Rio Maravilha - Gastropub in Lisbon, Portugal
Rio Maravilha in Lisbon
Description
Fabulous place to visit. Vibrant and cool. Great restaurants and shops. Not over-priced. Lovely artisan market on a Sunday. Amazing bookshop. Friendly service - we were even given blankets to wrap up in at the tapas restaurant when it got a bit cold. I would recommend this place to hang out at if you are wanting chilled out, weekend vibes 😊
MoreUnique and lovely place located in an old factory. Full of art, small boutique shops and restaurants. Great place to experience various tastes!
MoreInteresting, with good variety of foods. Nice to see good use of old buildings. Very poor cobbled surfaces so not ideal with a pushchair or wheelchair. Good spot to have something to eat and some drinks but not much else to see. Worth visiting if in the locality and after a bite to eat or a few drinks but not worth going out of your way to visit.
MoreAs a concept…it’s great and the choice of restaurant is great & plentiful also. We ate at cantinaLX which was nice we just had some snacks and a cocktail the only downside side was the sun was just cooking us and there was no fan or breeze so it was a tad uncomfortable. But the staff were friendly and nice and the meat cheese and bread we got was also nice.
MoreA cool place to wander with some interesting bits of street art. Overall, felt the vibe was still a bit touristic in its own way. I found lots of pieces not made locally. Still, has a wide variety of shops and eateries with which to pass the time.
MoreFun part of the city with a nice relaxed vibe. We only went there one evening. It is a bit commercial and the creativity is mostly seen back in the restaurant decor but fun to see if you have enough time. Great variaty in restaurants, not super cheap and as the sphere is relaxed the service is also as such 😉
MoreGreat place to chill out, have a dinner, have a drink, look for street art, listen to live music and some cool shops with artists and stuffs.. I recommend it to everyone to go there at least one time. 🙏
MoreA very nice setup. The bed bunk is well arranged, beds are isolated from each other, so you still have privacy although among other. The place has its own charm with a cool atmosphere. Breakfast is good. This place is definitely worth the low cost. Highly recommended. 😉😉
MoreCool art district with restaurants, shops and bars. Really cool for a stroll in the evening, nice atmosphere. Worth a visit!
MoreVery touristic but also very cool place that was once a a factory area, now is a vibrant market place with really good Mexican restaurants, a cool rooftop bar and an amazing book store which was a paper printing factory before.A lot of more restaurants and shops there!
MoreIt’s not my usual type of place/activity. The concept is cool and interesting, but there is no harm in making sure things are clean, safe and not smelly. Overall, lot of shops and good restaurants. Our highlight was the Ler Devagar library and Usaxe where you can eat unhealthy goodies and throw axes!
MoreVery cute place and friendly staff. We were just here for small bites and enjoyed our grille chicken and corn. Will definitely recommend for a quick bite and drinks after exploring LxFactory
MoreGreat place to come for a walk, for a snack, food or drinks. Also to buy some souvenirs or just for a coffee. They have a big amount of options for any taste. You can also cut your hair or get a tattoo here. They have parking that is 2€ for 2 hours, otherwise there’s many options with transport around. Everyone speak good English and the place is full of tourists that bring a great atmosphere here ☀️
MoreLooks similar to Off Piotrowska in Lodz Poland. Have look on the Internet photos. Idea is that same,to put restaurants and life in to old factories. Plenty of ppl waling around sitting in restaurants and have beer. So did I. I only checked Mexican restaurant and I can recommend. And everything under San Francisco sister Bridge.
MoreVery artsy place with lots of paintings, drawings, stickers, art and jewellery that you could buy as a gift or for yourself to enjoy. I love the idea of supporting local artists and providing their work with exposure. LxFactory also has some great bars, live music and graffiti thats definitely worth seeing. Visit LxFactory and you wont regret it!
MoreReally good experience here. Artists, creatives, small businesses, clothes food music jewelry and much more. Could spend half a day wandering around an old factory site. Great use of an old building. Loved it.
MoreSuch a fun way to spend an afternoon! A former industrial space thats been overtaken by artists to turn it into a great place to eat and shop with delightful murals and shops. If you visit on Sunday, theres a sweet craft market too.
MoreA lot of restaurants, bars, and cafes gave a new life to an old factory zone. It may not be appropriate for people with classic or traditional taste and mindset but could be interesting spot for a verity of tastes and preferences. Its accessable with private car and public transport. Its accessable for people with disabilities and on wheelchair. It LGB community friendly. Its a good spot for a fast bite or sitting and reading book or dance in a bar. Animals also allowed.
MoreIf you have extra time in Lisbon, then you might consider coming here. An old factory which has been/ is being renovated as a culture and culinary pub. There are lots of small restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy your time and also see some contemporary art works. It should be crowded in the evenings.
MoreA little fabricated, but cool art scene nonetheless. Would definitely recommend going here over the Time Out Market. Had really great coffee at Oh!Brigadeiro and loved the furniture and decor at Kare.
MoreA good place to visit but i cant believe this is not a walk district, they still allow car drive into this place. Most of the store are good, but not able to compared to other artist district, most of shops are totally selling the commercial item, not art craft.
MoreThis Place have many shops, cafes and rooftops to have a drink and see an incredible sunset. Great underground vibes in Lisbon
MoreLX - funky fun jazz bar art bar super happy neighborhood. I saw the best tourists of my generation embroiled in fun, chilling extraordinary. Try it, cats and kittens.
MoreVery cool area to stop into for a drink or some food. We went on a Sunday as there is a market out the back of it, this added extra ambiance and we really enjoyed it. Great choice of food and shops to look in. Would definitely visit again.
