Super friendly and open to all

Although google has it marked closed, it indeed was not. The place seems like a leftover relic of a once great hostel. My brother and I went to check in but after being shown our bunks and given questionable sheets we opted to just split a hotel room. If I were traveling by myself though I would have probably stayed.

Scam

The owner is absolutely amazing. She was so sweet! There was a great place to hang out on the rooftop as well as below since it gets too loud for the neighbors when everyone is having a good time on the rooftop. She provided great Sangria right away. My only complaint was not having curtains on the windows. After such a great night and staying up waaaaay too late, that sun was brutal the next morning.

Very good. Mary Ann is very informational in what to see and do. Great host.

Very moderate price in a quaint and cozy atmosphere with excellent customer service. The rooms are comfy and clean. The beach is a couple of blocks away, and right at it, great restaurants and a fabulous ice cream shop.

Este sitio tiene un encanto especial, desde su gente hasta su ubicacion. Se encuentra en uno de los pueblos mas divertidos de toda la isla. Su emplazamiento es de lo mas practico, puedes ir caminando a todos los sitios por lo que no necesitaras un carro para moverte. Lo recomiendo al 100% . Si te gusta el surf desde su tejado podrás ver el mar todas las mañanas y decidir que spot es el más adecuaco para ti y si nunca lo has probado pregunta al Staff ellos te diran lo que tienes que hacer para dar unas clases. Recomiendo visitar el artwork festival que se realiza todos los jueves de la semana en la plaza del pueblo. La zona del Faro es espectacular, recomiendo visitarla tambien especialmemte al atardecer, los colores son muy bonitos.

This place is amazing! Comfortable beds, really inclusive atmosphere, and a great location. Mary is the best, shell treat you like family.

Such an amazing experience! Came down with no idea of what to expect and they made me feel right at home. Im currently celebrating one of the staffs birthdays at a restaurant down the corner with everyone in the hostel and I am, not only having a wonderful time, but I feel comfortable and happy to be with them! Beautiful location right in town, walking distance from many restaurants, farmers markets, beaches, and pretty much any thing youre looking for in order to have a good time. Beautiful place, beautiful time, beautiful people! 100% recommended!

Stayed here in Feb. 2015 (sorry for the super late reviewPlace was amazing in a great location to everything. They were really accommodating to my last second changes (I needed to switch and get a private room). Cant wait to go back.

I have stayed in Rincon many times and at many places-but the location is perfect being one block from the beach, one block from the Harbor Resturant complex (that not only includes the Resturant but also a soveniour shop, X-stream sports rentals), one block from the Ballneario (public beach)Only a seven minute walk The Marina Beach (4 restaurants, paddle board and snorkeling rental-we even saw big sea turtles this year in the waterwhere you can launch your boat or rent one!The downtown square is an easy three block walk (dont miss the Art Walk in the square every Thursday night AND the Farmers Market in the square on Sunday Morningswith restaurants available with a few shops also!The Rincon Surf Hostel is making improvements every time I visit and people from the states, Sweeden, Europe, South America, Japan and Australia and lots of other countries have stayed there!Dont forget the Cafe to Go right out front with the BEST coffees around!Location, Location, Location for the Rincon Surf Hostel!!!

Dont get me wrong, the place needs alittle work. The house has amazing potential, just needs a couple coats of paint and the addition of hot water. But the beach is only about a block away and La Plaza about 2-3 blocks.However, the three people managing the hostel (Gwen, Geno, and Denniswere incredibly nice!! I stayed for a couple of days extra just to hang out with them. They were super knowledgeable about local hidden spots. Wish I could have stayed longer!

The owner Mick is super cool and everybody in the hostel was really nice
