Ripley's Believe It Or Not, Blackpool in Blackpool

Cant comment on whats inside, if your disabled its advertised as access to ground floor only but thats only for the brave or slimline wheelchair users to get over the rope bridge. The staff were far from enthusiastic in helping us enter to the point that we called it off but said well go in the shop. Pissin down with rain, its not great finding the doors locked. Went back to be told you enter via the shop next door (all part of same business), nice if the staff member knowing we were going there could have mentioned it so staff attitude is more than enough to put us off if ever there was a better chance of getting in

Went to Blackpool for a nice little holiday and stumbled across Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Now having read the books I was keen to have a look and see what they had! It cost £30 entry for two of us (which i though was a bit steep when we entered). Walked through the entire thing in about 15-20 minutes feeling quite unamused. Nothing really spectacular, you could see 90% of the items at your local museum for free! Felt ripped off at the end and it really wasn’t worth the money :(

Not worth the money, get round it far too quickly.

Weve been to a few of these franchises now and this is by far the poorest. Shabby displays and the small amount of content just arent worth the money.

Paid £50 family deal for this once-great museum which used to be in Piccadilly Circus in London but this relocation to Blackpool is heavily scaled down to just two small floors.The older children found it interesting in some places but too gory in others.

A bit small and not that much to see, not worth the entry fee in my opinion

Absolute rip off, staff tell you the experience lasts 45 mins, we were done within 18 minutes. £45 for 3 of us. All the machines inside can only be used by inserting more money. Never again!.

The low star rating is for the price, after paying £10 for kids and £15 for adults, i was expecting far more. We were in and out in 20 minutes. Some interesting bits in there, but not worth anywhere near the cost.If you have tickets for the Pleasure Beach, one of the attractions Impossible, is actually free and has a huge chunk of the same content.

My husband was really looking forward to going here as we always end up doing something else when we go to Blackpool, I went about 25 years ago but Im sorry to say nothing much had changed in that time. husband was expecting a lot more too ! It wasnt worth the £30 admission.. most exhibits you can see on the online website.. save your money.

Visited fri 3rd June 2022 ...8 people / 2 x adults , 5 x paying children and 1 child free entry . Children ages all between 5 and 12 . ###### £70 ######,,,,,, 70 pounds to be in and out in 20/25 mins even though we slowed down to read the facts as we very quickly realised this was an in and out deal ....barley anything interactive unless you pay for it on top (machines inside )which we did so that was another another £9 . My children collect the books and we thought it would be amazing although the children enjoyed what they saw to a degree, it was not worth the money and we had to mess about transferring money through diff banks as they wouldnt take cash .Staff wernt very inviting , seems they had to be there instead of want to be there . Having 6 children we are very used to things beings expensive as a family but we also budget in other areas for they money we paid we could of gone to the tower or water park or madam tous ,and had a brilliant experience..feel really let down as parents we came out feeling deflated about what we just paid for ,we have a huge museum at doncaster and its free and takes few hours to get around . As you can see by other reviews with photos you dont need to visit what you see is all thats there extremely disapointed ...Will not be back and advise you dont waste your money , go to the many other attractions as this isnt what it seems.0 for value for money1 for whats inside

Spend your money elsewhere£50 spent on a 15/20 minute walk around wasnt interesting and nothing interactive

Went with partner it was £30 for us both it lasted around 10-15 minutes. Wasnt very fun or entertaining. The most interesting bit was the spinning tunnel. Wouldnt recommend.

Quirky little place to visit while in Blackpool.Full of lots of weird/ strange things.There are lots of machines that cost for example 50p. Theres also a machine to get change but at the time of entering was out of order.So be aware of this especially if you have children who may want to use them.Theres a gift shop at the end that doesnt have alot of items from Ripleys just a few magnets, badges and rulers. The rest is sweets or pleasure beach merchandise.All in all a great place to visit whilst in Blackpool

This was an interesting visit and experience which I would recommend to anyone visiting Blackpool that likes museum type places and learning facts and just seeing weird, cool and interesting things. It would be nice if there were more things to look at and towards the end there is supposed to be some sort of moving bridge but when walking over it nothing happened so Im not sure if it was broke during my visit or it just wasnt turned on but there was no sign to say it wasnt working.

Me and my whole family from Norway met up to closed gates Tuesday morning!! It says open all day every day!! We were super disappointed!!! Would not recommend this place that don’t hold promised opened hours!!

A nice hour spent here, great exhibits, having been to Florida Ripleys, this is on a much smaller scale but interesting exhibits all the same. Something to surprise everyone.

Very crowded. And no toilets. We live locally. Brought one of our grandchildren. Wont bring any again for the reason. No toilets.

A few interesting pieces, and the mirrors and moving tunnel are fun, but Im not sure its worth the cost. Not really *that* interesting most of the way round, and lots of "interactive" things you have to pay extra for. Staff are friendly enough though and helpful.

Only 4 stars its good but if you have a problem walking around then its got lots off stairs and no liftsSo a bit off a struggle thereBut apart from that awesome people and very interesting and informative things some photo from here

Great rainy day attraction, friendly staff and nit too expensive...it was also not crowded, which meant we could stroll through at our own pace - if you go through just looking at the main exhibitions, it takes around 30 minutes; however its packed with lots of whacky facts via the posters all over the wall, so you can really make it last much longer by taking in all the detail. We took our 11 year old daughter and she loved it! There is a lovely little gift and sweet shop at the end, selling things from a variety of prices, but no pressure to buy. My suggestion to them for smaller kids would be to perhaps look at doing a clue treasure hunt...give them a printed sheet to get certain words / letters from certain exhibitions to spell a sentence or word, or something like that...and give them a sweet at the end for completing it. Would definitely recommend this place...full of fun things to look at and fun facts 🙂

Not really much there, this is reflected in the low admission cost. No wheelchair access unfortunately.

