurant has an amazing view next to the water. The service was good and very fast. The food was nice and tasty but nothing outstanding. I would return just for the water view rather than the food. The overall experience was not too bad. :)

Dropped by for lunch: recommend eating under the covered patio, great views. Fish and chips review: decent, crisp, appears to be cod. For whatever reason they are stingy on the fries. At $34 AUD it’s expensive but relative to the area. $18 for an affogato with frangelica: quite tasty and good presentation.

Beautiful location. Started with great service, good entrees but then let down quickly by disappointing mains and dessert. The Barra lacked flavour and the pork belly had been sitting in the oven a lot longer then necessary. Expected more based on previous reviews.

Service was impeccable and the food was melt in your mouth delicious. I was hesitant to book due to the hefty cancellation fee but I’m so glad we went. A real treat!

gorgeous setting, i could never get sick of the view @rippleschowderbaywe ordered the chorizo and mozzarella arancini with black garlic mayo. super punchy and delicious, the cheese inside was molten and smooth and the crust outside was as crisp as could be. perfect 🤌we also ordered the bistecca fiorentina (a house specialtyand the truffle parmesan fries. did you read that right? yes, truffle!!! me!!! ordering truffle?!?!?!?! im slowly dipping my toes into liking truffle, so starting off small with a lightly infused aioli was what i really really enjoyed 🤤 i was completely hooked and couldnt stop eating these chippies 🍟the steak was a bit average tbh, the seasoning was good but we asked for it to be medium rare and it came out rarer than id like 🥩 so for the high price i was a lil surprised at this hahaPrice: bistecca $120, fries $16, arancini $18check out my food instagram @erinxeats for more!

The food & service at Ripples is really good. The ambience and views are fantastic at Chowder Bay. We enjoy going there for special occasions.They did have a complete disaster in the kitchens yesterday (30/6/2022- food took ages to arrive, but that was the first time it has happened - and it was Dine & Discover mayhem yesterday as well (Food was still excellent).(UpdateRipples did rectify the issue by sending us a voucher - which to me reflects very highly on their efforts to maintain a good reputation.

Great view... Of the beach, I just love the view of happy children running along the beach, reminds me of the times i was able to do that. Talking about the food, literal childhood memories, which I completely support, and every visit brings a smile to my mind.Suggestions: To improve the general flow of the restaurant, I would open up the rear of the restaurant, so customers can jump straight out of the restaurant into the water, immediately swimming to the far away parts that are hard to get to from the shore. I would also like to see a fishing dock open for customers, cause, if the food wait is more than 30 minutes long, I want to wait for it on my conditions. Just some suggestions

We went for Mothers Day (our first as parents), the staff were great, the food was tasty (set menu for Mothers Day), and a great drink selection. The view was also amazing!

Lovely restaurant close to water. We ordered pastas which are delicious. The pork ragu pappardelle is superb! The burrata and arancini with black garlic sauce are very nice entrees. View is nice. They packed as many table as possible on the deck. But with the glass window and very open view, it is a lovely place for lunch for a beautiful day.

The food was delicious!! Meat was cooked perfectly which is rare to find. The risotto was very flavourful, maybe a little salty.Service was really standout it with my water glass always full. The only thing that wasn’t great was the sides, the chips were really small and the veggies were small and ends of beans weren’t cut. They weren’t really that flavourful either.

Great spot for a meal! We were serve today (13/2/2022by a young Italian waiter name Sam. He made eating in Ripples a delightful experience. He was happy to serve as if he was serving someone important. The way he serves is an example of great customer service. Good one Sam.The spot had an amazing view of Clifton Garden Beach and the harbor. The food was delicious and the price wasnt too pricey considering this has an amazing view.Bet it would be great to watch sunrise and have breakfast here too.

Food is great, good serving portion and nice location. Only comment is we been wedged into a seat between another couple and a small group of six while the restaurant was 99% empty! I can understand the seating been allocated on the screen(PC), but it makes absolutely no sense to put a couple so close to another during COVID time. I can understand on arrival if the restaurant is jam packed, not when it is empty. A choice of seat would have been nice.

Dined here for the first time on Friday and everything was beautiful . The view , the service by our NZ waiter ( forgot his name and the food was delicious ! Would definitely recommend . The food did not take long and everything from entree , main and dessert was wonderful . Thank you !

