Hip neighborhood joint offering New American cuisine with vegetarian options & craft beers on tap.
Unfortunately the food here wasnt very good in my experience, that said, service was quite good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. I would recommend this place for meeting with a friend to get coffee but would not really recommend the food itself.
Hadnt been here in a while, but the service was great, the food was equally good, drinks where solid and we left the place feeling happy, haha. Will be coming back more frequently, for sure.
Really good food. Loved the chicken salad. Will visit again
The waitress was outstanding and on top of the table needs without us having to ask for refills, etc. Food was fresh and hot. Delicious. Highly recommended!!!
Good sized portions. Not too long of a wait to get seated or served. Breakfast potatoes were cooked great but the food is bland not much flavor.
First time there. Quoted 20 min inside or eat outside so we decided to eat outside. We had our drink order taken and it came out wrong but they were quick to offer a fix. We had a pesto panini, the pancakes and chicken, and steak and eggs. Everything was delicious and decent portions. The complimentary biscuits and jam helped fill us up. The hollandaise sauce was some of the best Ive ever had. The waitress was consistent and I enjoyed they had us misted light with water while eating outside in the heat. We will definitely return.
The food was so good!! I really enjoyed my BBQ Salmon sandwich with the sweet potato fries.
Cold food when its supposed to be hot. The soup was salty. The simple toast is white untrusted. I really was so disappointed. Friends were telling me how great this place was. And so sorry to inform not really for me. Very respectfully, Disabled Navy Veteran.
We had a very nice lunch here today to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Excellent service from the entire staff. Our server Daisy brought a special gift of dipped chocolate straw berries we had delivered to the restaurant to our friend. She was thrilled. The food, atmosphere, service and the special gift made this a very special birthday for our friend. This was my first visit to the restaurant. It will not be my last.
Ripe restaurant what can I say but amazing the food is delicious and good portions this is the second time eating at restaurant it is worth the drive from Socorro to west side. The staff is so friendly the restaurant is so inviting they make you feel welcomed. Will keep going.
We called ahead to be put on the list they said it would be a 10-minute wait we got there exactly 10 minutes and they said even though were on the list we still have a 20 minute wait. Waitress had a matter of factly type attitude and we found hair literally baked in the food
Not sure whats going on with managements policies, but even though there were 4-tops available, they didnt seat us for Saturday brunch this morning when it wasnt even that busy.We were a 4-person group, not a crowd, and were initially told a 5-10 minute wait, but after 20 minutes of no communication, I asked for an update only to be told that actually itd be an additional 15-20 minutes.Even after pointing out the open tables and asking even just to sit down instead of standing awkwardly by the bar, the host told us hed get in trouble if he let us. At that point, there wasnt a good reason to stay, and we ended up having a quicker and more delicious meal at Crave.
I really like that they have outdoor seating so I can my pup with me. The salmon plate is delicious! Im not one for artichoke, but I had to make an exception with this dish. Its a must try here!
Had lunch at this place. Got one of their burgers with a salad. They also have chips with your burger. Pleasantly surprised. The burger was cooked right and the flavor was good. The bacon was a bit charred but it didnt negatively impact the flavor. It looks like a good brunch place. The place was clean and the service was good. I would come here again for lunch. Not sure about dinner though.
Went here to brunch a while ago. The place was busy so I’ll cut the wait staff some slack, but the food wasn’t that great and the black beans were awful. I wouldn’t recommend this place, even if a lot of other people do.
Service good as always, but some changes in menu are disappointing. The delicious French fries have been replaced with shoe string fries which are not satisfying. The hamburger also appeared smaller and bun different and inferior and not that good. Unfortunately my favorite hamburger the Bordeaux Burger which was exceptional has been eliminated from the menu. I am going to have to find somewhere else to go when I have the hamburger urge.
My daughter has eaten here. She bought me a $30.00 gift card and recommended d soup (Im partial to them)I lost my card and d manager has given me time to use it
The Carrot 🥕 soup is delicate and delicious. The Salmon sandwich 🥪 is perfectly paired with house dressing of berries with a slice of pineapple.
Food was excellent and the Spinach pistachio pasta was like nothing I’ve ever tasted. The service was exceptional, our server came by at the right time and was very attentive. Unfortunately a server dropped a glass of water and it chattered across the floor. Once all the other workers heard this they all sprung into action. One grabbed a broom, another the pale and mop while the others sealed off the area while they all cleaned. Another server passed noticed we were done with a plate and asked if she could take it, and she wasn’t even our server. Talk about teamwork, this is something you don’t see often. Highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed.