MoreThis is a good place if you are looking for an upscale food court setting. It is also a good place to get crafty gifts. Things seem to be a little overpriced.
MoreCool place with lots of restaurants, bars and stores (clothes, accessories etc.).Happy hour (5€ for 1 cocktailis usually from 4 to 6 pm.
MoreGreat place to visit filled with awesome restaurants, shops and art work. Highly recommend coming here for an atmosphere thats not too crazy but lots of excitement and fun.
MoreAmazing little find (and not permanently closedcan wonder the streets and little shops, cafes and the art offices. Amazing works and allHappy to chat and see new photography, architecture and most importantly … axe throwing!!
MoreGreat food, lots of different options, we ate in the Mexican in there. Lots of quirky shops and art installations, lots of Lisbons street art you will find here. No traditional Portuguese food, however the options available are really good. What some would describe as a hipster part of the city
MoreDefinitely worth visiting! Perfect place for food and drinks. Also, there are plenty of cool artistic shops to visit.
MoreA really cool place (depending on what you like- for those whove been to London, its like a nicer Camden Market. Definitely agree with other reviewers regarding the prices in the boutiques - I didnt end up making any purchases, but soaked in the atmosphere. However, if you do want to buy something unique theres a small business market open on the Lx grounds on Sundays thats definitely worth checking out - theres a wider price range there :)
MoreWorth a trip. Easy place to walk around, plenty of restaurants some cool art, shopping if youre into it. Book store with jazz messenger were the best. Old printing press and artist on top deck was cool.
MoreCool area you have to check out. Very hipster area but it’s awesome to see. There’s a ton of graffiti everywhere which helps the experience. There are shops to get clothes and other goods at as well as a food court with anything you want
MoreTrendy cafes and stores but not necessarily interesting. Nice gifts to find but everything was overly priced. We were expecting to see more mural and art installations, so it was kind of a disappointment for us.
MoreI think its best to go there in the afternoon/ early evening. Take some minutes to check out the shops and have a nice drink at one of the bars. I wish there would have been much more art and self-made our sustainable products.
MoreTo hyped! A lot of places to eat, and decent food, the prices for food is high, and the prices in the stores are higher. The atmosphere is urban and hipster, a good place for the young crowd.
MoreCool place with lots of chic bars & restaurants. Live band playing when I was there in a restaurant near the entrance. Situated pretty much under the bridge. Artistic area.
MoreWhat an amazing place, and old industrial estate repurposed for a new generation! Sitting just under Lisbons giant bridge this is definitely a place to find the unusual, great food and incredible crafts!Big for people who love Instagram, as there is literally something Instagram will love around every corner. We visited on Easter Sunday and under the water tower was a great pop up market filled with random things. Some of the food and drink offers are Uber stylish, this includes a great Mexican bar/restaurant and rooftop bar allowing you to look over the area from a height and just soak in the ambiance!Hunt down the bookshop it’s a must! And always remember to always look up, you’ll be amazed what you find, even a smashed in window adds a new dimension to this utterly amazing location, an artists dream, a students place to chill and a thoroughly rewarding place to visit!
MoreIt was not as large due to the construction site, but the shops are quirky and a good browsing experience. Definitely a good place to buy cool accessories! Plan for 2h
MoreThere is something for everyone here. Great place to find a good meal from exotic places. Music everywhere and a cool vibe atmosphere. Cute little stores and art at every turn.
MoreA must when visiting Lisbon. A lot of local independent artists. Local gift shops. A wide variety of food restaurantsans for all dietary requirements. You can go for just a walk. Nice vibes!
MoreLX Factory is inaugurated in 2007 and Lisbon finally had a spot for the creative, cultural, artistic, musical, architectural and fashion scene to live and bloom. Today, the space is home to more than 200 businesses ranging from cafés, restaurants, design houses, show-rooms, shops, offices, commercial spaces to other projects that link directly to the space’s unique cultural and artistic standing.
MoreVery artistic... Cute little stores... Cozy places to spend an afternoon sipping ur favorite drink. There is a rooftop bar with chill music.
MoreOne of the best places I’ve visited, the vibes here are immaculate. Spent the whole day here visiting the shops, drinking and eating. On a Sunday there is an amazing band playing at a bar.
MoreCandidly have mixed feelings. It’s a nice concept with having a variety of shops, restaurant, drinks places but it felt less like a place for lots of wandering (our planand more like a place that would be nice if visiting a specific food place or shop. It also felt a little touristy, with a few shops having more English than Portuguese and fairly high prices in shops.
MoreVery nice place to hang out in walk around and buy things. Lots of local stores with various vocations. The place is structured in a old buildings campus converted to a hip type of environment with lots of local Marchants and assorted restaurants and cafes. With that being said, its hard to ignore the harsh consumerism atmosphere there and that basically its a big shopping place. Very stylish indeed but still shopping center. Not.much to do there than to go and buy things. Still very nice and worth a visit.
MoreA chic, hipster and underground complex. worth a visit. At the weekend there is more people. These are industrial buildings that have been used for shops, cafes, restaurants and other small and cool businesses. Very close to bridge 25
MoreHipster street with many sweet boutiques and restaurants. There are also some art galleries and furniture stores located here. Definitely worth a visit if you want to hang out in a chill ambiente a bit.
MoreIt’s my third time here at LxFactory, and I love it. A place for mostly young people, but also for those who love arts. You’ll find here many shops, restaurants and hand made products. Maybe it’s a bit far from the city center, but once you’re in Lisbon you have to visit it. You won’t regret it.
MoreIt’s a must go place to go in Lisboa. Very industrial, old fabrics turned into bars, clubs, shops - anything u want. Awesome vibe around, with planes flying above your head. We were able also to visit small flea market next to it as well, which was pretty cool.