A few cool thing but the admission price is far too high for what it offers. I took children (7 and 8through it, we took our time and still only last 35 mins, cost me £35

This is a brilliant place to go visit. We had fun reading the articles and seeing the wacky stuff found all over. It really is hard to believe all this stuff is real. Quite brilliant really and not expensive at all.

Went here a couple of weeks ago before the second lockdown, was really interesting well laid out and all one way to help stick to covid rules. Would definitely recommend on a rainy day.

If you can get discounted tickets then it would be worth a visit. For myself and partner we expected the weird and unusual and we were really disappointed. You can read better facts on the net. Not suitable for people who have trouble walking or wheelchair bound.

Its a favourite every Blackpool visit. £7 for 2 hours of informative fun. More Robert Wadlow souvenirs please.

Was OK for the price kids enjoyed it which was main thing.

Last year we throughly enjoyed it, spent about 45minutes there....this year it was missing things and we must of been in for 15 minutes max. When I asked why it wasnt as long I got told nothing had changed. At thought things may not of been open due to social distancing but this wasnt the case....not happy, waste of money and my son was disappointed due to it not being the same.

Went with my child aged range of 5 to 16 and we all loved it very interesting place

We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit, it was so fascinating learning about the most unusual things!We pre-booked our tickets, and went an hour before it was due to close so we were the only people there, which suited us just fine to go at our own pace & read everything. It took us nearly 40/50 minutes to go around, but we did rush a bit towards the end because it was nearing closing time.There were plenty of automatic hand sanitisers around, at the start of the new areas. However, I imagine it would be difficult to social distance in a place like this because the areas could easily be crowded.I’d definitely go again, it’s worth a visit😁

Wonderful attraction filled with interesting exhibits and facts

Fantastic place full of incredible things as you would imagine, certainly well worth the £7 entry. Took around an hour to get around inspecting everything and was completely empty aside from us so take that as a rough estimate depending on when visiting.Only downside for me personally was a couple of the descriptions on the wall didnt match with the exhibit shown but this could purely have been bad timing on my part as theyre updating and changing, Im not sure but overall absolutely reccomend.

This hidden little gem might not be classed as a top attraction but there is lots to see here. Very interesting facts and finds for the whole family to enjoy together. The only downside is we were down with the whole experience within 40 minutes even though we stopped and read all info.

Quite enjoyable walk around, took just under an hour. Quite interesting but also a bit of a let-down as a lot of displays are dummies or lookalikes rather than the real thing but interesting reading about Ripley and his adventures.

It was good as a 1 off visit. Price reasonable. Just a bit of a tight squeeze walking round and then steep stairs and we had a disability chair. Which made it real hard work. People behind us wanting to be past and we were trying to look at the stuff on show so it was all a bit rushed. Shame.

Lots to see and read but nothing overly special, the sneaky thing is you finish in the gift shop which is expensive. £1:79 for a 500ml of Irn Bru sorry but I aint that desperate yet....

Interesting visit, quite a few items on display, plus information/fact boards. A lot of things are behind glass and a few mannequins made up as "unusual or fascinating" people.Took just over an hour to walk through, very quiet, no rush or crowds, which was surprising with it being a Saturday in half term. Price very reasonable, £10 for an adult and child.Would I go again, probably not unless my son said he wanted to. Cant imagine the displays change that frequently.

Went with 4 year old and 18mth old. Was fairly quiet when we were there so was good as kids got to have a proper wander about. Some good little exhibitions for kids and not too big for smaller ones.

Fun little place with decent entrance prices. You can literally spend hours in there if you take your time and really look around and enjoy the exhibits. Staff were very helpful and the gift shop is fairly priced unlike some shops attached to attractions. Quite autism friendly but sadly not wheelchair accessible due to stairs and sharp turns.

Very quirky and worth a visit. Book in advance for a couple of quid off (can book the day before). Lots of weird puzzles and interesting facts inside. Take s a good hour with the family if you look round everything.

You will either love it or hate it, personally I loved it, it was interesting to see all the weird things from around the world.£6 to get in is a good price, although it may not be long, it’s a learning experience , you have to read everything & interact as your going round!I wouldn’t personally take children into here, as they will be bored, there’s a lot of reading and some of the sculptures may scare them !Overall , fantastic experience

Really fun and interesting, loads of great facts, kids loved it. It only took about an hr to get around but tickets were cheaper pre ordering so didnt mind, might of minded if id paid full price tho but worth a visit

If you have a child that does not like scary noises this probably isnt going to be an enjoyable experience for them!In all honesty, there isnt anything to be scared about (in my opinion, but my son would beg to differ!)Recommended for ages 7 upwards so they can understand the different exhibits.At the end is an optical illusion which you can bypass if you wish. I have uploaded a video showing it, it truly is disconcerting!

Lots of interesting facts and information. The place hasnt changed for years and could probably do with an update, but its responsible for many treasured childhood memories that have hopefully been passed on to my children.

Bit expensive for what it is. Should be discounts for families. Need to force yourself to read everything & slow down to justify the cost. Some will feel its overpriced, but we slowed down and read everything as much as young kids (14, 11 and 6could absorb, so OK for us. Some interesting exhibits at times but some seem a bit unnecessary or laboured. Kids bored at times when they had to reads lots. Staff at the entrance OK but not particularly friendly or helpful. Uneducated when asked about the app you can download. Older staff didnt know about it, yet right at the end it mentions it on display boards and you can unlock all content. Lady on the till in the gift shop really nice though.

I thought it was OK but not enough going on for your money. You can walk.around in less than an hour.