This is my favorite restaurant in town. I consider it a hidden gem because I feel like it’s a local hotspot. I get a really cute bistro feel from Ripe and I love the atmosphere. It’s kind of small, but well worth the wait! They have probably one of the most diverse and tasty drink menus. The wines are all spectacular and their beer selection is amazing, especially if you’re wanting to change it up! As for the food, don’t get me started… the chicken cord en BLEU sandwich is absolutely scrumptious. It’s definitely my go-to but also my safe choice when I can’t decide on something else to order. This last time we went we got the spicy mango burger with sweet potato fries and it was such a wise decision. The buttermilk fried chicken is also such a unique and delicious choice. Our waiter, John, was sooooo friendly and I hope we get him when we return. He was very knowledgeable on the menu, checked on us frequently and gave us his opinion on many of the dishes depending on what we were feeling. Such an amazing local restaurant! Love you all!!!
Ripe is the best restaurant to eat at in El Paso. The food is delicious and fresh every time. Elliot was my server and I 100% recommend him. He was awesome in providing great customer service and was very attentive. He brought the overall experience over the top, love him!
Absolutely delicious. Best fries in El Paso I promise. The food was so good. Its worth it!
Stopped in for lunch; I was in a jam, had to be somewhere in 25 minutes but I was starving . Waitress was great, but the Boss Lady one at the register was amazing . Told me she could have it out in 15 , she did it in ten ! Great Food ,Great Service and only spent $11.00 bucks. Confession , I have added the cashier to my list of SECRET LOVES!
Their portion sizes change from one week to the next. One week they give you a cheese cake with caramel, nuts, and whip cream. The next they give you a plain cheese cake and still charge you $7 for a piece. Might as well go to Albertsons. At least the consistency will be the way I like it. Or go to Texas Roadhouse.
Really good food, excellent wine selection for Mom and Pops. Really pleasant waiters and waitresses. Very attentive and actually wrote my order on a pad. Its amazing how you can remember the order if you write it down!
Very disappointed. I have been going to Ripe for many years and today restaurant was serving 4 or 5 tables. We were greeted and were seated and everyone forgot us. I asked the bus boy for help and he tried to get help. 2 waitresses all they did is look at as and ignore us.Unbelievable and unacceptable. We had to leave. As we were leaving we told them that not nobody helps us. The hostess and one of the waitresses did not show any concern. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and same thing. Did not even ask my name or try to make it right. Hope the owner sees this as this will hurt his business.
Terrible service. Last time I went my waitress was rude and wasted my time. It took her 10 minutes to come to my table and ask what I wanted to drink, standing around 4 inches away from my face. Im a fairly loud speaker, even with my mask, so this was unnecessary. When I told her what I wanted to drink, she just stared at me, as if she was waiting for me to order my food as well. This made me very uncomfortable. I had to wait another 5 minutes just for a lemonade, which wasnt sweet at all. My salad took longer, which it shouldnt have since it was a small 5 dollar vegan salad. I had to eat my food quickly since I was already late to class by that point, and I waited for her to come by my table to ask how was I doing. I waited for a while, but she didnt come. I just left the 20 dollar bill I had on the table and left, fed up with the service. I regret tipping her 12 dollars, never going back.
Always a great experience at Ripe. The food is always great, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is great, what more could you ask for, for a place to eat? The Triple B Burger has never let me down over the years. The wife always gets the poached pear salad, or Salmon sandwich. Their fries are great too if you like shoestring fries.
Had the bacon torrado burger with sweet potato fries and the tropical tea. Burger was really good.
The food was pretty decent, service was good. Went on a Saturday, didnt realize the weekend was only a brunch menu, but there were enough options. Had the pear salad, was very big, more than enough. Ate outside on the patio area, was pleasant enough except for the flies, but I cant really blame them for that.
I was very optimistic when I saw the pictures and menu but when I went in everyone took their turn to look at me but not ask if I needed help I asked for my food which was ready and they made me wait because they forget then didnt give me my drinks and the waiter said that their werent any I proceeded to show him my receipt and he walked away without looking at it and said he would get a waiter to help me then I proceeded to stand there until the manager noticed I was staying there for a while and asked if I needed any help it has honestly been one of the worst experiences Ive had this year and I refuse to go back I paid $125 for $40 worth of food and a raw burger I hope I dont get sick
Use to go to this restaurant once a week. Recently went in June 2021. I was disappointed with Pasta Salmon dish. See pic, not much salmon!I requested to speak with manager several times before he reluctantly came to the table. Sadly he was poorly trained in customer service. He said they prepare the dish with 3 ounces of salmon but it looked a lot less. Sad to see the restaurant has gone down hill.
Loved the Soup salad sandwich trio. I got the turkey club, Greek salad and chicken n rice soup. Made for a delicious yet not a heavy meal. Perfect for lunch. And be about my day without feeling bogged down. I would definitely do this again.
Food and drinks was delicious. Great service 👏🏽👍🏽. Plus the dining inside and outside both followed social distancing. But it is a little pricey
Meh....average at best. Second time here and both times the food was average. The reason for the two stars is because we waited 25 minutes for our food. There’s nothing worse than a slow kitchen on a busy day. Our waitress was MIA the entire time and couldn’t even stop by to fill our drinks. Lucky for her the manager picked up the slack. There’s was nothing fabulous about my French toast and the banana pecan pancakes were falling.