Set in the beautiful Chowder Bay, this beautiful restaurant has good food to go with the view, too. Its a restaurant thats worth a visit when youre in the neighbourhood. Booking is strongly recommended

Lovely to be out in the world again after lockdown, and check-in/vax-check was easy! Really lovely food and service, and of course the setting was gorgeous. Would definitely return 🙂

Overlooking Chowder Bay and Clifton Gardens, sitting out on the verandah is a delight. Fresh food and delicious drinks, an easy go to spot - recommend for lunch or an afternoon drink to make the most of the views. (Note: be prepared to pay for parking all around that area!).

One of the best meals I have ever eaten! We came here for a birthday dinner and all of us left in the best food comas. It’s worth every dollar and you can tell the quality. The seafood tasted so fresh and the beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked. Get the bread to start cause I have never been so in love. Definitely recommend!

Its in a great location near Clifton Gardens. Parking there can be a bit tricky given a lot of people go for walks and the likes there. The patronage / service was good, no complaints there. Had the prawn dish, it was ok. Wife had the salmon and it was ok. I had the pasta seafood bisque and it was ok. For me it was like going to a Cafe. The criticism I had was they forgot our mains. We waited almost an hour, then when a waiter did finally bring our food, I was watching the bloke place on one table, to be told it wasnt them, then he goes to another table and insisted it was them, all the while I was still watching our meals being passed around, then he walks off back to the direction of the kitchen until I had to get up and call him over and say that it was for us, and he seemed hesitant to leave the means...It was kinda strange, then as he walks off, he pauses and does this Zen thing and does this breathing thing cause he seemed under the pump. The mains looked rushed and tasted rushed. Would I go back again? ..mmmm perhaps, but not any time soon.

Amazing good, service & location.Kingfish was such a treat. Gravy on the beef, stunning! Prawns & calamari were astonishingly tender.

Went to Ripples Chowder Bay for dinner, all the food was amazing and the service was really friendly. With the view this perfect we couldnt have asked for a anything more. Highly recommend visiting!

Unfortunately our lunch was really let down because of this dish, the barramundi was cooked perfectly, but the kale was cold and tough and the corn salsa was awful, it was made from corn from a can, totally substandard for $40 dish. Also our server completely brushed me off when I queried it, and obviously didnt care which was really disappointing

Beautiful location and very friendly staff who looked after us so well. I wish food had more freshness but overall it was a nice experience. Roast pumpkin was nice! Good COVID measures in place too.

My partner and I had a beautiful lunch here on Sunday.The views where absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious.I got the lamb ragu dish which was so flavourful and hearty.Great venue for a sunny day.Highly recommended

Lovely restaurant by the wharf with beautiful views. The service was great but the food was just average. The salmon crudo entree was super disappointing - just tasted like norma smoked salmon with olive oil. I liked the desserts more than mains to be honest. The black sesame pannacotta was rich in flavour and the creme brûlée was the perfect amount of sweetness. I would the love to go more often but location is a bit inconvenient unless you’re driving

Beautiful view and great atmosphere when sitting outside. Prawns were tasty and pasta was superb. Pork was disappointing and dry, as was the beef. But the whole fish was tender and beautifully done. A bit of a hit and miss on the menu I guess.Desserts were also great and a cute added touch made our day extra great!

Service was friendly and attentive while providing space to enjoy our meals and chat. We appreciated being seated away from the crowd which enabled us to enjoy the evening and the great food

Great food, great service. Unlimited sparkling water and amazing focaccia bread.The views are superb and the ambience is calming.Steps down to Ripples are slippery especially when wet and does get chilly fast in the evening.

Great location! Good food and friendly service. Has a very good kids menu.Buffalo mozzarella entree was extremely tasty. My wife enjoyed the oysters for entree. The barramundi was a touch overcooked as you can see in photos. Creme brulee was good but unfortunately no pistachio ice cream as freezer has broken down in 38 degree heat.Then off to Chowder Bay for a swim!

First time to Ripples after waiting many years to get there. Lovely location, and despite not having the perfect weather for it, it still turned out to be a perfect afternoon: we did a historic walking tour first, followed by a set menu lunch. Great food and wine, would definitely re-visit.

Modern Australian cuisines, located waterside at Sydney prestigious suburb Mosman. Food was very good and the service was excellence... A very nice restaurant to take family lunchies with a great view. 100 % recommended, will come back later. Good Job guys.....

I always love the house foccacia. The whiting was excellent. The Roman style gnocchi was simply amazing. My wife liked the oysters but I didnt have any. The orchiette was too salty (too much anchovy). The ragu pasta was great. Desserts although good had declined in quality​ since we last went about 6 months ago. Overall given location, atmosphere and pricing its 5 stars (rounded up)
