Great food, excellent ambience and lovely staff. Prices where on the higher side, but still reasonable. Portions were decent.

Best Japanese food! Recommended for vegetarians. Must try veg katsu curry if you are a vegetarian.

Friendly service but stopped buying lunch from them since they started charging 50c extra for take-aways.

Been here a few times with it being in a great location. Good solid portions especially for the price with a great atmosphere for dining in or easy to pick up and take out some food on the way through. Would especially recommend the katsu curry.

My god 10/10 this food is the most satisfying i have had in a while. If you dont know what to have ive got the perfect place for you... Rikyu!!!!!!

Friendly welcoming staff, great small place to enjoy your sushi. Fish taste fresh, highly recomended.

Came here for ramen and taste alright. I think we ordered wrong food. The portion is decent and priced descently for lunch special. Pork on ramen reminds me on one of korean steamed pork. Soup based is alright, it is light. Service is nice and friendly. Will try the other lunch special when Im back.

My friend and I ordered 3 types of sushi (Aburi Salmon, Chicken and Avocado and Terryiaki Salmon). All sushi came out on ceramic plates sliced into 8 large pieces.The sushi was beautifully made, incredibly fresh and the service was wonderful. We were offered miso soup with our meals and a mayonnaise / soy sauce side for our chicken and avocado sushi.If you are looking for a great place to have sushi that’s a little bit fancier than a sushi train (and much better quality). Definitely check this place out!

Amazing food and service. I order here almost weekly and it never fails to live up to a high standard. Everyone is also so lovely and helpful!Please give it a go if you are tossing up where to eat.

I ordered a fresh salmon don and was disappointed. The portion of the bowl was small which is okay. But most importantly, those slices of salmon sashimi was very thinly cut, which is not what I would expect from the price. I do love the atmosphere there and the staff was nice.

Delicious Japanese bento and sashimi. Must go if you are in Milton. The location is beautiful. Parking can be found nearby some are paid and some are free along the street. Nice customer service. Try to order some sides along with the main dish. You wont be disappointed.

Ordered a Sashimi Bento and, let me tell you, it was good! They spared no expense on getting that dish ready. Loved it!

Delicious fresh sushi, well presented and fast, considered service. Probably the best Chicken Kaarage ive had to date. Only down side would the limited selection of special dishes such as Dragon Rolls.

What a fantastic unexpected delight. Quiet little restaurant (on a Thursday nightwith the best Japanese food I’ve had in about a year. We are so happy to have found this gem and the kids loved it (6yro and 3yro). We had edamame, tempura prawn, karaage, chicken noodle soup, beef teriyaki sizzle plate. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. The karaage was lightly coated and fried just the right amount so it was juicy and tender. The soup was the best chicken stock soup I’ve ever had. So much flavour! The beef teriyaki was sizzling hot when it arrived and did not disappoint in the balance of veg, meat and authentic teriyaki flavour. The kids ate seconds of everything. We will definitely be back. 😊👍

Pretty quiet on weekday nights. Food tasted fabulous but the portion is quite small given the price.

Lovely food! Didnt meet any dietary requirements last time I came but this time was a massive improvement! Would come again.Pros:- very yummy food- good amount of veggo options- a nice range of Japanese food, some that you dont see a lot elsewhere- good priceCons:- really cold even in the inside (I was sitting close to the entrance though)- serving cold green tea instead of hot green tea or cold water

Loved the atmosphere and food!Tonkastu was golden cripsy, sashimi very fresh and of a big portion. Also lived my favourite small dish, agdashi tofu. Everything was scruptious ans the staffs were helpful and attentive. Would definitely go back!

As a massive sushi buff prior to sushi being a thing i can honestly say this venue is in the top 3 sushi venues in SE QLD without a doubt.. the sushi chef is an actual sushi master not someone with 3 weeks training and no idea hpw to pay homage to the art that is sushi.. this little place is excellent on price vs quality and beats out nearly anywhere...

This deserves ten out of ten honors (Yes I know. Its only out of 5!). All round good service from the first moment of walking into the restaurant. Absolutely the best Japanese food I have tasted. Nice and clean. Try the beef steak they do it like now where else!Edit: This restaurant has changed management a couple of occasions but I believe it is still quality.The menu has most of the publics favourites and one can even get a beer here!Keep it up you guys.Chefs are very friendly and say goodbye upon leaving the restaurant.

Ordered $11 tuna sashimi but when I got home, it was tiny. Considerably less than what you would get for $11 anywhere else.

Changed ownership 4 months ago, new Korean owners. Food quality has dropped significantly, liqueur was watered down.

Average at best! Had the Ramen had about three pieces of pork average broth over priced!

This Rikyu is not the old Rikyu anymore. It’s now just a standard Korean/Japanese restaurant that serves curry rice, fried chicken etc, and also overpriced for these simple meals that you can find anywhere in a foodcourt. Nothing like the old authentic Japanese Rikyu.

Great ambiance from the restaurant. Excellence varieties of foods and top quality. So many good looking foods on the menu took me so long to choose!!The fried soy chicken was absolutely delicious and fried just right!I’ll be back :)

Really nice staff, definitely one of the most affordable and good quality restaurants in the area! The menu gives a lot of good options and they were willing to change the recipe to make it vegetarian for me. The green tea ice cream was so nice!

Brilliant food and great value, the dinner sets are amazing.and remarkably filling. Great choice of drinks and fantastic music.

I had Nabeyaki Udon soup. It was a tasty broth with a prawn, pieces of chicken, other nondescript items and lots of noodles. It lacked a silky mouth-feel so I guess it wasnt made using bones. It wasnt worth the $20 I paid.

Love the food here! Tastes fresh and great value. Only downside would be the small size of the restaurant makes it feel like your eating in a sauna. Overall though if wanting some delicious authentic Japanese around Milton this is the place to go. Recommend the Chicken Katsu Curry.

I have just come from Rikyu after eating there for dinner. I felt compelled to jump online to tell others how absolutely wonderful this place is! I have eaten in many Japanese restaurants over the years and this is one, if not the best, I have come across. Somewhat unassuming from the street front, I was taken by surprise by the quality that followed.The menu was diverse, extremely well priced, the food arrived so quickly and was fresh and well presented. I ordered the "dinner set" for $22. Miso soup, salad, rice, teriyaki salmon, 5 generous chunks of both fresh tuna, and salmon sashimi. For this price, you might expect the quality to be a little average but no...it was excellent!! The service was fantastic. Their waitresses are the best I can remember in any restaurant for some time. They run a tight ship, take great pride in their food, their customers and it shows. I walked out pinching myself it was that good! Thank you Rikyu, I will make a special trip to eat with you again sometime!

Very elegant and tasty food. Sashimi are fresh and delicious, tempura is very tender, the atmosphere is great! Customer service is friendly.