Food was delicious. However, good food is not hard to find.Service was lackluster at best. Our ticket was “lost” for our food and took almost an hour to get to us. People who had been seated 10-15 minutes after us got their food before us. Coffee refills had to be requested long after our glasses were empty. Some random guy, I’m assuming who was a manager? (didn’t bother introducing himselfcame to apologize for the delay but gave little towards reparations. And there was issues with identifying correct tables for anything, we were giving a check before we were given our food, and had decided to order additional drinks to ease the wait. We’re asked twice if the food being brought out was for our table and the condiments we requested were initially taken to the wrong table and had to be flagged down to be brought to our table.Overall, if you’re looking for a decent meal, good coffee and lackluster service this is the spot for you. If you enjoy good service I would recommend finding another establishment to dine at. I know I don’t plan to return and couldn’t recommend this eatery in good faith.
Best BRUNCH in El Paso. I have been here several times and never get disappointed. Didnt have to wait for long. The service was fast. The food came out 5 minutes afterwards hot and so delicious.
Id give it 4 stars if they had more vegan options. They have plenty of vegetarian options but not vegan. (Maybe 3-4 or 5 if you customize other dishes)The atmosphere is small and intimate dim lighting. Decorations are simple but nice. My experience with my waiter and food was awesome. The food was fresh, tasty and got to us quite fast. Also our waiter (I should have gotten his namewas quick, nice, and helpful. Try the Brussel sprouts without bacon if your vegan or vegetarian they are ! Mwah!!!👄
A really good restaurant. Carolina, my waitress was great. The meatloaf was yummy. Came with sauted veggies, smushed papas. You should try the Brussels sprouts; their fantastic.
This is actually the only restaurant in El Paso where I didnt feel conflicted about eating a salad out of a restaurant. There fresh juices were also quite tasty as well. However, the desert was quite rich and a bit too much for lunch.
Excellent food. A little on the expensive side, but it’s worth it if you’re wanting a great date night or just a treat. We got the pecan-crusted salmon, fried chicken, and Brussels sprouts appetizer. All meals were amazing. The food came out hot and fresh. Service was good. They also have a great wine menu and a decent beer selection. Highly recommend!
I took my daughter to grab some dinner last night after her choir concert because we were hungry, Ripe is close to home, and I didn’t feel like cooking. I found the atmosphere to be relaxing and welcoming. My daughter asked for a grilled cheese and fries even though it wasn’t on the menu and they didn’t bat an eye. Sure, grilled cheese isn’t difficult but not all places are willing to go off menu. I am a vegetarian (not veganand I really wanted to try the black bean burger. It sounded great. But I wanted all the stuff on the green chili burger, just without the meat. I asked for the green chili burger without meat and asked them to use the black bean patty. Let me tell you, it was no problem for them. And it was delicious! The black bean burger was super thick and moist-not dry at all like some can be. And the flavor combo was perfect. Overall, it was a great experience for an impromptu dinner. A bit fancier than cooking at home without being a difficult dining experience.
The service was great, the atmosphere was inviting, the food was prepared quickly. Unfortunately we are not big seafood eaters and we ordered the pecan crusted salmon. We are completely sure that it was prepared well and deliciously, but we just dont like the taste of seafood 🤷
Great customer service by Stephanie. Her attention to details and knowledge on the menu and recommendation made my first trip a wonderful experience. The Terriyaki Salmon and Sea bass was excellent. The portion was good size and food arrived quickly. The calamari apptizer did not have any breading. Sweet potatoes was sweet and oil free. Great experience. Will come again.
My favorite neighborhood restaurant. Amazing food, good service. Please order the Triple B burger it’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!
Enjoyed a great lunch at this corner restaurant. Salads and sandwiches looked at tasted amazing. To add on, the Black Bean Burger (Vand the Cordon Blue, soup, and salad in this picture ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had an amazing brunch experience here! Despite it being a busy sunday, we were seated in a reasonable amount of time, & our server was very quick to bring us drinks & some delicious biscuits! I ordered a pancake plate, & I’m very picky with my bacon- I like it BURNT! So when my food came & my bacon wasn’t exactly how I’d like it (I would have eaten it anywaysOur server brought me another order of bacon cooked just to my liking! Very impressed with both the food & service & will be returning :)
Great restaurant! Their menu is always changing. Tonight I got the tomato tziki chicken. It was very good
They had great coffee a large menu that was from both restaurants so a bit confusing... my breakfast dish had beets that were hard.. creative style meals mostly good. I would go back again for sure and try other items.
Visited this place as part of a company dinner. Really not much to complain about. The owner came over to check on us a couple of times. But they had an area reserved for us that was ready when we got there. The food came out quickly despite the size of our party and most importantly, it was delicious. I had the Portobello Mushroom Rockefeller and also got to try the shrimp tacos, ginger calamari and the hummus. The mushrooms were delicious and despite being a bit hesitant about the polenta, it tied the dish together. Probably because it was crispy. Our server was attentive and courteous as well. Will definitely be returning.
